Sebastian McAllister is cursed.
He knows better than to think otherwise.
He’s content to live out the rest of his life traveling the country as one of the four Sons of Eastlake, seeking thrills the only way he knows how.
The one thing he doesn’t see coming is the spoiled blond with stars in her eyes.
The only problem is, the more time he spends with her, the more hope starts to stir in his dormant heart.
Too bad hope is a dangerous thing when you’re a McAllister

Evangeline, or Evan, has everything one could possibly want. She has the perfect life, home, family, reputation, all of it. Yet, she feels unsettled in a way which changes the moment she steps on carnival grounds and meets Sebastian McAllister.
Sebastian and his family perform in the globe of death for the carnival on a nightly basis. The Sons of Eastlake are a force to be reckoned with and Evan just can’t stay away. There’s some sort of pull between Evan and Sebastian and they embark on an adventure and end up with a huge misunderstanding. A year later, the carnival is back in town and life is totally different for Evan, thanks to Sebastian. Or so she thinks.
Sebastian and Evan are absolute fire together. The angst, the romance, the sexiness…everything about their relationship is fascinating. I don’t think I’ve ever read a story that pulled me in so quickly. I’m hoping that all of the Sons of Eastlake get their own story.
This is my first Charleigh Rose book and I’ll tell you, she’s now getting all my money! I had NO idea what I was missing out on. I loved everything about this book, the hero, the heroine, the families, the unique story. Everything. A definite MUST read!
When can we get more of Eastlake boys?!
Like seriously, this book was so good. I barely got myself to put it down when I needed to do some real life stuff. Charleigh is rapidly becoming one of my favorite authors whose books I can’t wait to put my hands on.
Not only are her boys wickedly delicious, they’re jaded by life, but also incredibly sweet under their broody exterior. Which is a combination this girl here can’t resist.
Her heroines, Evan included, are smart and sassy. They don’t let anybody stomp all over them without putting them into their place.
The ending was slightly rushed, or maybe it just seems to me like that since I didn’t want this book to end?!
Either way, a book and an author I would definitely recommend!
This book definitely made me want to run off and join the circus….or is it carnival?!?! Gah – these characters, the setting, the fantasy of it all was so refreshing and mesmerizing, and I loved every second of it! Charleigh Rose writes books with characters who are so relatable and down to earth that you can’t help fall for them. In this story you will not only fall for Sebastian and Evangaline (Evan) but also several of the side characters.
I was pulled into this story from the Prologue and couldn’t put it down….the mystery of Sebastian, and the innocence and troubled youth of Evan take you back to your own High School days of dramatic friendships and family arguments. Evan runs away from her parents in the midst of a family argument, and somehow finds herself in the hands of Sebastian, the dark and broody carnival motorbike stuntman. The chemistry between the two of them is on fire from the beginning. I fell for Seb’s dark demeanor immediately. He is all male – cocky, ridiculously good looking, and unattainable to every female he has encountered. Even though he has a tough exterior, you just know that there is much more to him with how he reacts to Evan and the attention he gives to her. As his story unfolds and his walls come down, you will want him all to yourself. He is strong yet sensitive, and his passion is HOT. I was ready for him to take me on a ferris wheel ride!!
I loved Seb, but I think I loved Evan even more. She is young, hurting, alone, but tougher than any carnie she comes across. She will take on the boys with her words or her fists, and stand up to anyone who is ready to knock her down. She is beautiful yet broken, and her naive view of the world and people coupled with her tough determination get her everywhere with the carnies, and eventually Sebastian. I was in awe of this girl with her feisty attitude, fierceness, and desire to be loved by family and friends.
Not only is this story about young lust and love, but it is also about broken families, starting over with nothing, and believing in fate. Seb believed he was cursed and only had one path in life, and when Evan stepped in the way time and again, it all changed. I loved their angst, the emotional push and pull, and the honest and raw emotions from both of them. I fell harder for Seb each time he fought his desire for Evan only to fall harder for her in their next encounter. It was real – it was magical – and it was addicting.
You will love this carnival setting, and the secondary characters are amazing! I am hoping that this series continues with a couple of my favorites, and we get more of what’s next for Seb & Evan because I didn’t nearly get enough of them. Well done once again Charleigh Rose!!!!
