There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.
Bad boys run right over good girls like Georgina Keller, but after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around. Especially not the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.
Sebastian Quinn’s taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. And even though everyone says pretty, pint-sized Georgina is there to help, he can’t help thinking she’s hoping to land the final blow–and maybe even his job.
Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top–and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

I was really looking forward to Sebastian and Georgina, unfortunately they just didn’t deliver. It was lacking the angst/drama I tylically get from Jessica Hawkins.
While it was good it didn’t leave me excited or craving more. It was just good. The storyline was nice and I enjoyed the characters but I didn’t feel any crazy chemistry. I’m hopeful for Jessica Hawkins next book.
Wow!!! I love this author. Soooooo much.
1st. The promos I saw made me think the book was going to be a certain type(alpha-hole dom), while in actuality it was a truly hot romance between two equals.
Note: I love both types so.. I LOVED THIS BOOK
2nd. The characters were soooo hotly lovable. Seriously.
This is a very well written, plotted out story. Adore adore adored it!
Meet Georgina, somewhat nervous in her own skin thanks to her ex…
Enter, Sebastian, smoking hot, grieving, bachelor.
“George” is hired to pull Modern Man (Sebastian’s magazine) out of bad PR and to increase more current readers… Obviously, Sebastian isn’t happy about it… at first.
What ensues is a great story with phenomenal character development.
I highly recommend if you’d like a fabulously written book about some smoking hot peeps. And has a side bar of equality for all!? Read it!
PS: Am I the only one who is dying for Justin’s story!?
Jessica Hawkins
jessica always has a way of writing that sucks you in and doesn’t let go. even after the last page you want more. this book was no exception. their story is even made more real by showing true fears that we all have. i loved it and as i say ‘jessica does it again!’
It only takes a moment to change the trajectory of your life. Georgina was on new assignment to help save a sexist publication. Sebastian was a media bad boy who was lost and didn’t know what he needed until her. There is a fine line between love and hate. With the help of best friends and cute pooches, Georgina and Sebastian navigate the land mines of their pasts to forge forward to their future.
Jessica kills it with her first rom com. Sexual tension and office banter and wonderful characters, human and otherwise (gah, I love Great Danes!) make this is a fun engaging read!
So absolutely amazing. Sebastian and Georgina story sucks me in. I literally couldn’t put it down. Such an amazing book left me speechless. Jessica Hawkins another great book. Love a great enemies to lovers romance. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Another winner by Jessica Hawkins!
I just love everything that Jessica’s Hawkins writes! She is able to go from something with extreme angst like in the Something in the Way series to the funny, lighter story we find in Right Where I Want You.
Jessica writes such detail in her stories that we are able to really get to know the characters and I just fell in love with Sebastian and Georgina instantly. They struggle with the emotions they have for each other but watching these two turn the corner from enemies to lovers was such a fun ride. They really are great for each other and learn to confront things about themselves that they wouldn’t have been able to do without each other.
The secondary characters were a great addition too (just loved Justin) and especially Georgina‘s Great Dane, Bruno!
I definitely recommend this book! It’s a top read of 2018 for me!
Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins is an office romance with a twist.
Georgina is working as a consultant for a men’s magazine. She has to work hard to fit in with the guys and rebrand the magazine, while maintaining a professional relationship with the so-hot-it’s-unfair Creative Director, Sebastian.
I am huge fan of strong female characters, and I didn’t see that in Georgina, so I had difficulty connecting with her. The representation of her as a dynamo at work, but a doormat in her personal life was hard for me to reconcile.
Typically, Jessica makes you feel things when you read her books. All the things. You will find emotions inside of you that you didn’t even know you could feel. She twists you all up and enjoys every second of it. I love to feel that way, which is why I love her stories so much. In this case, I didn’t feel a connection between Georgina and Sebastian, and I’m not sure why.
Jessica has spoiled me with her words for years. I will read whatever she writes, and I look forward to what she has up next, but this book just wasn’t the right fit for me.
3.5 stars
If you’re a Jessica Hawkins fan, you won’t be disappointed with this book. Actually, if you enjoy an office romance, you won’t be disappointed in this book.
Sebastian and Georgina very quickly became a favorite couple–one you didn’t want to stop reading, one you didn’t want to see end, and one you will tell others to read.
REVIEW: 4 STARS
“When there was no more hate, only love, where was the line?”
