Great substantial romantic read!
Sometimes it is not the complexities of life that derail us, but rather, the complexities of the inner workings of our brain that we feed into. The story was a good length, well written and it flowed quite nicely. This was a novel that pulled at this reader’s heart strings; poignant moments that led to tears while reading. Electrifying chemistry between the two main male and female characters, with sensual scenes and angst culminating in a happy ever after. Lovely to see “family” by choice so lovingly close to each other. Great camaraderie between the musicians and their families.
This reader highly recommends this novel.
I voluntarily received an advanced review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.
This story is a story of growth in one’s heart and soul; it is a story of ones strength to not give up for love. Now to Dave and Meadow’s journey of love. Dave is very patient with his need to be with Meadow, but it his patience running thin. He wants more Meadow in his life, but Meadow is so determined to be independent in her life. Meadow didn’t have the best role models in her life; she doesn’t want it all to come to end like what she has been told as a child.
Dave aka Ridge knows the right words as he describes his passion for Meadow.
“Love is finding the love of your life in a crowd of ten thousand because she’s the only one who exists to me”
Love for these two is finding the balance to know when to push and pull. It takes time for them and for Meadow to see that it is ok to love and let someone be there for them. She is so strong and always thinking as if the other shoe will drop. Dave will give her anything, but he knows not to do it. He knows that this is not race it is a marathon. She realizes it when she tells him about her opportunities instead of tell her what to do he listens.
When I wanted his input, I didn’t realize how much hearing it would me to me.
“You’re incredible and intelligent. They’d be lucky to have you”.
That is what she needed and yet again Dave had the right words. I loved this couple to the bitter end and I could lost in eating Ding Dongs and emerald eyes to have more from them.

Everything I expected and more!!
Ridge is an honorary Crow Brother and Meadow is like their sister and was suppose to be off limits but one look between them and the sparks were undeniable.
Meadow doesn’t seem like a fan of Ridge, who is Dave’s alter ego, but she finds herself in deep with Dave. When she leaves for six months she finds that she cared more than expected. Dave finds that he misses a part of himself he didn’t think he had while Meadow was gone.
Suzie, does it again! She leaves you raw, emotional and so in love with her characters.
Oh my, what can I say except that Ridge captured my heart. Ridge is the 4th book in the Crow Brothers series, it is a stand alone however the other 3 books are just as good as this one. And personally I think everyone would fall in love with all the guys from the band. I am a huge fan of S.L. Scott’s work and have read many of her books. They grab you from the beginning and are swoon worthy.
After starting this story the line “if you love something set it free….” kept going through my mind. Ridge/Dave is really a great guy – thoughtful, patient, romantic and a rock star. Meadow is young, working hard to get her degree and a great learning opportunity is part of her future. She is proud and determined to be an independent individual. . . maybe a little too determined.
This is a well written book with a scene stealer in Alfie. While it is a romance I would say it is a book about finding yourself and what makes you happy. Sometimes it pays to take a step back and evaluate what is important in your life. This book is a wonderful wrap up to the series
I have not read the previous Crow Brothers books yet, but you can bet I’m going back to read them now although, I can pretty much already figure out the outcomes, I still need to read how they all came to pass in their relationships. Ridge is NOT a Crow by birth but he is a Crow by choice and is their premiere guitarist. Meadow has known the Crow brothers since childhood and should be considered off limits but little sister has her own mind and even knowing how good something is doesn’t convince her that love doesn’t exist. Ridge has his work cut out for him with Meadow but he also needs to learn a few things himself. Some steamy moments and some teary ones as well. While I loved the adults…I absolutely adored Alfie!! <3

Another great book by SL Scott! No surprise there! I was really looking forward to reading about Ridge and Meadow. Ridge aka Dave has been around since the first book with Jet and Hannah. He’s had bit parts until Rivers where he appeared a little more and we knew something had started with Meadow but didn’t know the details. Well now we find out what is happening with Ridge and Meadow and the reason why they seem to have trouble getting together and staying together. As much as I love their story I also love that we see so much of the Crow Brothers and The Resistance and their significant others. It’s like peaking in on a good friend’s life every now and then to see what’s happening!

