I loved Ridge and Meadow. They started as friends then to lovers. He the rising Rock Star, and she is still in college. I loved getting to see all the Crows. Alfie is adorable, and I want more of that cute kid. Ridge loves her enough to let her grow, and have faith she will come back.
Next book in the series… next book hangover in progress… next heartbreak… next breathless moments….
After reading book like that I have always huge problems with normall living and thinking straight, BECAUSE of S. L. Scott and her amazing writting. Ridge sucks me in compeletely, but it’s no suprising… I know how this series addictive is.
I love romances every kind, this simple and this more comlicated. For sure Ridge isn’t easy one. I don’t want say to much, but I assure every reader : be prepare, this story will rip heart from Your chest to watch how it can beat fast. Maybe Ridge and Meadow story sometimes is hard to read, but even that.. it’s still beautifull love story. Love story which can make You feel warm after storm full of thunders. Love story which always can give You hope for happy ending.. Love story which shows that THE ONE isn’t only stupid myth.
I liked very much how S.L. Scott describet this story. From page no 1 I was feeling everything what she wanted to say by Meadow and Ridge mouths. This couple for sure can steal heart and time, but for sure in good bookish way.
Oh Ridge! He’s the perfect book boyfriend–sweet & sexy, passionate & protective; sensitive & dirty-talking–and dare I say, he might have knocked Rivers out of the top spot for me! I’ve loved reading the Crow Brothers books so much and I think what sets them apart in the rock-n-roll genre is the sense of family, commitment and love among all the characters in this group. There are some real tear-jerking, emotional moments in Dave (Ridge) and Meadow’s journey that made this all the more enjoyable for me. And of course, the interactions and relationships between all the characters from these books makes it “real” for me which makes it a “must have” read. The “Hard to Resist” series by this author was always one of my favorites and this series is right up there with it. A definite 5+ star read!
Dave “Ridge” Carson has been in love with Meadow Fellowes for years but she left for an internship in London and he was left in the US touring with the Crow Brothers.
Meadow loved her time in London but now she is back in the US to complete her schooling and decide what she wants to do with her life. She knows that includes not getting involved with Ridge as she has no desire to lose her own identity to a man.
As Ridge and Meadow try to figure out their feelings for one another they can’t dent their chemistry and Meadow knows she needs to give him a chance. Will Meadow be able to get over her own insecurities to give Ridge a real chance or will her need to find herself cause her to lose Ridge in the process?
This is such a great series and I loved this one with Ridge and Meadow!
I really liked Ridge and knew his feelings for Meadow were genuine! I wanted him to get an honest chance with her but she pushed him away so much and it was sad that he was never getting the full Meadow.
I understood that Meadow did not want to lose herself but I felt bad for her that she felt like she couldn’t have Ridge and be true to herself as well. It took so long in the book for Meadow to discover what she could and couldn’t have that allowed her to remain true to herself and open herself up for a chance at a relationship.
I loved Meadow’s relationship with her sister, Stella, as well as the Crow brothers.
The chemistry between Meadow and Ridge was intense but there was always that “wall” between them due to Meadow’s insecurities. I loved Ridge’s comment about Meadow always being the one leaving him.
The end was awesome and I loved how it all worked out!
Alfie’s declaration at the end was absolutely awesome!
Dave “Ridge” Carson just wants a chance. Meadow Fellowes is a confusing woman who may not know what she wants. Or she doesn’t want to take that leap of faith. I know that this is considered a second chance but the way our main characters seem to skirt around the edges, I’m not sure they even got a first chance. But then Dave hints at something from their past that could change my mind.
We know that Dave is in a band but his group doesn’t overtake the story so sometimes we can forget that part of him. Having the music of your favorite band playing in the background may help with that. One thing that frustrated me was how both the author and her characters were teasing me. Nothing good comes easy. It shows how relationships can be complicated and even take a while to develop. My frustration is a good thing because I had to keep reading in order to see if that feeling changed. I also had to be patient because I have to remember how young Meadow is – love is not always what they think of first. But it was nice to see that Dave was also frustrated – glad to see I’m in good company. If you like books that tease your senses than this will have it in spades. The ending had me thinking that it was a perfect Dave moment – you’ll have to read in order to get what I mean.