Jessica Hawkins has topped my list of favorite authors for years, and I have made no secret of that. Her angst, her storytelling, her characters with decisions and guarded hearts – she’s always a win with me. With her latest jaunt into a lighter, sweeter comedy, I knew this was going to test me. I’m used to the pull of my heartstrings and the steady pumping of my heart because the angst is so powerful that I’m on the edge of my seat. I didn’t get that angst or tug with this one, but you know what? I’m ok with that. I have had a few days to think about it and while it was a slow comeuppance for me (I had to get with the “no-angst” program), it was a story that I definitely enjoyed reading. I am not denying that the story was good, because it was, but it was just different than the Jessica Hawkins Angst-fest I am used to reading. It was also worthy of great amounts of discussion and laughter among the group of ladies I was reading with.
As you may know, I don’t often do sweet, nor do I do comedies a whole lot, but this was Jessica and I knew I needed to read it. I have read and loved every single book she has written, so this was a no brainer for me. Having said all that, I really did enjoy this book. What I got with this one was a surprise though. I got a down to earth Hero that had all the flaws a young bachelor can and should have. He was crass with his words around his friends, he had a great “who cares” attitude caked with nonchalance when it came to dealing with some things, and he had some oddball sayings that made me laugh. But he was REAL to me. A normal guy with a real personality and real quirks. He wasn’t as put together as I originally thought he was going to be, but that reality made him more relatable. This guy was more firmly planted in the ground in his way of thinking, so to add Georgina to the mix was a fun traipse through their volatile relationship. But, that was their love story. That is what kept me turning the pages to find out how they came together and how the walls were going to come down. It took a little time for me to warm up to Georgina because she had a sort of “switch” and that flip gave me an Elvis lip twitch. The deal is, once we got down to the roots of these two characters with their issues and their pain, I couldn’t help but fall in love with their love story….because it was truly theirs to work through.
“You’re complicating things. Just be who you are.”
Sebastian’s strength was easily measured in his mental convictions, whereas Georgina’s was in her work life. Their dynamic worked well and their banter was the stuff that smiles are made of. I loved when they were at each other! I loved when they tried to show up the other wth their ‘knowledge’. That made for good back and forth between the characters. I always enjoy the flow of Jessica’s books and the way she builds up her characters. I will say that I walked away with a better appreciation for personal growth and reading it through someone else’s eyes after this one. It’s amazing how we let fear get in the way of our dreams and doubly insane how we let other people’s opinions change how we see ourselves. Jessica had a different voice in this book, and combined with a change of pace, it allowed a new love to unfold different and apart from all her other books.
BUT!!! This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the supporting cast and crew; their friends. I’m sure this is probably one of my favorite group of secondaries. Justin had me rolling at one point – like dying, and Luciano was not much different, but he had some extra sass to him. They added another level of reality and depth to the story and every time they were around, I was laughing. Because this story wasn’t just about two people working through their own issues, oh no. It literally took a village. The reality of the characters was there and there wasn’t any super-human, thoughtful claims to process, and it just read like an every day, normal life situation, but with the added pleasure of finding your true love in the process – Jessica Hawkins style. It really showcased how good it is to be able to lean on some friends to talk things through. Such great secondary characters and I loved them!! I was completely caught off guard at how hard I laughed in some spots. Seriously, because not only did I fall in love with the primary and secondary characters, I actually would LOVE to hear their stories too!! Let’s start with Justin’s story, mmkay? Pretty please, Jessica? HAHAHA!
I may have sighed when Sebastian got flirty with Georgina, and I may have had the chills when he whispered in her ear from behind….but I’ll never tell.
“Don’t tell me your flaws aren’t my blessings.”

Whenever I read a Jessica Hawkins book, I know It would be beautiful and be feeling all the things!! She proved yet again in this story. I loved the couple Sebastian and Georgina. My dream couple really. Their chemistry is just off the charts. I loved the other characters too especially Justin! I hope he gets a book. This story was everything. I loved it so much.
Enemies to lovers: check.
Office romance: check.
Slow burn: check.
Sexual tension through the roof: CHECK and CHECK!
Georgina is no one’s pushover. She’s a successful fixer. She’s strong. She’s a great person. And then she meets her newest job and he hates her. She’s not too fond of him either. But you just know all that bristling is masking some serious sexual tension. The banter. The quips. The barbs. The jabs. All masking the latent attraction between these two. And I was loving every minute of this enemies to lovers office romance because Georgina and Sebastian are fire together! I like that the author balances the enemies and the lovers line perfectly, never making the banter too malicious, but not ooey gooey sweet either. Perfect in fact.
Sebastian is the kind of hero I like best – smart, alpha but not too alpha, a little closed off, and brought to his knees by his true love, the only woman for him. He and Georgina’s slow burn, but hotter than hot chemistry is just the right touch for an enemies to lovers office romance.
