“Family consists of the people who show up when you need them most”
Ridge (Dave) is an honorary Crow brother. “I’m a Carson among Crows.” Heck, they might as well be blood related, and not just because he is always mistaken as one. Just like Jet, Tulsa & Rivers, Ridge is awesome guy. Honorable, honest, down to earth just all around great guy. He really completes their band the Crow Brothers. Did I mention he is also hot as hell? “I’ve started collecting quarters in hopes of bouncing them off him one day.” Ridge only wants one thing….Meadow.
“He should be with someone who has less baggage.”
Meadow is the ‘off limits’ little sister of Stella (soon to be Crow). Let’s just say that both of their parents did a number on both of them. Meadow is “A sexy, stunning, and fucking incredible woman.” She is also afraid of giving her heart away. Of being loved. She has seen what happened with her parents marriage and it is stopping her for giving in.
When Dave and Meadow are together it is magical. You can feel their chemistry. They are a match made in heaven. Now they just need to find heaven.
I LOVED this book!! Ridge is giving Rivers a run for his money! (Rivers is my FAV) S.L. Scott has such a way with words that it feels like you are right there as one of family. I couldn’t swipe the pages fast enough. You don’t need to read Jet, Tulsa or Rivers books to enjoy Ridge and Meadow, but you would be doing yourself a favor if you did!!
3.75 Stars
I’m so glad that Ridge was given a happily ever after. Seeing all the Crow Brothers find their everlasting loves left him as the odd man out. His second chance at love with Meadow Fellows wasn’t an easy one.
She made it quite difficult for him which made this difficult to read. I was just as frustrated as he was with the mixed signals she gave and the amount of relief I felt when she finally gave into the connection they shared from the moment they met.
This was a bit slow paced which took me a while to get fully invested in their story, but in the end I was pleased with the outcome.
For me, more of a 4.5/5. A great addition to the Crow Brothers band.
Well edited.
Dave ‘Ridge’ Carson joined the Crow Brothers as a guitarist in Jet’s story. In Rivers’ story, he met Meadow Fellowes, Stella’s sister. They began a relationship, but they kept it a secret. In fact, in the beginning it was more of a fling than a relationship. Meadow was still in college, and she went to London for an internship. When she came back, Dave and Meadow resumed dancing around a relationship. All the while, life kept on going. Dave’s mom fought cancer. Meadow focused on school and her life goals. Almost from the beginning, Dave was all in. However, Meadow’s poor excuse for parents messed up her perception of love. She focused on making sure she didn’t need anyone for anything.
This one takes place over several years. Dave is patience personified. It probably didn’t help him that he was about 4 years older than Meadow and ready to settle down with the woman he loved. Meadow is still trying to figure out what she wants in life, as well as struggling with whether or not to allow love into her life since it seemed to have messed up her parents. And while her struggles were understandable, it didn’t make waiting for her to wake up to the awesome guy waiting for her any easier.
This was really enjoyable, and it was really fun to get to see so many of the previous people make appearances. Looking forward to more of Ms. Scott’s work! Enjoy.
This is my first read by this author and I definitely can’t wait to read the previous books in this series….
This being a second chance it’s also different. Here the heroine Meadow has the fear to get serious, partly Commitment Phobic, where else Rigde the hero is all in. He stole the show for me. He is hot and protective of Meadow’s freedom. He loves deep.
Watching these two break walls And fall for each other was Epic.
Their chemistry is Sizzling and the dialogue written will leave you either hurting for them or swooning. Bottom line….
Ms Scott knows how to keep you hooked from the first page to the last.
Her writing is amazing and her characters as well as side characters are splendid.
Grab this book now. You can definitely read it as a standalone.
Enjoy!!!!
To the world and even to Dave he may only see himself and his alter ego Ridge just as an honorary Crow and Hannahs best friend; but the brothers see it differently, he is family! Ridge begins where Rivers left off, the promise of love and new begginings. Rivers and Stella are getting married, Medow is comming home from her internship in London and Dave aka Ridge is waiting patiently waiting for his love and solemate Medow Soleil fellowes. Both Dave and Medow have demons holding them back from happieness and as a reader your heart breaks for both of them but as the same time yelling at Medow for her to open her eyes and follow her heart, and for Dave to stop being so noble by agreeing to be only friends. You will just have to read and find out if theses two take the advise of others and make a life together. Thank you S. L. Scott for another beuatifully written emotional story of love, friendship, music, brotherhood and family.
