Ridge is a great love story between Dave (Ridge) Carson and Meadow Fellows. It’s the 4th book in the Crow Brothers Series and each can be read as a standalone. SL Scott brings us a Rock Star who only has eyes for Meadow, a woman who is trying to fight the demons of her childhood and find herself. Can Meadow rise above her demons and trust Ridge enough to give them a chance at a future? If Ridge has anything to say about she will.
I loved how loyal and sure of himself that Ridge was throughout all Meadow had to go through to wrestle her demons and finally put her trust in Ridge. It was a sweet, romantic story that I couldn’t put down.
ALL THE STARS
This book took me twice as long as I normally read. BECAUSE IT’S AMAZING!!!! I couldn’t put it down but at the same time my heart was bursting and I could only do small shots at once. I wasn’t expecting this from Dave and Meadow at all but I should be expecting this level of greatness from SL Scott since she is reigning queen of the second chance romance!!!
SL Scott has taken her writing to another level AGAIN! I thought Everest was some of her best, but Ridge is lyrical and poetic and literally EPIC. While keeping the story fairly simple, she is able to focus on elaborating the depth of characters, their emotions, projecting all the feels, and creating a family that brought tears to my eyes.
I’m not typically a crier when I read, so when I found myself wiping tears more that once during Ridge, I knew it’s a special story. Meadow and Dave (who’s stage name is Ridge) have amazing chemistry. There’s fire every time they touch;. But there’s more…beyond that their admiration, true deep love and respect for each other was heart melting. The words they say to each other is sheer poetry to express their love. I sigh, I rejoice in their connection, I’m in heaven reading Ridge.
I can’t say enough how much I love SL Scott’s books. Ridge is another powerful addition to her already impressive list of books that continue to move me. Ridge is one of my MUST READS for 2018.
5 Amazing Stars
Oh my word! Dave “Ridge” Carson has stolen my heart. With her amazingly talented words, SL Scott brings us one of the most beautiful stories ever. It will immerse you into the pages of Dave and Meadow’s journey to find their happily ever after. It will keep you on the edge of your seat and anxiously turning page after page. Dave is sexy, swoony and definitely someone I would want to keep for myself. (Hello new book boyfriend!) Meadow is young and naive in a lot of ways, but this girl knows her heart and how she feels. My heart broke for her and some of the things she did because she felt they were the right thing to do. You can feel the chemistry between Dave and Meadow melting the pages of your kindle. This may be my favorite in the series.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
Fourth and final book in the Crow Brothers series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. This book has all the feels with a lot of heartache along the way. Ridge Crow is a rock star to the world but he is just Dave Carson when with Meadow. I loved that this book didn’t have side stories about ex’s, or stalkers, or other horrible things to overcome. It was about the chemistry between Ridge and Meadow and how they were able to go from nothing serious to so much more. Their road was not an easy one and the book takes place over two years. Dave is sweet, caring, kind and so patient. Meadow is younger and needed to work out herself before she could commit to a future without feeling like she would lose herself. This is a great book, I loved the series and I am sad that this is the last book. I highly recommend!!
Why do we only get 5 stars when it deserves so much more. Book 4 of the Crow series. I didn’t think I could possibly love one more then the other but she really did it. Ridge!!!
Happy Endings Don’t Exist or Do They?
I just finished this book and it’s everything if not more. MS. Scott has done an amazing job with Ridge/Dave and Meadows story. How she included all the characters throughout the other Crow series. (Plus a few others) and still kept it about these two was awesome. I experienced so many feelings throughout reading this. I laughed, cried, got angry, it was swoony, sexy, hot, and I fell more in love with Ridge/Dave and Meadow. It just has all the feels to it. I also enjoyed how Alfie was more included here too. Aside from that, Ridge has the weight of the world on his shoulders with family, finding his one and having to let her go and also being a rockstar. Meadow is trying to find herself and not depend on others or love as she was taught early on. Ridge also makes sacrifices for Meadow when he knows where his heart belongs. So as you journey through their time together you’ll learn there is alot to discover. The friendship, love, laughter, family, and where the heart belongs. MS Scott just has this way with words that suck you right in and makes you feel like your a part of them. I highly recommend reading all the Crow brothers but definetly would read this one. Amazing love story with some tears and laughter. I’m so excited to know what’s next..
I LOVED this book!!!
This series is one of my absolute favorite these books get better and better! Ridge and Meadow were beautiful but Dave and Meadow were absolutely everything This beautiful story will captivate you from page 1 and you cant help but fall in love with these 2! Absolute page turner! One click this bad boy and fall in love with The Crow brothers and their beautiful other halves all over again
“What do you see when you look at me?” “Infinite possibilities.”