I have not read the first two books in the Crow Brothers series – I know, isn’t that sad. But I didn’t need them in order to enjoy this latest of the series. And that certainly won’t stop me from going back and fixing that since I do want to know how this group started. I also want to see how this author first created this group of men and the women they come to love. But I may be one up on you. Meadow has a sister and said sister’s story is told in Rivers – I was smart and read that first.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Dave is the dreamiest character! I’d like to know where SL Scott comes up with these men? The straight and sharp honesty that Dave showed was the sexiest characteristic ever!! Again… are you using real men as reference for this Crow band? I might be married but if there’s a real Dave out there, I might have to rethink this arrangement…. ok, I kid! My husband seriously makes me swoon! What I’m trying to say is that Dave is special. Meadow was adorable. She was so wrapped up in Dave. I don’t fault her for being scared… her feelings were so strong and overwhelming.
Scott seriously creates my absolute favorite rocker romances. The Crow boys, yes, I’m throwing Ridge/Dave into the foursome, I haven’t been able to get enough of these men! Dave and Meadow’s story is adorably sweet. It’s full of heart and the heat, gosh, these two are just it!! Like I have some to expect from Scott, her writing is right on point. She tells the characters story in just the right way. I love seeing all my friends from the other books. This is just the perfect blend of love and friendship.
I feel like I could go on and on… I won’t… grab Ridge now and I hope you love it like I do!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This was a good read! This is the first I’ve read of this series, but I didn’t feel lost at all. I really liked Ridge. He was a good guy, and would do anything for the people he cared about. I honestly wasn’t a fan of Meadow for most of the book. I know she was young, but she also knew what she was doing hurt Ridge. She kept saying that she needed to do things for herself, and not depend on him, but she didn’t hesitate to let her sister pay all her bills. A little confusing for me. They were good together and their chemistry was great, when they were both all in. There were a few other instances that bothered me, but I’m trying not to post any spoilers. The writing did flow well, and I would definitely read this author again!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
I could write an entire review on just the characters alone. Who they are. What they go through. But, you’ve already read the blurb, you know what this is about. So instead of wasting my time and yours, let me just tell you this… S.L. Scott books come to life. Their like watching a movie in your head. You see them. You feel their pain. You imagine them as real people, people you’d like to know. They become someone you’d see on your street, or in this case, a band you’d see playing in a huge arena.
I knew, very quickly, I was I gonna love this book. By chapter 9 I had to stop and write my thoughts out on my kindle. I don’t usually do that. Usually I wait until the last page before thinking of what I’ve read. But with this one, I couldn’t. I had to stop and think back of all the characters in this book. Their stories, their loves and how each story, each book, came to life in my head. It was like saying hi to old friends once more.
So, should you read this? I hope so. Because in the words of David Carson aka Ridge aka S.L. Scott- “We were a moment in time, something tangible before the sunrise.” With that quote alone, this book deserves to be read.
I received an eARC copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Dave… oohhhh I freaking love him. He is so sweet and loyal and wonderful and beutiful and I could go on, and on, and on.. yeah I know, you got it. And like Meadow says.. Dave is the one to look after, not Ridge. I never liked his nickname, and apparently for a reason.
“I love you, because you might hide your fears, but your heart is still open. I love you because when I’ve had a bad day, hearing your voice makes it better. But most of all, I love you because I don’t have to prove myself to you. You’ve given me yourself, and loving you is the best thing I will ever do, Meadow Soleil. Your heart, your trust, and your support are everything to me. ”
By Dave Carson
Meadow is a young and very confused woman. She really doesn’t know what she wants. I get it that she didn’t have a nice role model while growing up, but still, why would you steer away from such a kind man like Dave is?
But I give her credit how she stood up for Dave in front of his father. That was hands down the best decision that she ever made.
At times I was pulling my hair out when they were both too stubborn to make a step toward reconciliation. Other times I was swooning for them and with them, because they can be realy nice and sweet.
I really have to mention The Crow Brothers. They are so loyal to Meadow and are standing up for her, really impressive. I loved their parts in this book, because it wouldn’t be the same without them. And lastly Alfie. O my god I love this kid. He is so smart and funny and really lovable. He is a little prince charming already. Love their bond between him and Tulsa.
