Revived (The Lucidites #3) was a good read by Sarah Noffke. Roya’s life doesn’t seem to fit together anymore and doesn’t make sense. It seems as though Joseph could be to blame for the fall of the Lucidites. Zhuang is back and more powerful than before. Chase is demanding her love and commitment. In order to survive, Roya knows she must reconnect with Joseph. I really enjoyed this bookend can’t wait to read more by Sarah Noffke.
I devoured this third and final book in Roya’s journey. Returning of Zhuang and Chase as the evil they have to fight against. Learning that Trey is her father and Joseph had unwittingly restored Zhuang to health stirs up many emotions that she has to work through. I enjoyed learning more of these twins history as they tried to figure out how to battle against the enemy. We see love and loss and how we can rise from the sorrow with forgiveness and find joy. This story took me on a journey and made me feel so many things. I really enjoyed how the difficulty and loss was addressed by the author as well as the comfort and peace that came as they rebuilt the institute and their lives. The epilogue left me feeling very happy for each of the characters I’ve grown to love throughout this series. I highly recommend this book and the entire series.
Revived (The Lucidites #3), my twenty-ninth read from author Sarah Noffke. A well written, interesting read, with intriguing, well-developed characters. There’s something I really enjoy about a story with characters trying to survive in a world that’s moved on. I also love stories about time travel. But I don’t restrict myself to a particular genre. I’m a sucker for anything with memorable characters and a story that keeps me guessing. The recipe for my perfect novel? A dash of backstory, a pinch of character arc, and a whole heaping of plot that keeps me turning the page long after I should have called it a night. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
I just finished this book, the last in the Lucidites series. AND WOW!!!
Roya’s journey has finally come to it’s conclusion, and it was everything I wanted for her and more.
We continue the story after the discovery that Zhuang has been brought back to full strength by Joseph, thinking it was his father. Roya & Joseph are trying to come to terms with Trey being their father, and Roya is still struggling to deal with Chase’s mind control over her. Roya also has to face the situation she’s stuck in with George and Aiden. #TeamAiden
While news reporting for the Institute, Roya witnesses an event that will put the Lucidites in danger at some point in the future. They don’t know when it’ll happen, so they have to wait it out. Joseph and Roya come up with a plan to put an end to the terror, no matter the risks to their own lives. What follows is an epic battle between good and evil.
The personal journey of each of the characters in this final book was wonderful. Joseph, what can I say, he has grown so much throughout this series. There was a little twist regarding his personal life in this book that I don’t want to mention it because I don’t want spoilers here, but I absolutely loved it. His developing relationship was beautifully written and put a huge smile on my face by the end of the story.
As for Roya’s love life, there was a perfect conclusion that I’d waited for all along. But I’ll admit, even though I didn’t really have much love for George in the first book, I’ve grown to adore him throughout this series. He’s undeniably sweet and caring, and I felt sorry for him by the end of everything. Roya was stronger than ever. I love everything about her character: her wit, her courage, her dream travels. I always love strong female characters that can fight for themselves and those they love, and she’s delivers all that. I am really going to miss her.
Roya is the perfect mixture of what I love to see in a heroine. She is strong, independent, knows her own mind, is brave, self-sacrificing, but vulnerable too. She has flaws. She makes bad choices, and the right ones too. I love that she seems so real, like I could know this chick ( I wish).
I loved this series! I have read almost all of Sarah Noffke’s books, and with each one I read, I love her more and more.
