Ripped is a friends to lovers story that will sweep you off your feet faster than you can down the shot of JD you’ll need to read this whirlwind romance. Immediately you are drawn in by the likeable and entertaining characters that are inserted into funny albeit relatable circumstances. Kyle is the wears-his-heart-on-his-sleeve, emotionally tragic best friend and Hunter is the life of the party––the easy-going no-strings attached other part to the dynamic trio that is Everhide. Then there is Gemma, the beautifully bold, lively, creative, and emotionally damaged third party to the crew. Only, one of her bandmates is head over heels for her, but it’s not the one she likes back…
This book will draw you in, make you fall in love, and then leave you wanting more and more. I love a book that makes it impossible to put down. Tania Joyce writes with an ease that feels both natural and seducing. Between world tours, love triangles, and hot and heavy encounters, you will not want to put this down
This book started out in my head going one way as I was reading, but then entirely tilt the story on its axis to go where I didn’t think it would. My heart was ripped out and carefully pieced back together by the end, and I may have cried a couple of times. I took my time reading this story, and I’m glad I did, because the emotions invoked from this story were ending. Well thought out story line.
I received a free copy of this book through Booksprout, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ripped is a fun and entertaining read all about the rock star life. Rock stars who are best friends, love triangle scenarios occurring in a lifestyle of fame and paparazzi as well as dramatic angst. This was my first read by this author, and it’s also the first book in a series by this author.
The main themes in this book are love and loyalty. Gemma, Kyle, and Hunter have been friends for years; from meeting in school and growing up together and turning their incredible musical talent into a international world class rock band. Their incredible bond keeps their band together despite all the struggles of fame and fortune. I enjoyed following the escapades of the band and I found it very touching to read about the commitment and loyalty the main characters had for one another.
I enjoyed the slow burn start of this book and the unknowing of how certain relationships will work. While one relationship was forced and stilted, and not at all convincing. Their lack of passion and chemistry led to it’s natural conclusion. But the next relationship was organic and pure, and was built on many layers of knowledge about each other and full of love and trust. It worked so much better for the characters and gave hope for love and a steamy romance.
However, things get very complicated when Gemma and Kyle act upon their feelings without thinking first. Friendships and loyalties get tested and on occasion it gets pretty tense. Even when their careers get threatened, they must face what it is that they truly want. All three characters are all in their early twenties and clearly have a lot to learn about life, love and relationships. But after the heartbreak, drama and frustration, everything works out in a very satisfying climax. I especially adored the ending and was a gorgeous surprise!
I enjoyed this book and the plot. It was a fast paced read with a great amount struggles and joys. It really was a beautifully written story that is ultimately about love, determination, friendship and more importantly loyalty.
Even knowing that this is a stand-alone I really cannot wait to read more in this series and hope to see more from these characters and also more from this author.
I enjoyed this book by Tania Joyce about her characters’ search for acceptance, happiness, and of course love, but, OMG does she ever put them through an emotional roller coaster of trials and tribulations during their search. However, I think one of the things I liked reading, even more than the hot sexual escapades, were the song lyrics that so expressed the true emotional and heartfelt feelings behind the characters, even though they might lie to themselves and others face-to-face. This is a somewhat late voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
This is the first book of more to come,,,, also I believe it’s the first time I’ve read this author ,,,,
This book is about the 3 people that make up the band “Everhide”,,,, Gemma is the lead singer and sometimes the buffer, as to say, between the boys, Hunter and Kyle,,, and as in all triangles, it seems, love comes a knocking,,,,, Kyle thinks he loves Gemna,,,,, but, of course, Gemma, well, Gemma thinks she loves Hunter, of course,,,, and Hunter,,, well, he pretty much wants anything from any woman with a pulse, so to say,,,,you really must get this book about good friends that have their feelings into something else,,,, it was a good read,,,
So, go to your favorite reading platform and check this book out and see if you wouldn’t want to read it also,,,, there is actually more going on then you’d think,,,, some adventure, twists, turns, secrets, steam,,,, gotta have some of that steam going on,,,,, I really would totally recommend this book to anyone,,,, give it a shot,,, whatcha got to lose,,, ???
I got this ARC voluntarily to do an honest review
3.5 Stars!
Ripped by Tania Joyce is a rockstar romance with twists and turns that will keep you engaged. The three main characters are well-defined, and their story is both edgy and genuine. Gemma, Kyle and Hunter are best friends and bandmates. They are Everhide, a rock band with heart. Gemma believes she is in love with Hunter, while Kyle is definitely in love with Gemma. Hunter is a player, yet he finds love with a woman who only wants him for sex. This is the first book from the author’s Price of Loyalty series and it can be read as a standalone.
Everhide is all about the music and the trio works very hard to ensure that their creative talents are expressed. This novel is about their personal and professional lives, and how the years of trust and friendship can stand the test of time.
Gemma, Kyle and Hunter are interesting characters and I enjoyed getting to know them intimately. I felt their friendship and loyalty to each other deep within my soul. Gemma and Kyle are a hot couple and their sexy times are quite steamy. With the exception of Gemma and Hunter’s virtually non-existent romance being a substantial part of the plot, this is a solid read.

