I thoroughly enjoyed this collection. Each book in this collection is reviewed separately.
Ranger – I really enjoyed this book. I liked the connection between Ranger and Hope. I loved that Ranger never tried to hold Hope back from carrying on the fight training that her brother Kraven had given her and even suggested that she could spar with Evie since Evie is still really interested in fighting. Man, after everything Hope was put through by her sadistic old alpha she was still completely bada*se. Yes, her panther is terrified but her human side isn’t. Hope even started training Calla to fight as well, since everything Calla was put through by the wolves who abd*cted her so it was cool to see her take back some of her power and I loved that Talon agreed to allow all the females to learn to protect themselves and the Pride, and as the trouble started heading their way, Talon allowed them to help patrol their land. I’m looking forward to reading Evie and Kye’s story and to also see what’s happening next with the Pride.
Kye – Wow, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved getting more of Kye and Evie as I’ve been invested in them from the first book. I really liked the connection between them and loved that even though Kye half the time didn’t agree with Evie putting herself in danger, they’d talk about it and then he’d offer to train her so she’s ready for anything that comes at her. Man, Evie definitely came into her own in this book, she’s a complete and utter bada*se especially with spearheading the rescue of all the shifters that were being held against their will with the Community. It was so cute that Kye was courting Evie as per the old ways and agreed that even if they don’t end up being mates, Evie is who he chooses for life as he loves her, and that was after she’d finally got the courage to tell him what happened while she was abd*cted by the wolves and the damage that it could’ve possible caused her and Kye to never being able to conceive. It was heartbreaking what Lana went through being held prisoner by the Community and I’m really interested to see her get her happily ever after as she really deserves it. Also hopefully Mal pulls his head out of his a*se and doesn’t give his sister Calla grief for wanting to train with the Guardians so she can learn to protect herself and the Pride, as otherwise he’ll eventually end up forcing her hand and he’ll lose her.
The Healer – This was a good short read. I really loved the mixed mating of Harold and Luna and loved their connection. yes, their relationship progressed a lot quicker than the previous couples because of everything Luna had been through after she’d lost her pack, then vi*lated while being held captive with the Community and finally seeing her brother being k*lled by the Worlocks who were working with the Community so she’s literally the last of her kind left so when they both worked out that they could be mates, they decided to get rid of all the usual bullsh*t and claim each other. I’m really looking forward to reading Dane, Cole and Olivia’s story next as man it’s going to be interesting to see Dane fall hard for not one but two people.
Dane – I really enjoyed this book. I really loved the connection between Dane, Cole and Olivia. They all felt something for each other and become very close friends while being the security at the Deuce. We got to know more about what happened to Dane when he opened up to both his mates and we found out that the Cartel is after Cole and his old team mates as they busted the Cartel on one of their missions while in the Military and Cole’s brother Landon gets abd*ctued so Dane and the Pride gets behind Cole and help find his brother before it’s too late and to offer their protection. I loved that after Olivia is nearly k*lled when the Cartal ran the car that Hope, Evie and herself off the road so Dane had to change her in order to save her and as soon as they touch he knows that the reason for their instant connection is that she’s his mate. Dane has to be sedated as his panther couldn’t handle Olivia being in pain and only trusts Cole to look after Olivia and keep her safe, which is very interesting as Dane knows that Cole has feelings for Olivia as well but still trust him with his heart. Garrett, the Sheriff keeps on popping up when you least expect it, and I’m hoping that he’ll eventually get his happily ever after, since he’s been protecting Liberty and the Pride as a whole as per the gods wishes. I’m really looking forward seeing what’s next for the Pride and what enemy they have to face.
I’d definitely recommend this collection, each book in the series and author to everyone.
