Sequel to Omega Arrival New relationships form and existing ones continue to evolve for the wolves of Angel Hills. Vincent struggles with his beta mate Craig’s rejection, while alpha mate Kale considers a dramatic resolution to the matter. Gabriel’s second pregnancy is even more difficult than the first, and an outsider begins to consider a connection to another omega’s recent troubles. … omega’s recent troubles. Meanwhile, his and Ian’s secret eats away at the ill omega.
Christopher turns eighteen and, losing hope Xavier might never think of Christopher as anything but a little brother, he accepts another werewolf’s attention. X’s eventual interest proves the beginning of the young beta’s problems rather than the end.
Accustomed to gaining enemies when pursuing what he wants, Canaan learns something new about himself from #65533;ber-alpha, Duncan, who, long-convinced his extreme needs will never be met in Angel Hills, becomes unwillingly caught up with the bratty beta.
Will the threats to the werewolves’ way of life from both within and outside the compound bring the pack closer together or pull them further apart?

This is not a standalone, as it continues the stories of characters already introduced in Omega Arrival, with the addition of some new faces.
The blurb pretty much says it all and it was delightful to read through, because the storyline is an incredible mix bag of multiple points of view, a whole range of emotions, sexiness and, thanks to the pups, cuteness. I’ll even admit that my favorite part was the situation between Canaan and Duncan, and the kinky spiciness of their encounters. And now I’m buzzing with excitement, waiting for the next book in the series. Can’t wait!
The continuing journey of the Angel Hill’s pack. The pack is growing with new pups and new relationships. I really love that the author makes it so easy to follow each pack member. I highly recommend!!
This is the second book in the Angel Hills series, and the story is written much like the first. A lot of story lines going on at once, with more focus placed on a few.
The book is entertaining enough that it isn’t a struggle to read, but as with the first in this series, the development of the relationships are spread too thin. The common thread between the two books is the focus on the triad of the pack alpha and his beta and omega mates. I hate to say this, but I was happy the conflict in the book centered mainly around them. It felt like karma.
I was also glad to see Vincent’s relationship change and grow. There was a decent amount of focus on their triad as well. However, the author then introduced three more couples, which is what stretched the story too much IMO.
I think I could have enjoyed where the author was going with the new pairings, especially Duncan and Canaan, but again, there was no depth and very little development. I’m sure at least two of the three will be followed up in the next book; i just don’t enjoy the overabundance of story lines.
I did enjoy this book more than Omega Arrival, but I think a lot of the reason behind that is because I was happy that what really bothered me about book one came back to bite them. Also, readers should remember that while this pack is enlightened in some ways, it is mostly a “traditional” pack in many ways.
* I received a free copy of this book and I am leaving my honest opinion. *
I loved Ripples of Threat, getting to know more of the couples and still getting more of Justin & Milo’s and Grey, Ian and Gabriel’s stories. I thought it was very interesting, with a little bit of extra angst and adventure. Plus there was more to learn about other packs and a little about human/werewolf interaction. Again, it was fast-paced, great mpreg, sweet love stories. Totally recommend it.
The story continues with Milo & Justin and Grey, Justin and Gabriel. Good side characters and few more added. I liked the new emerging romance between Christopher and Xavier. The story line with Gabe’s health problems was kind of hard to read at times. He had self-esteem issues on top of low confidence, but he emerged better in the end. But overall a good story
I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received from Gay Romance Reviews. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
Ripples of Threat is the second book in Angel Hill series and follows the relationship of several members within the pack.
This book continues with a pregnant Gabriel and the effects that a secret with his beta mate that they are keeping from their alpha mate. This storyline began in Omega Arrival and gets resolved in this book.
Ripple of Threats also continues with Vincent’s relationship with his beta mate, Craig and alpha mate, Kale. Craig’s unwillingness to give Gabriel the mating bite causes a tension within their small family and forces Kale to take action.
Several other couples are introduced in this book and we follow them, as they all fight hard to settle into their relationships.
All in all, an enjoyable book, and I can’t wait read the conclusion to this series.
Ripples of Threat by Rebecca James is the second book in the Angel Hills series. This book is a mix of steam, supense, mild kink and pack dynamics. The story is interesting, the characters interesting and the whole series was great. These shfters are a little more animal-like with markings than others i’m use to but still interesting. And mpregs are a favorite genre of mine so im having fun and enjoying this series. Can’t wait to read the book in series next.
