There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.
Bad boys run right over good girls like Georgina Keller, but after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around. Especially not the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.
Sebastian Quinn’s taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. And even though everyone says pretty, pint-sized Georgina is there to help, he can’t help thinking she’s hoping to land the final blow–and maybe even his job.
Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top–and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

Right Where I Want You is a great, light-hearted and funny enemies to lovers/office romance. Sebastian and Georgina are refreshing and a very likeable couple. They truly made an excellent team and I enjoyed reading every moment of their hysterical banter.
This is a slow burn romance however it is well worth the wait. It’s also one of those books that lure you in and each chapter will have you begging for more. The plot is engaging, it’s consistent and flows nicely. It’s a definite must read.
When Sebastian Quinn’s reputation threatens to end his career, its up to Georgina Keller to reinvent it. No amount of charm is going to distract her. Jessica Hawkins had once again wrote an amazing book with amazing characters. I found that this book quickly stole my heart and I found a very relatable to everyday life.
It took me a while to warm up Georgina and Seb. I detest reading weak female character, push overs and doormat.
Her ex really did a number on her. I didn’t like Seb during the majority of this book I found him to be a chauvinist, it was only towards the end I liked him.
You do find out why they’re the way they are and it makes for some interesting reading.
Jessica has done a complete 180 from her previous work. Right Where I Want You is an entertaining enemy to lover’s romance that will have you smiling and swooning every step of the way.
Georgina Keller knows how to command a boardroom, but wishes that her quick wit at work would cross over into her everyday life. She’s self-conscience and unsure of herself when she’s not in “work mode” and the mask she wears is beginning to weigh on her when she meets Sebastian Quinn.
Sebastian has a reputation, one that Georgina has no interest in entertaining. She’s completely on task when she’s working with him and won’t back down to his jabs and pushy ways. Their quick, witty banter is fun, and neither is willing to back down from a challenge. The tension between them is hot and the sexual tension between them builds at a perfect pace.
They’re both hiding behind a mask, a perception they want to portray to remain successful. Jessica does a great job of peeling those layers away as Sebastian and Georgina get to know one another in an honest and sincere way. It takes time, it takes nurturing and taking this journey with them was a sweet reward.
The secondary characters give this sweet romance a fun, laugh out loud vibe that will put a smile on your face. They don’t detract from the story but give it a lighthearted feel that is great. Jessica’s writing, her ability to engage you in this romance is not something you want to miss!
Right Where I Want You was a riveting and heartwarming pageturner that held me mesmerized. Sebastian and Georgina’s characters were interesting, relatable and I found myself quickly connected to them. Even the secondary characters were engaging and ones I hope to hear more of in the very near future. There was so much more than meets the eye with both Georgina and Sebastian and they each owned their flaws. I loved how they could both see behind the mask the other presented to the world. I couldn’t help but root for them especially when the sparks began to fly. The slowburn between them along with the witty banter and heartfelt emotion had me smiling, laughing out loud and swooning. Right Where I Want You is a heartwarming must read you don’t want to miss!
Holy crap, this book! It’s everything! It’s one of this author’s best work to date. It’s a hot, sexy enemies to lovers office rom-com! Everyone should read it! You will not be disappointed!!
One of the best reads of this year reached me almost at the end but the wait and suffering through Jessica’s teasers was so WORTH IT! Right Where I Want You is an entertaining office romance story that will made me soo emotional! It feels very real and raw as if Jessica was squeezing my heart just by words. Although it stars as what seems as enemies to lovers, Jessica made sure to remind me once again that not everything is black and white and that there’s thin line between love and hate.
Georgiana and Sebastian are amazing characters I fell in love with from the first chapter. There’s more to both of them than meets the eye and uncovering their layers made this book so catchy and interesting! They are both strong despite or maybe in spite of being flawed. The personas they had bulit around them and tried hard to maintain started to crumble down when they met.
