When ex-SEAL Camden Thursday enters the garage at two in the morning, he’s intent on grand theft auto. Instead he’s confronted with more than a hot car—there’s a sexy mechanic too. His high school crush, wrench in hand, projects a “Dangerous Curves Ahead” warning far more tempting than any joy ride, but Camden isn’t here to try the road less traveled. He’s here to jack a car and prove he can do … do more than manipulate computer code for the black ops service he works for: Norse Security. So while Camden is looking to get physical on this job, he was hoping for someone to punch, not someone to plunder…
Everly Knight is the baddest bad girl in town. As the daughter of a mobster and a name in the auto industry for hot cars, she could rest on her laurels and let her reputation proceed her. However, Everly has a deep dark secret: she wants nothing more than a shiny, new, legal garage all of her own. She’s just a few thousand away from cashing in and figures that one last illegal car theft could finance her legal dreams. That is until the geek from her past shows up as a hunky hero; letting Everly see that it’s possible to become more than just a tough girl.
Camden may be all muscle, but it’s Everly who can stall the entire operation. She holds him hostage and offers an ultimatum: Take her on the ride or find himself a sitting duck for the mob. It’s not a hard choice when the bombshell revs his engine. But with warring goals and secret missions, they’ll find themselves fighting for their futures and racing toward a love they never saw coming.

Great read, recommend this book. Danger and excitement
I adored the battle of wills in this story!
He was a geek in high school who turned out to be a hot ex-SEAL. She’s the girl who always got in problems. She’s also connected to the mob. In order to prove herself worthy of a new, just her garage she decided to steal a car from her dad’s garage. He wants to prove to the other colleagues in the company where he works, that he’s not just the brain but the muscle too.
When their dreams collide, they have to work together to escape the wrath of the mob. Naturally, it doesn’t go without obstacles… and heat between them!
While I loved the action and their sizzling attraction, I was hoping for more drama. It seemed like everything resolved quickly, so in the end, I was surprised I read this book in a matter of hours. The ending seemed to be a little rushed.
4 stars.

Camden Thursday and Everly Knight encounter in garage both with their own work for the night. Enter romance to challenge their task and future. First in Norse security series. Settle in for good read.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
Cam is sick and tired of being pigeon-holed as the team tech. He is a damn SEAL and it’s time the rest of the team remembered that! All he has to do is recover a tech-laden car, easy peasy. Yeah, not so much when he comes face to face with Everley, his former high school crush and now mechanic who may or may not have ties with the local mob!
Everley is sick of living with the shadow of her father and his dodgy dealings. She wants her shop to be legit but legit takes money. She is after the same car as Cam, one she has a seller lined up to buy. But how can she make off with the auto when Cam sticks to her like glue? But when things begin to unravel she is mighty glad to haver her own personal SEAL at her back.
I loved the snappy repartee between these two. Everly also thought Cam was nerdy hot and Cam loved her possible bad girl persona. So although the novel is quite fast paced, they do have a back history that they can work from. The sexy times take a while to kick in, which I thought was more in keeping with the plot pace. Great banter and a whole cast of team mates I can’t wait to meet.
ONE HOT NUMBER!!!
Whoa, it’s getting hot in here. This is one interesting, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention from the start. If you’re looking for action packed, fast paced, nerve racking, nailbiting read with a strong plot and chemistry so hot it could melt the seats. The charactersare well developed and believable. Their personalities are unique with qualities and traits that balance out perfectly. The scenes areso graphic and descriptive it paints a fantastic backdrop that really makes the storyline pop. Twists and turns abound with enough suspense, drama and danger that’s guaranteed to whet your appetite. Leslie did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly. Fantastic job Leslie, thanks for sharing this awesome read with us.
**I received a copy of Ride with the SEAL from Net Galley in exchange for a voluntary and honest review**
Ride with the SEAL by Leslie North is the first in her Norse Security series. I’ve read the author before and wasn’t disappointed by Ride with the SEAL. It’s well worth the four star rating that I and other readers have given this book.
Camden Thursday a former Navy SEAL is very comfortable behind his computers and tech at Norse Security but he decided he wanted to prove to his bosses that he could work this Aeon Turbo G90 case. But little did he know that someone else would be in the garage also trying to steal the car. Everly Knight wants badly to open her own garage that isn’t controlled by the Mob like her Dad is. Between Cam and Everly they steal the car and go on the run from not only the mob but her sketchy buyer who wants the car for what is found in the trunk. Can the Geek and the Lady Grease Monkey escape two shady gangs, appease Loki who’s Camden’s boss and keep their hands off each other on a cross country trek?
Everly Knight loves all engines and loves restoring them even better but her heart is set on setting up her own garage that isn’t controlled by the local Mob like her Dad’s. The money the Aeon Turbo G90 will set her up for a year until she gets established. But first she has to deal with her “buyer” and being on the run with a Geek who’s an ex-SEAL who she’d love to take for a ride in more ways than one.
** spoiler alert ** Camden has always been good with technology, but is now determined to prove his worth in the field. Everly is determined to escape her illegal life for a legal one. Both need to steal the same car for different reasons. Will they be able to work together? Will they be able to keep their hands to themselves?
Loved how these two come from the same background but are completely different. Camden was definitely a geek at heart, but loved how he was determined to protect Everly even when mad at her. I didn’t blame Everly for doing what she could for her deal, but was proud when she stood up for herself. Good read!
This is a fast paced, danger filled, suspenseful story of a hacker ex-SEAL an the beautiful thief he encounters on his first mission out of the office. It’s gritty and still sweet and steamy, I just loved it!!!!
This is the beginning of a great new series from Leslie North! Camden is the tech guy with Norse Security, a former SEAL and on his first solo mission for Norse getting back the high tech car taken when he sees Everly for the first time since school. Everly is a woman who can handle herself and knows how to fix a car, but this latest deal will have her over her head and face to face with Camden, who has changed a lot since school. I enjoyed reading Camden and Everly’s story and can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of this series.
The action is non-stop and the romance is sizzling-hot!
Cam is assigned to retrieve a specific car, a high-tech Aeon, for the government. Unfortunately, it’s currently located in Everly’s dad’s garage, with Everly perched under the hood. The “hey don’t I remember you from high school?” is going to have to wait, as there are thugs with guns determined to make sure neither of them succeeds in getting the car.
The chase is on, leading the geeky ex-SEAL and his feisty mechanic on a road trip that can only be planned one bickering, adrenaline-fueled step at a time. Along the way, Cam and Everly figure out who the bad guys are, who can and can’t be trusted, and just exactly what they each thought about the other back in the day. And what they’re going to do about it now.
This book was a lot of fun to read, and like the best roller-coaster ride, I honestly wished it would never end. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