5+ PERFECTION STARS!! This phenomenal book is in my TOP 10 books for 2018. I think this author saved one of the best stories for the end of the year to go out with a bang. Sebastian is EVERYTHING!! Evan is beautiful, spoiled and strong. These two have so much chemistry it oozes off the pages. This story is so different from our normal romance books that I could not put it down. You definitely need to read this book in 2018, so make sure to 1-Click.
This book was a great mix of Young Love, Summertime and Carnivals! Sebastian needed to live his life to the fullest and Evan needed to live on her own terms. They were the perfect match for each other. Both stubborn and stuck in their ways, but they were able to heal each other. Their story wasn’t easy but in the end worth it. This was an amazing read, I’d definitely recommend it.
Books like this are why I read romance. You know the stories that make you remember those first kisses, the tummy butterflies, the feelings like your heart would literally break in two. I binge read it in one 2am session and went to bed with a very happy heart. Gah!
It’s Angsty deliciousness with a capital A, where not everyone is what they seem, and not everyone will get their HEA. I loved the twists with the characters, the feeling that the story was somehow just a little “other”, it gave me a gypsy vibe. I have to also say that the chemistry in this book was PERFECTION!! I will never look at a ferris wheel or carousel the same way again. Hot Dammmmm.
Definitely recommend. 2018 Favourite for me.
P.S Charleigh better give Eros a book of I might get a little stabby…
I absolutely LOVED LOVED this oh so hard!
Evan and Sebastian’s love story was definitely one that surprised me. I was expecting something completely different, but this was just oh so much more.
Charleigh Rose Delivers a romance book with plot that centers around the carnival world. From the second Evan gets pulled into Sebs act you can see the sizzling off the charts chemistry and so it begins.
It is hard to go into detail and the perfection of the characters and plot without giving away spoilers, but I will say this is one by charleigh rose you should definitely read.
I love everything that Charleigh Rose writes and Rewrite The Stars is no exception. The world she has built in this novel was so vivid in my mind, it totally swept me away as I visualised every aspect of the carnival and all things Sebastian McCallister.
The story is told in dual POV and begins with Evan walking aimlessly to a destination unknown, until she stumbles across a carnival and sneaks into a tent. Here Evan finds her 16 year old self completely transfixed with the stunt riders working in harmony taunting death and destruction at high speeds. Evan soon finds herself tangled up in the fantasy and escapism that the carnival can bring, only that night is the night that changes her life completely.
Sebastian can’t help but be drawn to this girl, full of innocence and magnetism he can’t help but feed his desire to be near her. When his act ends and he spots her being dragged away by carnival security, he can’t help but claim her there and then. At 20 years old any pretty girl catches his attention and lord knows enough young women thrown themselves at him; yet he can’t deny the attraction he feels to Evan. Everything changes though the night they first meet and their paths are now truly intertwined.
The carnival setting was so unique and written so adeptly, that visualising everything was really easy. The carnival world is known for drawing people together, people that are different, unique, that are hiding or need a fresh start or simply have no where else to go. Everyone of these secondary characters felt like they had their own story to tell and I hope one day we may get to hear a few.
Rewrite the Stars is a book full of wonder, creating a certain fantastical magic because of it’s setting, adding a new level of romanticism to Evan and Sebastian’s tale. Their slow burn and searing chemistry reaches it’s boiling point in a dramatic way at the end of the novel, finishing in a way I am happy with; but it sure had me going for a second!
Another highly recommended read from Charleigh Rose!
Rewrite the Stars was one of my most anticipated reads of 2018 and holy freaking moly did Charleigh Rose deliver. The moment I turned on my kindle and saw this book sitting on there ready to be read I knew that I couldn’t wait to dive right in. But of course life is busy and I ended up having to wait days (yes you read that right…DAYS) to finally read it. Let me just tell you all that this story was completely worth the wait! Every single time that I have started a book from this phenomenally talented author I feel as if I am immediately transported into that story. The characters always captivate my heart and the storytelling hooks me right in and keeps a tight hold on me until I reach the very end (of course as long as I am not forced to put it down). This story was certainly no exception!
This is one of those stories that has you on the edge of your seat in anticipation and don’t even get me started on that feeling you will experience deep in the pit of your stomach. I can’t even begin to tell you all the number of times throughout that I found myself yelling aloud in shock. There were so many unexpected twists and turns and I didn’t know what to expect as I devoured page after page. Evan and Sebastian completely engulfed my heart and took me on the ride of my life. Their story was one that will definitely stay with me for years to come and I couldn’t imagine two souls more perfectly connected for one another.