Ridge is book#4 in The Crow Brothers series. SL Scott brings us a beautifully written story of two lost people, searching to find themselves. The pace is slow and languid. There are many memories and flash backs shared. There is also an “inner voice” that spoke at times that I loved! This was the end of a wonderful journey.
David “Ridge” Carsen in the fourth honorary Crow Brother. He was content to be a studio musician but fate brought him to work with the Crow Brothers and the band of three became four. After traveling on tour together they act as if they have known each other their whole lives.
Just as Ridge is the honorary Crow brother, Meadow Fellowes is their honorary Crow sister. Meadow is the sister of Stella and has known the Crow brothers most of her life. Stella marrying Rivers Crow has brought Meadow a sense of family and security. Stella and Rivers want Meadow to experience life and lift away some of the financial burdens she once had.
Meadow is free spirited, quirky, and funny but also guarded. She has worked so hard to be where she is. With an upcoming internship in London and one year of college left, life is finally going her way. She wants to be able to stand on her own. To be strong and independent. Life has taught her that lesson the hard way. She still feels haunted by her mother’s rejection and the negative input her father had about love and marriage.
“Don’t close your heart off. Sometimes true love only comes around once.”
Ridge has been a bit of a mystery in other books. He finds himself split into two different personas. “Ridge” is the hot, confident, musician that the public sees. Dave is a more private and quiet guy. He likes his privacy. He often feels conflicted because he wants people to “see” him and not his persona. I found him to be romantic and poetic.
“She’s become my friend. My lover. My muse.”
Ridge and Meadow have so much chemistry! As they search to find themselves, they fear getting lost in one another. Their connection is strong and their passion, intense. Their story had a bit of everything – romance, angst, banter, laughing, drama and a few surprises. There are heartbreaking decisions that they both must make and I won’t say that I didn’t yell at them a few times!
There is also the rest of the Crow brothers and their wives weaved throughout the story. As the Crow Brothers series grew so did their families. I loved the humor that came from Alfie, Jet’s son! It was really an enjoyable way to end the series.
Ridge and Meadow have a road full of hills, turns and bumps. Will they survive? Although Ridge is a standalone I highly recommend starting at the beginning with Spark! Get to know Jet, Rivers and Tulsa Crow! You will not be disappointed!
As for the future, Ms. Scott has many roads that she can follow. Could opening act “Faris Wheel” have a few stories ahead???? Definitely something I would read!
“We were a moment in time, something tangible before sunrise.”

Yet another awesome read by SL Scott!!!!
Infinite Possibilities!!
The way this author combines her beautiful words, fantastic storylines, and amazing characters is absolutely incredible!
Combine a big-hearted free-spirited beauty with an incredibly sexy songwriting rockstar and you get an explosive and swoon-worthy story with many laughs. Add in the love and friendships of this close tight knit “family” and you get a brilliant piece of art!
If you have not yet met the members of The Crow Brothers or The Resistance or any other phenomenal book by this author, you need to solve that problem right now!!!
Who would have thought you could hear music from the pages of a book!
SL Scott knows her instrument well and plays it to perfection. You feel the passion and the very heart and soul of her words and thats a tune you could listen to all day.
Ridge/Dave Carson (Rockstar) one man with two different personas.
Ridge is the guitarist for The Crow Brothers. Although not a Crow by blood he is a brother all the same. He’s totally hot and has the ladies lining up. From having nothing to having fame and fortune, Ridge’s passion is in his music, his band mates and people connected to them who have come to mean everything to him.
Dave is a man searching for something, a place in life, a home. A man who doesn’t show his feelings to those closest to him very often and keeps his emotions bottled up inside. A man wanting the acceptance from his father and not the disappointment he hears and sees from him.
Meadow Soleil Fellows (Sunshine) is trying to find herself, to make something of herself and to stand on her own two feet. At a young age it was drummed into her that love is not real and never give your heart and trust to anyone.
When these two connect it is all consuming. From the very first time the passion and lust is electrifying but neither is brave enough to put there heart on the line. Even with time and distance there passion never waivers. Learning to love and trust in each other will they find a way to be together or will the past keep them apart forever.
A touching and heartfelt story as only SL Scott and write. Feeling the beat and finding the rhythm is what makes this such a beautiful melody.
