Who is Casey Diam and where has she been hiding? What the f@#$!?! This is an incredible book. It’s impossible to leave the story. Even when I had to put my kindle down and adult, I was constantly trying to figure out all the pieces to this puzzle.
And what a puzzle it is!!!!!
Holy moly! My mind is spinning. My heart is freaking pounding. Not to mention the steamy scenes that had me panting like a dog in heat. What doesn’t this book have!?! Only answer to that is an ending. Lol. It ends in a big old wtaf!?! Or as others commonly refer to it…a cliffhanger.
Trust is definitely a book you need. I strongly advise grabbing the Hope and Love too because I have a feeling binge reading is required. I only stopped in my pursuit of answers to type this review. YOU NEED THIS BOOK.

You definitely need this book. I can’t even hold my impatience in check. I need to know what happens next. This action packed book has me on edge and I can’t wait for it to take me higher with Hope, book 2.
Trust by Casey Diam is book One in the Things That Matter. This is the story of Caleb and Paige.
Paige runs from her past that took her parents. They were killed and to keep from the same fate she works to keep her self save by hiding as much as she can. Caleb feels a connections to Paige and she to him. But he knows that he shouldn’t because his father is following her and can lead to her being hurt by this information.
This was a page turner that doesn’t end with this book, the second book ‘Hope’ picks up their story.
This is the first book in a trilogy from this author. Paige has a heartbreaking story, and does not know who she can trust. Caleb overhears his dad talking about Paige, and starts to watch her. This is a well written story which is filled with suspense, drama, mystery, and had me on tenterhooks throughout. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series, and I recommend this talented author’s work for all.
This story starts off with a bang, literally! Paige and Conner’s story is filled with mystery, treachery and some seriously sexy times. There was just enough secrecy with the story that it kept me turning pages and reading next chapters.
The insta-attraction seemed a little against the grain of Paige’s intuition and caution since she’s been in hiding and on the run since she was 18. But Conner’s determination and intrigue kept him within Paige’s radar. Even though we’re left wondering throughout the story what Conner’s back story and ultimate goal with Paige is, we know that he cares for her unlike any other woman he’s ever met. Even he can’t quite figure out what it is about her that keeps bringing him back and defying his family and father. The mystery surrounding his family and what part he plays in it kept my attention.
Of course we’re left on a cliff hanger and now I have to know what happens between these two. Love the book cover as well.
A puzzle wrapped in a riddle inside a mystery. Very accurate words to describe Trust by Casey Diam. Even with this being brand new I just knew after reading the blurb that I would love this book and I was more than proven right. Sometimes the best stories turn out to be the ones you didn’t know were coming out. I am so pleased that I was given the opportunity to review Trust and believe me when I say this book is straight up crazy awesome.
It took one traumatic event to open up the biggest can of worms for Paige Wells. Five years later and life has only gotten harder. Not only is the anxiety and paranoia worse but now there is someone else in the picture who just won’t go away. Caleb Connor’s whole life has been nothing but a series of steps controlled to go a certain direction because the wrong move would mean the end. But if Caleb wants to stay alive he must do whatever it takes to assure his saftey and now Paige’s as well. Spending time together is a bad idea for both but with their hearts not listening to their brains, letting go is not an option anymore.
The drama that pours from these pages was incredible. Not only do you not see anything coming til it’s upon you, but one revelation brings on a million more questions. The title is beyond fitting because it’s literally the main theme to this storyline. Paige and Caleb are basically two sides of a coin who’s souls call out to each other. It’s impressive how much you can understand someone without knowing much of anything about them but when a connection runs that deep you just have to roll with it. Casey Diam blew me away with this debut story and with Trust being the start to a series and with such fantastic writing, I will definitely have my eyes peeled for more.
Paige Sawyer is 15 years old when her parents and sisters are murdered in their house but she manages to escape before they can find her. Since then she feels like she is being watched and there were questions about who she truly is with the police and psychologists afterward.
Caleb Conner is watching Paige after he overhears his father talking about her but he is not sure why. Soon Caleb finds himself falling for Paige and wanting to protect her but he doesn’t know why he needs to.
As Caleb and Paige slowly begin to trust each other they begin to find themselves in something bigger than they could have imagined. Will Caleb’s father discover what he is doing behind his back and can they discover why he is after Paige?
When Paige discovers the truth about her past who will she trust?
This is a great introduction to the series and it looks like it is going to be filled with lots of mystery and action as well as some romance!
My heart was broken for Paige and what she went through and had to witness when she was 15. I totally understood why she thought someone could still be after her but I found it somewhat strange that she seemed to be in the town where the people after her were located. I loved that she was strong and was preparing herself for what may come.
Caleb was much more intriguing and I was curious to know more about his story and why he was protecting Paige. This book began to give us a look into his life but there are still so many gaps that need to be filled in. It was obvious how much he cared about Paige and that he really did not want anything to happen to her.
I loved the mystery surrounding their respective families and how things began to make sense in this book but there is still so much more to learn! I really liked the relationship between Caleb and his best friend Calvin and how he was there for him so much when he needed him.
The “relationship” between Caleb and Paige was so raw in a sense as they needed a basic level of trust but in reality neither really knew if it was there or not. Paige still had doubts about Caleb through the whole book and it was understandable.
I am definitely looking forward to book 2 and learning more! – By Rebecca
At 19 years old, Paige is afraid to connect with too many people, for obvious reasons. Four years ago, she was the sole survivor of a hit on her family. On the run under an assumed name, Paige isolates herself from others while blocking out the past. But a chance meeting with a smoking hottie named Caleb, reminds her of a past she wants to forget.
I am so hooked on this series and the writing style of this author. Excellent storyline and a scorching chemistry between Paige and Caleb kept me interested, while the shocking plot twist left me stunned. This is a cliffhanger, but it is a book that is so good that it is worth the read. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
This was a pretty good story and I didn’t realize that it was also the authors debut novel. Poor Paige is all alone and basically running for her life. She’s trying to stay on the down low from the person who took out her whole family. She’s had to grow up pretty fast for a nineteen year old. Caleb has his own secrets and is trying to protect her. This whole book is packed full of suspense, twists and turns. Their story kept me interested enough that I want to find out what will happen next.
I am in complete Awe that Trust is Casey Diam’s debut novel. It had all the right components, suspense, good characters, great plot, love and sex. I love a good sexy yet suspenseful story and that’s just what I got!!!!
Paige is so intense and for good reason…. her family was all killed yet she survived!! Now all she can do to stay safe is watch her back and stay ahead of those she feels want her dead also!
Caleb, sexy and sweet, is drawn to Paige yet he really should stay away but it’s impossible. She feels a strong connection with him and he knows it.
This story had me up and down in emotions and fearful for what was coming. Well done Casey. I look forward to the next book!!!
