He knows better than to think otherwise.

The one thing he doesn’t see coming is the spoiled blond with stars in her eyes.

This book was magic! I loved all the characters. The story was a good fast pace. It hooked me from the very beginning with all the tension and chemistry. I will definitely be recommending it to everyone!
Frustrated by her parent’s overinvolvement in her life. It may seem perfect, her life of wealth and luxury, but it isn’t until she’s amongst the glittering lights and grime of the carnival that she feels alive. That ends the next day though, when life as she’s known it is flipped upside down. The handsome boy on the motorcycle is now associated with the attack that ruined her life, leaving her hurt, angry, and fighting to make it to the end of high school. When each summer is marked by a visit with that same boy, Evan’s mood changes, and soon she finds she needs Sebastian to make the escape from her once glittering life that’s now tinged by despair. But can Evan cut it in Sebastian’s no-attachment life and make herself at home amongst the carnival?
“It wasn’t the carnival I was drawn to. It was Sebastian. That wasn’t a coincidence. If anything, that was fate.”
Filled with angst and passion, Rewrite the Stars is a coming-of-age romance that will make you fall in love and want to run away to the carnival too. Evan is a passionate teenager, a smart girl who has worn a facade for far too long. Sebastian is one of the handsome, but cursed Sons of Eastlake, a man who lives life in the fastlane, at least until Evan makes him want to slow down. The two are like star crossed lovers, their lives so different and yet they understand one another in a way no one ever has before. The odds seems stacked against them, especially once Evan finds herself on the road with the carnival and Sebastian ignores her and the chemistry that flames between them. I immediately was protective over both Evan and Seb, wanting their lives to be easier, wanting them to be together without anything standing in the way. They really are meant to be, but Charleigh Rose has created a complex plot and it wouldn’t be very interesting if things just worked out. There’s the hot dancer from the carnival, the creepy incidents that keep occuring, and the newest member of the Sons, Elliott, all trying to ensure Evan and Sebastian don’t work out. These things only draw the two closer together, each learning to trust and share and finding comfort in one another. While their passion is explosive, their true relationship is built slowly and really makes the story as good as it is.
“Hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.”
I loved the world Charleigh Rose created in Rewrite the Stars, I could picture every character, the entire carnival caravan, and I really felt like I was in the story. The carnival itself really made the story more magical, even as Evan unveiled the truth of how they live and what goes on behind closed trailer doors. The illusion of the carnival life is broken, but it’s more raw and real than anything Evan’s ever known. There’s motorcycles, adult-only tents, fire breathers, and of course, those pesky girls that follow the Sons everywhere. The on-the-move life makes Evan’s friend pool very small and makes the drama grow quickly, but it also makes for a family-like atmosphere and gives Evan a chance at what might even be more normal of a life than her previous life. The carnival is where she grows up, where she learns to trust and believe, and where she learns what love really is, even if fate might have other plans for Sebastian McCallister.
“Why should I stay?”
“Because I don’t want feel like waiting another year to see you again.”
Oh my lanta, Charleigh Rose, you are a gem! Rewrite the Stars is a unique, adventurous story that stands out among other romances on the shelves right now. The characters are relatable, despite their on-the-road lifestyle, and the story is whimsical, filled with the sort of magic and mischief you don’t often get in adult romance. I knew I’d like Rewrite the Stars from the moment the blurb was announced, but I had no clue I’d fall in love with it. This book is a stunning, re-read worthy release from Charleigh Rose. And hey, if anyone else wants to run away to work at the carnival now, let me know, I’m in!
This book gutted me…I read the last chapter with my mouth hanging wide open. It was suspenseful, it was heartfelt, it was perfectly Charleigh!!! This was worth the wait for Amazon to get their shit together and make it live!

I.
LITERALLY.
HAVE.
NO.
WORDS.
AT.
ALL.