If you’re in the mood for an enemies to lovers office romance with loads of heart, tons of heat, and witty, sexy banter, I highly recommend you 1-click Right Where I Want You today.
Jessica Hawkins always writes a page turner! This hot office romance between Sebastian and Georgina held my rapt attention with their witty banter. The story was full of emotion and so many feelings! Another amazing read from this incredibly talented author.
This was a definite change of style for this author. This story was lighter than her usual stories and that is a great thing considering this author sucked all the emotions out of her readers with her last series. This was a enemies to lovers story and the male character was dreamy. The side characters in this story were hilarious. The male character and his friend had me constantly laughing.
This might be a case of it’s not you, it’s me… but I unfortunately struggled through this book. When I think of Jessica Hawkins’ books, I think of immediate gut punches of emotions and angst to the max. This book had none of that and I barely felt any emotion from the characters at all. I’m not sure if it was the pacing of the story, not being able to connect with the heroine, or the overuse of the ex being mentioned, but it did not hold my attention and I was able to easily put it down and walk away. The saving grace for me was Sebastian. I appreciated his POV chapters. I have LOVED everything this author has previously written, but this book was not for me. I will continue to read this author in hopes of her reclaiming her Queen of Angst title.
Enemies to lovers is what Jessica Hawkins new book “Right Where I Want You” is about. Sebastian Quinn has it all looks, career, and women. Georgina Keller is smart, beautiful and frustrating to Sebastian. They both have deep past hurts that make trusting a huge part of their journey. This book was witty and romantic. It also has secondary characters that you will fall in love with. They all help in opening up Sebastian and Georgina eyes to the possibilities of true love. This book was definitely a lighter read from Jessica’s angst. If you want a feel good romantic swoon then Sebastian Quintanilla is your man. I also craved “chilaquiles” while reading this book. It’s a Mexican meal that is one of Sebastian’s favorites. Yummy.
Funny and entertaining, this story is an enemies to lovers romcom until the end.
Georgina and Sebastian love story is quite cute to read. While hating each other due to their business relationship, you can feel the intensity of their desire, but as they both are quite stubborn, it’s a slow burn until the end.
I found myself seeking the angst the author delivers in her other titles and found none here. So if you enjoy a good laugh, get this book!
5 stars
I love the books where it becomes physically impossible to put them down. You just have to know what’s coming, what is about to happen next. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect from this story. I knew I’d love it because I’ve yet to not like something that Ms. Hawkins wrote. What we receive was amazing. It was fun and witty, swoon worthy and intriguing. Gah! I loved Sebastian and Georgina. It’s your typical enemies-to-lovers story, but then again, it’s not. They didn’t automatically start out as enemies. There was an instant attraction that went downhill pretty quickly during their first meeting. Aaaaaannnddd the meeting after that too.
You MUST read Right Where I Want You to experience the amazing chemistry between these two. They had the hilarious banter, a few heart clenching moments. Add all of this together and it literally makes for the PERFECT story. I love all of the angst this author normally brings us, but it makes for a nice surprise when she gives us something like this out of the blue! I loved every second and every word!
This is my first Jessica Hawkins book and definitely won’t be the last. I love it as well as Georgina and Sebastian so much!
It was exactly what I needed and couldn’t put it down. I was anxious, wanting to know what would happen next and it always turned out to be something unexpected in the best ways. It had a little bit of all my favourite things and I truly enjoyed it. I think JH is going to be my new goto author for when I’m in a funk!
Well…this is my first foray into a Jessica Hawkins novel and I am kicking myself right now for not reading her books sooner!
I am so in love with this story! And not just the story, but these characters too! I am absolutely head over heels for Sebastian! He may have gotten off to a rough start but by a few chapters in, I was declaring him the winner of my heart. This spectacular man is goodness wrapped in an infuriatingly sexy package. He’s fun, charming, and kind, but also extremely stubborn, which gets him into trouble often.
Georgina is a whirlwind of chaos thrust into Sebastian’s otherwise ordered world. She’s quirky, intelligent, and complex. Her kindness is often mistaken for weakness but she’s anything but weak. She has the most giving heart. But things aren’t easy when it comes to Sebastian. As they often say, there’s a thin line between love and hate.
This book was packed cover to cover with ALL the feels. Add in some AMAZING best friends, lovable pets, funny moments, and heartbreaking drama, and this book is a well-rounded little piece of magic. It may have taken me a while to read this author but I’m so glad I did!
