The stakes have never been higher, and she’s full of the devil.
Edward Fasbender is my husband.
Together, we brought down powerful men.
Now we have a chance to start over. To be the family neither of us ever had, to leave the past in the past where it belongs. Edward has a choice to make.
It will decide if we fall into the flames–or rise together.
Rising is the fourth and final book in the … together.
Rising is the fourth and final book in the Slay Quartet.

The author delivers a sexy and heartfelt romance in book 4 and the explosive conclusion of this outstanding and steamy series.
LP really hooked me right from the beginning. Celia and Edward’s story is erotic and passionate, sexy and infuriating- IT WAS A WILD RIDE FOR SURE and I loved every minute of it.
So much is revealed in this book to help you understand Celia. I have always been fascinated by her character but with the impeccable storytelling of the author made me root for her till the very last page.
Outstanding quartet and an epilogue that provides us with the ultimate perfect ending.
I can’t believe this is the last book of this AhMazing series. But what a roller coaster. My feelings for Celia are not so high, due to conflict of interest aka Alayna. But I’m so glad she got what she deserved, because some even if they are bad, deserve happiness and Celia did deserve her Happiness. Edward oh my word. He is just one Hawt man, a total Alpha male. Gah. This series is just beautiful. Edward and Celia are just perfect for each other. This last book doesn’t disappoint. Thank you Laurelin for an awesome book and beautiful series!!!!!
Rising is the final book in Laurelin’s Slay series. Edward as Celia’s journey has been full of “What the heck” moments, sweet, scary and OMG moments. You must read these four books in order. I’m sad to this journey come to and end because it was fantastic!!!
Laurelin has out-done herself with this series!!! It was truly truly amazing
Whether your new to Laurelin or a longtime fan (longtime here!) You will have heard of the Fixed Trilogy? That is where we first meet Celia yes? I adore that series, it’s in my top all time favourites and Hudson’s book is my all time favourite male pov book, no questions asked!
And I’ve said it before in my reviews – I didn’t like Celia! AT ALL lol. But you can bet your sweet behind, I was still first in line to read her story!! And what a story! Oh my days, I was addicted from the first spoiler….and I still didn’t like Celia! Then the third book happened and I felt like complete and utter keek because she broke my ‘lil heart, I cried for her and I got kinda angry at myself too – how many men have I, and you too I’m sure, read about, like pure a**wipes, nasty, dangerous men and yet we fall head over heels in love with them?! Lost count? Yeah, me too!!!
Anyway, book 3 sent me in a full 180 about Celia, I will never forgive her but yeah I kinda love her now
(Is it wrong that I feel so strongly about these people and hold grudges lol??)
Anyway! I now love Celia As for Edward – he is the devil in disguise and I’ll be honest, I didn’t love him straight away (but I think it was Celia’s fault because I was still so angry at her )
Now? Edward you devil you…mmmmmmmm he loves her big style! What is hotter than a man who loves with his all?!?! He’s intense, focused, quite scary at times and he’s not someone you would want to cross!!!
The actual storyline? Sorry peeps but I’m keeping zipped on that – it’s too good to spoil it, just be sure to read the previous 3! (And if your like me then you’ll want to go back to the very start with Hudson and Alayna!..and Gwen…and Chandler…and Patricia…etc )
Bottom line….an excellent 5 star read that is sexy, has all the feels and has that extra bit that can only be found in Laurelins books! Amazing.
I voluntarily received an arc from the author and this is my honest review.
I LOVED THIS SERIES! Who knew your heart can change with a completed story. Celia was set out to be the villain and after this series… you can’t help to cheer her on! Edward knows how to support and show her love that she obviously deserves after her own story! THANK YOU for giving us a peek into her mind! BUT I want more!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I don’t even know quite where to begin. The story of Edward and Celia has concluded, and wow have we been on a journey with these two characters. Celia and Edward have grown, and that’s easy to write but hard to explain how much they’ve grown and changed. I’ve altered my feelings about both of them so much, and in more than one dimension.
