There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.
Bad boys run right over good girls like Georgina Keller, but after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around. Especially not the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.
Sebastian Quinn’s taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. And even though everyone says pretty, pint-sized Georgina is there to help, he can’t help thinking she’s hoping to land the final blow–and maybe even his job.
Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top–and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

This is an absolute MUST READ! It’s super angsty and will have you sweating just from their chemistry. Sebastian is SO SWOONY and you will fall in love with him. Georgina hasn’t been lucky in love in the past and Sebastian is determined to prove he’s not all bad boy……or is he?
Georgina is a fixer for companies and that’s her plan to help the men’s magazine who hired her. Sebastian has worked at the magazine since he was an intern but there’s been some bad press because of him. His boss brings in Georgina to turn the magazine around. Can Georgina turn everything around? What will be Sebastian’s response? They are both attracted to each other but will they do anything about it?
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars! I do not normally start off with my rating, but this book definitely warrants it! A true enemies to lovers at it’s finest along with some of the realist characterization that I have ever read! I have not read much by Jessica Hawkins, but let’s just say that is going to change soon!
Sebastian is a Creative Director over Modern Man, a magazine that caters to men and it is failing. His boss decides to bring in Georgina, a consultant that is familiar with helping failing magazines get out of their rut. To say that he sees this as a personal attack, is definitely saying it lightly! Sebastian worked his way up at the magazine and had a huge part to play for it’s success. It worked until it didn’t.
Sebastian is truly an amazing guy, he is caring, alpha, and oh so swoon worthy, when he truly acts himself. Problem is, he had a tragedy recently and that has had him question,
Who is Sebastian Quinn?
Georgina is extremely relatable, she herself went through a traumatic experience recently that also has her questioning,
Who is Georgina Keller?
I can tell you though- she is amazing! Fierce, kind, and the kind of gal I would want to be friends with.
The chemistry between the two of these characters is absolutely insane and I absolutely dug it. You are gonna have to read for yourself how everything plays out because the writing and realism is superb and I would not want to spoil ti for you. All I can say, is you should read this book right away!
My love for Right Where I Want You is up there next to: Dunkin’ Donuts iced coffee and cute dogs. Coincidentally, both play a role in this book.
I swooned hard, and fell harder when it came to Sebastian. I was left feeling empowered by Georgina’s determination in taking back parts of herself that were stripped away. And I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly funny and witty it was. Fun, back-and-forth banter in hate-to-love romances are some of my favorites to read, and this one was perfection!
Also, I can’t forget my love for Justin. He’s one of my favorite secondary characters ever. The jokes he cracked, or…the fears he forcibly had to face have my face breaking out into a smile just thinking about them.
Right Where I Want You was an angsty, smart, heartfelt romance sprinkled with the perfect amount of humor. I couldn’t get enough of Sebastian and Georgina’s electric chemistry! If you love office romances or enemies-to-lovers, then I suggest meeting the team at Modern Man!
Right Where I Want You was definitely one of my favorite reads of 2018 and that I’ve read by Jessica Hawkins. I absolutely loved this book and was captivated from that gorgeous cover all the way to end when I was left wanting more of Georgina and Sebastian. This book was everything that I wanted and more! I was in a book funk before starting, but this book definitely brought me out of it. Jessica Hawkins is known for hitting her readers over the head and leaving them on the edge of their seat and in tears with her writing, but with her latest book, she takes it down a notch in the angst department, but this book definitely had all the feels! Don’t worry though because she still brings us the passion, the emotion, and fluttering in the stomach feelings that she’s good at; just on a lighter scale. She is definitely one of my favorite authors, no matter what trope or genre she writes in. I always look forward to whatever book she ends up bringing us.
Sebastian Quinn is up there in my top 3 book boyfriends that Jessica has introduced us to, but it’s really hard to pick since I love every character she creates. She has a knack for creating characters with such dimension, complexity, and realness that you can’t help but to fall in love with. They are unforgettable and her stories stay with me long after I finish reading. Sebastian and Georgina’s story is no different.
