There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.
Bad boys run right over good girls like Georgina Keller, but after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around. Especially not the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.
Sebastian Quinn’s taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. And even though everyone says pretty, pint-sized Georgina is there to help, he can’t help thinking she’s hoping to land the final blow–and maybe even his job.
Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top–and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

Jessica never disappoints me with her storytelling and this one is no different! I loved the characters! Sebastian and Georgina stole my heart!!! I highly recommend reading this book!! LOVED it!!!
This is a hearts and flowers type romance. Enemies to lovers. I missed the usual angst this author delivers, stories that leave me word vomiting expletives. However, I was still swept up in the romance of Sebastian and Georgina.
Two characters with past issues and insecurities they each know they have but struggle to overcome. Forced to work with each other it doesn’t take long for the to realise that there is a fine line between hate and love. It was a warning tale as the animosity started to turn to admiration then respect and finally love.
Told from a dual POV Jessica Hawkins is true to her style by delivering a painfully slow burn romance that simmers away in the background. A heartfelt story that’s great to curl up on the sofa with a cup of hot chocolate on cold winter days and get lost in the warmth of these characters

My Rating: 4.5 *****
Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins is a feel good rom/com , a standalone novel.
Meet Georgina Keller. She’s a30 year old good girl that loves to fall for bad boys. After her latest bad breakup she decides, no more. She’s over being a doormat. At her job successful, only in her private life she’s lacking a backbone.
Sebastian Quinn quickly becomes Georgina’s enemy number one. He stands for all that she despises, and she has to work with him, endure his behaviour for weeks to come. Only Sebastian isn’t what he seems at the first look. He can be a good guy, but he polished his bad boy image and believes he can thrive on it. Both have a lot to learn.
Right Where I Want You is a witty and fun read. I liked the storyline and the characters. The writing is great and the story has everything I love in it. I give 4,5 stars.
Georgina is the consultant for a men’s magazine that is failing. Sebastian is the creative director and the magazine has been his heart and soul for 10 years. These two have to share his office while they work through changes the magazine needs to survive. Georgina has an alter ego, George, in her client handling mode. Either way she is a petite red head that is fiery in her responses. Sebastian is the panty melting batchelor that has a sweet side he is reluctant to show. Clever banter leads to laugh out loud reading. Strong woman, sweet guy, funny dialog, great side characters and Bruno the dog make this a must read. Loved it!
Good book.
I have had a different series of Jessica Hawkins’ on my TBR list for AGES. I’m not sure why I keep putting it off. I suspect it has something to do with some of the reviews, while glowing, also warning that it will destroy me. After reading this book, I can totally understand how that might be a possibility!
Georgina and Sebastian’s story is one that is constructed around a workplace rivalry situation after a pretty dramatic coffee shop encounter. She’s trying to correct the course of the men’s magazine he’s creative director of and if they aren’t verbally sparring or butting heads over the hows and whys of her job, it’s a miracle. Their chemistry is off the charts from the very start, and they are both characters the reader can relate to on a pretty significant level.
Sebastian is completely swoon-inducing, even at his most frustrating, and Georgina the kind of girl anyone would love to have as a BFF. Together they are great… if they can just work out their own issues to see it!
Recommended for sure, a great read on all counts!
I adored Sebastian right away. He was totally sweet and charismatic. Georgina is fantastic! I love the way she tackles life and just handles it all. She has this fierce streak of determination and goals to take back her life. She’s extremely admirable. Right Where I Want You has you evaluating your life. It makes you think about the choice and decisions you’ve made… the mistakes. The wit and banter between the two main characters was fun to read. It really added something to this story that was way deeper than I expected! Both Sebastian and Georgina have this intense attraction that they are both fighting by throwing hate at the other while battling over office politics and problems.