Seriously, after finishing this novel, I am completely speechless. Rewrite the Stars… This book is everything I hoped it would be. And a little bit more. A little bit? No, it is way more better than I hoped for. Charleigh Rose is a GENIOUS, yes, with capital letters. Evan and Sebastian’s story is so beautiful from the very begining to the end, this story is mindblowing, very well written and completely unique. For me, this was the very first book I have ever read by this author, and right now I am thinking about what book should I read next by her. This book was so amazing, I hope that the others will be that good, too.
“You’re afraid of a lot,” he accuses with a wolfish smile.
“Maybe, you’re not afraid of enough,” I shoot back, surprising even myself. (…) “Dangerous stunts, breaking and entering… got a death wish, Sexy Sebastian?”
“Everyone’s gotta die sometime,” he says, shrugging. “At least I’m actually living in the meantime.”
If I should describe Rewrite the Stars with only a few words, I would use these four: wonderful, magical, emotional and breathtaking. After reading this novel, I can honestly say that Charleigh Rose is a very talented author. The characters are so magnificent, I really do think that while reading this book you can feel that they are so real, and it is really easy to feel their feelings. The writing style is absolutely beautiful, this novel is full with so many lovely sentences and realy good ideas. From the very first moment, I was impressed by the cover of Rewrite the Stars, it is stunning, everything about this book is simply excellent and mindblowing.
“What if it’s already in the stars? You can’t change your fate.”
“Then we’ll rewrite the stars.”
Rewrite the Stars by Charleigh Rose is an emotional roller coaster which deserves all the stars in the sky. Maybe, that is not even enough to show you how much I adore this novel, how truly beautiful is Evan and Sebastian’s story.
For me, 2018 is full with awesome novels, and I am so happy about that. I have already read so many books that I give six stars for, and fortunately, I can give six stars for Rewrite the Stars, too.
What a fantastic way to end 2018! Rewrite the Stars was pure magic. I was completely captivated by this unique tale of carnivals, death defying motorcycle stunts, curses, love, lust, and gritty, mysterious bad boys. I am a big fan of Charleigh’s writing style and this one did not disappoint. The development of characters was fantastic along with the supporting characters. I would love to see more books from this world. I will say that this is one of my favorite reads of 2018! 5 dirty stars!
I CANNOT get enough of Charleigh Rose and her Hate to Love stories!! I first fell in love with her words when I read Bad Habit and can’t wait to dive into more of the worlds she creates!
Rewrite The Stars was a book that I had heard everything and nothing about. It was everywhere on facebook, everyone was dying for the release but no one knew what it was about. There were the most beautiful teaser photos and sneaky little snippets everywhere and I was like everyone else desperate to get my hands on it.
I am an absolute sucker for a hate to love story. Even more so when the characters are tortured shells of their former selves with no hope for their futures. There’s something special about reading a story that has broken characters who can only be healed by each other. The angst, the passion, the chemistry, I love every second of it and Rewrite the Stars had all of it in spades.
Evangeline, Evan to her friends, runs away from her family and walks down a random road following bright lights and happens upon a Carnival. In a chance meeting she’s introduced to The Sons of Eastlake and more importantly, quintessential Bad Boy, Sebastian McAllister. After a whirl wind death defying moment and an incredible kiss, Evan’s life is forever changed.
Evan was a tortured girl who had been made to grow up too fast and hide who she really was to everyone around her. Every chance meeting with Sebastian is a game changer and just another chapter towards there complex history, present and future. If they have one…
Sebastian McAllister is cursed. Cursed to never love, cursed to never have a future. He’s the complex bad boy with no hope for a better world or future. He’s spent his life travelling with the carnival and spends his time performing death defying acts with absolutely no fear of what tomorrow brings because to him there won’t be one.
The story of Evan and Sebastian is heart wrenching and full of the perfect amount of angst and torture with an underlying suspenseful feel. Things between them are changing and someone’s future will be forever changed in a way that weren’t expecting.