This is one of my favorite enemy to lover romances that I’ve ever read. Sebastian and Georgina completely stole my heart with their witty banter, insecurities, wit, and their push/pull relationship. I loved getting to dig deeper into their personalities and see what really made them tick. I also really loved Justin and I hope he gets his own story…hint hint. This book is everything you are looking for in a MUST READ romance story and I can’t recommend it enough!! I can’t wait to see what else Jessica has in store for us next!
Georgina is a PR “fixer” and that is how she finds herself at Modern Man Magazine. Sebastian has used his bad boy reputation to take Modern Man all the way to the top. Suddenly that same reputation is threatening not only the magazine but his job.
I hated that Georgina felt the need to have her alter ego “George” for business purposes. I’m all for woman using whatever gives them a leg up in the world of business but Georgina felt she had to be someone else in order to compete.
This book had me laughing out loud in places. The characters are well developed and fun to read their interactions. I loved the banter amongst the team as they were brainstorming. This was my first book by Jessica Hawkins but I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
I loved the ride Sebastian and Georgina’s story . I couldn’t put the book down.
This is my favorite type of romance book! When an absolute stud gets brought down to his knees by a woman, it’s perfection. Sebastian is the NYC badboy du jour. Hot as sin and BDE through the roof. Georgina was the perfect woman for him. Beautiful, but not your typical runway-type beauty. Definitely not the type who Sebastian is usually photographed with. When happenstance links them together, their pull and tug is written so spectacularly. It’s not insta love. It’s definitely not easy. But it’s a beautiful mixture of chemistry, lust, humor, drama, angst, and heartbreak. The supporting characters are brilliant and the world that Jessica Hawkins creates makes me want to move to NYC immediately. I highly recommend that you read this book!
Georgina Keller isn’t like other women. She’s a good girl. One who thinks of others before herself. Has a huge heart and has opened her home to a terminal dog, giving him the best life for however long it is. Her job she is thriving, coming into businesses and takes them from just about to close the door to thriving.
The part of her life that she is not successful is relationships. Having recently split with her boyfriend, dating is the least of her worries.
Sebastian Quinn is the ultimate bad boy. Thriving on bringing back to life the magazine he currently works for. Having come from a childhood that didn’t have much, to be in the position he is now, is everything.
The thing is though, what his mother said to him is laying heavy on his heart. Is it time to make a change and make his mother proud of him?
This is a very good story that is written flawlessly. Could definitely see a book in the future for some of the secondary characters! Luciano has a story waiting to be told.

I’m so in love with this story!
Right Where I Want You is exactly the type of story you’ll want to read over and over again after you’ve finished it. And that’s what’s happening to me right now! Sebastian and Georgina stole my heart from the beginning, though I can’t deny I continued to fall in love with them with every turn of the pages. These two are a match made in heaven, obviously in the amazing author’s imagination.
Georgina is such a strong woman, I loved how real her character was portrayed. Her fear of her own insecurities and flaws is vivid, and you are able to relate to it. She is kind, passionate and so funny. And Sebastian? He is absolute perfection. Even though he is stubborn, he is caring, sweet and eveything what dream boyfriends are made of. This couple made me feel all kind of emotions. I laughed and swooned my way through the story. But oh my, I was also hit with a few deep, emotional and touching moments that had me holding my breath and my heartbeat going faster than usual.
I loved that even though the story was not angsty at all, it is filled with depth. Their relationship isn’t easy at all. There are just so many variables in the mix that is hard for them to separate their own personal feelings from the workplace ones. Through the banter they share, their fights and their funny conversations, there is build up in both their personalities and their relationships.
And let’s not forget about how good Georgina and Sebastian were with Bruno, her big wonderful and loving dog. This book reminded me of every amazing aspect of being a dog owner, and a little of the pain that comes with it, as he becomes an important loved one.