Since I started reading romance, I’ve been all about second chance romances, especially when the couple shares such an intense and deep connection and then when S.L. Scott adds in a hero with a heart of gold – one who is thoughtful, understanding and honest, an atypical rocker if you will, I can’t help but want him to get exactly what his heart desires, and what he wants and needs is the quirky, stubborn, and independent woman who Meadow aspires to be.
Ridge/Dave and Meadow’s journey is a tumultuous one to say the least – it’s one that started some time ago, sent them in opposite directions, and then brought them back together, but as they reunite, they appear to want different things, which makes rekindling their previous romance, not only difficult, but, at times, extremely frustrating because regardless of the man Dave proves himself to be, Meadow can’t let go of her past, and she also can’t let go of the fact that she wants to stand on her own, relying on herself and no one else for her happiness, so while Dave shows just how patient he can be for the woman who owns his heart, if the back and forth, push and pull doesn’t have an ending point, it’s unclear if what these two once shared stands a chance of becoming their forever.
While I can understand Meadow’s need for independence, especially given the scars of her past, I’ll confess that I wanted to throttle her several times throughout the story due to her indecision and conflicted thoughts. In some ways, she’s seems naive or maybe she just doesn’t quite know how to handle such deep feelings and she does things by what her head thinks instead of her heart, stemming from her parents being horrible role models for relationships. And, if I’m completely honest,
a part of me didn’t think she deserved, not that she wasn’t worth the effort, but Dave was offering her everything she could want in a man…in a relationship, but, too many times, she allowed her insecurities and her fears to control her words and her actions.
But, I will say, that because S.L. Scott never stops revealing who her characters are at their core, I slowly warmed back up to Meadow and reveled in her times of clarity and understanding, and I also held on to the fact that her love for Dave would keep that light burning regardless of what they had to endure in order to get to that point.
The cameos of previous characters is something that I always love, and the Crow brothers are some of my favorite S.L. Scott characters. These characters’ bonds speak to the sense of family that’s been created, beyond blood, and it illustrates just how lucky people are when they find their people – the ones who get them…the ones who love them unconditionally…the ones who have their backs at any and all costs.
I’m a huge fan of S.L. Scott’s books, and every time I read one, I appreciate the depths of her story lines and characters because they allow a connection to be made between the readers and Scott’s heroes and heroines, and it’s an emotional one that drives us to absorb everything that occurs in the book in order to truly capture who these characters are and what they’re teaching us through their words and actions.
4.5 Poison Apples
***I received an ebook copy from the author at no cost***
This is the latest book in Scott’s Crow Brothers Series and, just like the others, can be read as a standalone.
Ridge felt different than the other books in this series, in a totally good way. This story is a nice, slow burn, and Ridge himself is a different brand of character than his brothers. Ridge is the stage persona—the sexy, confident musician who can ruin a woman with just a smile. Dave is the guy behind the persona—the romantic, private, sweetheart who loves his job but wants people to recognize him for who he is and not for the show he puts on when he’s onstage.
Meadow is fantastic. She’s driven and successful, wild in the heart, and is her own person. She has dreams and goals she’s set for herself and she’s determined to succeed. She’s the type of woman who is independent as heck even when she’s a part of a couple. She falls for Ridge but she doesn’t let her feelings cloud her judgement, and she stays grounded.
I like Ridge a lot. I feel like we haven’t gotten a lot of him in previous books, so getting a whole book about him was fun. And Scott does such a fantastic job of creating these male leads. She’s the queen of writing rock star romances and she’s amazing at balancing the rock star side with the average joe side. That showed more than ever with Ridge’s character.
I love the story in this book. There’s so much chemistry between Ridge and Meadow and Scott did a perfect job of making this an angsty but romantic read. The slow burn is on point and there’s some twists thrown in to keep readers at the edge of their seats.
As always, it was great to see characters from the previous books. I love the relationship between the brothers and how they’re always there for each other. Family comes first for this group, and that’s one of the things that’s made this series so wonderful for me as a reader.
If you’re looking for a good rock star read to jump into autumn with, this is the book for you!
Five stars to this novel!
My heart feels all warm and fuzzy! Ridge/Dave is such a wonderful, caring, sexy, sensitive and strong young man. Meadow is a beautiful, loving, sweet, kind hearted young woman who has some emotional damage, left over by her cruel parents. Together they take an up and down journey, trying to figure out who they are are meant to be and what they want in life. This book was so beautifully touching and tinged with sadness and angst but a whole lot of love! I really loved Dave’s understanding nature and his love for Meadow shines through at all times. Meadow was so caught between her head and her heart that I really felt for her. She really loved Dave and it showed in her pain and insecurities. This whole book is filled with so many deep, raw emotions as well as happy, funny and heartwarming ones, that shape it into an amazing story! The Crow Brothers gang is just a fantastic group of people that just give you so much joy to read about even in the midst of such feeling and depth. S.L. Scott is one of my favourite authors!
