Ridiculous was a nice change of pace from the “usual” historical romance. The twists and turns were unexpected, and the characters were well written. I loved the wit of the main characters.
It was funny in its own way ,but I liked the characters.
Fun silly read. Great depth of characters.
This book maintains a vigorous pace as it winds its way through a tricky deception. It’s always exciting to see a brave woman defy convention, but this story is especially fun because of its humor and wit.
Both my mother (99) and I loved this book. It is original, witty, but with very endearing characters and we found it most entertaining. We are looking forward to reading more from D.L. Carter.
Clever twist on Regency romance!
Fun. Silly. Great light read. With a happy ending!
Enjoyed
Ridiculous was by far one of the most amusing books I’ve read to date. Great dialogue and characters, and a terrific send-up of Austen and Bronte era “manners” novels, but also brought to home how truly restricted women were in by-gone days.
I was surprised how much I loved this book. I highly recommend to anyone that enjoys historical type mysteries.
Gender-bender meets Jane Austen. I love it!
Enjoyed the book. Quick read.
Clever plot at first, but predictable ending ….i.e. the guy falls for the girl and they live happily ever after. Also towards the end there were so many characters and so many names, it was hard to keep straight.
Surprisingly well-crafted for its lightweight genre. A most enjoyable read.
I laughed out loud reading this book.
Very enjoyable read with a nice twist to you your interest.
Liked the story line…somewhat “out-there” for the time period but very enjoyable.
A quick, cute read.
Good laughs, will probably read it again.
Witty dialogue kept me laughing through this book.