Charleigh Rose had me on the edge of my seat through every moment of Rewrite the Stars. Her writing style speaks to my own tortured soul that craves angst and passion. I could feel everything that Evan and Sebastian were feeling, my heart was pounding in so many moments and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Charleigh Rose is an incredibly talented author who’s every word I cannot wait to devour.
If you love Romeo and Juliet and every other tortured couple in history then Rewrite the Stars should be your next read! It has easily become one of my favourites.

HOLY HADES MOTHER OF GOD WTF DID I JUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first thoughts after reading this story. Charleigh has outdone herself again! I have read several of her books and when I saw she was writing a story about the traveling circus I stalked her page to see when it was coming out.
In this story you get two strong minded people who like each other but one has secrets they hide and the other is a spoiled brat. Evangeline is very privileged and she is a spoiled brat to tenth degree. One day she stumbles upon the circus and sees a show of motorcyclist who are doing stunts and she is intrigued. But she gets caught during the show for not paying when one of the motorcyclist Sebastian comes to her rescue and that chance meeting with Sebastian will change both of their lives.
Sebastian is a lost soul that is cursed. He is content to travel the world and do his stunts and live day to day. That is until one day he meets Evangeline his world changes and he finally thinks he can have a normal life without being cursed. But with so many secrets can they ever become a couple? Will Evangeline get to be with Sebastian? Or is she destined to live a life her parents choose?
This is an amazing story that will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what will happen next. So go ahead and one click this beauty you will not be disappointed!
First off – don’t you just love the moment in a book when its title makes perfect sense? I had that moment of realization in Rewrite the Stars and it was worth the price of admission! That being said, I was skeptical as to how Charleigh Rose was going to romanticize a traveling carnival, but somehow she did (not that I want to run off with the carnival any time soon – but I will be taking a closer look at some of the workers next time I go to one). The book grabbed my interest from the very beginning, and while it lagged a bit towards the middle (it is a bit of a slowburn), it turned into quite the page turner towards the end. I loved the bit of suspense/mystery that was thrown in, as well as the tension between the Sons of Eastlake, and the touch of mysticism featured in the plot. I can totally see this being the first in a series and if so, I’m so ready for the rest of it! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.
I am obsessed! This book, which I read in practically one sitting, was unbelievable. I am so fed up with finding a book that starts great, but somewhere in the middle, starts to lack what I need to stay fully invested. From the first page to the last page and EVERY page in between, this book was immaculate.
Each character was written perfectly. Evan was awesome and strong. Sebastian was the perfect blend of broody and sweet. All of the Sons of Eastlake were great in their own ways.
Rewrite the Stars had everything I love: the angst, the guy that pushes the girl away even though he really wants her, the bitchy girl that tries to get in the middle. I live for that shit. Plus, the carnival scene was written fantastically. I wish she were creating a series for all the Sons of Eastlake. They all would have an amazing story to tell.
Like every Charleigh Rose novel, expect some angst, humor, mysterious but sexy as hell secondary characters (seriously Eros… I love you), steam and a very happy ending. What more can you ask for? Pick this book up, you won’t regret it.
WOW! Charleigh Rose does not disappoint! Rewrite the Stars was an outstanding read. Rewrite the Stars was one book that I was SERIOUSLY anticipating reading in Oct. I wanted this book badly and I didn’t want to wait. Unfortunately, the ARCs were delayed and like most bloggers, my schedule is not only packed, but meticulously planned. So, I was forced to wait until the first available gap in my schedule… which so happened to be this past weekend—THANK YOU JESUS! I can not tell you how much I enjoyed this book. It’s not my first book by Charleigh Rose, and in the scheme of things, I would classify myself more as a lurker…. I follow her on all social media already and when she announced the dates for this release, I jumped at the change to read one of her books for my blog. Rewrite the Stars is told in dual POV and the YA story is beautiful and sexy. Although to be fair, I would argue that it’s not her sexiest book, it in no way lacks heat and had a slow burn factor that I loved.
