The author gives us another touching story in this series. This time, the story belongs to Harley Miller-Jones and Jack Freistatt.
Harley is an artist whose commercial products are expanding. She has decided to return to her hometown to find a house now that she will be adopting a baby.
Jack, a widower with twins, has returned as well, after 5 years in New Zealand. Jack and Harley were friends in their youth and sweethearts as they got older, much to his mother’s wishes. He comes from an affluent family and his mother always thought Harley, was beneath him . Thus creating multiple obstacles to stop their friendship and finally succeeded.
Now they are both back in town. The sparks are still alive, but so are the hurts, distrust and betrayals of the past.
It’s a touching story about family, forgiveness, trust, second chances , hope and love.
Another engaging book in this series. Looking forward to what else Ms. Heyford has in store for us.

Right All Along is the third in the Willamette Valley series but can be read as a stand alone. This is a story of first love getting a second chance and overcoming past hurts. Harley grew up in a very loving, unconventional home in which she was allowed to be a kid and have adventures. She and Jack were fast friends from grade school and she believed that they would always be together but just after high school, he married Emily and had twins. Heartbroken, she moved away and made her passion for drawing into a wonderful career. Growing up, she always loved the Victorian on the hill and now she has the opportunity to buy it so she moves back home. Ever since Jack’s father died when he was a teenager, his mother has been a controlling force in his life, helping him to understand the family business, telling him who he should associate with and how to raise his twin daughters now that he is a widower. Now that he is back in Ribbon Ridge, he is starting to rekindle his friendship with Harley but past hurts and other secrets threaten to again destroy their budding feelings. The story that follows will entertain and delight until the very last page. The characters are relatable and realistic, the secondary characters add to the enjoyment of the story.
Right All Along by Heather Heyford
A Willamette Valley Romance #3
Mixed feelings on this one…love this author and all of the previous books I have read by her but thought that Jack Friestatt was a bit of a wimp and mama’s boy. This is a second chance romance for Jack and Harley Miller-Jones. They were friends for years then very close in high school only to find that their dreams of a future together were taken from them…and neither really realized how badly they were treated till almost the end of the book.
Did I enjoy this book? Yes
Did I find it believable? For the most part
Do I want to read more by this author? Definitely
Even though I cannot see myself in Harley I did enjoy this book. I might be able to see how Jack could be so malleable but at the same time if he had been a bit stronger…well…that wasn’t possible in this book but I did want to give him a talking to a few times. His mother? I wanted to do more than give her a talking to even when I heard her backstory!
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books – Lyrical Press for the ARC – This is my honest review.