There is so much more I could say about this incredible story and I could probably talk about this book for hours, if not forever, but I also don’t want to reveal too much. Charleigh Rose’s stories all deserve a rating above 5 stars and I especially feel that way about this one because it was so unlike anything I have every read or even seen on the market before. Her writing is so unique and I just couldn’t imagine giving this book such a low rating…totally believe hands down that this is a THOUSAND STAR read! Oh and I have to know if we are going to get McAllister’s…PLEASE SAY YES!!!
Rewrite the Stars was a story about a poor little rich girl, Evan, who finds adventure in the carnival and a daredevil, Seb, who learns that love isn’t just a four letter word. She comes from a life of privilege and he carries around the burden of a curse. Despite their circumstances and past, together they find that fate seems to have crossed their paths and that together they can rewrite their stars.
This book was stellar! Seb and Evan are all the damn things! Their chemistry is instant and the sexual tension between them was utterly palpable. It sizzled, crackled, and popped and had me devouring every word like a fiend. To say I was captivated is putting it mildly. Once I began to read I was obsessed! From the passion to the angst to the ever conquering love it was all perfection. Now I sit and pray that the rest of the Son’s of Eastlake get a book as well! 5 Stars.
I feel like I’ve been waiting for this book forever! Anything about the carnival intrigues me so when I heard one of my favourite authors was bringing out a book based around a travelling carnival I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on it.
This is one of those rare books that had me wanting to re read as soon as I’d finished. One of those books where the ending comes way too soon and you’re nowhere near ready for it to end yet. It has a slow burn to it so if you’re expecting this book to be constant sex, think again. It’s more about building the sexual chemistry and intrigue, the mystery of not just the main characters, but the supporting characters aswell. The carnival scenes were definitely my favourite. As someone who’s always wanted to go to a carnival, i loved how easy the author made it to picture everything about the carnival scenes and by the end I was ready to pack up and find one of my own to join (although I doubt there’s anyone like Seb McAllistar in real life).
I adored Evan and Seb. For two people who seem as different as they do, there’s an undeniable connection between them that I couldn’t get enough of. This story had me addicted. I picked it up and didn’t stop reading until the words ran out.
This book is without a doubt my favourite Charleigh Rose book to date. I fell in love with not only Evan and Sebs story but with certain other members of the Four Sons of Eastlake and I’m desperately hoping we get to read their stories soon.
I kept putting off reading Rewrite the Stars. Not because l didn’t want to read it. No because the characters and the story didn’t tickle my fancy. I was waiting for the right time to get lost… Get lost in a story that would take me under. Get lost with characters that I couldn’t help but love. Damn… I wish they were real to be friends with.
The storyline from Rewrite the Stars is so unique. There is nothing ordinary about. I loved how Evangeline “Evan” Thorne was spunky. She could dish it out as much as take it. When Evan met Sebastian, everything seemed to be fated upon their meeting. Sebastian was trying to fight it. Not just for Evan’s sake but for his well. I felt bad for the guy because you could see how their life was written. It wasn’t separately.
I love when the author gives you amazing main characters but also intriguing somewhat down to earth subcharacters. Half the time, I wanted to hang out with Kate and Miles. Maybe even have a drink with Eros. Even crack a joke around Lathan, so he could smile a little. Don’t question reading this story. Don’t put it off . Read this and get lost. Maybe you can rewrite the stars.
OMG!! This book is. EVERYTHING! I read it in one sitting, couldn’t put it down. Sebastian and Evan meet 2000 miles away from home by chance. That first meeting rewrote their stars! The following year they meet again by chance but this time it isn’t all good. Now two years later they meet again on purpose, on Evan’s part. Evan has a choice to make, go to New York or join the carnival!? But like a moth drawn to a flame so goes with joining the carnival. Sebastian tries his hardest to stay away from Evan, but nothing works. He can’t stay away and she doesn’t want to stay away. Was their chance meeting two years fate or a casualty?!?!
Everyone should stop they’re doing and read this book!!!! Sebastian is swoon worthy. Fantastic storyline with amazing characters! Doesn’t get any better!! MUST READ OF 2018!!!!!
