Awkwardland. It’s where I live. And I’m the president, mayor, and sole citizen. Reese is living her safest life. This polymath is tired of trying to fit in with a small town that never knows what to do with her. Her absentee family may have forced her into dorm life for her own good, but she goes from her classes to her room and back—no parties, no dates, and no drawing attention. Until one noisy … attention.
Until one noisy night, when Reese gets kicked out of her dorm.
Fitz is living his okayest life. He’s on his own to pay for college, but he’s scraping by with an athletic scholarship and free rent with a friend. If he can keep it together, he’s on track to graduate with a useful degree, especially now that he’s finally said goodbye to his drama-loving ex-girlfriend.
Until one night, when she gets him kicked out of his house.
What happens when there’s one single room left for rent in the entire town and two people who desperately need it? A merrymaking, money-seeking landlord arrives and throws them into a series of ridorkulous challenges to compete for it, of course. It’s the dorky duckling versus the BMOC.
The winner will get a place to live—but the loser may just forfeit their heart.

Captivating story of growing love!
I loved this rom come and I don’t usually read many but this one was very enjoyable.
This book is very well written. It’s funny, sweet, smart and original. The romance has the right pace and fits perfectly in the whole story.
All characters are pretty likeable, especially Jude that is my favorite.
This is my first book by this author and it won’t be the last one.
Great reading!
Absolutely loved this story! It’s witty, charming and full of crazy tidbits of trivia. Nice clean romance that isn’t overpowered by the physical aspects of a relationship.
There is a whole cast of real and amazing characters. I loved how Fitz and Reese developed and grew through the story.
Oh my goodness I love this book so much it had me laughing so hard from the very beginning! I love all the characters well except for Abby but that’s okay lol I hope she gets the help she needs. I really don’t want the two main characters story to end even though it was a great ending. I’m so excited to continue reading this series and more books by this author!!! 🙂
I feel seen!
While I may not be a genius like Reese, I’ve got the awkward down pat. 😀 I really liked the characters, not only Reese and Fitz, but Jude and Beast and Annabel as well, and the Bedlam challenges were a lot of fun.
Though, like other reviewers have mentioned before, I too found the ending a bit too abrupt. I would have liked a bit more.
I’m looking forward to reading the other books in this series!
I enjoy being exposed to “new-to-me” authors. According to my Goodreads listing I found Mary Frame in September 2015. I am pretty sure that her book “Imperfect Chemistry was free for a short time and I picked it up. That is a great way to discover new authors (to you). I loved her writing style, her humor and her characters. I was hooked after the first book and then read every other books she released.
It took me a while to get to a point to read Ridorkulous. I had a large TBR (to be read) stack and still have quite a few books waiting for me to get to them. I wanted to read this book, so I could jump into the series and be ready for the next book in this series, Geektastic, which will be released on October 31, 2019.
When I began to read Ridorkulous, it was a feeling like coming home. I was thinking, gosh I missed reading Mary Frame’s books. Her books flow so easily, take you along for a fantastic journey and tug at your emotions.
The characters of Reese, a super smart, sheltered, reclusive, beautiful inside & out female and Fitz, a striking gorgeous, confident, well liked guy are molded to perfection.
These are two people that normally would never have interacted. Their relationship begins very awkwardly and builds on from that moment to get even more awkward, but as romance stories go, they find attraction and a happily ever after. I especially like friendship to romance stories, where relationships are slowly built, before any physical action takes place. This is one of those stories. I loved both of these characters so much. The way that Ms. Frame made the characters change from adversaries to friends was very realistic.
I am looking forward to continuing the series in a few weeks when Geektastic is released!
Fitz and Reese had a bit of a slow burn. Fitz being able to see Reese come out of her shell and participate in life was everything. The situation they managed to get themselves into was very Ridorkulous. As was the cast of secondary characters! Just missed 5 stars because I thought the ending was a bit abrupt.
A lot of humor and tenderness
I loved this story, that is, the story, the characters and the often hilarious situations, spiced up with a touch of romance that intensifies over the pages.
How to get a student room in a saturated city for housing: challenge the candidates!
The story is funny offbeat, with quite surprising reactions around the two participants Reese and Fitz, who are two kind catapulted in this madness by accident and victims of the mistakes of others. Because of this, they find themselves having to fight to get a room at Jude, whose house is used for parties and for 2 weeks, they will be the two fighters in quite crazy challenges. Slowly, but surely they discover themselves : he is an athlete and she is a geek who flees others and tries to be invisible (but it becomes complicated over the challenges).
I am looking forward to Book 2, which will tell the story of Annabel (Fitz’s sister) and Jude: they are worse than Fitz and Reese (who are victims) because they are the ones who face each other or unite with each other to organize the calvary of Reese and Fitz.

This story has everything going for it: a quirky heroine and a stand-up hunk who knows a good thing when he sees it. The story was witty and engaging. Happy reading!
When Reese is kicked out of her dorm for reasons that have nothing to do with anything she did wrong, she finds the last housing available. Unfortunately, she has to compete with Fitz for that room. What’s a dorky girl to do when faced with the popular athlete?
Ridorkulous was refreshing fun, cute and charming. I loved Reese and Fitz together! Not only were they adorable together, but I loved how different their story was from the stuff I normally read. If you like your romances with dorky but adorableness, I definitely recommend you 1-click Ridorkulous today.
Short review. Unusual but quirky sweet love story. Reese and Fitz are likable characters and have good chemistry, the secondary characters add a fun layer to the story. I already can’t wait to read the next book in this new series.
Loved reading this book. I was not sure I was going to like this because it was a young adult book. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the main characters Reese and Fitz were portrayed as emotionally normal growing human beings. If there ever was a story to match the TV series the Odd Couple, this book is it and Reese and Fitz fit the bill. This is an entertaining and fun story and I enjoyed it very much. I highly recommend it. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ll have to be honest, I wasn’t so sure I would have liked this book. The characters seemed a bit too strict in the beginning but once you start to roll with them they easily suck you in and grow on you in a flash.
I love Reese, her shy and dorky side is just adorable. She is just scared of anything and everything even thought she’s always the smartest one around but nevertheless she sticks up for herself when she needs to find a new place to live in. And Fitz is just so sweet in his constant need to protect everyone he cares about even if it means sabotaging himself in the process. Really glad how they both grew during the weirdest tasks ever that Jude made them undertake to win the last available room on campus.
Anxiously awaiting Jude and Annabelle’s story now!
This book had me laughing hysterically!!! Reece was perfection! She was shy, quirky, and super smart. I was horrified at what was going on in her dorm room! Fitz took a little bit to warm up to. I initially felt so bad for him, then I was angry at how he treated Reece.
I loved, LOVED, Reece’s granny!! I was so happy when Reece started to show some backbone! This book was filled with slow simmering sexual tension, and then it just exploded!!!
I’m dying to find out what happens with Jude & Annabel, and super curious about Beast!

If you want something different, this is it! It’s humorous, romantic and quirky! A romance loving hero, a genius heroin, crazy ex girlfriend, granny with a shotgun! This book has lots of southern charm, outstanding read, well worth five stars!
