I loved these characters and I wanted to strangle them all at the same time. Best friends to… roommates? That’s not normally how the story goes. Neither one of them is very good at saying the right thing in the right time, though Rhett’s a lot more courageous about taking the chance to get it wrong. Evelyn’s just a bit too concerned about everyone else’s opinion to be able to fully embrace what her heart wants. Though, I loved watching this pair learn how to figure it out and I’m really looking forward to seeing what else we can see from this new perspective on Three Rivers.

Gotta love Rhett, great character, compassionate and so not-arrogant for such a handsome, not to mention rich fellow. When it comes to Evelyn, he’s 100% all-in. Now Evelyn really surprised me, her actions seemed odd to me. They are the best of friends but marriage is a whole new level and fake or not they quickly discover that have some figuring out to do and choices to make. Prayer is the key, faith unlocks the door. Enjoyed reading this, such a great atmosphere and community. One down, six to go, I can hardly wait. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Of course the characters were well done and the dialog was awesome.
The twists were a wonderful surprise.
Can’t wait for the next in the series.
4.5**** stars Rhett and his six brothers are billionaires from a tech business their father sold. Evelyn is an undercover matchmaker living at her family ranch with her two sisters. She meets Rhett when he joins her and her sisters to shelter from a tornado. Their properties are a 1/2 mile apart. In order to save her business, she needs a husband so her clients will trust her. They have become friends and he agrees to the fake marriage without either of them really thinking about it. And, the problems begin. It’s a sweet, clean romance (Hallmark?). Nicely written and a good afternoon read.