And that’s the true genius of Laurelin Paige’s writing. Its intense. The plots are intense, stuff happens. In this book a lot of things happen, one of which I note has not been concluded. Hmmm… I wonder whether there’s more coming. So we have a dynamic plot. Equally as engaging are the emotional developments that the characters themselves go through as we read through their POV. Each event, a shift, a reflection, a strong emotion, and we’re RIGHT THERE with them as they struggle with their own reactions to each other.
I didn’t want it to end, but all good things do. These books are set in the Fixed Universe and life would be a little easier if you started with the Fixed trilogy and I would also recommend Chandler, but even without that I imagine a reader get a lot out of it. But do yourself a real favor, read the others first, and know that this journey will change your mind about what came before as well as what happened in this series. Laurelin Paige is just that good.

I voluntarily read an ARC of this book in exchange for honest review.
This book has been the most awaited conclusion for Edward and Celia’s Story. I was completely immersed from start to finish. It’s an intense roller coaster ride. Celia’s redemption and evolution has been excellent. These two are perfect for each other. They challenge each other and the dynamics between them only gets better each time they face one another.
Laurelin proved all my assumption’s wrong. I thought, Edward will tune down a lot after Celia’s mega reveal in book 3 end. Edward won’t bend down a bit, so would Celia. Fell in love with Edward more and more. They have both kept their secrets and try to deal with everything by keeping their secrets. Edward and Celia both have to look deep inside themselves, come to terms with what exactly they want in life and what they need from each other.
How will they take their future ahead and life together ahead when last piece of secrets are shared.? With so many ghosts from their past being reappeared, will they be able to slay them together?
Secondary Characters- I haven’t met Alayna and Hudson before, I’m intrigued enough to know about their story and totally loved the way they became a part of Celia and Edward for their closure and bringing them together. Hope to see more of Hagen at some point. Genevieve was lovely.
Overall, finale to this series was absolutely delicious. With all their ups and downs, Celia and Edward showed us that even the most devilish of characters can be redeemed and deserve love.
Series
This series portraits a unique relationship between two imperfect flawed people. Celia and Edward have come a really long way since Rivalry, and it shows. I went from not knowing them both, to loving them with every fiber of my being; Celia’s story is simply tragic. And although her actions were borderline crazy and dark, you see more layers as to why she did and what she did. Her evolution from Rivalry to Raising was extraordinary. Totally loved their unique sessions with each other to know there deep honest feelings. Overall, it’s a fantastic & captivating series with emotions & right amount of suspense. This is a heartfelt story of redemption, forgiveness, evolution and love. Pick it up and enjoy as its been completely slayed.

I can’t lie, Celia has had me hating her throughout this series… but I may not hate her any longer.. I may have gained respect for the scheming, manipulative woman!
Laurelin Paige is a phenomenal writer, and this series has been a page turner from page one of book one! She made me care about a character that I did NOT want to care about and that is why she is a must read author. If you think you knew everything about Celia, and know what makes her do what she does.. keep reading!!
verall Rating – .5
I can’t believe that’s us reached the end of Celia and Edwards story. Four books of twists, turns, secrets, lies and a whole lot of steam. I’m really going to miss them.
The book starts a couple of months from the ending in book three and I couldn’t wait to see what would become of them after Celia announced her pregnancy at the end of Revenge and knowing how Edward would feel about it.
Going into this series, Celia wasn’t a heroine I was particularly looking forward to reading because of who she was in the ‘Fixed’ series. Throw in Edward, a strong stoic character who can outplay her games with his own and their match was perfect and by the end of the series, you can start to sympathise with her actions and loved who her character became.
And the book wouldn’t be complete without an appearance from Hudson. If you have read ‘Fixed Forever’ we get the other side of the story when Hudson and Alayna need Celia’s help.
At times I really didn’t like Edward and the way he treated Celia, but that was his character and as more time went by I loved his tender moments and the way he fought for her. He was exactly what she was needed.
