RIOT HOUSE is a 137,000-word standalone book in the Crooked Sinners Series and does not end on a cliffhanger. Future books in the series will feature other characters. This book contains dark content that may be considered a trigger for some readers, and as such is recommended for readers 17+
They might be richer than gods, but they’re morally bankrupt.
As far as the boys who run America’s most … run America’s most exclusive international academy are concerned, I’m an unwelcome interloper, an inconvenience, and they’re determined to make my life a living hell.
When Wren Jacobi sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest inductee, all he sees is an easy mark. A reserved little girl with a target painted on her back. He knows nothing of my troubled past, though. Nothing of my mother’s suspicious death, or the horrific treatment I’ve had to endure at the hands of my psychotic father. And he has no idea of the lengths that I, unassuming little Elodie Stillwater, will go to in order to break the savage beast who dreams of breaking me first.
There’s a wolf stalking the forests that surround my new school.
Little does he know…
There are far scarier predators lurking out there in the dark.

This was the first book I’ve read from Callie because I’ve always been wary of trying out new authors in the dark romance world and having a book fall flat. But that did not happen with this one! I was completely entranced by the world she created and was blind to what was going to happen next in the book as I read. That hardly ever happens to me and it was completely thrilling to not be able to predict the ending. Riot House will take you on a ride and leave you wanting more!
The Riot House boys are downright dirty! Each one is so different from the next, but they’ve come together to rule Wolf Hall. Until Elodie shows up and rocks Wren’s world. I have read about a ton of guys being brought to their knees by their girls but Wren was my favorite of all time to watch fall. He is such a broody bully with no boundaries, but you won’t be able to stop yourself from falling for him over his crazy and nonconventional antics. But don’t let that fool you. He and Elodie both have a past. One worse than the other and it will have you questioning the strength of these characters. But the past is only the beginning. There are so many secrets that will be uncovered in this book and just when you think you know everything…another bomb will drop leaving you gasping.
I’m pumped up and begging for more books to come from this world! The supporting characters in this book will also have you on edge and leave you wondering just how their story ends up. And hopefully, we will get to read each one! These Riot House boys need to be brought to their knees and I can’t help but hope we get to see it happen again and again! This book is a must-read dark romance in my opinion and it is one of my top reads of 2020!
As I started Riot House there was an immediate air of mystery surrounding Wolf Hall Academy. I was keen to unravel all the undisclosed truths lurking within the walls of the prestigious school and its unruly residents.
The thing I loved most about this book was how suspenseful and multi layered it was, I didn’t expect it so It was a pleasant surprise. I was really intrigued throughout and I enjoyed the slow build up, the way its secrets weren’t in a rush to be revealed.
I was fascinated with Wren as soon as he made an appearance. He’s one of those characters that exhibits dark, malicious tendencies and devious intentions. Yet he still manages to make being unapproachable work to his advantage…….it’s a skill.
Elodie was no push over and I loved that about her. After everything she endured in her past it made her stronger and more than ready to take on the Beast of Wolf Hall.
I loved Elodie and Wren their story was exhilarating, passionate, heart stopping, deep and unpredictable.
I’m very excited to see if Callie has plans for the other boys of Riot House….especially Pax.
Wow …just……WOW
after reading the first part in the Bully me anthology I couldnt wait for this and I knew it was going to be something amazing but oh jeezzz I wasnt expecting that!!!!!!!
This is a story about privileged boys and their toys ,the Riot House boys, the boys who like to leave “caresses the bruise? Kisses that bleed”…..or so you think .
Wren the dark brooding bad boy sets his sights on the new girl elodie but what starts off with an obsession to break her.. soon becomes more
” you are going to be mine . Elodie Stillwater,of all my sins and misdeeds , making you fall in love with me will be the very worst of them all”
An intensely gripping read full of lies, deceit betrayal and obsession. A absolutely fantastic read ,brilliantly written with characters you will adore, I was hooked from the very beginning and I never wanted it to end.
I cannot recommend this book enough…just read it you will not be disappointed, i cant wait for more from the riot house boys.
I. Loved. This. Book! Callie knocks another one out of the park for me. I was on the edge of my chair reading this one. So many twists. So many ups and downs. A hero you love to hate and a heroine that you can’t help but respect and admire. This book had all the great things! Definitely a must read. One of the best books I’ve read this year!
Nothing says your an inconvenience like being sent to live at a boarding school miles away from home. Elodie knows her father’s work keeps him busy, but this latest plan of his seems a little extreme, she was perfectly content at her old school in Tel Aviv, but this new one is a whole new story. Some of the students are welcoming, but there is one in particular that is not, Wren Jacobi. The guy is the devil, and she knows he sees her as nothing but a target, someone he can make miserable and drive away.
But little does he know Elodie has endured far more than a little bullying, she has been suffering worse at the hands of her father for years. She knows what it is like to be controlled, belittled, and tore down, and frankly she has had enough of it, and doesn’t plan on letting Wren get the upper hand. She is more than ready for anything he throws at her… well except, maybe, the feelings that stir whenever he is near!
Riot House is a dark and edgy story that will push you past your breaking point at times, and tug on your heartstrings the next. These two wounded souls may come from affluent families, but their lives are anything but charmed, they both have deep scars and a lot of hatred bottled up in them. Elodie has been broken down by her controlling father, the loss of her mother has also taken it’s toll, and she has a hard time trusting anyone that comes along. Upon meeting Wren she knows he is going to be a difficult person to get along with, his mean streak is a mile long and he has no qualms about inflicting pain on others. Watching her deal with him was rough at times, he was a jerk, but she saw something in him that I struggled to see, something that kept her coming back. It took me a while to warm up to him, but eventually I did. I love angsty dark romances and this one certainly lived up to that, it was intense and heartbreaking the whole way through, but it had a unexpected softness to it too. If you are a fan of dark bully romances then I have no doubt you will love this one, it’s destined to leave you satisfied! Highly recommend!
