This was so cute, I really enjoyed it. I absolutely loved Grayson’s banter and humor, many times he had me cracking up. Lucy was a smart girl, maybe a tad strange with her lists but she knew what she wanted and that’s what she went after until Grayson comes into her life and blows her Manlist to shreds. This was a quick read but had so much depth, I read it in a day but it was because I couldn’t stop. I will definitely be rereading this one over and over
I just loved Grayson and Lucy!!! It was such a sweet and sexy read! Grayson stole my heart and i dont even mind one little bit(I just wanna keep him for myself)! I could absolutely understand Lucy and her need for control, and I love how Grayson was able to work through that need. Love this so much!!!
I enjoyed reading this book so much. I laughed a lot, cried a little and loved every minute of reading about Lucy and Grayson. Lucy is a graduate student who is also kind of a control freak. She loves to make lists and research. Her first blind date winds up in a high speed chase and the way Lucy gets out of it is fun to read along with her reaction to the cop who rescues her. Grayson is a cop, one who truly cares and wants to help people. Their first meeting is explosive and funny and you just cannot wait for them to have more encounters. With the help of Lucy’s thesis advisor and Grayson’s chief of police, Lucy and Grayson are thrown together to film a documentary on police and their interactions with the public for Lucy’s thesis. Boy do the sparks fly…not to mention the witty conversations. Unfortunately, due to an event that happened when Lucy was very young, Lucy does not feel that she can ever have a forever relationship with Grayson. So what happens when they fall in love with each other and Grayson wants the “til death do us part” with Lucy? I promise that you will love reading this book to find out the answer.

Ride With Me by Ashley Hastings. I gave this book 5 stars.
OMG!!! This is my 3rd book I have read by Miss Hastings, it was fanfreakingtastic. Once again she takes us to Peacock, Mississippi with each book she has outdone herself.
This story’s about Grayson Jackson an officer in the Peacock police Dept. and Lucy Bennett whom is a college student studying to become a journalist. There is so much that happens in this book- I can not do it justice , with my simple words, but trust me when I say it is worth your time in reading it. It is a steamy hot emotionally charged book with substances, and at times a little funny, and others really heartbreaking . It’s a standalone romance novel, the only connection with the other 2 books is really just the .town .
I am quickly becoming a huge fan of this new author Ashley Hastings, which in my book has a huge successfully writing career ahead of her. Thank you for your gift of imagination and taking me on a ride with you
I loved loved this! I enjoyed reading Lucy and Grayson’s story, especially after reading His Wife and Magic Man. Lucy has issues dating cops and Grayson is one. But you can’t deny their immediate chemistry and attraction and that they keep getting pulled to each other. Even though Lucy goes through her moment of panic, I am so happy Grayson found a way to have her see they cannot live without each other. I also enjoyed laughing a lot with this one because it was not only romantic and their scenes sexy, their banter was totally hilarious!

This is the first time reading this author. Lucy will be quite the character that is the first to snag you in this. She will also have you in stitches at times with the things that fly out of her mouth. When she crosses paths with Grayson then you are a goner not leaving this one except for air once in awhile. The amount of effort Grayson introduces is the right stuff for me. This author will take you on quite the ride if you allow with you liking every bit of the way. How the biggest obstacle is overcome is the one that will keep you on the toes until it is revealed.
A great story line with interesting characters I enjoyed. This book is well written and entertaining.
Lucy dad was a police officer who loved doing his job. one night her GMA woke her up because something had happened to him. she lost him. she decided that she wasn’t going to date a police officer. she meets Grayson who is a police officer and she does her ride along with him. they have this hot chemistry and it’s magnetic. the story progresses and it’s awesome. he wrote her a long letter and it is so sweet you may need tissues for it
Such a great story. Lucy get the opportunity to ride along with a police officer for her graduate research. The chemistry with Grayson was unexpected. But will their past be too much for their budding romanace?
I enjoyed this book from beginning to end. It was great having characters that are well developed and engaging and have plenty of chemistry. The flow of the storyline was steady and smooth. I love this author hers book always entertain me.

After reading this book, I am impatiently awaiting the next!! I must be living in the WRONG part of MS and need to be in ‘Peacock’ ASAP!! Bacon eating pigs?? Ha! The struggle was real for Lucy to get over her reals of loving a cop, but I’m glad she realized Grayson was worth it. He was determined to not let her give up on their love…especially after he was shot. She’d be crazy and miserable the rest of her life if she’d have let that hunk of a man go. Great love story about fighting for what they wanted and winning!!

First book that I have read from this author and I thought it was a good read. It was a quick read and a good storyline that will keep you entertained and wanting more. The chemistry between Lucy and Grayson was so good. I mean who doesn’t love a hot cop. Loved that they were able to get the HEA they both deserved.