How is it even possible that each of the books in this series has gotten better than the last?! Perfect ending to the series!
We all remember Ridge, the newest addition to the Crow Brothers. The quiet guitarist that while he doesn’t share the same last name, is still part of this amazing Family. Meadow is Stella’s younger sister, which of course makes her the whole band’s kid sister so the same family rules apply!
These two have unfinished business they both thought they left behind in the desert. A little bit of time passes, but once they see each other again, the sparks fly and neither one knows what to do with it. Especially Meadow, who is still struggling to find her place in the world.
“You’re either going to be the one who leads in life, or the one who’s left behind. Which will you be Meadow?”
This book is filled with all the sweetest, funniest, most heartfelt moments of their journeys through life with and without each other. Meadow is as stubborn as they come, but we can all relate to why she is hesitant. Dave stands solid, trying to show her how perfect they can be together. They have great banter and set the pages on fire with the heat. I felt giddy like a school girl everytime they were near.
“This is about you and me and how every time we’re together, something incredible happens.”
I loved visiting with the whole group as if they were all just as much a part of this story as they were their own. It actually makes me want to start from the beginning so I can swoon all over again. It was kind of bittersweet knowing this series has come to an end. Made me want to read slower and try to savor every moment.
Perfect end to the series but we still have hope of Scott playing catch up with some of the other characters in the future. (hint hint)
This book grabbed on to every heartstring of mine and played all the right notes. Ridge was everything you would be looking for in a book and as a person. Let’s just say I will never think about Ding Dongs in the same way ever again.
This author has a way of bringing so much more to her books than just a rocker romance. She brings depth of characters, real situations that you can identify with and a fresh perspective. She also creates emotional moments that bring you to your knees. These are moments you want to be a part of and never forget. I don’t do spoilers because I don’t think it’s fair to the author. I will tell you if you read this book for no other reason than Meadow leaving to go to the airport, then you’ve got your monies worth. That’s all I’ll say about that. I want to live in that moment.
Yes, there were times I wanted to throttle Meadow and her indecisiveness, but that’s what made her real. How many times in life do we think we’re doing what we want? When really we’ve listened to others and let them form our opinions and ideas and we don’t even realize it.
The phrase, “Youth is wasted on the young” plays a significant role in Meadows life. I get it though. Life experiences make us who we are and why we do and act the way we do.
Ridge/Dave gets this. This is the girl he’s fell for. This girl sees him for him. If he doesn’t let her choose her path he could lose her forever. Meanwhile, he has his own life circumstances to deal with. Seriously, who doesn’t. Sometimes as understanding as someone is life can become too much and you lose your cool. These are all human traits that every person deals with on an everyday basis.
This story brought angst, sweetness, smiles, romance, real swoons and packed the heat. We also got to meet up with favorite characters from the past. This was a real treat for me seeing them again and finding out what is going in their lives. Don’t worry though this book totally stands on its own. If you didn’t read the former books you won’t be lost. However, I would suggest afterwards doing yourself a favor and reading them. You can then decide which one is your favorite. My favorite is… all of them!
Normally, I can zip through a book exceptionally fast. When I was reading Ridge I didn’t want to do that. I took my time to absorb every aspect of this story and the journey my heart was taking. It was more than worth the time and the reflection.
S.L. Scott is an immediate 1-click author for me and stories like Ridge is the reason why. This story was a sweet and emotional journey that will captivate you. I have loved all the characters in this series and Ridge and Meadow will not disappoint.
Dave “Ridge” Carson knows Meadow Fellowes is the one for him, but he also knows truly winning her will not be easy. They have known each other for a long time but Meadow is determined to make it on her own and be independent. Because of this, she only lets Ridge in so far. Since she never had any good role models on relationships and commitment, she is determined to not need a man. But there is something about Ridge.
