Wow this book is sensational. Every woman will want her very own Gavin. I could not put it down Brenda You did it again. I loved this book from start to finish
For some time now, I’ve been reading Brenda Novak’s books, but I confess that none of her stories left my nerves as tight as Right Where We Belong.
Starting with Savanna’s life story. A wife, mother and housewife, who also works out, living in a new town with no friends, and her only brother living far away, discovers that her husband is a rapist, accused of having raped three women.
Not enough, she is pointed out in the street by people who think she knew or suspected her husband’s activities, embarrassing her – and her kids – in public places.
(Note to myself: I’ve never thought about what a family faces when someone has been charged for a crime. We usually only think about the victims and their family)
She then decides to move with her children and goes to the Silver Springs ranch that her parents left for her and her younger brother Reese.
There, Savanna is helped by the neighbor Gavin, a man with long hair in the bun, tattoos, who plays guitar and always ready to help. Gavin is exactly the kind of man Gordon, her ex-husband, would despise.
Although Savanna and Gavin are attracted to each other, their lives were too complicated.
She had a divorce in progress, in danger of her husband getting out of jail because the police were not able to gather enough evidence to keep him there. Gordon’s mother, Dorothy, was a dangerous former alcoholic who sent threatening messages to Savanna.
Gavin was single but was being fiercely chased by a jealous and pregnant ex-girlfriend.
The atmosphere of tension throughout story, until everything is solved, is taken to the last level, and the reader is caught turning one page behind the other wanting to know the final result.
An almost emotional thriller novel.
Brenda definitely gets the reader’s attention and did an amazing work with the story of Gavin and Savanna.
When is the next book in the series coming out?

Really enjoyed this book – wasn’t sure what was happening next….
I truly do love this new series by Brenda Novak and Right Where We Belong is a great visit back in Silver Springs. The story is about Savanna Gray and Gavin Turner. I think it’s important for the reader to discover the whole story as it is deep, it is jaw-dropping, and it is loving and inspiring – all rolled into one. Savanna is dealing with a horrific ex-husband, trying to make a safe and healthy life for her children and Gavin has a past (before growing up on the New Horizons Ranch) AND some pretty big complications in his life today. The two of them meet, sparks fly, and they slowly build a relationship. I will say this: the author has both Savanna and Gavin deal with some heavy issues that they deal with separately and then together. I love Gavin, the character, however there were some choices he made (in his dealing with Savanna) that I found uncomfortable. All in all, he is a kind, but conflicted, individual. He truly comes to care for Savanna, who is about as gun-shy as a woman can get (rightly so!) and they make a wonderful team. And Savanna’s kids? Loved them! The story is a standalone but the series makes me happy so I recommend. We’ve met some of the characters in previous stories but it is easy to know who they are. Another great addition to the Silver Springs series!