Charleigh Rose writes characters that you will love and romances that will leave you captivated. Rewrite the Stars is my favorite book so far by Charleigh Rose. It’s beautiful and unique. The story begins when the heroine who meets her hero in the most unlikely of places, the circus. Evangeline Thorne, (a.k.a. Evan), is beautiful, popular and privileged until her life essentially implodes. She’s drawn to Sebastian McAllister, of the four Sons of Eastlake, from the minute she lays eyes on him. But Sebastian is cursed. And while the beautiful women—who fate seems to throw in his path repeatedly—spends a summer touring the country with Jessup’s Circus, he knows better than to hope. Just as Evan strives to keep her heart intact and find out who she is. Rewrite the Stars was outstanding. I couldn’t put it down and LOVED every minute of the story. I sincerely hope that Charleigh Rose plans to write the other three Sons of Eastlake because I will jump all over the chance to read and review these for my blog. As a reader, I love books that are interconnected standalones because I develop an attachment with the characters, and I’m already attached to the four Sons of Eastlake. [If you find yourself reading this, Charleigh Rose, please Please PLEASE give me Lathan, Tres and ESPECIALLY Eros!!!] If you are new to Charleigh Rose, this is a great example of her romances and I highly recommend that you one-click it ASAP.
From page one in this story I was on a rollercoaster ride. I loved the storyline it was very unique. I wanted to know how the book would end , yet I didn’t want to finish the book as I didn’t want the story to end.
Let me just start off by asking why you are reading this review and not reading this amazing book?!? This book is everything. Every line, every word, every character were pure perfection. With each book you can see Charleigh hone her craft as a master storyteller. The sweeping story of Evan and Sebastian is grand, and all encompassing.
The story takes you away and grabs you from the heart. The imagery of the carnival, the carney life, and all that it encompasses is great. I really hope she gives all the brothers their own stories, and they were fantastic secondary characters in this story, but I would like to see more of them to be honest. Do yourself a favor and read this fantastic book. This story is told in dual pov.
“What if it’s already in the stars? You can’t change fate.”
“Then we’ll rewrite the stars.”
Rewrite the Stars… or maybe Rewrite the HEARTS????
I loved Charleigh since the first page in Misbehaved, and it was long ago… now, with Rewrite the Stars this girl just TOOK ME OFF MY FEET!!!
I’m so speachless…. I needed almost 2 days people (!) to make my mind straight. I’m still really struggeling here – WHAT should I write ???
Should I wtite RTS it’s AMAZING ??? NO, because is so obviously – Charleigh is it’s author, right???
Should I write it’s about complicated love ???? NO, because everybody knows, all the time love has ups and downs.
Should I write it’s only about lonley hearts ??? Nothing more wrong – Evan and Seb are too strong for that.
My head is still empty, but my heart screaming at loud now ! I JUST want to curl under the blanktes and cry… cry and cry… because Evan’s and Sebastian story is so beautifull. Everything what Charleigh done with this book is pure PERFECTION. Plot, characters, tension, heart/breathtaking moments…. all of this things make this book unforgetable… I’m sure that Evan and Seb will stay forever in my soul, heart and mind.
Evan is real Charleigh’s kind of girl. She tough one, brave, proud… with hard stuff behind her back. This girl seems to be Princess but don’t be fooled with that…. Evan could kicks hard when it’s needed… she never gives up. That’s why she’s perfect match for Sebastian. He’s bad boy, maybe …. also a little player (?), but near Evan he forget about rules “try not to have a heart”.
I loved so much this book – did I mention that? It’ll take on one MEGA carnival ride, readers all of kinds be sure to put Your hands on Charleigh’s new book right now.