This book is so many amazing things! Ridge and Meadow’s story is sweet and fun and so so sexy. Their spark is instant and combustable. Together, in their bubble they are unstoppable! Past, present, doubt and bad advice throw curve ball after curve ball their way. Their story is like a seesaw, up and down.
Dave Ridge Carson is not only charming and sexy he’s a poet. His words and actions for Meadow are every girls dream come true! He isn’t your typical rock star and he only has eyes for Meadow! Meadow is smart, determined, and stubborn! The pair different, but so similar in many ways. Their banter is light and refreshing!
Ridge is the perfect addition to the Crow brothers series. It was so great catching up with this amazing family!!
I love this author and have read most of her amazing, addictive books. Rockstar romances are my favorite stories to read, a series is even better, but without excellant writing and believable, captivating characters, it is just another story. Thankfully, it’s never JUST a story with S.L. Scott because her style draws you into the world she creates and keeps you wrapped up in it until you sadly turn the last page.
This is the 4th book in the Crow Brother’s series but can be absolutely read as a standalone but if you haven’t read any of them yet..what are you waiting for? The brothers, Jet, Tusla and Rivers all had their stories told (unforgettable!) and now Dave ‘Ridge’ Carson, ‘brother’ from another mother, is here in all his glory to star in his own. The Crow Brothers are a rock band with the addition of Ridge, but their extended family by choice is made up of those they all love, trust and care about and that’s what makes this series so much fun and very special. It’s especially nice to see beloved characters from other series pop into these stories to give us even more ongoing depth and excitement…yay!
Ridge loves his band family and has a special bond with them that can’t be broken but he is now the only single guy left. He’s got alot to offer the right woman- strong, but gentle, so hot and sexy but also humble. He’s a rocker but loyal and trustworthy, thoughtful, smart and creative, he’s a badass guitar player and can compose a song that will make you melt! Yes, Ridge might just be the perfect boyfriend, if only the girl he has in his heart could see it.
That girl, Meadow, is like a baby sister to the band, so what if something started and then went wrong? Pretty awkward, maybe even destructive to the Crow Brothers ‘family’ dynamic. Ridge knows how he feels and can’t keep his mind off of her, even when she is halfway around the world, working a college internship in London. Has she forgotten about him and the unspoken words between them after so long apart? He wants so much more with her but his patience is wearing thin. Maybe it’s time to give up and move on.
Meadow wants to be strong, independent and do things her own way, alone, show the world that love, which equals weakness to her, isn’t something she needs in her life right now, maybe never. She’s been fed these lines by her parents forever and believes it, even as her heart wants to rebel against the words while she continues to fantasize about her brief time Dave.
Can two hearts meet somewhere in the middle? Will Meadow allow Ridge, Dave as only she calls him, over the high, protective walls she has surrounded herself with? Will Meadow and Dave ever land in the same place at the same time to see what might happen?
This book has everything a romance reader could want. There is anticipation, want, need, humor, love, family, kindle melting hotness..so many emotions and you won’t want to miss a single one! Another emotional, sexy, rollercoaster ride in the world of the Crow Brothers you won’t want to miss.
Looking forward to whatever Ms. Scott has up her literary sleeve for the next time, hope it’s another rock series that ties in with this one and The Resistance..maybe some Faris Wheel???
*I LOVED this book and was very happy to have received an ARC of it in exchange for my honest and heartfelt review!
*4,5 stars*
I don’t think this author can do much wrong in my eyes ‘cuz I just have loved every book I’ve read from her and she’s one of my favorite authors. Every time she comes out with a book, I look forward to reading it and every time she just has this way with words that just takes you on a journey you don’t want to leave! I really enjoyed this series and was looking forward to reading Ridge’s story. It definitely met my expectations 🙂
Ridge and Meadow have had an amazing few weeks with each other and even though Ridge wants more, something is holding her back and she goes back to London to finish her studies. But both can’t get each other out of their minds. Now Meadow’s sister is getting married and they’re going to be in each other’s company again. Ridge will try to do whatever he can to make her see that they could be great together. Even though her walls are slowly coming down there’s still something inside her that is holding her back but sometimes love can push through. Will they finally get a chance together and get a chance to a HEA?…
The honorary Crow Bro gets his own book, and I love him as much as the Crow boys. He’s a quiet romantic without really trying and says the most amazing things. Who wouldn’t fall for him? Meadow never stood a chance. And while doing what she could to be able to stand on her own two feet, she couldn’t resist falling for him along the way. Their journey is filled with emotions (not gonna lie, my eyes leaked a few times), but so worth the ride. And the love of all the Crows, this family, is just amazing
I have loved this series, of this Rockstar Band of the Crow Brothers, and now we have Ridge (Dave Carson) not a brother by blood but still he’s just as much Family. I’m not quite sure how rockstar books just keep getting better, but this author not only manages that, she does so much more. She brings them to life, not only in your head but also in your heart and your emotions.