What I loved about this story is that Jessica kept the story line simple and didn’t complicate it too much which left lots of space for character development and as I mentioned previously, sort of uncovering deeper layers of each character.
This book will melt your heart! Five stars!
I think I’m missing something that a lot of other readers saw and loved.
This book wasn’t bad but I thought it would be more.
I didn’t feel the connection between Georgina and Sebastian. I kept waiting and waiting but it never clicked for me romantically.
Of course the writing it well done. This writer always delivers on that. Maybe I’m missing the angst (which I never thought I would say).
4.5 stars
Right Where I Want You.. hits, right where it’s wanted. Okay, all puns aside.. What a thoroughly enjoyable book!
The big bad world of publishing was brought just a little bit closer. Sebastian.. oh my Sebastian.. painted in the worst light in public, in truth, if anything, he is just a bit too perfect. Considerate, kind, polite and always thinking of others.
George.. or Georgina is going through some trials of her own, before even starting her new job, that surface throughout the book. They ring very true for many, putting on a front to be tough, but faltering in personal situations.
They gave as good as they got, and their easy banter was charming. When it finally climbed the hurdle, it all went a bit fast for my taste, though told over quite some time, but still all in all a great book.
Jessica Hawkins slays me with every story I read! This book is no different! An enemies to lovers story featuring the gorgeous Sebastian (even his name makes me swoon!) and the witty and severely talented Georgina. The back-and-forth banter between these two characters had me hooked from the beginning and I fell in love with them individually first but even more so together! The unexpected addition of Bruno and Opal melted my heart! This was beautifully written and such a fantastic complement to the story!!
The side characters, oh lord, Justin cracks me up and I would love to read his story! Luciano, the ever loyal best friend, gave such great advice and made sure his bestie knew what she was worth; we all need one of him in our lives!
So in love with this story! Another fantastic book, Jessica. Thank you for bringing these characters to life; they are some of my favorites!!
I discovered Jessica Hawkins after a friend recommended her. I then proceeded to binge read all of her books that had been released while eagerly awaiting new titles. The minute I saw the blurb for this book I had grabby hands. An office frenemies to lovers? Bring it.
Now, I need to say that I’m not a huge fan of angst. However, when this Author writes I can’t devour it fast enough. It just flows and works and I can’t resist it. This title had a smidgen of angst here there were also moments that just made me smile and sigh, giving me just the right balance that I needed.
Georgina and Sebastian meet in a way that had me smiling, face palming and finally cringing a bit. That carried over into their next meet, with a dash of laughter tossed in. But right from the start I liked these two, I felt they were genuine and real. I was interested to see their story play out.
I can completely, 100% relate to Georgina. I think a lot of women will be able to say the same. She’s a mix of strong and vulnerable, and you can’t help but root her on. I wanted to slap her ex, but in reality, he helped make her who she became so I should thank him.
Sebastian? Hello, hot book boyfriend. This man. I fell hard for him, even when he was being a jerk. I could sympathize for him and wanted to hug him (yes, I wanted to slap him at other times but nobody is perfect-not even a book boyfriend). I think he was strong and sexy, and I love his determination.
There is no denying that there’s a connection between these two. Watching them explore that thin line of love and hate, watching them fall? It was a gift to read. I loved being with them every step of this journey.
This book flowed so very well. I couldn’t stop reading once I started. I loved this Author’s take on enemies to lovers in the work place. I also LOVED the supporting characters and wouldn’t mind seeing some of them get to tell their own story.
I loved this book and absolutely recommend it.
Jessica Hawkins does it again. She brings us a story that sucks you in from the beginning and keeps you flipping the pages until the end! This story is about Sebastian, the charismatic creative directory of the magazine Modern Man, and the PR guru Georgina aka George. Georgina is brought in to save the image of Modern Man, but that idea hurts Sebastian’s ego a bit. He’s not ready to work with this woman brought in to a man’s world so their relationship is fiery but sexually charged!
