There’s a thin line between love and hate . . . and it cuts right through the middle of their office.
Bad boys run right over good girls like Georgina Keller, but after a confidence-shattering breakup, she’s determined not to let anyone at her new workplace push her around. Especially not the brooding creative director, a “bad boy of publishing” who’s made it clear she’s enemy #1.
Sebastian Quinn’s taste for fast cars, late nights, and beautiful women may have gotten him to the top of a leading New York magazine, but the reputation that made him is suddenly threatening to end his career. And even though everyone says pretty, pint-sized Georgina is there to help, he can’t help thinking she’s hoping to land the final blow–and maybe even his job.
Georgina can help Modern Man shed its bad reputation, but in order to do that, she’ll have to start at the top–and no amount of rakish charm or inconvenient attraction will distract her.

First let me start by saying I loved this book. It is an amazing office romance, slow burn, enemies to lovers story. It basically checks all the boxes for me! Sebastian and Georgina are such great and well developed characters that I became so invested in their story. I really tried to stretch out my reading of it so it wouldn’t end.
The characters have chemistry, the story has heat and humor and there is such great banter that I found myself rereading certain lines just to really digest the prose. Jessica has created another great story that I know I will be reading again!
One of my most anticipated books of the year. I simply love Jessica Hawkins writing and passionate story telling. Right Where I Want You tore at my heart and once I got to know these characters I just couldn’t stop reading. A heroine that I can relate to so much, Georgina and her love for her adorable Bruno, the Great Dane stole my heart. I think Jessica Hawkins gave us a realistic heroine with traits that professional women can identify so much. I know I did. And Sebastian or better say Sebastián with the accent mark. The character development we see in this hero is outstanding. He tug at my emotions, made me swoon, cry, laugh and everything I love to feel from a hero.
Jessica also gave us unforgettable secondary characters here which i’m very curious to learn more about such as Justin who made me laugh so much with his bromance to Sebastian. Another winner, another book hangover from this talented author.
Jessica Hawkins has done it again!! I was hooked from the beginning. I knew there was more to Sebastian, and it truly came out with his love for Georgina.
“When’s the last time you were properly kissed?”
“If this is proper? Never.”
I want to read their next chapter in life..
I have read every Jessica Hawkins book and none of the heroes come close to knocking David Dylan off his pedestal until…. Sebastian Quinn. Right Where I Want You is the perfect romance to end 2018. It’s like watching your favorite Tom Hanks-Meg Ryan romantic comedy. Sebastian and Georgina are completely relatable; their lives, their problems, their relationship… it all seemed so natural and believable. The plot is pretty fast paced for a slow-burn; I was hooked almost from the very beginning and I wasn’t satisfied until the very end. I’m still not satisfied actually; I’d love more Georgina and Sebastian!! Thank you Queen of Angst for this perfect romance!
I love romances that go from hate to love, throw in the whole working together and I’m all over it.
Sebastian and Georgina don’t get off to a good start when Georgina is brought in to help get the magazine back to the top and Sebastian feels as though his toes are been stepped on. Everything about these two is absolute perfection. Their banter and chemistry and the depth of their character drew me in and quickly had me hooked. You get a real feel for the true person behind both Sebastian and George and the more I got to know them, the more I could relate to them which made them really easy to like. There’s also some brilliant supporting characters that I’d love to see more of (hint, hint).
This is another brilliant book from Ms Hawkins. It made me laugh, it made me swoon and it completely sucked me in, I couldn’t put this book down.
What a change of pace for Jessica Hawkins, and boy did she knock it out of the park! Full of humor and quick banter that was off the charts, I found myself literally laughing out loud. It read like my favorite Rom-Com films.
An easy, light read with a lot of heart, making it the perfect book to crawl up with.
Ya’ll this book!!! Georgina and Sebastian could have the ultimate meet cute but then it all goes wrong and she has to show up to her new job and find…Sebastian!!
This book had me laughing out loud so many times, trust me when I say we will be begging Jessica for Justin to get his own book. Luciano is the perfect side kick for Georgina and two sweet pups steal several scenes.
This book has great writing, some angst that I knew was coming and made my heart contract, and lots of love to be found. Jessica Hawkins will give you a new book boyfriend to love!
Yes! A new series from Jessica Hawkins. I first read her last year when I discovered the Something In the Way books. This one has a nice NYC vibe, too:
A new witty workplace romance standalone from USA Today bestselling author Jessica Hawkins!
enemies-to-lovers banter
loads of sexual tension
swoons & laughs
hero in a suit
cute quirky heroine
got that old school rom-com feel
I love a good enemies to lovers romance, add that in that they are co workers, yup steam all over the place. The perfect read right now when you want something sexy!
I freaking loved this book! Office romances are always one of my faves, and Jessica Hawkins nailed it!
Jessica Hawkins’ writing is superb, whether it’s an angsty coming of age or an erotic mind-bender. Or, as in her latest offering, a swoony workplace rom com fraught with sexual tension and witty banter. RIGHT WHERE I WANT YOU truly demonstrates Jessica’s range as a writer. I’m so impressed by her storytelling and the yumminess she can pour into a hero! Sebastian!!! Fine in a suit alert!! Add in the dog date, and the enemies-to-lovers trope, and I’m S-O-L-D!!!
Who doesn’t love a good workplace rom-com? This one has it all: a sexy, swoony hero, lots of sexual tension, witty banter…seriously, just check it out for yourself.
