He loved her the moment they met. But she belonged to his best friend. While he’s driving, an accident kills Sunny and injures Addie, and Kai almost can’t bear to be with her. But they can’t stand to be apart. She’s smart, strong, not afraid to stand up for herself. He’s good at what he does, embarrassed by his family, strong enough to stand up to his father, harboring intense feelings of guilt over Sunny’s death. Of Aboriginal descent, she never knew her family, bouncing around the foster care system. He had a regular family upbringing, aside from the fact that his father is a racist. This is such a beautiful story. The book is well written, and the story moves right along – I was nearly done before I realized it. Kai and Addie are absolutely explosive together, as they navigate their new world together. And Rem – OMG! – the best kind of friend for keeping her secrets, and then spilling them at exactly the right time. This is my second book from this author – she’s rapidly become a favorite, and I’m looking forward to the third book in this series.

I knew from the small lead-in at the end of the first book in this series that Ride Dirty, Cowboy was going to be angsty and emotional, and Elle Thorpe certainly didn’t disappoint. However, she tempers all that angst with some oh, so sexy fun, and a cowboy you just can help but fall a little in love with. Between guilt, racism, family drama, and some miscommunication, Addie and Kai have plenty of hurdles in their way, but the chemistry is so good between this pair that I was rooting for them all the way. As I mentioned, there is a lead-in to this book at the end of Talk Dirty, Cowboy, and I’ll admit that it had me tapping my foot in anticipation, but this one still works well as a standalone. Several of the characters may be in both books, but the real focus is the couple, and this one is most definitely all about Addie and Kai. Both characters tug at the heartstrings and they are just so good together. This book also has a small tease to pique the interest for the next book in the series, and it looks like it’s gonna be a doozy. All I know for sure is that if the first two books are any indication, I won’t be disappointed.
This book had me sobbing like a baby… I really wish I was kidding. Mrs. Thorpe sure knows how to write a heart wrenching, beautiful story. This book had me sucked in and I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. Kai… man he was a beautiful man. Him and Addie had crazy chemistry and their love story was so romantic. Talk about swooning! I can’t wait for Rem’s story.

Ever since reading Talk Dirty, Cowboy, I’ve been dying to get this in my hot little hands and it was everything I hoped it would be and more. Kai and Addie’s story did not disappoint. Addie thinks Kai hates her and when they are thrown together to follow the rodeo circuit (Kai as a bull rider and Addie as a reporter,) she learns that’s just not true. He’s been keeping his feelings hidden for a while for several reasons and when all the truths and secrets are revealed, there’s a chance he’ll lose everything. This book gave me all the heat, heart, and swoony cowboy goodness that I love and I can’t wait to see what Elle Thorpe has in store for us next.
After that cliffhanger ending of Book 1 that acted as a taster of what was to come for this book, I have been impatiently waiting to find out what happened. The book begins right back there in the mix of things and boy does it start off with all the feels and gets your heart racing. Ride Dirty Cowboy follows Addie and Kai as they navigate their emotions after the crash, battling with the guilt over Sunny, their mutual attraction to one another and the reality that life goes on.
Ride Dirty Cowboy has a whole lot of heart, a powerful story that tackles guilt, loss, love and racism. Addie is an Aboriginal woman who is given the chance to tour the US as a journalist with the rodeo circuit, she realises this means spending time with Kai (who she believes hates her) but takes the opportunity anyway. What she doesn’t expect is to encounter the hatred all because of the colour of her skin. I adored Addie in this book, she is strong, driven, sensual, passionate and just wants to belong. Kai, God I loved this man! They call him ‘Frost’ because he is cool and a man of few words. Once he begins to melt around Addie *swoon* he is loyal, he wants to be the best he can be, he loves hard and he talks dirty!
Elle’s writing was exceptional, I thought the story held it’s pace throughout and I found Addie and Kai as well as other secondary characters, especially Rem very easy to understand and become connected to. There is a touch of humour in the friendships; but the angst in this novel is what I really loved! Yes the racism played a big part in this book and serves as the stronger message; but the survivors guilt because of how Addie is idolised as the grieving girlfriend is what really took the emotionality up a notch for me
I highly recommend reading this book, you won’t be disappointed! What a story and what an epilogue…….I need to know what is going on, like yesterday!
Addie and Kai’s story will make you cry, feel sad and hopeful for the future. This story really packs a punch with the racial tensions, grief and loss and all the angst. I loved this story.

