THERE WERE THREE THINGS I WAS CERTAIN ABOUT.First, I would never kill another person. But when a family friend murdered my father, I destroyed her with a power I didn’t even know I possessed.Second, I would never strike another bargain. But faeries could bring the dead back, so when Cruz offered to revive my father, I accepted. Third, I would never marry an enemy, but every bargain comes at a … every bargain comes at a price. The price of mine: I had to marry Cruz and move to the faerie isle.
For the first time in my life, I wondered if death wouldn’t be a kinder end.

Rising Silver Mist, the third and final instalment of Cat’s story and before I even started it I knew this book was going to be an amazing ride. It brings us more of a look into the dangerous Fae world of Neverah. In true Olivia fashion you can never truly understand who you can trust, who’s on your side and who’s your enemy. And when friends turn into enemies you begin to question why you liked them in the first place. She keeps you guessing from the second you start reading until the very last word.
Just when you think we know everything there is to know about Cat, her powers and her ancestors BAM Olivia decides to throw more unexpected revelations in that leave your jaw stuck to the floor! Cat finally coupled off with someone and its the sinfully sexy and arrogant Fae Prince of Neverah, Ace Wood. the anticipation for this book was fierce as i desperately needed to read more about Ace and Cat as a couple. Unfortunately, Cat’s fierce independence and stubbornness really gets in the way of their relationship from the beginning.
Cruz Vega obviously did not appreciate being side-lined for his best friend and brother in the last book because he turns with a vengeance, bring more and more questions. Cruz’s character changes a lot and the boy you once loved becomes some you hate with every fibre of your being. I felt such rage when he gets between Ace and Cat despite in the first book and half the second wishing that Cat and he would get together. After saving Cat’s father, Cruz demands her hand in marriage and my heart ached as Cat was forced into this and ripped away from the Fae she wanted most. The Fae Prince who got under her skin and has lodged himself firmly so no matter what he can’t be moved or extricated ever!
This book got me so engrossed I literally couldn’t put it down! It made sleeping incredibly hard because thoughts and questions and dire need to know all the answers to my questions kept me awake for hours. And you can forget about concentrating whilst I was at work because that wasn’t happening. I began reading these books just before the first Covid Lockdown in the UK and it gave me the escape I needed to forget about the problems in my life for a time. I’m truly sad to say goodbye to these wonderful characters but I know that they will still feature in the next book even if they are no longer the main characters.
I loved this book so much! It’s like a soap opera with faeries and love both so I enjoyed this third book of The Last Clan series very much.
One of the things I liked most is that the main character of this story have many flaws. At the beginning I was quite annoyed because the heroine was pretty difficult to like. But she ends up softing a bit and she admits she’s a difficult person. She’s far from perfect but has several people around her that shake her and make her realize that sometimes changing point of view and being open minded are the best ways to deal with things in life.
The plot is thrilling with many twists and surprises so I don’t get bored at all. Great world-building of the Fae world and awesome bonds between all the characters. Of course my favorite characters are the male ones, Ace, Kajika, Cruz,… they are all fascinating. Everyone in their own particular way.
With this book ends the trilogy of the journey of the main characters but like in all the books by this author, the supporting characters are as amazing as the main one so their story need to continue…
This series just keeps getting better and better!! I absolutely loved the world building in this installment. The faerie world for me, was descriptive and it was easy to imagine and daydream about. The narrator did a great job portraying the characters. I enjoyed the twists and turns! Great audiobook to have on a long journey!! Love lengthy audiobooks!
I think I enjoyed this story the most out of the series. There was a lot more action and passion. I liked the pace of this story and how it answered most of my questions. The Herione finally chose the right man, lol. I still feel like the story line in incomplete so I’m excited to read the final book. That might be because I’m not ready to leave this world yet though. Well done story.
