This is a powerful book! Not only is it a great romance, but it lets you in to a world that has been wrecked by nature. A true small town romance. A billionaire to be wary of. You will come to care about the people of Port. St. Joe, their way of life, the town itself. I loved this book!
This is the story of Marie and Antonio. Fiercely protective of her town, Marie instantly distrusts Antonio; the developer who comes to town, like so many others, looking for cheap land. But Antonio falls in love. With St. Joe and with Marie. Marie resists, but the attraction is too strong, especially when she sees how far Antonio will go to protect her town and the people who live there.
Yes, there will be sex! There is a villain. There is humor, good friends, and lots of love. HEA is assured. You Will love this book!

A sweet read
All café owner Marie wants if to help her hurricane ravaged town Port St. Joe (or PSJ) get back to the wonderful place to live it was. But developers have been trying to force their way in to make it a vacation Mecca. And Marie knows that would destroy the close-knit community.
Developer Antonio doesn’t want to destroy PSJ, he wants to help the people get back on their feet and maybe bring in a few more people. But when he tries to approach Marie about working together, she rebuffs him thinking he’s out to make a buck and destroy her beloved town. Can the two of them come together to help the town as well as explore the attraction they fell for one another?
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written with good chemistry and an interesting plot. I loved it and would recommend it to others.

Marie is a local business owner and like most of the locals she’s recovering from the hurricane that came through. Antonio is a real estate mogul and he is in town to check out some land for a deal he is working on. What he doesn’t know is that the locals don’t want any outsiders coming in and changing their town around. They have planned a town meeting and plan on fighting any developers that show up. Sparks fly between Antonio and Marie when they meet however when he learns that she is one of the people out to stop him from building he doesn’t know what to do to convince her that he isn’t a bad guy. He leaves town thinking its all lost but he gets an idea that send him back. Will Marie and the local give him a chance?
This is a great story that will grab your attention from the first page. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Beautiful love story with a touch of drama.
Loved reading this sweet book. Antonia is a property developer looking to invest when in PSJ a town trying to recover from a devastating hurricane, however, that maybe a problem when it comes Marie a fiesty woman who owns the local coffee shop and is passionate about preserving the town but is met with oppositions from the locals. When they meet there is a chemical reaction between them but neither are ready to back down on their ideas for saving the town. Annoyed Antonio flys back home even more determined to help the town he has become fond of, realising building condos is not what the town needs he comes up with another solution & flies straight back to tell Marie. Things get a bit hot when they both give in to the feelings & attempt to rebuild the town with the new proposition he has for it.
Definately recommend this book.
The story of Antonio and Marie sweet and romantic. Jillian Riley writes a good romantic tale of small town values and love. It’s nice to read about community and looking out for each other. It’s also nice when the little guy gets to beat the evil developers. A good quick read.

This is really a great story. I like how it brings up and front the plight of some of the small towns that can be run over by developers that come only to line their own pockets with what is best for them and not for the community that was had been hit by the storms. It can happen when any disaster strikes but this story is set a year after Hurricane Micheal hit the Florida Gulf coast line. Port St. Joe was one of those small communities that was hit hard by the hurricane. Though the people are factitious this could be a real setting in any small town that wants to keep it’s small town charm.
Marie Lewis had move there five years before and now calls it her home. She has always loved the small town charm but even after a year since the hurricane there was still so much work to be done to their town. She is the owner of ‘Cup of Joe’ a coffee shop but also serves up food for the people in the town. After the hurricane she opened her shop and feed most of the people of the town for free. She did what ever she could to help the town she loved. Then developers started showing up, developers that she was afraid were going to destroy everything the held dear.
Antonio Flores is one of the developers that came to the town but he didn’t come in looking like he was one. He spent his time getting to know the people and about the sea turtle research facility that was part of the nature reserve that sheltered the new nest that sea turtles came in and laid each year. He first went to Marie after hearing about her ideas about blocking out the developers and why to try to help her with some ideas. But she shut him down without even listening to him. Her next move really did backfire in her face. To find out how Marie really messed up, How Antonio hopes to help. The developers that want to take over and what they really want to do….well you will have to read the story. I promise you will not be disappointed.
This is not your typical Billionaire romance. Where they are all business and have a trust or commitment issue.
Anthony, a land developer, is just looking for a chance and wants to help. Maria, a business owner, looking to do the right thing but does not
trust easily.
Once they decide to work together, nothing can hold them back. This was a great story, with snarky side comments that just keep you laughing.

Nice read about how people come together after a horrific chain of events happens to a community. Love comes through for everyone. Jillian does it again in my eyes. I just really love the writing.

Every bad event brings something good.
In the story of Port St.Joe, destroyed by Hurricane Michael, there are people who wants to help rebuilding, to bring light on those who survived very bad moments and lost a lot. But there are also not so good and compassionate, they are trying to make profit, not caring for the small town life and people in it.
Very smoothly Jillian Riley brings the story of Marie and Antonio, who are doing their best to preserve small town peaceful life. In between their efforts, there is something building, first misunderstanding, then passion and desire, to finally reach a point of love.
Story which keeps your attention till the end, very strong and determined characters, beautifully written is worth recommending. My five star are going for all those people who are determined to build what is broken, to repair what is destroyed and in between to show there are still people worth our admiration.
I really enjoyed this story of Marie and Antonio. It’s heartwarming and filled with romance. Great characters that will make you smile. There is disaster from a hurricane and the recovery of the town from it. Great story! I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was a good book. I appreciated how realistic Marie was when she prejudged Antonio due to his occupation. How many times do people do that, and get it wrong. Antonio, thankfully, came back to Port St. Joe to try to collaborate with Marie again in order to save the town.

This is another great book by Jillian Riley. She developed the characters nicely and they have chemistry. Although at certain points, it was kinda of predictable whereas other times, you didn’t know what was going to happen. I also love how Ms. Riley touched on hurricanes and the aftermath. The book was beautifully written.

I always like a strong heroine, and Marie was definitely strong, independent, and opinionated. Antonio Flores waltzed into her world, and while the sparks flew immediately, they had a difference of opinion on the redevelopment of her beloved new home which had been rampaged by a hurricane last year.
This story was very sweet, and the relationship that developed between Marie and Antonio was quick, yet not rushed. And any book with a dog is a winner. The fact that Caesar, the Great Dane warmed up to Antonio only made the story that much sweeter.
Quick, sweet, love story with a realistic small town issue.

I loved how much Marie love where she lives and wanted to keep corporate America from taking over their small town after hurricane Michael.
Her love of the town caused Antonio Flores to change his mind about his plans for POC. He wasn’t well liked at first, but his love of Marie and the town changes so much.
A quick read with a HEA.

This is an interesting story. It’s about a real town being hit by a hurricane and how the town must come together to rebuild.