Magnificent, delightfully swoony and captivating.
Sebastian and Georgina were amazing from the start. I loved their chemistry starting at the coffee shop and reading them progress thru the book was addicting. Jessica’s writing always has me hooked. I definitely need more cinnamon
“ , , .”
by Jessica Hawkins was EVERYTHING I thought it would be, and yet, it was so much more! Ms. Hawkins is known for hitting her readers with the heavy angst, but with her latest standalone, she takes a step back from the angst factor a bit. Don’t let that fool you, my friends. She still brings the passion, the emotion, the butterfly-inducing romance…it’s just on a lighter scale, so you can breathe easy. For me, it doesn’t matter what genre, what trope she gives us, the emotional impact ends up being the same. Her stories resonate with me in a way that’s hard to describe. She’s one of a kind, and one of my all time favorite romance writers.
It’s on the edge of my tongue to say that Sebastian Quinn is my favorite hero of hers, but it’s just too hard, because I love them all! Her characters have such dimension and complexity and they have no problems carving out a piece of my heart at the end of their stories. They are simply unforgettable…every single one of them.
This is one of my favorite enemies-to-lovers romances of the year and Sebastian and Georgina absolutely stole my heart with their banter, wit, and push/pull dynamic. It’s smart. It’s sassy. It’s everything you could ever want in a MUST READ ROMANCE!

There was simply so much to love about this book. The plot is fun and well written, the characters are likable, the chemistry steamy and the emotions deep and powerful. This workplace romance offers a love/hate relationship with plenty of sparks and steam. Georgina and Sebastian were both complex characters and were exceptionally relatable. Both had painful baggage from their respective pasts that continued to play a huge part in their now. There is drama, humor and heat. The cast of secondary characters is wonderful and adds so much to this book. The emotions in this book are what really makes it stand out. With a clever blend of desire and resistance, sweet romance and steamy passion, self-doubt and strength, laughter and tears and grief and hope, this is a book that will easily capture your heart. A terrific read!!
Right Where I Want You by Jessica Hawkins is a standalone, contemporary, slow burn, enemies to lovers, romantic comedy, office romance told in dual POV.
When publishing consultant and PR specialist, Georgina “George” Keller, accepts an 8-week assignment to refine the image of Modern Man magazine, creative director, Sebastian Quinn, refuses to give over control. Having carefully crafted the image that made Modern Man a success, he refuses to let some stranger come in and ruin everything by making a bunch of changes.
Tasked with co-managing alongside George, Sebastian determines to fight her every step of the way. Despite his irritation with her presence, he is confused and intrigued by the seemingly contradictory sides of Georgina’s personality. He’s also overwhelmingly attracted to her which only serves to irritate him further – and the feeling is mutual.
This is my first Jessica Hawkins book and I absolutely loved it. The characters were relatable, likeable, fully fleshed out, complex, and realistic. Both Georgina and Sebastian were very different than the facades they put on for work. They each had a mask or image they portrayed for professional purposes that was not at all like the true person underneath it all.
I loved the chemistry between Sebastian and Georgina that simmered beneath the surface from the start, burning hotter and eventually catching fire. Their witty banter was fantastic! I also loved the secondary character of Justin who brought humor with each appearance.
This was a super fun read! Sweet, sexy, romantic and full of laughs. Not only is this a great love story, but underneath it all is a beautiful message about identity – about finding yourself, loving yourself and being true to who you really are. I highly recommend it!

5 Stars!
Georgina Keller is a smart, savvy businesswoman living in New York. She’s fierce when it comes to her job as a PR specialist. She’s a fixer who’s passionate about problem solving, and is known as the best. Her latest project is to work with a popular men’s lifestyle magazine and help to polish up their brand and improve their image. She’s been hired to help them shed their bad boy image, but not everyone welcomes her with open arms.