Meadow has known the Crow Brother’s most of her turbulent life, and she definitely isn’t going to fall in love or depend on any man and given her past, you can fully understand where she is coming from. She’s fiercely independent and determined to “make” it on her own. Being Stella’s sister means she should really be out of bounds for Ridge.
Ridge knows Meadow is his “one” but he also knows that being with her will always be an uphill battle. Oh how this man drove his way into my heart. His patience, his caring, his understanding, his devotion but most of all his heart, a heart that would sacrifice his own rather that crush the dreams of the person he loves.
This book draws you in and makes you feel so much a part of their journey, both the good and the bad, and it sure Hurts so bad its beyond good !!!! I cried with them, I laughed with them and i totally fell for This Man and This Family.
“Being with you forever doesn’t scare me. The thought of living a life without you does.”
And after you read this book, and get to know Ridge, Meadow and this family, you will feel the same way !!!
RIDGE is the 4th and final book in The Crow Brothers Series. I now have read them all. The 3 books prior to Ridge are #1 SPARK (Jet Crow/Hannah), #2 TULSA (Tulsa Crow/Nikki Faris) & #3 RIVERS (Rivers Crow/Stella Fellowes). Ridge makes up the fourth member of the now famous The Crow Brother’s Band. He is mistaken a lot as being a Crow, but is a Carson. The band may be named The Crow Brothers, but he is a Carson among Crows. He is an honorary family member, and the band has a bond that can’t be broken.
Ridge is his stage name, but when in his personal life he is David. He is very taken with Meadow Fellowes, whose older sister is getting married to one of The Crow Brothers. Meadow has become the band’s honorary little sister. But she has grown-up and twenty-one. Ridge breathes easier when he is with her. She has become his friend, lover, and muse. But time is their enemy. They may not have ended on a good note, but when together always made great music. Their story is rather tragic. From lovers to friends to lovers to…nothing. This is a very, very slow-burn romance. Taking things slow, like at a snail’s pace.
Since this is the last book in the series. I enjoyed seeing what all the Crow brothers are doing, and how their relationships are coming along. It all seems to come together in the end.
Holly Crow!! I mean Carson. This book is my favorite book of this year. I have read a few books from this author but she always finds a way to blow my mind. This is the fourth book in this epic series The Crow Brothers. You can read this book as a stand alone but there are prior characters in this story as well. Plus you will love Jet, Tulsa, and Rivers. This book puts two of my favorite genres together Rockstar and second chance romance. I was hooked right from page one. I devoured this book in one full day.
Ridge aka Dave Carson had to work for where he is now. He belongs to one of the top bands around the world. Dave was found by one of the Crow brothers and now he is on top of the world. He does not take anything for granted because he had a very hard childhood. Dave falls for the beautiful Meadow from the first time he sees her but the timing was all wrong. When he finds out that she is back he wonders of the time of now right. Will Ridge get the girl he has been waiting for or will she leave him again?
Meadow is back from London and she is so excited to see her sister. Her sister is getting married to one of the Crow brothers and she can not be any happier. Meadow and her sister has always been very close because they had to be. They had a very difficult childhood. She does feel like she has grown up but when she sees the beautiful Ridge aka Dave her heart starts to quicken. Meadow feels a connection to Dave but her past is haunting her still. She doesn’t want to end up like her parents. Meadow quickly realizes that she is falling for Dave but can she take the leap or will she protect her heart?
I absolutely loved this book. This is my favorite book of this series so far. The storyline has it all romance, struggles, love, and healing. You will fall in love with these characters right from the beginning. Dave is a beautiful man that has a heart of gold. He will do anything to see Meadow happy. Meadow is a little immature but her past made her that way. She has a very good heart but she is afraid of getting hurt. These two characters have some steamy scenes that will make your toes curl. I love how this author wrote this story in both characters points of views. This makes you feel more of an emotional connection. I can’t wait to see what this author will write for us next.
