Ever since junior high and an ill-fated game of seven minutes in heaven, Rikki Eisendrath and Sam Payne have hated each others’ guts. But when they end up at the same college—and the same dorm—they figure it’s time to declare a truce.
They even become friends . . . sort of. But when Sam asks Rikki to model for his sculpting project, they start spending more time together—and her feelings for … feelings for him get more complicated.
She tries to focus on the guy she’s been crushing on instead. But Sam’s the one she can’t stop thinking about, even though their arguments are starting to heat up as much as the chemistry between them.
With antagonism and attraction this intense, there’s bound to be an explosion. But when the dust settles, will Sam and Rikki be enemies, friends . . . or something more?

Erm I have mixed feelings of it, although this book was meant to be like New adult. You know that stage of getting into college and settling down you expect to see a sort of change. But few some of this book I thought that it was very childish and that it felt like for the first half of the book they were still in school. Maybe it would have been different if we didn’t have the first chapter of the seven minutes in heaven and the graduation maybe I would have thought different but to me it felt like they were still in school.
Rikki. I loved her character she really made me chuckle, and her view on not slut shaming people I loved and I think people should you know probably take a note and stop slut shaming. Her views on things just amused me especially about her and Sam, the fact that she doesn’t click about the fact he stole her panties was because of her. My one thought there was are you thick? But then I thought she’s very innocent like and is a virgin and wants to really keep that for someone she loves. So on the other hand I can understand why she didn’t know. Through this book I just thought why didn’t she just tell him, it was getting plainly obvious as it got further in the book and I just got annoyed.
Sam. Man up and bloody tell her, like I understand his reasoning for not telling her but darn it annoyed me. But it was totally obvious that he was in love with her, and all the times he let her sleep in his room it was so cute. Just their bonding as official friends it was so sweet and lovely. Their little talks about sex and why they were still a virgin I thought was a new open mind for young adults to talk about.
Near the end just after they get together it is revealed that Sam slept with someone and you know what, from then on I was just like it wasn’t needed. The author didn’t need to create that drama, it would have been nicer for them to have the first time together. And the whole Jason telling her I was just I wasn’t into it, and then the mum being in hospital I thought that was a little cliche. Then they get together. For me that little incident was not needed, the book would have been fine without that in for me. So that is one of the reasons why this only got 3 stars. I wish I could have gave it more but the ending, it totally ruined it for me.
Loved loved loves this book. Couldn’t put it down. Super cute and romantic.
Love this book brings me back to my teenage thought processes!