With every book in the series I fall more in love with the town of peacock and I wish I could just pack up and move there. This book was sweet and funny with lots of laughs, as are the other books I’ve read that are set in Peacock. There are some real laugh out loud moments especially when you get to Lucy’s blind date arrest by none other than Officer Grayson.

*Spoilers*
This book was very hard for me to read as my husband is now a cop, I have irrational fears about the job, and likely always will. Also, I lost my dad when I was younger, although not nearly as young as Lucy and not from him being a cop, but military. When I read the prologue and was already crying thinking about my father and the past, as well as all my fears. Within the first chapter though I was on to laughing because Lucy is just like me with the lists. I have always been a little anal about making lists, I had pro/con list for about everything after my dad died and all through high school and college. It took a man like Grayson (my husband) to finally make me live life and not just make a list about it. But all that is beside the point.
I am happy that I read this book last. From reading the other books by Ms. Hastings, I knew that Lucy and Grayson get married and have kids. While that gave away the ending for me since I knew where they wound up, it was nice to read about how they got there and what trials they had to work through. It made so much about how they are in later books make so much more sense than it did before. Peacock, as I have thought previously, is my kind of town. All the characters remind me of someone I know, even if it is me or my husband most of the time.
Ashley Hasting has a true gift, and her writing is very enjoyable and easy to relate to for me. She does a great job building her characters and making the reader feel what they are reading which is beyond excellent. I am so happy that I have been able to not only read one of her books, but several. I look forward to more by her, and just know in my gut that they will be just as well done as the Peacock book grouping has been.

I really enjoyed this book. A cute plot idea is turned into something so much more by the addition of some heavy baggage and deep emotions. I liked Lucy and my heart hurt for her. I could understand where she was coming from. I’ve experienced that desperate need to have control and her longing for safety and security. Grayson is one of the good guys but he is one hundred percent bad boy. I loved how once he laid eyes on Lucy, his footloose and fancy free days were over and he was all in and the chase was on. Part sweet, part steamy and totally swoon worthy, I thought that this was a truly wonderful romance.
Lucy is a journalism student who is trying to find her soulmate and Grayson is a local police officer just looking for his next one night of fun. These two meet and its like the planets align. There are definitely some hiccups along the way but love prevails for these two. It was a sweet romance with a dash of combustible steaminess. Definitely a good read.

This was a fun insta-love kind of romance with some real heart clenching moments. I was instantly sucker punched in the heart with the prologue. But there are some great entertaining moments to help balance the sad scenes. Lucy is a young woman who loves control. I related to her because I love having order and lists too. I mean who doesn’t? Then enters Grayson. Mr. Hot Cop. Well, a man in uniform? Hard to resist that.
At first, it seems that Grayson is a bit of a playboy cop and Lucy and Grayson have different ideas about what a relationship should be. So it seems unlikely that they would get over these barriers. But their chemistry seems to override it in the beginning. While I did enjoy the flirty interactions between Lucy and Grayson, I was slightly annoyed with how quickly the relationship exploded. Especially because Lucy has such an aversion to dating cops, the speed at which their relationship took hold was surprising. I did love how Lucy took charge and took a step back to really assess her feelings. I would have liked this to have happened earlier in the story. At the same time, I do understand why it panned out the way it did. Especially when Grayson pulled out the big guns and showed how romantic he could really be. And he even employed some of Lucy’s techniques, the same ones he laughed at when they first met. This was perhaps my favourite part of the story. It was so sweet and endearing. Ashley Hastings has written a sweet, heartfelt story that shows sometimes you need to give fate a helping hand to get what you want.
Grayson and Lucy will touch your hearts and have you cheering them on this adorable story. Lucy has her organized lists to get her through life so when she goes on a date that was set up by a friend she was mentally checking off the items on her man list. When her date gets spooked and decides it is time to go, Lucy enters into his car and boy does everything go down hill from there. Grayson one of the officers on the scene, laughs at Lucy’s nervous out pouring but they also endear her to him. Lucy never wanted to date or become involved with an officer of the law because she lost her father to the career but the more time she spent with Grayson the stronger their feelings became. Will she have second thoughts and give in to the feelings that she know is love for Grayson? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
Finding the right man to build a safe future with is not going the way Lucy had planned. Her list of conditions is absolutely not applicable to Grayson. He is a policeman and Lucy’s fear is that, like her father, he will be killed while performing his work.
Grayson has never had a relationship before, only one-night stands for him, until he meets Lucy. He soon sees a future for them.
Where Lucy does not change much in her story in her character and insecurities, I think the structure of Grayson’s character is great. Where it seems that he first only wants sex with Lucy, he develops into a sensitive man who even pours out his heart in a love letter, so sensitive!
The love scenes are beautifully described without being vulgar.