Amazing book, Suzie did it again. Bravo!
How Meadow is stuck in following the advice of a worthless mother and father is beyond me. Because with a man so sweet and caring like Ridge I would not be questioning what love looks like. He is putting his heart on the line without hold backs and gives her what no one else gets, Dave. The simple man before the fame. As a minimum a good thing about this book is that you won’t hate Meadow. I don’t know about you but I normally have the female characters getting on my nerves and wanting to replace them. The replacing part hasn’t changed with a man like Ridge but Meadow learns and accepts her mistakes and she jumps on his defense without without a second thought. Yes, she is frustrating some times but for most of the story she turns out to be admirable because she really appreciates all the effort he puts in to making her happy. But when opportunities come her way left and right, will she make the right choices?
They are good for each other. They are the calm inside the chaos the other needs. And the amount of attention to detail that Ridge shows will have your heart skipping beats. All to match his rhythm just like Meadow’s does. Plus let’s face it, you will also keep loving every character around them. They are the best!!
Oh my Dave….this book was soooo good and don’t know where to begin…
I always knew that Dave was someone special. And boy did he prove his worth in this book. I love him and he should forget all about Meadow and choose me instead.
Almost 80% off the book I was hating her so much for, even if it was unintentional, hurting him with her not knowing what she wants in life. But as she FINALLY made up her mind how much she can’t live without him, she redeemed herself in my eyes and I’ll be able to sleep a little easier now fully aware that he has someone who loves him like he deserves.
This series just proved to me why I love reading about rock stars so much. I can’t wait to see what S.L.Scott has in store for us next.

Dave Carson (Ridge) has finally, unexpectedly, met the woman of his dreams. But, she doesn’t want a thing, a relationship, whatever you want to call it. You see, she’s closed herself off to the idea of love, thanks to her awful parents, who were not exactly the role models for beautiful, romantic love. So Dave gives her what she wants, and lets her go. Will she ever come back to him? Will she ever wrap her head around the notion that just because you love someone and they love you, does not mean you lose your independence, lose your self? Or will she focus herself on her dream, her independence, her career?
Agh this story got to me right in the gut! Dave may not be a Crow brother by blood, but he’s one by virtue of love, and he’s got those boys beat in the swoonworthy department. I didn’t think it was possible, but it’s a fact – Dave is the absolute sweetest, most patient, most adorable hero yet of S.L. Scott’s. There were times I wanted to smack Meadow upside the head, though, because she was frustrating as hell with her stubbornness and closed off heart. And yet, I felt for her, and could certainly understand why she was the way she was. And Dave loved her, so she gets a huge pass from me. Still, had she not been paired with the amazing guy that Dave is, I probably wouldn’t have given her a pass. But, I loved their story. It’s emotional and beautiful and real. Sounds strange to call a rockstar romance real, but Ridge is real. Dave and Meadow are really like anyone any of us could know and love. They’re that down to earth and low-key. And awesome, let’s not forget awesome, cuz they are that. This whole story is, and I am just glad S.L. gave it to us, so thank you!
I love SL Scott and her books. This Crowe Brothers series is amazing and a wonderful journey. Ridge does not disappoint.
Ridge is a beautiful love story of Dave and Meadow. And family and friends and doing life together!
This book gave me all the feels. Ridge/Dave is this amazing guy who loves Meadow but he knows he has to let her find herself even though he doesn’t want too.
Meadow is young, loves Dave but wants to stand on her own to feet. She has commitment issues related to her parents and isn’t sure where love can fit into her life.
What l love about this book is when Dave and Meadow are honest with themselves and each other- even when things don’t go as planned- beautiful things can still happen.
The support of all the Crowe Brothers and The Resistance- the guys and the girls add so much to the depth of this book!!
I could go on and on and wish I could give it a 10 Star review because it’s just that fabulous!!
