this is another page turning story in the series. can they survive till the wedding, can they protect the women and children in the shelter? can Bree bring herself to pick out a dress, then there is the camping outing, my oh my , could not stop reading it. I was given a copy of the book but this is an honest review. I hope we see more of them in some other books. looking forward to the next book in another series
Can I live in Risk Peak? I’m a city girl but, I would love to live in a community that wholeheartedly embraces the people that live there. Their caring, their support and their love is truly inspiring and makes you wish for better in reality.
Bree and Tanner are one of my favorite couples. They are perfect, adorable and a forever couple. You can tell that they have the real thing especially in this book. Bree and Tanner are a team that weathers any storm and they do seem to get in the middle of them. The drama is scary because it is more realistic than their other predicaments. Marilyn and her two small children, Sam and Eva are living at Bree’s women’s shelter, New Journeys waiting for her abusive husband, Jared’s trial. Unfortunately, Jared isn’t giving up on being with his wife to the point of dangerous extremes. The spine chilling events that befall the small camping expedition that include Tanner, Bree, Marilyn, the two children, Tanner’s brother Noah, and two other woman from the shelter is hold your breath intense and it feels like you are looking down from a ridge too high and are powerless to help. The deadly ordeal in the wilderness is not the last of their troubles and Bree and Tanner’s wedding is only days away. They need that pledge of forever to say when the words don’t always come.
I highly, without a doubt recommend this book.
Sums up Bree and Tanner’s relationship perfectly
Bree, genius hacker turned woman’s shelter director, and Tanner, the Captain of the county Sheriff’s department, have moved on from most of the aftermath dealing with the events of the past year. As the story progresses trouble strikes the shelter, danger crawls through the area, and digging deep is the only way they will survive. Janie Crouch’s Risk Everything sums up Bree and Tanner’s relationship perfectly, they are willing to risk everything to keep each other alive.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
I received an ARC for this book. This is another excellent chapter to Bree and Tanner’s romance. Janie Crouch is fantastic. The strong characters introduced in the first book have been carried to this book. The plot is intriguing and the action non-stop. I was unable to put the book down. It is a page turner. Facing danger together, will they be able to make it out alive? Will they finally be able to celebrate their wedding? I would recommend this book/series to everyone.
Bree has faced so many nightmares, and her wedding should not have been one of them. The book opens, though, with her battling to decide on wedding items, which seems too lighthearted for a Bree and Tanner book. But a fire at the shelter could be a bigger problem than deciding on a dress. Although Tanner’s able to identify the person behind the arson, surviving and overcoming is not going to be easy, and his brother Noah gets involved too. The Bree that is in this book has grown so much from the terrified, anxious Bree of the first book in the series, and the reader is privileged to have been on that journey with her. I genuinely feel that Janie Crouch’s characters are one of the greatest strengths in her writing; they are so real and so relatable. The story’s great too, don’t get me wrong, but in this book particularly, the characters are the highlights.
I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.
What a fantastic way to end a brilliant series.
Was dreading reading it as didn’t want to say goodbye to such wonderful characters with mindblowing adventures. Luckily having read most of this authors work, I know we’ll see glimpses of them in future books.
Bree and Tanner deserved this book so much after what they went through to get to that point.
Of course in their typical style there just had to be gunfire and drama leading right up to that walk down the aisle.
Make sure you don’t miss out on the action.
Would give more stars if I could.
It’s been a wild courtship for Bree and Tanner, but things seem to have settled down and their wedding day is drawing near. Bree is in a tizzy over the dress and writing her vows, but she’s determined to show Tanner just how far she’s come since their first meeting. Tanner is ready to claim Bree as his wife and show the world how much she means to him. However, when a fire breaks out at the women’s shelter Bree works at, Tanner and Bree once again find themselves in another dangerous situation…hopefully their last.
Bree has come so far since the first book. She’s more outgoing, confident, and still has her practical smarts to keep Tanner intrigued. I love how Tanner and Bree’s relationship developed into one of teamwork and trust, but even I was surprised-and highly entertained-by Bree’s reluctance in making wedding decisions!
From start to finish, each book in this series has been an adrenaline rush of action and suspense and a solid romance in calmer moments! Crouch has done a great job with this series, but I’m not ready to say goodbye! I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a story about Noah, Marilyn, and her kids…or even Cassandra;)
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from Harlequin and Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I received this ARC from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for a fair and honest review.
Risk Everything is the 4th book in the series, as with the previous books this book was awesome. I have loved watching Bree and Tanner as they build a relationship. Bree has blossomed in the books from a girl so scared of her own shadow that she rarely leaves her home. Through the trials she has endured she met Tanner and the true Bree has emerged. A strong woman, that can face whatever she is faced with. This is a action packed book, full of twists and turns. I would definitely recommend this book and series to others.