In “the end” just wanted to add – for me this book shows how much Charleigh grow up as an author lately…. I know, maybe it could sound lame in my mouth… I’m not literary critic, english isn’t even my original language, and maybe I shouldn’t write smarter than I’m… but It’s only my tiny thoughts and things which makes me fall deep in deeper in Charleigh wonderfull work.
This book was so good! I loved Evan and Sebastian. It gave us another view of carnivals and carnies. I really enjoyed their story and how they took control of their fate!
4.5 ‘Enjoy the sun’ Stars!
ARC provided by the author via Enticing Journey in exchange for an honest review.
I am seriously becoming more and more addicted to Charleigh Rose’s books! I was all over when she announced she was writing a new standalone book set in a carnival that involved two people from very different worlds falling in love. I mean, doesn’t it sound great? Now I can confirm it totally does because, again, Charleigh’s newest novel was simply wonderful to read. Get ready for the roller coaster that Evangeline and Sebastian are about to give you, guys! Trust me, it’s a good one.
So, Rewrite the Stars is Charleigh’s newest release and it’s a standalone new adult romance. It’s the love story between Evangeline Thorne and Sebastian McAllister. Evan comes from a rich family with a good reputation but she is bored of her life and seeks more. That “more” happens when she meets Sebastian in a carnival where he works in a stunt spectacle. The sparks are instant, they share a life-changing encounter that, unfortunately, does not end well. Two years pass, now Evan is eighteen and she wants to escape her current life. Everything changes when she starts working in the carnival and the sparks between her and Sebastian continue being unstoppable. Yes, their journey will have lots of obstacles and also lots of emotions. Will they get their happy ending? Read it to found out!
How ironic that the person who caused all my problems was also the one to give me a way to cope with them?
Wow, that was quite an experience, let me tell ya! I already knew I would very likely enjoy this novel because I love how Charleigh develops her stories and the relationships in them. Rewrite the Stars is mysterious, entertaining, sexy, suspenseful and simply magical. I loved all the theme around the carnival, reading all about it and the people travelling in it. I especially loved the four Sons of Eastlake and the whole secrecy around their family history. It got pretty intense sometimes and emotional too and I really loved that.
Hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister.
Of course, though, my favorite was the chemistry between the main couple. Evan and Sebastian share lots of moments, full of sexual tension, angst, sexiness and feelings. Their connection is explosive and I loved how they found happiness and peace with one another. I do wish though that the epilogue was a bit more developed because I wanted to read more about their HEA. It was not an easy journey but now they are rewriting their story together and, yes, it’s a happy one.
It wasn’t the carnival I was drawn to. It was Sebastian. That wasn’t a coincidence. If anything, that was fate.
Therefore, my rating for Rewrite the Stars is 4.5 STARS because I really enjoyed Charleigh’s take on the theme of carnivals and how she developed more into this magical and secretive world with Evan and Sebastian’s love story. Of course, she killed it with the burning chemistry between the main couple and with the amazing list of secondary characters. Who else is curious about the other three Sons of Eastlake? Because this girl is! I am not sure if Charleigh will write more about them but if she does, I will be all over it! Again, she did a fantastic job with this new adult romance and I highly recommend it!
I’ve never wanted to run away and join the nearest carnival until I read this amazing, intense, and spellbinding pageturner. Rewrite the Stars was fantastic and pulled me along rather willingly for Sebastian and Evan’s unforgettable adventure.
Sebastian definitely stole the show! Dirty-talking, sexy AF and a total bada** stuntman, I mean what wasn’t there to drool over? Evangeline (Evan) was beautiful, independent, strong yet hid behind the mask she felt she had to wear. I loved their first meeting and how it started their wild and unpredictable journey. The instant attraction they each felt kept them both drawn to the other like a moth to flame. One thing for certain is that I will never look at a ferris wheel or carousel the same way again after this book! All the angst, ups, and downs these two took together kept me riveted to my Kindle and gave me all the feels.