Fantastic! Before popping on the review I had to check if we are getting more as it felt like a HEA but with waaaaay more we need to know. Thankfully I can see 2 more books In the series and the next is from Lily’s point of view so I can’t wait to see where that goes as quite a bit happens to Lily in this book.
As for Cat she got her man and a hell of a lot more but I’m not giving the game away on that one! You need to read the other books in the series first and you will see she had a few options so you best read this now to find out her choices. If you have read the previous 2 books you will know it wasn’t just her love life she had to make decisions on but which side of her heritage. What does she choose?
This journey was even more fun as set in Neverra so like the previous 2 instalments we find out even more folklore. This series is constantly progressing with the world building and giving you more and more, it’s a delight.
Brilliant writing and the story telling was thought provoking and unique.
I listened to the Audio version and was glad it was the same narrator as she does an amazing job with Cat and all the other characters.
Brilliant fantasy read and I couldn’t recommend this series more.
Top Marks 5/5
This series is amazing and has moved right into my favorites. Olivia Wildenstein is an amazing author. I grabbed book one from Amazon because of the cover, and devoured the other books with the same vigor as I did that one.
Her characters are put of this world. The romance is tense and steamy, fun and vibrant, and her world is, well, for lack of a better phrase, out od this world.
I cannot wait to read more from this author, and couldn’t be happier that I picked up the first book when I did.
An Emotive, Beautifully Written and Striking 5 Star Romance!!,
I’ve loved this entire series but this book was definitely my favourite!! No lie, I was misty eyed at 6% This Author really knows how to pull my emotions out of me. No sobbing from me this time but I had a sore throat from holding emotions in quite a few times. Lol
I liked that the Author used many of today’s hate, race & class issues in her Faerie World. Their Caste’s & then their Class system had left little room for anyone of ‘low rank’ to raise themselves and their family’s up, personally or financially! It was awful & sickening but then humbling to see some people’s reactions to it!
The descriptions of ‘Neverra’ as a world are absolutely gorgeous. Luscious, full of colour & life! The majority of its people are kind, helpful & peaceful. Unfortunately some of the ‘Caligosupra’ or Elites, are utter pigs!! They show no respect or care for the people struggling below them, it just amuses them! The Marris or King, Ace & Lily’s Dad, is one of the worst culprits!! Cruz’s mother is the Draca, A Dragon shifter that is supposed to protect everyone. She’s who killed Kajika’s wife Ishtu, She’s extremely violent & vindictive, She has no remorse or love it seems!! Thankfully not everyone is like them and hope begins as a tiny whisper in the mist
Catori, Ace, Lily, Cruz & Kajika all have big parts to play in this storyline, even if they aren’t all seen for chunks of time!! The spiralling tangle of these couples does not get any easier. Especially when a female Faerie brands a Hunter, Kajika, to save his life!! He just loves that, as you can imagine!! He’s been training Cat to fight for self protection. He & Ace constantly argue over her safety around the other – Men!!
We find ourselves on Neverra for an official Engagement & a Wedding!!We get to view it all through the wonder, awe & at times horror, of Catori’s point of view.
There are a lot of heart stopping events throughout this book. They come from all sides on Earth & in Neverra! A mind reading Dragon, Expulsion from Naverra for a Royal – death when their fire runs out , Catori becoming an Orphan, Finding out the full truth of her heritage! Through all of these awful circumstances and a lot more, Cat must keep standing & fighting. She no longer knows who she can trust in this foreign World and her heart can’t cope with another bruise let alone one more heartbreak!!
A 5 Star Read.
This series sucks you into its imagined Native American Tribe’s tale and keeps you swirling & spiralling along with each page turned when you suddenly realise that’s not what the story is about at all – You’re in the middle of a Race War on a grand scale! Catori Price is their descendant but what exactly does that mean for her?? I really enjoyed finding out. Oh and there’s sexy Fae

This is an exceptional book, and an even more exceptional series. It had so many things going for it! Lovers of many different genres alike will fall in love with this series!
