Ms Brewer is a new to me author. The NES Series is a spinoff of the O’Connor Brothers Series, but I was able to read and not be completely lost. That was a book jam packed with action, suspense and a love worth fighting for.
Ben knew early on that he was in love with Abbie. But, due to events of their past he was determined that they could never have that relationship. He would never be able to tell her what happened and he couldn’t live with her and have the past ruin everything. He was certain that pushing her away and keeping his distance was the only way. He was miserable and barely tolerable to everyone else.
Abbie was very upset when Ben left her after their one night stand. She was certain there was something there for both of them. Confused but determined to move on she keeps taking one more step forward. When she finds herself in the hospital and in need of protection. Ben is the first person her father calls on. Can she handle being so close to him again and not being able to have him?
Will the secrets of the past come to light? Will they put a bigger wedge between them or bring them closer together? Could there be a connection to their past in the dangers Abbie is in now?
Interested to see where the series takes us next.
Trunk and abbies story is so good. He finds out some stuff and after their hot and steamy time together he up and leaves. He leaves her to live her life. He throws himself into work. They reconnect when she is hurt and in hospital. It was so good I loved it. He is so stubborn
“Okay, I don’t even know who to start. This was my first book of this author and it surely won’t be the last one. Risky Vengeance was pure bliss and I’m so glad I read it. Trunk and Abbie’s story was full of turns and twist with some jaw dropping moments. The moment I read I the prologue I knew my heart needed to be ready. Honestly the reason why Trunk left Abbi was so painful and it broke my heart but as hard as it was I get why he needed to split ways but what happens with true love? Fate always have a way to put them together though it was a hard moments for both of them. To be honest, what happened to Abbie after Trunk come back to ‘rescue her’ gave me goosebumps in a bad way. Such a horrible situations that broke my heart and soul. One of my greatest fears. A story with some drama, angsty moments, suspenseful situations and dots mystery with a good level of love, romance and passion.”
This is my first book by this author, and I loved it! It had suspense, heartbreak, and drama! There were times I wanted to slap Trunk and times I was yelling at Abbie, but those are both signs of a good book! This book drew me in and I felt like I was right there.
Hot suspenseful with lots ot twist and turns
Trunk feels he has to give up Abbie the love of his life before she finds out the truth about her sister . Abbie is hurt and Trunk gets involved again to protect her. This book is full of twist, turns and lots of suspense that will keep you at the edge of your seat.I am definitely looking forward to reading more of Rhonda’s books.Being Canadian I love that is is a Canadian author . KUDOS FOR SUCH A GREAT READ
This a first read for me by this author, and she’s Canadian, extra bonus! This is a spin-off of the O’Connor brothers and sisters series. Trunk and Abbie have a one night stand and he leaves her and won’t tell her why. Time passes and now Abbie’s in danger. Trunk is now back in her life but is still not sure if he can stay. There are lots of characters in this book which were easy to follow along with. The plot is very complex, you think you are done with the villain, but up again they come, loads of twists and turns and it was woven together to make one spectacular story. I loved how it all came together in the end, not just for Abbie and Trunk, but others as well. I will definitely recommend this author and I would read more of her books.
I received this advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review.