Rewrite the Stars is a definite top read of mine this year. From the unique setting to amazing characters I couldn’t get enough of this story held me riveted from the beginning until the ending I was rather reluctant to get to. I honestly wanted to escape away to their world for a bit longer but can’t wait to see if the other Sons of Eastlake get their stories in the near future. My fingers are definitely crossed for that! If unique reads with intriguing characters that give you all the feels sounds like your kind of read then Rewrite the Stars is a definite must read.
Charleigh never disappoints! The moment I started reading I was transported into this world. I felt like I was living the journey with Sebastian and Evan and I didn’t want to leave! Sexy, captivating and never a dull moment! I love it and hope we see more of the brothers in the future!!
ALL THE FUCKING STARS!!! 6/5
—*—
I finished this book early today and as soon as I finished it, I already wanted to start reading it again. I didn’t want to part with these characters. I could live in their world forever. They sucked me into their orbit from the get-go and now I’m sad the journey is over and there is no more Evan and Seb for me to enjoy.
This story is very unique and I loved it so much. I hope Charleigh is planning on writing a book for each of the McAllisters. I know Ero’s would be so so much fun.
But Seb and Evan oh my god! I don’t even have words… They were so good together, there was so much fire between them, lord!! Honestly y’all, you are going to die the best possible bookworm death. Everything about these two was so hot, all their fiery interactions, their comebacks, it was so fun and sexy… and the chemistry between them… oh boy when it exploded it was epically hot, just e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. Fire blazing hot, fan-self hot, you get me?! So so good!
I mean Charleigh always give is fire but this was book was on another level. The plot was so well thought out, so good and there was so much to it – sexiness, suspense, emotion, recklessness, plain old fun. Ah, I’m obsessed. I have the scenes playing in a reel through my head and it just makes me want to pick up the book again and start reading it like it was the first time.
You guys need to read this. For fans of Charleigh’s previous books, it’s a must read but it’s one for those who’ve never read her too, because you can experience her at her best.
Honestly, Asher who? No no no, I still love him but Seb might have stolen the show, that’s how much I loved him. The badass stuntman, sexy af and a dirty as heck mouth, #giveme. I honestly drooled over him. Gah, he was just *heart eyes* everything! And them sex scenes, holly mollie! He was… can’t even think of a proper word that will make him justice.
Evan was so strong, she put a b*tch front to hide her emotions from those around and to not show weakness but there was so much emotion and feelings inside her. Seb could read her good, and he cared for her when no one else seemed to, even when he barely knew her and even when he tried to hide it. He saved her from a lonely, sad, uneventful summer and instead gave her the best wildest ride of her life.
I’m gonna stop here so I don’t spoil anything for anyone. But please do yourself a favor and read this one. It’s unlike anything I have ever read and it’s the best damn thing, seriously I am obsessed. I’m getting that gorgeous paperback and rereading this asap. I really think this is my new favorite CR book, no matter how much I loved Bad Habit (which I really really do), this one was so amazing, it completely stole all the thunder.
I wanted more Seb and if there’s one thing to complain about it’s that ending. It was very rushed and even though it was very sweet and I adored it, I wish it had been longer, some of the scenes could have been extended and shit. I could have had a little more time and a little more of my Sebastian and my Evangeline.
Oh “Sexy Sebastian”, you stole my heart!
This read about two young lovers from opposite upbringings who find solace in each other at the carnival was incredible! The ups and downs of what’s going on in Evan’s life. The curse that plagues Sebastian’s future. The undeniable spark they feel during brief encounters over the course of short multiple years.
Charleigh did not disappoint with this one! I loved the depth of the characters and their back stories. The setting was unique and intriguing. Real issues and consequences were so well written into the story line. I felt that this read was completely unlike any other work by the author but in the best way! It was edgy and raw and humbling. This wasn’t your average romance and that made me love it so much more! 5 stars!!!!
