This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by Mary Kit Caelsto; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.

Linda and her husband Kevin have done all they can yo try to have kids. But because of low sperm count on Kevin’s part and horrible life threatening reactions to IVF they are trying to come to terms with never having kids. But that might not happen and a high miracle is about to explode.

Linda is pregnant after she and her husband Kevin have given up hope of having a child. She is training a young horse to compete in the young hunter classes, and Kevin believes she should stop riding until after the baby is born. But Linda is committed to training and competing with her horse YongQi, even though she agrees to be careful. The other women who have horses in the barn are supportive of her. Will Linda be able to win ribbons while riding double?
I adore these stories about women who love horses!

Book nine of the Noble Dreams series a well written short book in this series, that kept me turning pages. Linda and Kevin have to learn to communicate their wishes to each other and have them understand what the other wants to do. I want to read the next book. The books should be read in order to get a better understanding of what is going on. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Linda and her husband had mourned when they had to come to terms that their body chemistries might mean they could never have children. Low sperm count on his part and a toxic response of her body to fertility treatments nearly cost her life and were hard on their marriage and families.
As I have seen happen with many couples, once they stopped trying and were actively pursuing other options, a series of unexpected surprises lay in store for them.
One of the coolest things about this series is the friendships the women share. The network of experiences and support that carry them through their rides through life.

Linda graded papers, trying to ignore the nagging feeling in the back of her mind. Between the increased workload at the college and her time at the barn with a new horse, she hardly ever saw her husband Kevin, which created a bit of tension between them. After her health scare, Linda thought she had resigned herself to never having a child. Instead, she purchased a young thoroughbred and she and YongQi were earning ribbons in the young hunter classes. She took on more work to pay down the extra bills now. But Kevin seemed to bring up the new horse as the reason they weren’t together as often. She was upset, and now wasn’t a good time to tell him that her period was late . . .
After working with her new gelding, YongQi, she put him away and saddled Ivy so she and her friends could go for a ride together. She stayed out longer than she had planned and came home to an empty house and a message that Kevin got called to the hospital and didn’t know when he would get home. Again, she felt the distance between them. Her thoughts again turned to a possible pregnancy. Perhaps her hormones were out of balance with all the recent stress and that was the cause. She wouldn’t know until she took a pregnancy test, but she couldn’t bring herself to do that yet. When Kevin came home and saw her crying in the bathtub, she told him she might be pregnant. His initial shock had turned to disbelief and then wonder. She had reassured him that of course she had taken her pill and he believed her.
On the day she decided to test, she was kind of glad Kevin was at work. She read the instructions over again, though nothing had changed. She waited for the test results and when she saw the plus sign, she slid slowly to the floor. She was pregnant! Would it be successful this time? Would her over-protective husband, Kevin, be okay with the news? How was this going to change their lives?
This story was good and accurately described how the characters processed what was happening and how they felt along the way. It was very realistic and I felt myself tense up waiting to find out what was going to happen in a number of instances. Grab your copy and see what the future has in store for Kevin and Linda. No matter what, things will never be the same again.
Take the author’s warning: “Note: While each book in the series stands alone, you’ll gain a fuller picture of the characters by reading the entire series and following their journeys.” not with a grain of salt but with caution, I do believe for this series if you want a full picture of understanding, it is of the utmost importance that you read all the books in the series in order. I learned that the hard way and had to go back and read all the books and then re-read this book, not because it didn’t make sense but because I just needed a better understanding of the picture and of what was going on. That bring said each book and be read as a standalone novel, but I personally would not recommend that. This book was very well-written and al the character development is really really well done.
