SANDY – Grayson “Smokey” Wallace was a biker who was handsome, intelligent, ridiculously sexy, and a single dad. His swagger alone melted me into a puddle the night we met. There was only one problem, he didn’t do relationships. Knowing that tidbit of information beforehand was nice. It allowed me to get what I wanted from him and go on my merry way. My plan, however didn’t work.Not. At. All.… however didn’t work.
Not. At. All.
SMOKEY – The night I met Sandy I was after one thing and one thing only.
Sex.
There’s only one member of the opposite sex who I’ve ever cared about – my daughter. And, I knew that would never change.
Or so I thought.
Walking away isn’t always as easy as one might think.

How in the hell do these books keep getting better?
Not just these books but this entire series is kind of outdoing most of the previous ones (almost)
The characters, their stories, their struggles and that oh so loved possessive, protective alpha badass just keeps getting better with each new Hildreth book I open.
Smokey is so different from other characters, being a single father who refuses to bring a woman into his daughters life made me smile. His reasons may have been a teeny bit biased but he was being a good dad and it certainly didn’t hurt his girl one little bit.
I loved how he handled situations, none of that flipping out and biting Sandy’s head off. He took everything in stride, recognized what needed to be done and did it. He thinks before he acts, which I assume his raising a child on his own has made him that way, different than most of his brothers.
An Sandy, she’s pretty awesome. She’s almost a minor character to me as she’s easy going, easy to understand, you know how she’s going to react/handle things. Not that she’s not a great chick or important part of this book, she’s just uncomplicated where Smokey has something about him that makes you want to pay closer attention to him and his behavior.
Nick & Peyton were awesome, PeeBee & Tegan were effing amazing, Cholo & Lex easily meant to be from the word go. Smokey & Sandy, their story was so far from the rest it almost tops every Scott Hildreth book I’ve read.
Did I mention that I love this series?! Well I do! I am on a Filthy F*ckers/Scott Hildreth binge! I am just sorry it has taken me so long to get to it.
Rigid is book 4 in the series and it’s Smokey’s turn. I thought he was a bit of an ass, an endearing ass, but he is an ass for a reason. It’s his way of protecting himself and those close to him, his family, his MC.
When he meets Sandy, she is not what be was expecting, she is feisty, strong…..and that’s another thing I love about this author, the leading ladies, no matter what life has thrown at them, are strong, sassy, independent women. Circumstance brings them together but what develops between them is just beautiful.
Smokey is a DILF! I think it’s sweet how much he loves his daughter that he won’t do relationships so she doesn’t get hurt. At least he’s not parading a gazillion women in and out of their house. I liked Sandy, didn’t feel we got too much on her, but she was great with Eddie, Smokeys daughter. There’s a great part where Eddie is going on her first date and Smokey sets the rules for dating his daughter. I was taking mental notes! I say this MC story is a great addition to the series. I enjoyed it!
Scott Hildreth takes readers on an unexpected roller coaster of love, devotion, life choices and new beginnings in his newest addition to his Filthy F**ckers series, Rigid.
Smokey doesn’t do relationships. He sees the world in black and white, and only trusts those who have earned it. He is completely devoted to his daughter Eddie, that he has raised as a single father from birth and uses women for a night of fun, but never develops any attachments to them.
Sandy has been on her own most of her life. She works two jobs to make ends meet and knows how to take care of herself. She knows that hooking up with Smokey will be a fun time, but she can’t get attached either . . . even if she wants too, since he has already let her know he doesn’t do relationships.
Things quickly change between Smokey and Sandy when the unexpected happens . . . Can two people not looking to have a relationship make it work?
As in all of his books, Scott’s characters are always so much more than they first seem on the surface. Smokey’s devotion to his teenage daughter is simply amazing and a joy to read. Their banter clearly shows the love and respect they have for one another while keeping things real. As a heroine, Sandy is no shrinking violet. She knows what she wants and needs and goes after it. She is ready to take on the world all on her own . . . but finds that she may just have a chance at the family she has always wanted as long as she is ready to fight for it. Smokey’s daughter Eddy is sweet and sassy and awkward, just as any normal teenage girl is. Her character shines in this story and it is a joy to watch her coming of age. And, last, but not least is P-Nut . . . Smokey’s brother in the mc. Completely loyal and just a tad nuts, P-Nut acts as uncle, brother, sidekick and more in this book. He is also comedy gold to readers!
This book really has it all and was an exciting read. I loved watching Smokey and Sandy’s relationship evolve and develop as well as how Sandy fit into Smokey and Eddie’s family dynamic. It always amazes me, that even though Scott has written multiple MC romance books, each one is completely unique and brings a new element and morale to his collection.

There are definitely some surprises in this book. Smoke/Smokey is a very interesting man. (You don’t hear his real name, Grayson, is this story as much as the other guys in the previous books.) Smokey and Sandy have to be one of my favorite couples in this series. Smokey, a single dad for 17 yrs, is not one to do relationships. But an unexpected surprise and looks like that may change. I loved Smokey’s daughter, Eddie. That girl is just like her father. And the introduction of Smokey’s friend, P-Nut, had me rolling.
I’m on a roll and don’t plan on stopping just yet, on to Nuts!