I absolutely loved Ridge. He was caring, patient, but also very determined. He knew he wanted Meadow, but also knew he had to tread lightly. On the other hand, Meadow knows she cares for Ridge deeply, but does not know how to let love in and because of that, keeps him at arm’s length. Can she truly be independent and let herself love Ridge?
Ridge by S.L. Scott was a story about love, growth, and family. You see a couple who cares deeply about each other, but must learn to navigate through life’s obstacles and that sometimes, together is better than alone.
4.5 stars! Loved it! Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
Ridge has earned 5 sunshine stars from me for making me feel all the things. This whole series is highly recommended to all the rock star romance lovers out there. This perfectly emotional and amazing story just blew me away. Ridge snuck up on me and gripped my heart with his ever-so-perfect ability to love with everything he has.
Dave Carson, aka Ridge, totally shocked me. Why wasn’t I prepared for just how much he was going to sweep me off my feet with his beautiful lines, funny jokes, and tenderness? I just wasn’t but there are no words for me to say how happy I am that I just read the most swoon-worthy book of the year.
Ridge and Meadow have an attraction, a definite lust, and some steaming hot chemistry that leads to some sizzling antics in all the places. Even with all that going for them, they still have a challenge ahead of them and a journey to live if they want to make each other their forever. That is what made this book absolutely everything for me.
This book just had it all. I loved everything about it and there is nothing, absolutely nothing that was not perfectly planned out and written in this book. Suzie really outdid herself here. She made me smile, laugh out loud, clench my thighs, and cry a few tears. I honestly think Ridge, the honorary Crow brother is my favorite because he just knows how to treat a lady, how to say all the right words, do all the right things, and how to fight against the selfishness in himself for the good of others.
“I’m going to need you for a year just to count the colors in your eyes…Emerald and sea, thyme and spring, waterfall and moss, ocean and earth. I can go on about all the greens that make up who you are to me.”
“This world had no meaning until you gave me the green that brought me to life. Vivid. Bright. Intense. Brilliant. Light. You gave me what I never knew I needed until you walked into my life…”
Even though there are no more Crow brothers to write about, that epilogue, no matter how perfect it was, still leaves me wanting more. I hope Suzie finds at least one more book in her where we can meet all the brothers again and catch up with them. Faris Wheel and Tommy are still waiting for their perfect women to show up, so I have hope.
I am absolutely in love with Meadow & Ridge’s love story! There really is so much to love about this book. It’s about overcoming painful messages that we often learn as children that make an imprint on our identity as adults. Even when we want to believe something else for ourselves it’s not so easy to take that path. Meadow & Ridge have amazing chemistry and begin to build on a deep connection when life decisions have an impact on their relationship.
There is so much love, laughter, genuine & unconditional support and family in this story. The characters are truly likable and relatable. It was amazing the interactions Meadow and Ridge had with Jet & Hannah and Alfie, Tulsa & Nikki, and swoony Rivers and Stella. It’s always a good day when the crew of the Resistance make an appearance.
Although this book evokes a lot of feelings it’s the incredible love that wraps you up and shines through. Definitely a must read!!!
Inifinite Possibilities
Suzie never ceases to amaze me with her stories. Dave ‘Ridge’ is so incredibly sweet, very swoon worthy. Meadow is Stella’s sister who has fears that she can’t have her cake and eat it to. I really liked Meadow. She’s careful and cautious. Ridge aww man he makes me SWOON. I think Ridge’s is my favorite out all of the Crow Bros.
The One didn’t exist.
Then I met Meadow.
The band’s honorary little sister was off-limits. Too late for that. She says we’re “nothing serious,” but she’s gotten under my skin and I can’t stop thinking about her. And when I touch her, I know we’re meant to be.
Happy Endings don’t exist.
Not even with Ridge.
My big plans never included falling for a rock star. Too soon for that. He wants to make us a “thing,” and I can’t deny our chemistry is combustible. His persistence is wearing me down, making his proposition hard to resist.