I love this world. I love Paige’s writing and definitely recommend this series, a must read for any romance fan!

Edward and Celia’s conclusion! No! This can’t be the end. I have loved reading every last book in this series. It is such an emotional, angsty, raw, action-packed journey. It was worth the wait though.
This book gives us answers to long-awaited questions. Celia was so unexpected. I loved her! She had so many layers, and I loved discovering what made her the way she was. She was complex and difficult but so much more than she ever imagined she could be. I loved watching Edward peel back every last layer of Celia. She is a prime example of, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Edward was such a strong and sexy presence. He was the ultimate alpha male. He couldn’t be more loving, even if some of his actions didn’t always show it. He was also complex, and I loved discovering his secrets and seeing a different side of him. Together their passion ignites and burns brighter and hotter than ever before. It was great seeing the new dynamic and growth between them, while some things stayed the same which was nice too.
Thank you Laurelin for writing about Celia. There are so many layers to her and I am sure that she wasn’t the easiest character to write, but I loved her and admired her strength. I was so happy to see them finally get their HEA. It wasn’t an easy journey but it was a great ride. This book gripped me from the start and never let go! I had no idea what was coming next. The lies, revenge, retribution, redemption, heartbreak, suspense, steamy scenes, mixed with all of the feels make for a must-read! I highly recommend reading this book. I hope to see more glimpses of Edward and Celia in future books.

Ohhh man! I never knew I was going to say these words but I loved Celia and Edward! I loved seeing the world through her eyes and feeling the chemistry between Celia and her husband. I felt alllll the things and I couldn’t read it fast enough. I loved how Edward saw his wife and supported her. Even when things went a little sideways. Laurelin took us on a journey with this series and I’m sad it’s over.
I seriously can’t believe she did it. She made me CARE about Celia Werner! It takes a great writer to turn a known villainess into a vulnerable, and dare I say, likable person.
This whole series has been eye opening…. so many things that happened to Celia that we didn’t know. And she finally met a man who was more than her match – and HE LOVES HER! Flaws and all. They definitely compliment each other.
This was a great ending, I almost didn’t want it to stop. I can’t wait to see what Laurelin comes up with next.
I have been throughly slayed by Rising!! It is, well, EVERYTHING!!!
It is the final book in the Slay quartet and I didn’t want it to end. This book shows just how much love, and being loved, can change people. Edward and Celia. This two are people that you could hate. Especially Celia. I love them both. I went through so many emotions as I read this book…..laughter and tears. I truly felt their joy and their pain. Their HEA is perfect and just what I had hoped for them!
What a great ending to this great adventure. I seriously did think I’d enjoy Celia story as much as I have. Laurelin writes great story’s with amazing characters, I knew she would make me love her!
I now have another awesome couple I love from Laurelin. Edward was so mysterious from the start but I fell over heels in LOVE with him. Something about him is so appealing and how he changed and understood Celia was a winner. I loved them together and truly believed they were perfect. Each had their own battles but together they can slay anything! I hate this is the end but couldn’t be more happy how her story ended. Of her story at all!
Truly a great series! Another great win for Laurelin!
This book is amazing. I am glad I gave Celia a chance. She definitely blew me away in this series. My outlook on her has chance and it is for the good. We needed to see her side and not just get the side we saw in the Fixed Trilogy. In the beginning it was a love hate relationship towards Edwards. But now I love him even more. This series was wrapped up nicely. Highly recommend reading this series. Absolutely loved it. Another awesome read Laurelin Paige.
Brilliant! This highly anticipated conclusion surpassed all my expectations.
After the cliffhanger in book 3, I couldn’t wait to see what direction the story was going to take, given Edward’s position on the subject.
Wow!
Fast paced, intense and passionate, I was totally enthralled by this installment from beginning to end. Initially, I was concerned that the story was too fast paced but as the story unfolded it made sense.
Each book in the series unfolded a different layer to the anti heroine Celia from the Hudson series. Each book had me liking her even more and in this installment, she rose like a phoenix and I absolutely loved her. In fact, Celia and Edward dare I say I like more than Hudson and Alayna…whaat?