I love this book! The love that Kai and Addie have made my heart soar. The pair made me curious from book 1 in the series and watching them connect was angsty but beautiful. Kai is so swoon worthy. The obstacles the two overcome to get to their hea is bumpy but the end result is so worth it. Ride Dirty, Cowboy is sexy, angsty and all consuming. It will leave you in the feels. Kai can ride me dirty any day of the week. Those cowboys will make your heart flutter.
Oh Elle, she has now been added to my top cowboy writers list! She has written some of the sexiest and best swoon worthy cowboys ever. Easily in my top 5 cowboy writers.
I was so happy to get Kai’s story. He was such a mystery in Talk Dirty, Cowboy(book1) that I needed to know more about him and why he was the way he was with Sunny and Addie. Then that ending I mean come on!!! To have to wait to get the full story on how that ended. But man I was not prepared for it. But did I ever fall in love with Kai. He broke my heart and just melted it as well lol.
Addie, this young lady. I didn’t know nor did I expect everything she had going on in her life. But to see how strong she was through everything she has been through in life was just amazing. She was such a kind hearted person and I adored her. She broke my heart with some of the things she did at the end but I understood her meanings behind them.
I again loved everything about this book. There were certain things I thought that were kind of voiced a little repetitively but other than that this books was amazing. Kai and Addie’s story needed to be told and needs to be read by everyone!
4⃣.5⃣

Book 2 in the Dirty Cowboy series and the first that I have read from this author. I really enjoyed it. Great characters and story line. Loved Addie and Kai. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is a totally new to me author, but she does have several books out. I’m not sure if I can do this book justice, but I’m going to try my best! I will just begin by saying, OMG! This is definitely not a light hearted, easy going romance. Instead, this author tackles tough issues, that some might find hard to get through. I had so many different feelings while reading this story, it’s hard to settle on just one. I felt sadness, and awkwardness, and a bit of outrage, but overall, a sense of rightness permeated this story. I couldn’t help feeling, right from the beginning, how perfect Addie and Kai were for each other, despite the many obstacles standing in the way of their happiness.
Addie has lived a life of loneliness. She grew up a product of the Australian foster care system, abandoned by her parents. And just when she thinks she might be on the track to happiness, tragedy strikes, once again, leaving her alone. But out of that tragedy, she is given a new assignment, that takes her around the world, searching for…..something.
Kai is chasing his dream. Along the way, he finds friendship, almost a brotherhood. A horrific accident leaves him questioning everything, including his feelings for a certain woman he doesn’t think he deserves to be having feelings for!
This story had me all over the place. I was an emotional wreck, right from the beginning. There are some really harsh parts to this story, that might be difficult for some readers. But beyond that, this is a story about overcoming obstacles, keeping true to yourself, and finding love where you least expect it. It was a great story, and I’m definitely going to have to go back and read the first book in the series!
WOWSER. This story is so absolutely fantastic. I devoured it. The chemistry and heat between the characters was off the charts. The storyline with its ups and downs was brilliant and so well written. Even the sensitive parts were done so beautifully. I absolutely loved every single word of this whole book. I am looking forward to reading the next book and the ones about the children.
Cowboy reads are my go to and not many do them better than Elle Thorpe.Holy cow! I was not prepared for this ride but it was so worth the twists and turns Elle Thorpe puts her cowboy and his woman through. The first two books I read by Ms. Thorpe were engaging and stories I could not put down. Ride Dirty, Cowboy is equally as engrossing with a bit more grit and angst. The end of book one, Talk Dirty, Cowboy, left the reader in limbo as to who would remain to have their stories told.
Not one to give away a major plot point, the surviving cowboy suffers deeply not only the loss of his friend, but also being in love with his girlfriend. This well plotted and developed book hits a lot of deep issues: survivor’s guilt, loving someone you feel you don’t deserve, friendship, racism (which is sadly not only an American problem but also a problem in Australia) guilt, loyalty, and family secrets.
Ms. Thorpe’s characters are so well-developed, they immediately become like old friends. Addie is a beautifully crafted, broken character. I absolutely adore her. Abandoned by her family, as many Aborigine children were, she grew up in care but with dreams of being a journalist some day, far from her small hometown. When given her big break it might very well cost her the very person her heart holds dear.
The cowboy is equally as broken by his survivor’s guilt, his love for a woman his family will hate, and he feels he doesn’t deserve. With great skill and beautiful words Ms. Thorpe puts these two beautifully broken souls back together by allowing them to find each other. However, not before she runs them through a meat grinder before she reconstructs them. I could not put this book down. There are too many ways to let spoilers slip, so suffice it to say Ride Dirty, Cowboy is one of my favorite reads so far this year. I highly recommend you grab this book and settle in for one hell of a ride.
This story started with a bang and just blossomed to such an unexpected good read. I loved Kai and Addie’s character total opposite but both was holding emotional baggage that will have you in an emotional state. I enjoyed how their character blossom to such great characters that you will be cheering for their HEA. This was my first read by the author and it did not disappoint. If your a fan of cowboy genre than this romance story is for you.
This is the 2nd book in the cowboy series & can be read as a stand alone though I’d recommend reading book 1 first. Addie & Kai had their differences in book 1 and it was interesting to see how they’d react to each other in this book. They definitely had some challenges they had to get past and in Kai’s case as well, he had family issues he needed to deal with as well. My heart broke while reading this book but it was put back together by the end.
I legit had a full blown, brain numbing, body draining, panty melting, breakdown reading this book. Elle Thorpe’s second book in her Dirty Cowboy Series has got to be my favorite book of 2020. “Ride Dirty, Cowboy” is an incredibly hot, sexy, and emotional read filled with swoony cowboy goodness.
Kai is a at the top of his game, set to take the bull riding world by storm. After a tragic accident takes his best friend’s life, Kai finds himself riddled with guilt for being the driver of the vehicle that took his life and injured his girlfriend. The girlfriend he is secretly in love with.
Addie is a small town journalist, she is strong and beautiful. Abandoned by her parents as a child and growing up in the foster care system has made her acutely aware of the importance of friends and family. After the accident, a scarred and lonely Addie decides to join the American leg of the rodeo tour as a media liaison.
Throughout the book, Kai and Addie are drawn together and pulled apart over and over again – for the obvious reasons and for some less than obvious ones that will pull at your heartstrings. Wanting to keep this a spoiler free review, all I will say is that, when they finally get their happily ever after you will be giddy with happiness for them because the love they share is that incredible. TBR this fantastic book and if you haven’t read “Talk Dirty, Cowboy” Book 1 in this series, TBR that as well. I look forward to the next book and the journey Elle will take us on. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
This was a sexy, sweet, very well done story with a HAF cowboy and the one that wins his heart forever with a few drama throw into the storyline to keep you entertained