I’ve yet to read a book by SL Scott that I’ve not absolutely adored.
The Crow Bros have been an amazing series and where you don’t have to read the prior books for Ridge, it’s always suggested you do because WHO DOESN’T WANT MORE!!!!
Ridge, the honorary Crow Bro doesn’t disappoint. With a past and baggage, he’s struggling to feel deserving of love. But then there is Meadow, with her own past and baggage.
Together the pair has to overcome so much to find everything they never thought they deserved in the other.
Absolutely loved Ridge and Meadow together.
I am so in love with SL Scott and this entire series! Such amazing writing and wonderful characters! LOVED!!
Ridge is one swoon worthy guitarist who will melt your heart!!~ Lana, White Hot Reads
Ridge and Meadow are made for each other. Ridge is so caring and kind hearted and always thinking of Meadow. Even though Ridge is not a Crow by blood, he is family. This fun and loving story is full of love, ding dongs and cherry cheeks. I’m sad to see the Crow Brothers go but hopefully well see them again in another series. Well done S.L. Scott!!!
Beautiful addition to the series. I love Ridges story; he is such an amazing male character that it frustrated me how patient he was Meadow. Meadow is a strong, stubborn and intelligent girl who believes she needs to be independent and not rely on others but David, Dave slowly breaks down the barriers Meadow has securely in place. But is there anything such as no strings attached or just having fun with no feelings involved. Take the journey with Ridge and Meadow as they work toward keeping things casual without feelings and you’ll get your answer.
Absolutely a great rockstar romance read that I devoured in one sitting and left me not wanting this story to end. The characters were written absolutely perfect and the chemistry and development was the perfect escape
Ridge is book 4 in The Crow Brothers series, and while it can be read as a standalone I recommend reading (at least) Rivers prior to this one.
This isn’t your typical rockstar romance, but a second chance story, filled with family, friendship & love. This book is beautifully written, with characters that you cant help rooting for from the very beginning.
On stage he’s Ridge, guitarist for The Crow Brothers, adored by his fans, famously single. But when he puts down his guitar he’s just Dave. Charming, loyal & oh so swoony, Dave only has eyes for one woman, and she’s the one he cant seem to have.
Meadow is the honorary little sister of the Crow’s, working on finishing up her degree and trying to stand on her own. Her past has left her jaded, terrified to commit and let anyone into her heart.
What was supposed to just be a “fling” leaves them both shaken, and Dave will do anything he can to prove they belong together. Will he be able to break down her walls, and prove that happily ever afters do exist?
Ridge is the epitome of swoony hero, and Meadow proves that you can overcome what you’ve been taught, and carve your own path. They are surrounded by an amazing support system of friends who’ve become family, and I love how that family aspect is prominent throughout the story. And then Darcy & Alfie are thrown into the mix. If I didn’t already adore this book, these two characters would have sealed the deal. A crazy, fun Brit & a 9 year old, these two brought the perfect combination of comedy & sincerity.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, heartfelt story about not just finding love, but finding yourself, this is definitely it!
Ridge/Dave Carson is not your typical wild rockstar. You can’t help but fall in love with this character! He is an incredibly passionate, caring man and is so irrevocably in love with Meadow Fellowes.
Meadow Fellowes is so sweet but unfortunately didn’t have the best past experiences growing up. She struggles with trust, commitment, and opening herself up to love.
Dave is the best kind of man for a girl like Meadow. I absolutely love Dave’s character so much. He’s just PERFECT! At times you just want to throttle Meadow, but that’s ok. This book wasn’t just about a rockstar romance but also getting to see Meadow go through this journey in finding herself and navigating around in being able to trust and give that heart away. It was quite beautiful.
This book is funny, pulls at your heartstrings, angsty but all around PERFECT. S.L Scott is an amazing author and really has a way of captivating her readers from the get go.