If true love only exists in fairy tales, why am I beginning to believe that Ridge just might be my happily ever after?
WOW!! This was soooooooooo good! Meadow’s & Ridge’s story was flawlessly written and heartfelt! This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster like no other in the best possible way! I loved seeing how much Meadow had changed throughout the book! MUST READ!
I adore this book. A determined rock star, the woman he loves and so many obstacles to work through, Ridge is by far my favorite of the series. A story full of emotion, Dave “Ridge” Carson and Meadow have amazing chemistry and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of their story!
5 out of 5 stars
Ridge and Meadow stole my heart. Their story is as heartbreaking as it is heartwarming. The entire novel kept me on edge just waiting for the next big thing. I loved Ridge – though I loved Dave more! I loved Meadow, but wished a few times she wouldn’t be so headstrong and would have listened to her heart a little more.
This story is the 4th in this series though it could be read as a standalone, BUT I loved having the glimpses of these characters from the previous books to build them up in my mind and really want their story that much more. I think the author did a great job of preparing me to read their story with just enough of them in the previous books to draw my attention, but not enough to let me know their whole stories.
This story had some ups and downs and the couple isn’t even a couple at points in the story. Their lives are crazy – as a rock star would expect – but they manage and that’s what I loved. I think Ridge and Meadow might be up their in my top five favorite fictional couples of all time!
Popping my S.L. Scott cherry with Ridge. I love a good rocker book and was stoked to dive into this one!
Ridge/Dave deserves a medal for lasting through the ‘friend zone’ as long as he did. He never forgot about her. Although the phone does ring both ways, neither of them pursued that option.
Meadow Fellows is a tough cookie, that’s for sure. Having just returned from completing her intern position in London, she is heading back to school for her last year of college. All grown up and ready to face what life throws to her. Even if she’s not ready for what life brings to her plate, a box of ding-dongs will surely ease the pain!
Who would have ever imagined that a Do-Over would start the ball rolling down the lane for the perfect strike!!!
The story is a very slow burning romance. Although labelled that it can be read as a standalone, I was totally clueless on the other characters in the story and their backgrounds. I feel like yes, this is a standalone….however it would be best to read the others in the series before jumping in to this one. There were times like I felt like the outsider listening to a conversation that didn’t belong to me. That’s just me though…I like to know about everyone I’m reading about.
Was a good read and I would definitely read more from this author!

RIGDE is sweet and possessive. I loved this story and all the characters.

Excellent 5 stars
In Rivers’ story, Ridge and Meadow, Stella’s younger sister, met and sparks flew. We saw this relationship develop, but only as “friends with benefits.” Or so we thought. In Ridge, we see that maybe all that we thought is not as it seems. Ridge truly does have strong feelings for Meadow, he just isn’t sure exactly what those feelings are. And there is that pesky detail that she’s living in London doing an internship.
Meadow feels she’s living her best life in London. She knows that she has grown up and she feels herself changing, but the one thing she can’t move past is her confusing feelings for Dave Carson, aka Ridge. Meadow has not dated or even really entertained the thought while in London and she doesn’t realize it’s because of her connection to Dave until she returns to the states. Could they ever move beyond they’re “nothing serious” relationship status?!?
Like the previous books in this series, I fell in love with our leading man and enjoyed watching their story unravel. It was hard for me at times because I got frustrated with both characters. I just wanted to shake them! But, the best things truly do come to those who wait. I guess I’ll let this be a lesson in patience
Ridge isn’t a Crow by blood but he’s a Crow in every other way. Dave “Ridge” Carson is passionate, emotional, and such a strong character. He will melt you with his words. He’s the last man of the group to find his true love and it’s a rocky one but he does get it.
Meadow is a different character. She rubbed me the wrong way a few times. But once she finally let her heart do the thinking everything fell into place.
Together they are so good together. You will laugh, swoon and love as they fall into the happy ever after.