Jessica Hawkins created an incredibly layered storyline that was seriously an amazing read! I love the obvious story in this story but there was this hidden storyline that sneaks up on you and grabs you by the heart! I related to Georgina more than I ever expected to. I think we all, especially women, struggle with being giving and caring without people taking advantage of us. I loved seeing these two build something together while working through those business and personal issues. Sometimes being with another people makes us stronger than being along… that’s what these two share in Right Where I Want You.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
We’ve been waiting with bated breath for this book from Jessica and it was even better than we could have imagined! Georgina Keller is sweet and kind which some people, including her ex, perceive as weakness and use it to walk all over her. Thus her George persona in the office. Sebastian Quinn misconceives her personality totally at their first accidental meeting and they start out on the wrong foot.
Sebastian has given his all to Modern Man magazine at the expense of his own reputation, and made it into a best seller, but circumstances in his life during the past year have distracted him and the magazine has suffered. Therefore his boss has brought in Georgina as a consultant to revamp the staff and revive the magazine. Sebastian feels betrayed and knows his job is on the line. He also resents Georgina at the same time he is fiercely attracted to her.
The sexual tension between them is palpable, and the banter is glorious! He is drawn to her like a moth to a flame and as he chips at her walls, his own crumble. They become unlikely friends. They tell each other all their secrets. And get close…very close..hot!
And the dogs! They were my favorite part! Bruno and Opal! The stories behind these beautiful animals will pull your heartstrings . The secondary characters are perfect – Justin and Luciano, they were so funny as the best friends. And the best part, a HEA.
You will never look at Dunkin Donuts coffee, cinnamon buns, or gummy bears without conjuring up some of the best memories of this book! This was the best Christmas present but you can have Christmas anytime by just one clicking this book and reading this wonderful Romcom. You will be so glad you did!! 5 Amazing Stars!!!
I’m not sure if I can properly convey how much I loved this story. It was equal parts sexy, swoony and sweet. It’s the kind of book that reminds me of why I love the romance genre so much, the kind of book that leaves me with a smile on my face and a warm fuzzy feeling long after I finished it. It’s also the kind of book that reminds me why Hawkins is an automatic one click.
The banter and chemistry between Georgina and Sebastian was spot on. I found myself cracking up several different times while reading. There was just something that was so charming and adorable about the way that they interacted with each other. This is a great change of pace from the ultra angst that the author usually writes but my goodness does she knock it out of the park. I for one am hopeful for more rom/coms from her.
There wasn’t one thing I didn’t love about his story. The plot, the characters, the one liners, it was all fantastic. Seriously, my cheeks hurt from smiling so much. I’ve got some serious heart eyes for these two, and I’d be over the moon to see this book made into s movie.
4.5 Stars!!
This has been one of my most anticipated reads so when it landed on my kindle I did the biggest happy dance! I loved it! It’s a one of a kind read that I needed.
Georgina and Sebastian’s story was Unputdownable from the very beginning! From their banter to getting to dig deeper into who they were as characters I couldn’t get enough.
Ms.Hawkins has created another amazing book once again!
*I volunteered to review a Copy of this book from the author*
4.00 – 4.50 Sebastian was the bad boy of the publishing world. His antics played out in his magazine and in the tabloid headlines. His infamous party-boy rep was about to sink his men’s magazine. Georgina was tapped to clean up the lad mag and turn things around. The two became enemies until they realized they had each other Right Where I Wanted them.
This sexy and sweet enemies-to-lovers office romance was a lot of fun. It wasn’t especially angsty and it was super real. I especially loved Jessica’s portrayal of the publishing world. I’m still giggling.Right Where I Want You
I love this story! I relate so much to Georgiana. And Sebastian. Well… I love how much she challenges him, and changes him. There were laughs and there were tears and everything else I needed to read right now!
Jessica is a one click for me and this one won’t disappoint!
I’m a huge fan of Jessica Hawkins books. I love a good angsty slow burn but unfortunately I just didn’t connect with the story or characters in this one. Although I struggled through some parts, I think most readers will still enjoy this slow burn romance. There were some parts that I really enjoyed, like the banter between the characters. Those parts were my favorite. Also, Justin. I love him. I even found myself laughing a few times. Although I didn’t love the story, it was still a good, sweet read and I look forward to reading this authors next book.