The books in this series can be read as standalones. Sadly I’ve only had a chance to read Rivers and Ridges books so far. But I can’t wait to go back and read Jets and Tulsas!!!
Dave Carson (Ridge) is not looking for love but it found him in a most unexpected place. As a member of the Crow Brothers band, he had women throwing themselves at him all the time but it wasn’t enough. Meadow’s sister, Stella, is engaged to Dave’s brother, Rivers, so they have known each other much of their life. He knows when he looks at Meadow that she is something special and touches him where no other can. Meadow desires independence in her life since her father warned her that love wasn’t enough. She needed to find herself first before she could commit to anyone else. One night in Austin was all they needed to realize that they were meant for one another. But it didn’t last. Meadow couldn’t stay because she believed her father’s words of caution about being able to stand on her own two feet. She accepted a position in London that would take her away from Dave. He let her go but never gave up hope that they would find their way back to each other again. Fate is sometimes written in the stars but the happily ever after isn’t guaranteed. Anything worth having in life rarely comes easy. Their magnetic attraction, insecurities, ultimate desire to be together and the love of family bring them to the understanding that life would mean nothing if they were apart. Their loving reunion triggers another sort of reunion that brought tears to my eyes. The parents finally learned from their children what was most important in a happy life. Fittingly, the brothers and their wives have so many reasons to celebrate finding their soulmates and, as a family, they do it together.
*Swoon* Ridge is the sexiest, sweetest, hottest, most romantic book boyfriend ever!! I haven’t read a whole lot of Rock Star Romance books, this may be my third. But after reading Ridge, I am very interested in reading MORE Rock Star Romance!! Ridge being the fourth book in The Crow Brothers Series I will start by reading all about each of The Crow Brothers. They all sound very yummy. I’ve already bought the collection!
S.L. Scott writes really wonderful, complex characters. Her characters are real, have real struggles, and they don’t always handle everything thing exactly right…they are realistic and relatable characters!! There were times I got frustrated with them, especially Meadow, but when you thought about where they were coming from it was totally understandable.
The beautiful thing about the Crow Brothers, is they are family. Yes in the band they are all related, except Ridge. He is Dave Carson. But to the Crow Brothers he has become family. They are all about family. It’s the same with Meadow. Her sister, Stella, is married to River Crow. So to the Crow Brothers she is their sister, and they have always looked out for her. This is why I NEED TO READ THE OTHER BOOKS!!! I’m DYING to really get to know each of the Crow Brothers!!! I don’t know if any of them can top Ridge though, he really is something special!!!
I really loved this book, and highly recommend it!!! 5 SUNSHINE STARS for this one!!
Another great book from Suzie in the Crow Brothers series. This story is about Dave “Ridge” Carson and Meadow Fellowes, Stella’s little sister. The 2 of them started out as a casual relationship but by the time that Meadow had to leave for London for an internship, feelings developed but Meadow left because she feels that she needs to prove that she can stand on her own.
Six months later, Meadow is back in the States to complete her last year of college. Meadow and Dave reconnects but Meadow is unwilling to let go of her goals. Dave knows that Meadow is the one for him but he knows that Meadow feels that she has something to prove to herself and the world and he gives her the room to do it but hopes in the end they can finally be together. Both of them have personal issues that they have to deal with and have to learn to open up to each other.
I love reading about Meadow and Dave but also getting to read up on what the Crow brothers are up to with their wives/significant others. And I love getting to read more about Alfie’s and how he keeps stilling “the show” whenever he gets conversations with the entire Crow Brothers and The Resistance family.
There was never a doubt in my mind that Dave “Ridge” Carson would find love. As the “last man standing” for The Crow Brothers, it seemed inevitable but not because of fame, money, or groupies. Dave is genuinely a sweet and amazing guy. Of course someone would sweep him up…
Too bad she swept him up and knocked him on his ass!
Love isn’t easy. Love isn’t always kind. Sometimes it isn’t love holding you back but insecurities-in this case lots of insecurities!