They have to work together, but are they able to? Can Sebastian have Georgina in his world? Can Georgina survive in this man’s man world. Can their relationship stay work-related only?
4.5 “I’m on Love’s Side” Stars!…
I absolutely loved this Enemies to Lovers, office romance! The sparks fly between Sebastian and Georgina during an awkward meet cute in a coffee shop. Things go south quickly and they go their separate ways, not knowing that they will meet again shortly. Sebastian is a successful creative director at a gentlemens magazine. He has had a tough year after a personal loss and his boss brought in Georgina as a ‘fixer’ to help turn things around. They clash from the start, trying to deny their burning attraction. I loved how Hawkins took her time with this slow-burn romance. This allowed us to really get to know the kind, thoughtful, loving people that Sebastian and Georgina were, and to really care for them especially with all their flaws. They are perfect together, I loved their banter and the way they challenged each other, and their chemistry explodes right off the page. The ending had my heart racing and me cheering for their HEA. I also loved their supportive friends and family. Sebastian’s friend and colleague, Justin, was a real scene stealer as he manipulated them both in the best ways! The epilogue was so sweet and totally them. I loved this beautiful, fun, emotional, and sexy journey and hope that Justin gets a book too!
“Since I met you, I’ve been feeling… more like myself than I have in a while.”
If you’re worried that this is just another office romance, fear not. Jessica puts her own little spin on this story that makes it completely unique and absolutely swoon worthy. This book makes you want to strive to be a BETTER you.
Both Georgina and Sebastian are dealing with their own personal obstacles in life. Those particular drawbacks are what ends up linking them and eventually has them coming together because of it. His words had always gotten under my skin easily, something I’d mistaken for rivalry. Now, I saw it for what it was–compatibility. Sebastian may have a reputation that claims he’s a womanizer and a play boy, but deep down he’s hiding his true self. “I’m not the player you think I am –I only play one in the media.” Georgina may appear to others like someone that can get easily walked over. Someone that is TOO nice. TOO kind. And because of that, Georgina felt like she couldn’t show her true self. She feared that she wouldn’t be accepted. “When I met you, I’d been trying to hide or overcome my flaws out of shame. Then you came along and told me I was allowed to have them. That I was allowed to be kind.” All of Sebastian and Georgina’s fears and insecurities are faced in this novel and through each other, they find their HEA.
I loved how you could feel Sebastian and Georgina’s love SLOWLY growing for each other in this novel. It was the epitome of slow-burn. You were able to see that they were finding a “home” within each other and at the same time, they were able to find themselves and overcome their own personal obstacles in their lives. All they needed to do was find “the one” person that could see their flaws for what they were, BLESSINGS and LOVABLE. Unfortunately, this was also the reason for my 3 star rating. I felt the slow burn was SO. SLOW. at times that I found my mind wondering. I think maybe I just anticipated MORE angst with this novel and was sad to read there wasn’t any. If this was a “change of pace/less angsty” type of thing that Jessica was trying out, then I commend her for branching out and trying something different. Ultimately, this is a fun book for someone to read if they aren’t in the mood for a heart racing story, and just want a realistic story with heart.
If you’re looking for a easy read with emotional depth, real life personal challenges and MINIMAL angst, this is the book for you. It has some serious moments that have you relating to the characters and empathizing with them, but then it has some funny moments that have you laughing and full of butterflies. Sebastian is most definitely the type of man I would want in real life. #swoon. And I have to say I LOVED one particular secondary character, Justin…he made up for most of the comedic relief in this story and was quite entertaining! I would be interested in reading his story, if Jessica was so inclined to write it *wink*

Jessica Hawkins had brought romance story with a classic spin-off. I was super excited after reading the blurb. This story had highlighted two personalities with their own challenges.