RIGHT WHERE I WANT YOU … my very first Jessica Hawkins read. Yeah, I know, under which rock have I been hiding? And this one was a truly beautiful story with only a little angst and a whole lot of depth and heart and a heroine and a hero that stole my heart from the get-go and my fondness of them only grew stronger the more their story progressed.
Georgina and Sebastian’s story was all but easy. It might not be overloaded with angst and drama and the fear to even breathe, but it wouldn’t be a true enemies-to-lovers romance if there wasn’t a constant, sizzling, butterfly-inducing push and pull dynamic, spiked with sexual tension and an emotional impact to knock you off your feet. Yeah, that’s kinda how I felt with this one and why it catapulted itself right on top of my favorites of this trope.
Georgina could be the girl next door I’m friends with. She is so well-portrayed that she feels like a real person – a real person I can absolutely relate to. She is strong, yet lets her insecurities get in the way at times, she is kind witty. Then there’s Sebastian. What a man, Stubborn as can be, caring and sweet in all the right moments. Just … swoon! And with the smart, sassy banter they share, the fights they are having and the way they both are with her wonderful dog, they are given such a depth, such a complexity and growth in character and their relationship to make this one a must read romance.
This book is just fabulous! Well written, witty and warm, it hosts two gorgeous leading voices in Georgina and Sebastian who are now nestled securely in my favourite couples list.
Told from both points of view, this book lets us into the hearts and minds of our H&H in a most effective and affecting way. We see quickly beyond their facades and into the truth of their lives and both their secure and insecure visions of themselves.
The well developed plot, the pace and execution are all 5 star worthy. This book is destined to sit with my top reads of 2018!
If you’re looking for a great romance that will make you laugh, hit you in the feels, and leave you with that happy feeling only a good book can provide, then this is the book you should be reading.
I loved this one from start to finish. Sebastian and Georgina are one of those types of couples I love reading about. They had this sexy banter that was so fun to read. They helped each other grow as people. I liked them individually and together. Throw in some office romance and a little enemies to lovers and you have a package that was hard to put down.
I also loved that they had strong, supportive friends and family members who stood by them as they grew and realized their true selves. Good friends are also one of those things Jessica Hawkins does well.
This new book by one of my favorite authors is one I’m so happy to have had the opportunity to read and is one I highly recommend.
3.5-4 STARS
Well, I’ll be honest and say that even though I enjoyed this story enough, I feel like there was something missing between the main characters and the story itself. Unfortunately I didn’t connect with the story as much as I would’ve liked to. There were funny moments and the banter was great in many ways. I missed the angst I’m used to from Jessica SO much.
This was a lighthearted read, but I’m looking forward to what Jessica has in store next!
What a wonderful read! So full of tension and angst, you’ll be on the edge of your seat.
Jessica Hawkins is magic! Her characters are always so intriguing. The enemies to lovers story is fantastic.
Sebastian Quinn is seemingly a rich and handsome playboy with no regard for his “conquests”. As the creative director of Modern Man, his behavior is always under scrutiny and his reputation has taken a real beating in the media. His job is now on thin ice unless he straightens out. In comes Georgina a/k/a George Keller, publicity specialist, to save the dying magazine. From the beginning there is tension and head-butting but also attraction. Working together closely for 2 months should be interesting.
This story had it all. George has confidence issues due to a jerk ex-boyfriend but at work she’s a take-charge, assertive and confident leader. Sebastian is all smooth, confident and has A+ game with the ladies. However as they work together and get to know each other they find out they’re both hiding issues that deeply affect them. It was fascinating to see their relationship evolve and how they start opening up to each other. Their backstories are touching. It explained alot about the people they are.
I really enjoyed this story. The secondary characters were awesome. They made me laugh, especially Justin and the elevator scene with Bruno. Hilarious. And I really liked Sebastian’s sister, Libby. Great read and an absolute must read!