Sebastian Quinn is the creative director at Modern Man. He’s built his career, and made the magazine what it is today. He was well known in the publishing world as a notorious playboy. People envied him and wanted to be him, but lately his reputation was hurting him more than it was helping him when his magazine is under attack and his job is in jeopardy. His routine is disrupted when his boss hires what he views to be a glorified babysitter.
Can Georgina and Sebastian work together without driving each other crazy? She’s a gorgeous thorn in his side. He’s attracted to her, but acting on it wasn’t an option. Georgina is recovering from a break up that shook her confidence, and she’s not about to let another man push her around in any way. The office gets heated as these two clash. Sexual tension and chemistry overflow as passion ignites. Sebastian’s a distraction she doesn’t need, but she’s drawn to him. He challenges her and pushes her out of her comfort zone. Sebastian is feeling so much, and finds himself wanting more. Is he ready to ditch the role he no longer fits for something real?
I loved this enemies to lovers workplace romance! It’s a sexy story full of emotion and angst. It’s packed with humorous banter, great office friendships, and beautiful love. I also adored the side characters, and would love a book for Justin! As usual Jessica Hawkins created another swoony man for me to fall for. Sebastian is everything I love in a book boyfriend!
This book wasn’t quite what I expected. I love Jessica Hawkins’s books – the angst, the feels. This book had that, but it also had laughs. Seriously, I laughed so much in this book. The banter between Sebastian and Georgina was fantastic, and the side characters were so great.
There was definitely an immediate connection between these two. They butted heads and got on each other’s nerves. Georgina’s fiery attitude and Sebastian’s stubbornness made for many interesting interactions. Both characters needed time to find themselves, and each showed both sides of themselves to each other, which only ended up making their journey more difficult to negotiate.
While it was difficult to love either Sebastian or Georgiana at the very beginning of the story, once the reasoning for their behaviors came out, my heart was aching for the both of them. I loved these two together. I loved their chemistry and their banter. I loved the men of Modern Men, Luciano, Bruno and Opal. This was an HEA I was so happy for, and I was sad to see the story end.
Jessica is giving readers an amazing present this holiday season! From its gorgeous wrapping to the heartwarming story of Georgina and Sebastian, everything about this book felt like a gift. This enemies to lovers read was the perfect combination of push and pull, hate and love, sexy and sweet.
The book starts off with a bang, with Georgina and Sebastian having an encounter in a coffee shop that goes South pretty quickly. Then just a short time later, they meet again, this time in the office, with Sebastian finding out that Georgina, aka George Keller is there to help pull his struggling magazine back from the brink of failure.
Talk about a recipe for disaster! Or is it the perfect recipe for two people who are inherently good but have had to adopt a public persona completely opposite of their true selves, to finally find “the one”?
I totally identified with Georgina. She’s a woman who is suffering some serious insecurities brought on by a douchebag ex-boyfriend. But at work, she is “George” a take charge, confident consultant who helps struggling companies become successful again. Her job is made more difficult when Sebastian walks in the room, the same guy she was just swooning over in the coffee shop until he opened his mouth and ruined the moment.
Sebastian certainly did not start out making the job easy for Georgina! But who can blame him, he’s convinced his job is on the line. I empathized with him a lot, but I also wanted to throttle him for the way he was treating Georgina. Until…he finally got with the program. Then he turned into a very swoony, sexy, all around yummy man who I would not turn away if he accidentally knocked on my door.
I loved the push and pull between Georgina and Sebastian. I loved how Jessica made a large part of Georgina’s life revolve around her beloved dog Brutus. The secondary characters were amazing as well, there’s one particular character that I would love see get their own book.
Yes, this story is a romance, but I love how Jessica seamlessly wove some serious issues into the fabric of Georgina and Sebastian’s characters. They have both dealt with some serious things that have changed the way they think and feel, and it was very heartwarming to see how both characters worked so hard to help the other work through those issues.
