Susanna Tawnie is trapped with no clue as to how to get herself out of the mess she’s created for herself. For a year, she’s been happy living with her roommates, two men who would do anything for her and, to her delight, to her. Yet, life has dealt her a sexy twist, as she’s gone from single woman to dating both her roommates. There’s only one catch, however. Neither man knows she’s seeing the … the other one.
Caiden Grisham is easygoing, spontaneous, and prefers his days at the beach. The only thing he loves more than surfing the Atlantic waves is his time alone with Susanna, the roommate he’s been crushing on for quite a while. His world brightens when, just before Thanksgiving, she finally agrees to be his girl. However, then Molly Bennet breaks up with their roommate, Brandon Wallace, and now Susanna is more than intrigued at a lifestyle she’s merely glimpsed.
Life was structured for Brandon and he looked forward to the upcoming holidays. That is, until the day before Thanksgiving, his submissive, Molly Bennet, decided she wanted to be released and walks out of his life, leaving him forlorn and lost. Yet, his heartbreak turns to pleasant confusion when Susanna steps in to fill the void left by Molly, desiring for Brandon to train her to be his submissive. Yet, what if Caiden discovers her interest in Brandon’s lifestyle?
The cage Susanna created for herself begins to close in on itself as her roommates get closer to discovering her duplicity, and she’s desperate to find a way out of the chaos she created. Yet, she can’t deny how both men, combined, complete her, giving her the best of both worlds – one carefree and romantic, and the other, dominant and structured. She doesn’t want much, just both men to be hers. Is it too much to ask Santa to bring her?

An almost clean Reverse harem triad story. Susanna is in love with both her roommates, Brandon and Caiden. They are polar opposites and both give Susanna something different, neither of which she can bear to lose. How long can she keep the men in the dark about her relationship to them both? The book describes the characters very well and all three characters as a result ended up likeable. Susanna’s agonising indecisions are very well told reminding us of ourselves at times when we have what feels like an insurmountable dilemma. Loving two men at once may have its ‘rewards’ but at times very hard – no pan intended. The ‘’two is a company, three is a crowd’’ adage is more than true for this situation. Susanna’s one wish to Santa, is to find a solution to her desperate need to ‘’have her cake and eat it’’ However, sometimes we can’t make everyone happy. Or can we?! The book is a charming tale of 3 people who find themselves in an unconventional situation. It is a very well told and well edited work. It is tending towards a HEA and I can’t wait for the sequel.

I enjoyed this story, it strays outside my normal comfort zone of paranormal. But let’s be honest, most of the books I have been reading have, because if I find an author I like, I want to read more from them. I enjoy Robbie’s books, I enjoy his voice, and I enjoy the fact that you can tell he likes what he does. There are people who you read the book and it is just dull and sad, and I don’t mean the story, I mean the voice. It is like the person doesn’t want to be writing, and so while they do, they impart their feelings. It reminds me of the movie “Like water for chocolate” which deals with food and how your emotions can dictate how the food tastes. There are a couple of places that the story slows down a little too much for me, but since I don’t read a lot of Contemporary Romance, that may be the generalized style.
Back to the story, I am not particularly a fan of Susanna’s and that is mainly because she is playing with fire. And not the good kind of fire, like literal fire. No she is playing with emotions, and feelings, and honestly why treat people bad who you say you care about. I don’t think she actually meant to be in her situation, but when you let parts of your body lead you astray, then you have to figure out how to get back on track.
I think that overall this is a good book because it pulls feelings out of the reader. You may not like Susanna, or you may. Either way you have an emotional response to a book, and I think that is the best type of book there is. One that pulls you in, regardless of how it makes you feel, it makes you feel.
This story had me thinking of the line “oh what web we weave” ….
The author brings strong characters and weaves an emotional and sexy love triangle with two unsuspecting male roommates and one woman in love with each of them. He brings laughter and tears along with the sizzling hot romances. It’s a short , fast paced story and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
A very good quick read. Wonderfully written. A new author for me and one I will continue to read.
I received this book free and am leaving this review voluntarily.
This story is as hot as the Florida sun.

Sometimes what you need is something you didn’t even know you were looking for!
Susanna moves to Florida, from the Midwest, to get away from the snow and her disfunctional parents.
She answers an ad on Craigslist for a roommate and ends up with two. Caiden, a soft spoken college professor and quintessential surfer dude; and Brandon a hard working OCD corporate guy. Combined, they meet every one of her fantasies and dreams, not that she was looking for a relationship, much less two at the same time. They live in harmony for a year and form a familial bond, each one getting what they have been missing in their own life from the others.
Caiden treats Susanna like a princess, very giving, he is flowers and poetry. Brandon is the exact opposite, he likes things done according to a strict schedule and to specific standards, very much a Dom that enjoys a Sub.
When Susanna finds her self attracted to both, loving Caiden and everything that he represents she begins a relationship with him. She however is just as attracted to Brandon and his intriguing Dom/Sub ways. When his Sub leaves him , she volunteers to step and fill the void asking him to introduce her to his world. “Yet, she found her heart caught between the two of them, desiring both, unable to choose between them. She hadn’t meant for it to happen. As with most things in her life, it was out of her control. One day, it was just there and she found herself in two very different relationships with men she couldn’t bring herself to live without. She wanted them both, but knew she couldn’t have them both. Sooner or later, she had to make a choice. She dreaded that day.”
As as the holidays continue so does the double life of love and sex with two men, stealing time with each during days off and juggling to keep each a secret from each other. Susanna is stressed and knows that her time will come to an end and not wanting to hurt either one, but still wanting both she continues until unforeseen circumstances uncover her disception.
Naturally both men are hurt, thinking that they were Susanna’s only love. Will their longtime friendship last this betrayal? Can Santa bring her her ultimate wish, that she keep both men for her to love without destroying their friendship in the process?
This book keeps the reader on their toes and is a page turner until the end, the reader becomes vested in the story and feels the emotions and the heat of the characters, it is a one day read because you have to know what happens next, and worthy of a second book.
This was a great story it was sexy and emotional .. Sometimes you just have to believe and you get what you wish for.. Can’t wait to see where the relationships between the three of them will go….