I love this office romance and enemies to lovers story. Sebastian and Georgia are both wonderful characters. This story is beautifully written. It’s sexy, fun and heartwarming. The Epilogue is perfect. Now, I can’t wait to listen to this story on audiobook, because, this story deserves a second reading. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to characterize this story. It definitely has an enemies to lovers theme in the beginning. But, the story itself is kind of unique. A men’s magazine company brings in a woman to fix them. In a time when women are still struggling to be equal, the timing of this book is perfect. Georgina is just like any of us. She rules at what she does, yet she has that little voice that tells her that she is not enough. She resigns herself to find all of her value in her work and spending her downtime with her dog, some ice cream and TV. Until she meets Sebastian, who happens to be the #1 guy at Modern Man who doesn’t think he needs any of her help. So, you can imagine the tension and drama that ensues. And while these two characters are captivating, the secondary characters add so much laughter and tenderness. All around, this story will keep you glued to the pages and leave your heart warm. And you get to experience one of the best dates ever!
Jessica Hawkins is one of my go to authors; she always delivers a book that I don’t want to put down. Right Where I Want You was a fun enemies to lovers story. The perfect read to end 2018.
Georgina is a smart businesswoman living in New York. She is a pro at work but has a hard time transferring that to her personal life. She is hired by a men’s magazine to help improve their brand. The men are thrown for a loop when a woman is brought in to help them. She isn’t exactly welcomed but she doesn’t let that bother her. She is there to do a job not make friends.
Sebastian has run the magazine for years and doesn’t want anyone brought in. He made the magazine what it is today and is well known in the publishing world. After the magazine is under attack he at risk of losing his job if they can’t clean up the brand of the magazine.
These two have off the charts chemistry and are the cutest. Will they be able to work together and deny the attraction? I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers office romance. Sebastian just may be my new favorite hero of Jessica’s. I can’t wait for more her work. I highly recommend this book!
My heart is so full and I am still smiling after this feel good read. Jessica Hawkins hit this one out of the park and wrote the sweetest story about Sebastian and Georgina. There were so many times I found myself chuckling and laughing out loud with the banter between these two characters. And then throw in Justin (who needs his own book now) and his sarcasm and it was laughing good for the soul. The build up and tension between these two characters was so well written and had me changing pages quickly just to see if it was time for the walls to crumble yet.
The author did a great job letting these two fight their internal demons/struggles while realizing how much easier it is to have help. What a way to end 2018 and this will be definitely be a reread in 2019
This book has it all! It made me swoon right from the start along with making me mad at the mysterious man who insulted our heroine. It made me laugh at things that happen with an oversized dog and insults well timed. It made me introspective at how we view ourselves and how others view us. It made me sad at how our view on life and death can hold us back. And last but not least, it made me believe that love can conquer all that and more. Sebastian and Georgina have become one of my favorite reads of this year.
Georgina and Sebastian have truly sizzling chemistry.
From their first meeting…to the most steamy interactions, their attraction practically jumps from the pages at you.
Georgina is the strong willed woman that every female strives to be. Accomplished, honest, loyal to herself and her life goals…and Sebastian is the one person that challenges her at every turn.
From his charm, good looks, and dirty words…Sebastian becomes Georgina’s kryptonite from the moment she meets him…on his knees.
Wonderfully written story that draws you in from the first page, and keeps you enticed and wanting more right up until “the end”.
5 Stuff-of-dreams stars!
What an amazing, sexy and heartfelt read!
“She was small but mighty, ambitious but not malicious, and feisty with a streak of sweet.”
Troubleshooter, Georgina Keller, is fully armed and prepared for her first day joining the male-dominated creative team at lifestyle magazine, Modern Man. What she’s not prepared for is Sebastian Quinn’s panty-dropping good looks and resentful hostility. Renowned for his bad boy ways and sexist bias, she’s unprepared for her attraction to him and she has to dig deep to put aside her natural doormat tendencies to be the strong, professional business woman that she is. However, the more she gets to know him, the more she realises that there’s more to him than meets the eye.
“Was Sebastian more than the image he projected, or was he an actual bad boy to handle with caution?”
Modern Man is Sebastian’s life’s work. He IS Modern Man. Knowing his job is possibly on the line, he begrudgingly works alongside Georgina. Unfortunately, his pesky attraction to her is something else entirely, and he finds himself becoming totally beguiled by her and her kind, sweet ways. And, don’t even get him started on her endless physical attributes.
“You have all these little f*cking freckles…It’s like someone sprinkled you with cinnamon to serve you up as breakfast.”
Absolutely loved this story! The chemistry between Sebastian and Georgina was electric and tense. Sebastian was just so hungry for her! His can’t help but be fascinated by the dichotomy that is Georgina Keller. On one hand, she’s meek and sweet, and on the other, she’s something of a ballbuster. Sebastian, himself, is not quite what he portrays, and I loved watching Georgina unravelling him and his vulnerabilities.
Fabulous, hot, and heartfelt! Another winner from this author.
5 Dunkin’ + cinnamon buns stars!
What do I normally think of when I think about Jessica Hawkins writing? Angsty AF, which suits me just fine. Steamy sex scenes, which again, suits me just fine, haha! And impossible situations which loops back to angsty AF.
When I heard this was going to be a little lighter, maybe a little like a romcom, I was immediately excited and nervous. Let me just say this now, there was no need to be nervous, girl NAILED IT!
I smiled, I swooned, I laughed out loud, and most of all, I felt these characters and their plight in my heart. This story is strongly character driven, the story embodies the traits the two main characters are trying to work through, and it works so well. The side characters, two of which are dogs, are fantastic! I really enjoyed it!