Ridge is swoony. He is kind. He is patient. He is a rock star. What’s not to love!?! But his story isn’t all rainbows and some butterflies can’t fly. Ridge is real and he is hurting. It’s a beautiful story for a character we all love. I’m glad I finally got to “meet” the one who stole his heart!

terrific fourth story in this outstanding rocker series that’s beautifully written. Although this is a stand-alone story it’s great to see Dave become Ridge throughout the series and he’s just as swoon-worthy and sexy as the rest of the boys in the band. He’s smitten with Meadow even though she’s “off limits” but their chemistry is undeniable. Meadow is a wonderful surprise as Ridge’s love interest. What a great couple to complete the series. All the stories this fabulous series features more than just a band full of swoon-worthy rocker hunks and their antics. There’s wonderful family fun and drama, a sweet, emotional, and sexy romance, and great friendship. I’m going to miss the Crow bros and their families. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC and bought the book. 4.5 stars
S. L. Scott you’re the queen! This book was SO. DAMN. GREAT – Literally, Ridge was everything I could have hoped for and more. This second-chance romance is the fourth book in The Crow Brothers series and OMG, I FLOVED this book! I am not going to surprise anyone that follows my reviews by reviewing another rockstar romance because yes, I am a junkie but I absolutely adore the way S.L. Scott writes rockstars. The stories are about the music—absolutely, but they are so much more as well. S. L. Scott writes outstanding heroes/heroines and diverse plots that you can get utterly lost in. I am often compelled to read from start to finish without a break because I get very wrapped up in the story she’s telling. Ridge was one of these books. I started it and read straight through cause I couldn’t get enough of the sexy and sweet second chance romance. And those characters? You just connect with them so fast, you root for their HEA and can get absolutely lost in the delicious chemistry and sexy times! And when I say sexy times, I mean SEXXXY times – cold showers, changing your batteries, and/or changing your panties are all very inherent in a book that S. L. Scott delivers. Ridge exceeded everything I expected for the story and I fell hard for these characters.
Now, I won’t bother to spin a version of the synopsis of this book, because S. L. Scott provides one that’s far better than anything I could say. I will tell you that in Ridge, readers follow Ridge and Meadow as they come together to find their way to their HEA. With Meadow’s past weighing her down like an anchor at sea, she struggles to let Dave/Ridge in. And Dave, the Crow Brother who isn’t a Crow – the outsider who isn’t… The instance chemistry between the two was apparent in Rivers, (the third book in the series) and we weren’t even reading their story from either Ridge or Meadow’s perspective. Ridge is a duel perspective romance so now readers are in their heads and it’s beautiful and oh so right! I seriously loved them together. And while the characters were introduced in the previous book, have no fear, you can absolutely pick up Ridge and read it as a standalone. Of course, I am ‘that’ person who always wants to read things in order and so I will always tell you it enhances the reading pleasure of the book.
I’m quick to throw out S. L. Scott’s name when asked for author recommendations since I love her romances. But S. L. Scott makes that a no-brainer because I’m always impressed that each story while consistent in quality, is so inherently different! It’s easy to support an author who writes this way because I never get bored with her stories. If you haven’t read the Crow Brother Series, I would tell you to one-click them IMMEDIATELY. You will be binge reading them for sure… and it’s a domino affect because soon you will be one-click everything in S. L. Scott’s backstock in short order. It’s basically what I’ve done since I discovered her words… LOL. If you are looking for an outstanding romance that will grip you start to finish, Ridge is definitely going to fit the bill.
I honestly wasn’t sure that SL Scott would be able to surpass my love for River after finishing his book but she certainly did it with Ridge’s story.
I loved Ridge and Meadow’s story. After meeting and having a wild adventure together they end up going their separate ways when Meadow returns to London to finish her studies. The connection between them is so intense that they can’t stop thinking about each other.
With Meadow’s sister getting married and Ridge having the chance to see her again he is going to go out of his way to make her see how perfect they are together. He just has to knock down the walls she has put up around herself.
SL Scott has delivered an absolutely brilliant second chance romance that will captivate you from the very beginning until the very end. Her words deliver the passion, love and family feels straight through to your heart. She had me swooning, laughing and feeling all the pain making this one of my favourite reads.
One word, Dave. That is all. I love him.