Ride Dirty, Cowboy in the second book in the Dirty Cowboy series and absolutely incredible! From the first page until the last this book was unputdownable. I really loved the relationship between Addie and Kai, their attraction and chemistry. Addie & Kai’s story is sweet, angsty, full of pain, loss, passion, heat, love, and will give you all the feels. It’s a beautifully written story, one I loved, and most definitely recommend.
I have been DYING for this book after the way Talk Dirty, Cowboy ended. I needed to know what happened. Kai and Addie’s story does not disappoint. The more books I read from Elle the more and more I fall in love with her writing, her characters and her stories. She isn’t afraid to shy away from tough topics and does such a great job of writing them.
Kai and Addie’s story was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. I loved the chemistry between the two of them from the very start. However, Kai felt that he couldn’t have her, that he should have her. Addie was Sunny’s and in his mind would always been Sunny’s. Addie is heartbroken over the loss of Sunny and recovering from her injuries when she is offered a job working the Rodeo circuit and interviewing everyone involved. Kai and Addie can only avoid their attraction to one another for so long….
I loved being able to follow Kai and Addie on the Rodeo circuit. It is so fun to see more of the Bull riding world. Kai and Addie’s connection, their bond and their shared loss of Sunny. Addie’s attitude and gracefulness when it came to handling Kai’s father.
Like Talk Dirty, Cowboy this one also ends on a little cliffhanger and I can not wait to see what happens next!
Ride Dirty, Cowboy is a MUST READ for anyone who loves cowboy romances with some drama and steam!
Outstanding!!! This series started out with a bang and the author did not let up with Ride Dirty Cowboy. The book is very emotional and deals with such things as loss, anger, guilt, forgiveness, love and so much more. The storyline is very well written with raw emotional times that touch the heart. The characters are very well defined and I just fell in love with them more and more.
If you’ve read the synopsis, it gives you a very good premise of the storyline, so I won’t repeat it. But what it doesn’t tell you is how addictive the storyline and characters are. I found I couldn’t put the book down because I simply had to know how things were going to play out.
Kudos Ms. Thorpe for another phenomenal read. A book that this reader highly recommends grabbing up. While it could be read as a standalone, I Highly recommend reading book 1, Talk Dirty Cowboy first. 2 Thumbs up and 5 stars for a great read and bring on Sexy Dirty Cowboy, Book 3, I can’t wait.
Ride Dirty, Cowboy is a story that gripped hold of my heart right from the start. Two people who have a connection that is soul deep. As guilt in every form tries to smother what Addie and Kai feel for each other, these two will need to hold on tighter than a bull rider does to succeed in a future. As old ways, small minds and ghosts linger to hinder their love, it will take a rodeo clown jumping in to give these to a fighting chance. Their story was emotional, original, heartfelt, passionate and one that will own your soul.