Absolutely loved this book! In fact the entire Crow Brothers series is fantastic and this was the perfect wrap up. Dave “Ridge” Carson is amazing. He’s loving, kind, patient, and incredibly sexy. Loved his character. Meadow wasn’t always my favorite but I felt the author nailed her character. She’s young, determined, driven, and fearful of commitment. Her parents really did a number on her and she’s not sure there is a happily ever after out there for her so she’s put up walls to protect her heart. When Dave comes along and wants it all it definitely scares her but she can’t run forever can she?
Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down and it’s one you won’t want to miss. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.
“Mr. Field Mellowes will see you now”
I just found my favorite in this series. My favorite Crow, favorite Carson, favorite rock star, favorite Dave. I can’t even find the words!
“Being with you forever doesn’t scare me. The thought of living a life without you does”
Dave is so incredibly sweet, it totally melt my heart. And Meadow is so strong, even when she is the most vulnerable.
This is a love story, but it’s also a family story. A story of how family, real family, always have your back, it’s about loyalty, love, friendship, faith in each other, it’s about “Four guys. Four friends. Four musicians. One band. One family”. And so much more than that!
Both Dave and Meadow have a lot of heavy baggage, they deal with pasts, with what their families brought or still bring over them, they deal with their insecurities and they try to learn how to fight against it.
Dave is everything. He is sweet, respectful, loyal. He is someone I wish were real just so I could see into his eyes, because they sounded so powerful and nurturing and warming. He is patient and kind, he is loving and protective. And he totally supports Meadow in her decisions, even if it breaks him.
“I always believed in you, but to know you believe in us means everything to me”
Meadow is learning her place in this world. She is fighting with all she has to be her own person, and not the extension of someone else. She is independent, strong, resilient. And even if she comes off a little stuborn sometimes, you can see and understand her reasons. She doesn’t want to be a burden, she wants to be a partner. But the important thing is that she learns quickly, and she realizes the real fears and the real goals she must aim to.
“If you were in New York or Chicago, Miami, or even Timbuktu, I’d want to be there because it’s not about the placec. It’s about you. You’re my home. My safe place, you love my shelter, your support the roof. I can weather anything when I’m with you”
This book was exquisite. I love the author’s writing and how insightful and sensitive she can be. The characters are deep and they develop beautifully. Their backgrounds are solid and their connection is outstanding.
I swooned and I melt reading this book. I laughed out loud and I felt their pain. And I even learned a lot about about love, life and bad words when Dave gets advice from Alfie…you know, the nine year old amazingly adorable boy.
And in the end, they det even more than what they were looking for. They got their future, they got their history, they got their family, they got their love.
“Love is finding the love of your life in a crowd of ten thousand because she’s the only one who exists to me”
This is such a perfect ending to this series! I just love Ridge/Dave! He’s got it all. He’s sexy, funny, loyal and rock star. Meadow is sweet, determined and still finding herself. The writing is phenomenal. This book provides all the feels. It’s angsty, funny and heartwarming. I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!
5 DING DONG STARS
Ridge is the 4th book in the Crow Brothers Series. While you don’t have to read about Jet, Tulsa and Rivers to understand what’s going on this in beautifully crafted romance, I don’t know why you’d want to deny yourself the pleasure of getting to know the entire hot and sexy band.
Ridge aka, Dave, is a swoony, honest, loving piece of perfection that I will not soon forget. This man….GAHHHH! I loved everything about him. Dave’s honesty is such a turn on, if I could have jumped into the pages of this story and keep him for myself I would. He’s thoughtful, endearing and looks out for the ones he loves like it’s his mission in life.
This story has love, laughter and friends who are like family that will support you unconditionally. The chemistry between Dave and Meadow is a five-alarm fire! Every time they were in the same room together, I knew something significant would happen. I felt their connection to my core. I was hooked from Page 1 and I knew that letting go in the end would not be easy.
Meadow is young and may be naïve in some ways, but she’s not naïve about her heart and how she truly feels about Dave. He is the center of her universe and that scares her. She loves Dave with every fiber of her being, but the negative voices of her past continue to haunt her. At the end of the day, my heart broke for her. I was sad to see her make decisions she thought “had to be done,” I wanted her to follow her heart because it led to Dave and his unconventional love!
