Rise
4.5 stars for Rise by Heather MacKinnon. This is book three in the Southern Werewolves series. This is also the final book for Elizabeth and Abraham’s story. I am in love with these two and how their story came together. I was captivated from the first page of the book all the way till the end. I found Elizabeth’s character intriguing. She is strong and feisty but yet she still has many doubts about herself and also about her relationship with Abraham. Abraham is what everyone should want in a mate, strong, alpha, romantic, caring and much much more. I loved how everything came together in the end for Abey, Ellie and the pack. This was a great series by one of my new favorite authors. I am looking forward to reading more of Heather MacKinnon’s books. If you love werewolf books filled with romance and suspense then this is a series you will love.
Rise (Southern Werewolves Book 3) by Heather MacKinnon is the third book I have read by this author and won’t be the last. I was pulled right in from the first page just like in the previous books and was totally entertained until I hit the end. I had to keep turning the pages forget about dinner I needed to know how everyone was doing. The characters are well developed and realistic. This book like the previous two can be read as standalones but I recommend reading them all you will enjoy the story so much more. This book has it all sappy love parts, drama and action. This is the perfect conclusion to Abraham and Elizabeth, I just hope there is more coming. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of her books.
A nice ending to the series. Glad El and Abraham got their HEA.
The conclusion to Elizabeth & Abraham’s story did not disappoint! Ellie showed great transformation into the future role of alpha. Though she was unsure & often doubted her abilities to be the best mate & leader she wanted to be, she never gave up or ran away like she would have done in the past. She grew into the role she was meant to have.
Abraham was his charming alpha self, more so now that the threat to Ellie has not gone away. He has to find a balance of keeping her safe by not chaining her to their room and allowing her the freedom she needs.
Even though their story is complete, it’s far from over. Looking forward to read the rest of the sibling’s books, starting with Callie!
The third book and the concluding story of Abe and Ellie.
A brilliant read from start to finish, with sexy times and twist and turns that keep you gripped right to the last page.
Another 5* read and I can’t wait for more of this series from Heather
Wow! What a great captivating, loving book. Another installment and I’m still pulled into this series. Loved it beyond words. We are thrown back into the story of Elizabeth and Abraham. Elizabeth is trying beyond to find a way to make everyone happy by setting a date and shes just falling short with find that “feeling” of forever with Abraham. She loves him forever and knows he’s her one but there is that hold on her. Along the way shes looking for her purpose of forever in her life as well. His family is so awesome, they just make you want to reach out and grab them for yourself. Abraham tries to makes what he know right but guys are guys right? They try to keep her safe as an unknown force tries to take away their happiness once again. I cant even explain how much i loved this book! I guess you could read this one without reading one and two but why when you can get the full story and love it truly. What a awesome , great read. I love Heather’s books. Enjoy!
“Rise” is book #3 in the Southern Werewolves Series and sadly the last book. Abraham, a born werewolf and Elizabeth, a human bitten and changed into a werewolf, are fated mates. Some of the members of Abrahams pack are not welcoming to Elizabeth and don’t view her as an alpha because she was human before. The stress of Elizabeth putting off the mating ceremony and others sabotaging their relationship is taking a toll. Abraham is trying hard to protect Elizabeth even though she is fighting against him to stand on her own. Loved the way Heather MacKinnon wrote the conclusion of this three part book series. Relationships are a give and take to make them work with love to strengthen and hold them together.

This was a great ending to the series and story of Abe & Elizabeth. I fell in love with this series in book 1 and I feel happy letting these characters enjoy their happy ever after now. I would however love a side series involving the sisters, that would be gold!