Yep.
Their love story had so much heart and soul.
Every secret, every unanswered question is revealed. Their story was so unique, complex and ultra passionate. Edward had an agenda and the final outcome was flawlessly executed.
I really enjoyed the juxtaposition of a common theme from the Fixed series come to a head and get resolved in this one.
4-4.5 stars. What a journey! Laurelin Paige managed to turn one of the most awful villainesses among all book villainesses into a heroine that I could fully support and advocate for. Celia Werner has come such a long way from the person she was in the Fixed series. Edward Fasbender completely broke her down into pieces and rebuilt her into someone who was so much stronger and more confident. And after doing so, he completely committed to standing by her side. That’s not to say they didn’t have their obstacles or disagreements. Edward is such a complex guy, which is to be expected given how complicated Celia is, too. He has such a thirst for justice and vengeance that the line begins to blur as to the true intent of his goal. I applauded him for wanting to right the wrongs of Celia’s past because Edward is like a dark knight, sweeping in to rescue anyone who crosses him or his loved ones with no second thought to consequences. That kind of focus is also what drives him to succeed in business, but he is careful to protect his family so that they aren’t tainted with his less savory motivations. But even as a team, Celia and Edward are at odds with each other at times and I admired Celia for standing her ground when necessary because contrary to what Edward thinks, he is not always right. Questions that came up during Fixed Forever are answered in this book. There’s definite closure in so many ways with this grand finale. While I loved Alayna and Hudson’s story in the Fixed series, I do find Celia and Edward’s relationship development to be a lot more fascinating because of the tumultuous and unpredictable nature that kept me riding on the edge of my seat with so much tension and angst. Bravo to Laurelin for writing Celia’s story and making it worthwhile with every turn of the page.
Laurelin Paige I love you for making me love Celia and I hate you for making me love Celia. Rising is the epic and perfect conclusion to Edward and Celia’s quartet.
Celia’s growth as a character is out of the world. Her history is heartbreaking and made me feel sorry for her and understand why she ended up doing the things she did. Do I agree with everything she has done? Not at all, but I understand her. Edward’s past is also rough. He had to deal with some tough things.
Laurelin Paige gave this book everything. Rising is my favorite book in the quartet. This book just had everything. Rising is the book in that overlaps with Chandler’s and the Fixed Series books. The book spans over a longer period of time. You do not have to have read the Fixed Series or Chandler to read, but if you have it makes it so much better. Paige had me needing more with each and every page of Rising. Celia’s final secret is driving them apart. She had to put her trust in Edward and hope that he can handle everything. The saying “the truth will set you free” is exactly what Celia had to do. Their pasts are coming back to haunt them.
Rising is everything I hoped for and more. Laurelin Paige delivers and epic, heart pounding conclusion to Edward and Celia’s story. Rising is an emotional ride that absolutely needed to happen. These two have so many things haunting them. The growth of these characters both as a couple and as individuals is phenomenal. Their relationship started out as a twisted marriage of convenience turned into this amazing love.
I beyond words loved Rising. Laurelin Paige took a character I loathed and turned her into one I loved. Edward was a surprise as well. I didn’t like him much either when this quartet started but now I just love him. 5 slaying stars for Rising and the entire Slay Quartet.
Oh Wow this series has been so good. What a finish this is.
I was one of those readers who really couldn’t get my head around wanting to read a book about Celia. She really was the ultimate bitch. But I’m so happy to eat my words.
With each book you have captivated us, left us hanging on that cliff, thrown a curve ball at us, opened our eyes to some pretty dark shit. Had us comparing Hudson to Edward, I was team Hudson by the way, now I have no friggin clue, I can’t make that kind of decision, haha!!
This final book was everything. It brought so much together from Chandler to Fixed Forever, this was like the final jigsaw puzzle piece we didn’t know was missing. This was a cathartic read and now all is at peace. Until the next one.
Thank you so much.
