Why the hell did I get involved with my best friends brother? It was time to make a choice. Do I follow my head or my heart? The guy I was dating seemed perfect on paper. Good looking, well-educated, and from a wealthy family. So, why did I feel sick when he was about to propose? When I found out that my best friend’s brother had lied and said we were married, why didn’t I run the other way? I … best friend’s brother had lied and said we were married, why didn’t I run the other way?
I guess I just can’t resist a man in uniform. This guy has got it going on… He’s dashing, sexy and strong! The kind of guy you’d like to take for a ride. The ride of a lifetime, that is.
.
Do I keep up the ruse and pretend to be his wife? Or do I let this pilot crash and burn?

He makes an offer for her to be his fake wife and she can stay with him in Alabama. Everything is going according to plan until someone throws a monkey wrench in the works. What do they do now? Nicely written and very enjoyable read.

Jillian Riley has another hit on her hands all of her books are just great fun reads that you can associate with and they have enough steam to keep you thoroughly entertained and this book is no exception
Dash had a crush on his twin sisters best friend and when he joined the air force after his parents delivered and ultimatum about going somewhere in life he told a little white lie to his CO he said that he was married to Kelly. Now he is u to attend Officer School but his CO wants to meet his wife Kelly is now a successful lawyer and is dating a man that she feels something is missing with so when Dash comes clean and confesses everything to her and asks her to pretend to be his wife she sees it has a chance t straighten out her life When you put to people who have always crushed on each other together as husband and wife you now what is going to happen Is this pretend marriage going to become oh so real You will have to read to see
Never, ever lie on your application to the military
Six years ago Pete was a slacker living in his parent’s basement when they gave him an ultimatum, college, work or the military. Thinking he’ll pull one over them, Pete lies on his Air Force application that he’s married. He thinks he’ll be kicked out because of the lie. On top of that he uses his sister’s best friend Kelly as his “wife”.
Fast forward and Pete, now called Dash because of a little episode of food poisoning, loves the Air Force and wants to go to OTC. The only catch is his CO wants to meet his wife first. What to do?
Kelly’s life seems to be on track. She works in a law office and is planning to go to law school. And she’s dating a nice guy who’s going to be a lawyer soon. The only problem is she’s not sure of either school or the guy. So when she’s let go when her company closes but receives a nice severance package, she thinks this is the time for new beginnings. Then Dash shows up at her door.
Kelly’s best friend is Dash’s twin sister, and while they didn’t know it at the time, Dash and Kelly each had a crush on the other when they were teens.
Dash’s lie about being married to Kelly (when he signed up for the Air Force) finally catches up with him when his CO wants to meet her before giving Dash a recommendation for Officer Training School.
Kelly is at a point in her life where she has decisions to make about a boyfriend she’s not that into anymore and whether she really wants to go to law school.
By going to Alabama to be Dash’s fake wife, Kelly is able to realize what she wants in her love life and her future career, and she and Dash find “pretending” to be in love is easier than they imagined.
Riding the Pilot keeps you entertained with its strong writing, warm and funny H & h, the right amount of family drama and work stress, and an ex that won’t stay in the past where he belongs.

I could not put this story down! Loved every page of this friends to lovers book! However its not in the way you would think. Lieing on a military application comes back to bite Dash in the butt! However when he goes home to get his “wife” he gets more than he could have imagined. 2 friends with hearts made for each other, a crazy Curt being dumped, and one of the best twin sisters a guy could ask for, this story will make you laugh and clench your heart. I absolutely loved this book!! Great writing!!

I don’t often want to give 6 stars to books but in this case, I wish I could. I loved this story. The characters were great. The author really lets you get to know them and shows the many sides of their personalities. Which makes the story so great, I think. The cast of supporting characters are just as good as the main characters.
The story of Kelly and Dash is sweet and romantic! I liked how, although there is drama and surprised, the author have written it in such a way that it does not feel heavy or dark, but things are dealth with in a calmer way even if every issue that comes up could have very serious consequences. I really enjoyed Kelly and Dashs story and the people around them were great supporting caracters!

Talk about unconventional relationship? I find it funny to have a man fake one small detail and inadvertently started a chain reaction, which turned out to be an awesome adventure. It was truly an enjoyable read!

I really enjoyed this story. Especially how it portrayed Dash as a young man. Jillian got it exactly right. Kelly is such an easy going all around great character. I loved the chemistry, passion, and small amount of intrigue.

This was a really good fake marriage story. Dash was a lazy teenage boy who has no desire to leave his parents home. With an ultimatum from them he joined the military to get them off his back, only to lie on the application to hopefully get rejected. When that didn’t happen he served for many years before that lie came back to haunt him. With the generous help from his old crush they worked together to prove their fake marriage was legit. The truth finally comes out and real love prevails. It was an really good story and worth the read.

Helping her best friends brother until it turns serious Dash was a screwup in his early twenties until his parents tell to go to school, get a job or join the military. He picked the military and when he fibbed on the application that he was married to Kelly his sister best friend hoping to get it through out but it didn’t. Now six years later he’s up for promotion but his superior wants to meet his wife. He’d forgotten but goes back home to see if she’d help him. Kelly in the mean time has a boyfriend that wants to pop the question but she’s doesn’t feel that marriage is right for them. Dash asks her for help and explains and she agrees to help but when she tries to convince her boyfriend that they’re over he doesn’t accept it. Will Kelly help Dash and what about the feelings that is between them?

This book was fast paced and fun to read. It was light-hearted and even with some angst ridden parts it was a very warm loving. Lies always come back to bite you in the . . . assets. even if they are minor ones with no maliciousness intended. The characters were very believable and likable the way that they dealt with each other and the fallout of the initial lie. I would highly recommend this book for your personal library.
I couldn’t help but love this fake it til ya make it romance. A unique turn to the whole fake finance story line which I found fun and refreshing! Well written and great story flow which made this a quicker read for me since I just couldn’t put it down. Loved the characters and the chemistry! The romance and the HEA!
Can’t wait for more!

From friends to lovers. What a great romance. Kelly has been Dash’s little sisters best friends since high school. Dash is in trouble from something he did six years ago and needs Kelly’s help. She agrees to help him and things go haywire from there. Her ex just won’t take no for an answer because he doesn’t want to lose her. Great book. There are a lot of side stories going on, too, but that just makes the plot all that much better. I really enjoyed it.
I thought when I first started reading Riding the Pilot it was just going to be another typical fake marriage book. But surprisingly it was refreshing and funnh.
The fact that Pete Dash Gordon forgot that he lied on his application hoping to be denied by the military, was funny when his Commander wanted to meet the missing wife Kelly Jennings.
Dash went home to confess to Kelly what he did. He hated going home because of his parents and their beliefs about what he should be doing.
Throughout the book I had moments when I laughed out loud and others when I was afraid for both Kelly and his sister Diane. It had a good plot line and story from three different perspectives.