Ms. Scott has proven time and time again that she can not only grab my attention but captivate my heart. The passion, love and authenticity she brings to her characters is the stuff made of dreams. This book gave me ALL.THE.FEELS. I loved it, I loved the characters and I loved Ridge/Dave. I fell in love with Dave and Meadow just as much as they did with each other. Dave has no doubt wiggled his way up to the top of my Book Boyfriend list. This love story works! My heart is full
If you think you know all about a sweet rockstar you haven’t met Ridge. He will steal your heart and not give it you back.
This story is a little of a second chance, because before Meadow goes to London for her internship something special happens with Ridge but neither of them are ready to label what they are.
When Meadow comes back to the states and she is face to face with Ridge again, all those feelings will come to surface and she won’t know what to do with them.
While Ridge is sure for his feeling towards Meadow, he lets her take the lead in this no-labeled relationship and gets hurt in the way for some insecurities that Meadow was taught when she was young.
“The music of our bodies together is the only melody I hear. She’s become my friend. My lover. My muse. “
Ridge shows us that love doesn’t come with strings attached but its free and is us to decide what we want from it, he shows us that even when life puts us through proofs there is always a refuge for us and that it won’t interfere with our relationships.
“Love is finding the love of your life in a crowd of ten thousand because she’s the only one who exists to me.”
I am swooning over Ridge because he is the perfect gentleman with a little of a bad boy that will melt you heart and will make you to want to protect him…. While he does “bad” things to you.
5+ STARS FOR RIDGE/DAVE!! 5 STARS, 5 STARS, 5 STARS, I sound like a broken record and this record went platinum in my world. Ridge was PHENOMENAL, just like this rest of the books in this series. Dave and Meadow’s story is so beautiful, touching and full of love, it will be in my heart forever. If you haven’t read this series please do yourself a favor and start it. This book can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading all of them.
“Somewhere between El Paso and Tucson, I found my soul under the bright stars of the Southwest.”
Ridge was as swoon worthy as I thought he would be. These Crow Brothers get better and better with each book. I was so excited for Dave and Meadow’s story, and it did not disappoint me. Although Rivers will always own my heart, Ridge gave him a run for his money. I could not devour the pages quick enough. The emotion, passion, and insecurities that flowed through this book was powerfully beautiful. This is not your average love story. It was raw, haunting, and heartbreaking. One page I was laughing. One page I was swooning. While the next page had me crying and wanting to throw my Kindle. The author was not lying when she promised you all the feels. Because Ridge was a emotional roller coaster ride packed full of them. I never seen Dave and Meadows story happening like it did, and I loved the surprise of it. Their chemistry burned through your kindle pages, its only destination to burn through your heart. Their relationship was complicated, insecure, yet somehow so beautiful. I was not ready for the story to end. I could have gotten lost with Dave and Meadows forever. I’m sad to see the Crow Brother series end. But I would be lying if I didn’t say I am excited and hopeful a certain band will be up next *cough*Ferris Wheel*cough*.
“Meadow Soleil. Her name might mean the sun, but she’s always been the sunshine to my rainy-day heart.”
Meadow is one of those complicated heroines you can’t help but love. She has a carefree spirit, yet is stubborn and head strong in her ways. So many times I just wanted to shake some sense into her and scream WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? While other times my heart broke for the women still struggling under the insecurities of her past demons. I loved that Meadow kept you on your toes. Her character is a beautiful contradiction indeed.
“Dave. That’s who I needed to be tonight. Not Ridge with all that entails. Not David, the son who disappoints. Dave, the man this beautiful woman likes spending time with.”
Ridge’s character is who surprised me most this book. I adored getting to know Dave. Who knew this Rockstar was such a romantic at heart. Sure Ridge is hot, but Dave is HOTTER. Every word out of his mouth will have you melting into a puddle of swoons. He oozes sex appeal and charm. I loved every facet his character had to offer. My heart was not ready for a vulnerable Dave. My heart ached for him so many times. He was definitely out to completely steal your heart.
“Emerald and sea, thyme and spring, waterfall and moss, ocean and earth. I can go on about all the greens that make up who you are to me.”
*4&1/2 STARS*
Well earned for a fantastic ending to the Crow Brothers series. These Rockstar’s definitely know how to rock a women’s heart long after their stories end.
