Determined to live a dark life in the company of the assassin who freed her from bondage, Sarai sets out on her own to settle a score with an evil sadist. Unskilled and untrained in the art of killing, the events that unfold leave her hanging precariously on the edge of death when nothing goes as planned.Sarai’s reckless choices send her on a path she knows she can never turn back from and so she … and so she presents Victor with an ultimatum: help her become more like him and give her a fighting chance, or she’ll do it alone no matter the consequences. Knowing that Sarai cannot become what she wants to be overnight, Victor begins to train her and inevitably their complicated relationship heats up.
As Arthur Hamburg’s right-hand man, Willem Stephens, closes in on his crusade to destroy Sarai, she is left with the crushing realization that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. But Sarai, taking on the new and improved role of Izabel Seyfried, still has a set of deadly skills of her own that will prove to be all she needs to secure her place beside Victor.
But there is one test that Izabel must face that has the potential to destroy everything she is working so hard to achieve. One final test that will not only make her question her decision to want this dangerous life, but will make her question everything she has come to trust about Victor Faust.

Reviving Izabel is the second book in J.A. Redmerski’s In The Company of Killers series. This is a great sequel to Sarai’s story in the first book which follows her escape from years of captivity with a notorious drug lord in Mexico. The story follows her experiences as she tries to live the life of an unskilled killer and the consequences that come along with that. As a reader, at times I felt she was full of herself, and her whiny attitude and behavior annoyed me to the point I was mentally asking why the hero in the story was sticking around, but I guess after everything she has been through and is willing to go through, she has the right to a bit of complaining. She is humbled over and over again by the consequences of the mistakes she makes along the way. “You can’t learn to swim by reading it in a book…It is the best way, Sarai. To learn from your mistakes is to make them. Authentically. No amount of training, no rehearsed scenario is going to teach you better than the real thing.” I love this series!
O.M.G
Sarai Cohen escaped with the skin of her teeth in book 1 Killing Sarai and I thought, wait a minute, that couldn’t be the end with unfinished business and unrequited love.
Well book 2 starts with a band.
Sarai who is looking for her alter ego- Izabel Seyfried who’s been shoved down deep in her soul. Izabel is brought out, dusted and OWNED!!. The transformation of Sarai from the girl left behind and pushed away to step up and take charge, kick Ass fighter is truely fantastic thing to witness
She is ready to take on the world and how!!
“Seems we were made for each other, like two puzzle pieces that at first don’t appear to fit, but eventually fall into place when looked at in the most unlikely of angles.”
She’s tasted blood and is now hungry for more. On the prowl for the degenerates of the world who hide in plain sight, she goes on the mission to rid the world of them all by herself
BIG MISTAKE.
“In our kind of life sometimes terrible things must be done to those we love to clear a path for new beginnings.”
Turns out she needs a long period of preparedness and training which she naively skipped and gets her people in jeopardy and herself in huge trouble
And that forces Victor out of the wings and center stage.
The story is non stop action, car chases, gun battles, piles of bodies and torture.. Omg torture will make you cringe!! Love found by Unmatched couple in the unlikeliest of places in the background of murder and mayhem… But kindred souls connect inevitably
My dark happy frolicked among the body count
5 stars for New Order
Reviving Izabel is a highly intense read… It’s exciting, dangerous, and full of tension. yet SEXY as sin!!
I found the whole story very intriguing, wrapped in a shroud of darkness.
This is the continuation of Sarai’s (Izabel) and Victor’s story.
When Victor left Sarai in Arizona to live a normal life, she struggled to play the part. She’s been on her own for a while, and was even in a relationship with a new guy, but couldn’t erase Victor in her mind.
She knows that after all that she’s been through, she can never live a normal life.
her thoughts of being Izabel Seyfried haunt her daily. She’s out for blood and a chance to prove she’s cut out for the life of an assassin.
We get to know Victor more and see the incredible impact Sarai has had on him.
Who would think they would be happy reading about human torture?
The writing was pure perfection and kept me gripped to every scene.
This book is brilliant. I couldn’t put it down. The story has my gripped from page one.
This was another amazing read. It still had so many twists and turns. I can’t wait for the next book in this series. I definitely recommend this book, this author and this series.