Sebastian Quinn, the charming persona sexy man… I love his characters with passion… I adored his love for the family… Georgina Keller, Miss Fixer-up.. fiesty woman… someone who can resist man like Sebastian…
I loved the diversity and vibes between Seb and Georgina.. The relationship was meticulous, sharp, intense and loving.. Both persons were too scared to move on until they have discovered the true feelings.
This story was fresh and beyond meaning for a light reader.. I have enjoyed the story truly. I have a hugh crush with Seb..
Jessica, you had brought ‘the butterfly’ feelings within the romance… I have felt the love, compassion and the means of Letting go. You had written the romance with brilliant ideas and I had so much laughter moments.
4.5 stars. Enemies to lovers in an office romance, need I say more? There is so much fun stuff happening in this book in parallel to the seriousness of the plot and relationship development. Georgina Keller and Sebastian Quinn actually meet firsthand before they are officially introduced in the office later, as coworkers working along side each other in Georgina’s mind, and immediate nemeses in Sebastian’s mind. Their first impressions already color their second impressions. This sets the stage for the tension between them because Georgina is a different person in the office compared to out of it, whereas Sebastian has a real side to him versus his perceived persona at work. I loved these dichotomies because it showcased how multi-faceted people are in different aspects of their life and how to peel back the layers. And if people can’t find common, neutral ground at work, then who can deny a connection when there’s a pet involved? Dogs play a big role in this story and it’s very heartwarming.
Georgina is very independent, loyal and kind-hearted, but struggles with balancing her generosity with being taken for granted. She’s very direct and commanding at work without being insensitive and callous. As for Sebastian, he’s proactive, dedicated and hardworking, coupled with comfortable and hot-headed when it comes to his job. Yet he’s very respectful to people from all walks of life and doesn’t expect anyone to clean up after him. They both have personal issues coupled with professional challenges, especially while they’re sharing an office. But I could feel the sparks and detect their fascination with each other. What impressed me about them was how forthcoming they could be with communication and when the walls fell, they saw the other’s weaknesses as strengths instead. The banter was hilarious and the secondary characters were beyond entertaining. Between laughing and swooning, there were some heart clenching moments and angst, too. Georgina and Sebastian straddled that thin line perfectly.
OMG! I absolutely adored Sebastian & Georgina and the dynamics of their relationship. The way George puts Sebastian in his place is amazing. Loved Sebastian from the very beginning and the spitfire that George is, totally made this book. This book keeps you from the beginning and holds on until the end. A definite must read.
Let me say I couldn’t stop laughing. Jessica still has her normal feel of writing in this book but so much more also. You have Sebastian who is the boss that everyone likes. Hot, funny, confident and gets along with everyone. Georgina aka George comes into mostly male territory work place and is bound to get some remarks. She is there to help get company back on track but how will she do it when she’s not one of the guys. I can’t say enough good things where I want to say so much but don’t want to give it away. You have humor, love, angst let be honest it’s all there.
Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins is the story of Sebastian Quinn and Georgina Keller.
Sebastian runs Modern Man and had worked to bring it up in the world but recent events with his life has made things slide some. Which leads to Georgina being brought in to help with things. Georgina is getting over a break up and is concentrating on work. But sparks are flying between her and Sebastian along with a love /hate relationship.
Really enjoyed their story!
A few weeks ago I was in New York City, visiting with family. While I was there, all I could think about was the fact that Jessica Hawkins next book will take place here and I cannot wait to read it. That might sound strange, but I say this because Jessica makes the location of her story such an important part of her story that it is definitely a character in of itself and she did not disappoint in bringing the city alive in her story.
Now the real main characters- Sebastian and Georgina were perfect— the chemistry, the tension, the dialogue. All made it hard for me to put the story down. Everything flowed so well in terms of the storyline and I actually did not see a lot of what was to come until it happened, so to me I found it to be a very unpredictable story. I fell in love with the secondary characters, one in particular that I want to have their own story(please!).
Thank you for delivering such a great book to read over the holidays!