Ripped is a fun read about rock stars. Rock stars who have a best friend, love triangle situation happening on top of a heap of fame and papparazzi. This was the first time I read this author, and the first book in a series by this author.
Loyalty and love are the main themes in this book. Gemma, Kyle, and Hunter have been friends for years; turning their musical talent into a world class rock band. And they keep their band together despite all the struggles of fame and fortune. But could love between bandmates ruin it all? I enjoyed following the escapades of the band…some of them were fantastic escapes from my reality.
Gemma is a fun and great girl, who seems to have it all, but wants more. I liked how she tackled the struggles she faced, as well as life with two guys. Boys are a gross and interesting creature that take special woman to take care of them. 🙂 Kyle was a fantastic friend, who supports Gemma quietly from the sidelines but wants more. Hunter is the wild, bigger than life character of the band. After spending so much time together, it seems only natural that love would bloom between the bandmates.
I liked the slow burn start of this book and unknown of how the relationships will work. While one relationship was forced and stilted, it was for a reason, and the lack of passion led it to the natural conclusion. But the next relationship was organic and built on many layers of knowledge and full of love and trust. It worked much better for the characters and gives hope for love and steamy romance.

I enjoyed this book and the plot. It was a fairly fast read, with a great amount struggles and joys. Though I’m not a rock star, I could follow their path and choices. I thought there were sections that read slow or a little rough; I felt there was perhaps too much time devoted to the relationship between Hunter and Gemma, but overall very well done.
I loved how the whole band worked together. Their loyalty is amazing and to be envied. Having good friends makes life so much more fun! It was angsty in all the right ways and kept me very entertained. I am intrigued enough to want to read the following books in the series. Everyone needs a happily ever after.

Ripped is a fantastic start to this new series by Tania Joyce. It was a quick and easy read, which I devoured in one sitting. I loved the story-line and the characters. They had a very real quality to them and were easy to connect with. I loved the angst, the romance, the drama and all the secrets and lies. It made me laugh. It frustrated me at times. It made me swoon and fall in love. This book hit all the marks for me for a good rock star romance.
Best friends Gemma, Hunter and Kyle make up the famous rock band, Everhide. With the papparazzi always hot on their trail, they tend to steer clear of relationships. Things start to change though when Gemma begins having erotic dreams about one of her band mates. This of course sparks her curiosity, making her wonder if this is what it would be like in real life. If she decides to pursue this, how will their futures be affected? True love, friendship and careers could possibly be at stake. How far is Gemma willing to go?
I loved everything about this book from start to finish and can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.

Ripped is a great start to a new Everhide Rockstar series. My first book by Tania Joyce and I cannot wait to read more. I could not put this book down! Three friends who are band mates and a love has to figure out who is truly in love with who. Gemma loves Hunter. Kyle loves Gemma and Hunter Loves himself is how it is said in the description of the book but what these all come to find is who is truly meant to be with who. This rockstar love story has such real life problems and solutions that keep you wanting more. The ups and downs twist and turns of life and love are throughout the entire book. This was a wonderful read!
Ripped is definitely a great start to this new series! I am a sucker when it comes to rockstar books…I loved the storyline and the characters. The story was well written and flowed perfectly. Then there was that cover! Just Wow! The blurb really drew me in but when I saw that cover.
Gemma, poor Gemma; I love her personality, she is outgoing and outspoken. Kyle is the dream come true. Hunter is the playboy. Ripped is about three best friends (bandmates) who have mixed feelings. Gemma loves Hunter, Kyle loves Gemma and Hunter loves his career and sex. They are on a huge roller coaster, with so many mixed feelings between the three of them. Gemma just knew that she loved one best friend but when the sparks start flying with the other one she is confused and Is ready for that love.
Ripped is a quick read and full of angst, drama, romance and hardship. This is my first read by Tania Joyce and will not be my last. I am looking forward to book two in the series to see what Tania has in store.
What an amazing start to a series! Gemma keeps dreaming about Hunter, Kyle wants Gemma, and Hunter thinks he wants Gemma, but mainly Hunter wants attention. They’re best friends and a band that is growing in popularity. I loved the way that Tania wrote this with just the right amount of suspense to keep you hanging on, you don’t want to put it down. Great Story! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book in the Everhide Rockstar Romance Series and starts the series off on a high note. This is the story of three best friends Gemma, Kyle and Hunter who all play in a world famous rock band together. An emotional roller coaster as the three friends have mixed feelings for each other. Gemma has a crush on Kyle, but Hunter loves Gemma. Can you see where things might get a little tense at times. Drama and twisted signals make for some up and down times. Three people who treasure their friendship almost more than love itself. Strong characters and an entertaining read. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
“With true grit, he held his tongue. He wanted to say, “Gem, pick me instead.” “No, you two can’t be together.” “Gem, love me, not him.” But he swallowed the words and told them what they wanted to hear. “You two will make…an awesome couple. Totally sick.”
I love a good story about muso’s and this one didn’t disappoint. Recommended by a friend some time ago, it’s been sitting on my TBR for way too long. These characters have great personalities, the banter flies between them, they are flirtatious and a lot of fun. They fit comfortably together like the three amigos, friends, band mates and then comes the love triangle. Angst is to be expected as the green monster rears his ugly head, added pressure from the paparazzi, a nosy mother and a manager who seems to have her own agenda. Will their bond be enough to mend the growing rift between them or will they bow to the pressure and never be the same again? I’m needing to read The next book in this series now.
An incredible read – long but worth it! It is beautifully written with a well-developed plot that will grip you from beginning to end. It is relatable, engaging, consistent, and moves at a brisk pace. The twists and turns, ups and downs, witty banter, music, and humour will keep you on the edge of your seat. Loveable characters; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts. The side characters – some you will love and some you will definitely hate – also add even more quality and substance to the story. Definitely recommended. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Great rock-star romance!