If you love a good office romance combined with an enemies to lovers story, you are going to love this book. This isn’t my favorite genre, but I loved this story so hard! And as I mentioned at the beginning, the cover is absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to hold this paperback in my hands!
Jessica Hawkins….oh my goodness! You always seem to give me what I need, when I need it and Right Where I Want You is no exception. This book was a yummy, delicious treat, filled with heart, witty banter, excellent secondary characters and Bruno the lovable Great Dane. With bustling vibrant, New York City as the backdrop, Jessica Hawkins gives us more than just a fun, flirty enemies to lovers read. Right Where I Want You, delves deeper than that. Sebastian and Georgina are both fighting their own inner struggles and despite their differences are more similar than they know. If you are looking for an office romance with a enemies to lovers tilt, that will leave you wanting more and rooting for their HEA then you should definitely check out this new one by Jessica Hawkins. You will not be disappointed.

Georgina and Sebastian meet over coffee. And, spilled coffee, and mean customers, and tears. Usually, when a public encounter goes this badly, you get to walk away from it and pretend it never happened. Sometimes, though, in real life (and more often admittedly in books) the other part of the embarrassing encounter is someone who is now a part of your life, in a way that you are not able to easily remove.
Sebastian has run Modern Man for years. He pulled it from the brink of disaster, and now it is back to glory. Or it was. Things in his personal life changed, and with that change, he found that he was willing to let the magazine slip a little and not really care all that much about the fact that it was doing so…even though, I think he knew it was happening, he just didn’t have it in himself to work that hard, again, to bring it back.
Georgina is brought in as a consultant. To put the magazine, and it’s team, back on track and to get them back to a functioning team. But, as she is dealing with the after effects of a devastating break up, the only thing that she has together in any real way is her work.
When Sebastian challenges her at work, sparks fly and a line is drawn. Hate is on one side of the line, love on the other…and they are both firmly on the “hate” side of the line. The majority of the book is a slow burn flirtation with this line, with crtossing it, with pretending they don’t want to, with wondering if they have already and wondering how the other feels. Until the line is gine…and in such a clever way that you know what is happening, but that gives both of them a chance to see if this is what they want. I loved this, as it also lets the reader in on the part of the story where they each realize that what is between them is real, and it is not going anywhere, and that neither of them want it to.
This book is about people. People who let the things in their lives change who they are, how they react; and the realization that those changes, while honest at the time, may not be permanent and may not lead them to make a permanent change. Life, and it’s lessons, are sometimes guidelines and sometimes the lessons are there to put you on a new path entirely. And, figuring out which you are faced with can sometimes take a while.
Georgina and Sebastian, in different ways, have things that have happened in their past that are holding them back, that changes them and how they react. That alter who they are, how they trust, and where they are willing to go. But, are these changes the permanent kind or the type that give you guidance for the next phase of your life? What if, as you live, a change that seemed permanent turns out to be one that you needed to work through, and then let go?
Sometimes, a life lesson exists to wake you up, to show you a different path, and to then be let go once you have taken a different path…because, as you travel down that path, you realize that the lesson you learned in one situation becomes nuanced in others. Kindness becomes compassion, being willing to give of yourself to those you love becomes love. Your big heart, the one that is so easily broken is where you find home with someone who sees the love you have to give.
This. This is what this book is about. Yes, you have the romance, you have the characters you adore, the hot sexy scenes…but you also have the kind of book that sneaks up on you and makes you cry and then leaves you as happy as 2 dogs, cheerfully sunning themselves on the lawn.
Jessica Hawkins is a favorite of mine. Her writing is angsty, and it breaks your heart, it makes you cry. More than once as I was reading a line in the book stood out to me enough that I had to pause to read it again.
I loved and recommend this title.
Oh this book, where do I begin?! I loved it. Georgina and Sebastian compliment each other nicely but before they get to a place of more than friends, heck more than coworkers, they go through growing pains. I laughed out loud a few times. I love Justin as well, he’s a perfect friend and I hope he gets his own book!
