Revive (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw
Revive is the third Book in the Rewind series and I loved it just as much as the first two book.I found myself lost in the pages and reading deep into the night. I couldn’t put it down once I started reading. Patrick and Brandon, these two definitely have attraction between them but Patrick’s his( Brandon’s) new therapist . Can these have more than a professional relationship? What does their future look like? My emotions were all over the place with this story. Find out what happens next in this must read Book. I do highly recommend reading the first two books in this series as well if you haven’t already. I can’t wait to read more from this Author
Revive is the third book in the Rewind series. It can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend this entire series. I love it so much!
When Patrick was first introduced in a previous book, I was curious about his character. I loved learning more about him in this story, and watching his personal growth. Not going to lie, around chapter 34/35 I started tearing up because of the way things were shaping up. I love a book that will get me so invested in the characters.
I’m super excited for the next book!
I wanted to read this because it’s finally Patrick’s story. But I really really disliked him at the beginning. Once he started making internal changes I changed my mind and settled in to enjoy the rest of the story. Then came the feelings of sadness and heartbreak.
I was glad to meet Brandon. He is different than other characters we have met in the series. Wei added some fun times and laughter to the story. I was glad she was added. I liked the French cuisine info and how it differed and sometimes is non existent in America. Brandon’s reaction to French food was as much fun as Patrick’s to American food.
I have loved this whole series. This one is no exception. I love seeing/reading about the love of a person. These guys have all been through the ringer and have come out on the other side. I saw the next book and I am looking forward to more from this group of friends and lovers.
This is a lovely story about how our views can be changed when we find someone we love
Patrick is a gay man who doesnt do relationships. All he cares about is hook-ups, his friends and family. He also has a dislike for men who are bi and hes made his feelings know more than once. That is until he meets Brandon.
Brandon is bi who used to be married to a female and they have a daughter. He goes to a club and meets Patrick. That chance meeting ends up in a night of passion neither of them can forget.
Can Patrick overcome his rules about bi men? Can he settle down with Brandon or will he constantly be looking for his next hook-up?
This is a lovely story about how they both have to overcome challenges to be together.
Revive was a great 4 star read and book three in the Rewind series and can be read as a stand alone.
I really liked Brandon and Patrick and their story.
Brandon is a single father who has been struggling with coming out, when he has a one night stand with a hot man things get even harder for him. Brandon gets a very unexpected surprise when he meets his new therapist, Patrick, the one night stand.
Will the chemistry between these two test the patient, doctor boundaries? Can they have more?
Patrick has certain issues with bi men, and when he discovers Brandon is bi can he get past his issues? We also learn why Patrick feels the way he does, which helped me understand his feelings.
Overall I really enjoyed this read. All of the secondary characters were great, I had several LOL moments. I really like the alternating POV, it gives you a chance to see what each of them are thinking. This isn’t a genre I read often but I was really pulled in by Rowan Shaw’s writing and I look forward to reading more from her. 1-click and get started today on this read.
Brandon knows he needs to come out as bi. He’s long had feelings and desires that strictly straight men don’t have. Then he meets and has a one night stand with a gorgeous, confident man, Patrick, who turns out to be his new therapist…Yeah… But there are more obstacles to their relationship than just that one little thing. There’s the fact that Brandon is a single father and may or may not be able to stay in France if his ex-wife moves with their daughter. And what about coming out to his mom? Can Brandon actually do it? How will she react? And what about Patrick’s biphobia? When he realizes Brandon is bi, will it put an end to their budding whatever it is? So many obstacles!
I’m a bit torn on how to rate Revive. On one hand, it was fairly engaging reading. I liked the premise and I liked a lot of the secondary characters, especially Patrick’s closest friends. On the other hand, I felt more than a little disconnected from the two leads. It’s not that they were awful characters or anything. They were just a bit one note and not super interesting, especially Patrick. His phobia was pretty ridiculous, although I understand that it’s a real thing and affects a lot of people, so I’m not discounting its authenticity. The “drama” or conflict was kinda anti-climactic to the point that I almost felt like there didn’t need to be any of it at all. And finally, the connection between the two men wasn’t strong enough for my tastes. So I guess three stars is all I can rate this one. I will probably read more from this author, though, because I can see potential here.
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, and it definitely will not be the last. I loved this story! The characters are wonderful and so real! I couldn’t stop reading once I started. Brandon and Patrick are perfect together. Their journey has many twists and turns. It was a pleasure to read.
REVIVE (Rewind Book 3)
By: Rowan Shaw
5 out of 5 stars
The story REVIVE (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw is the next book in a series that I have loved since the first story. The book had my emotions going up and down the entire time that I was reading. I loved reading about the characters of Patrick and Brandon. They have an attraction to each other. One problem, Patrick is Brandon’s new therapist. What will happen next? Will they just a professional relationship or will they give in to their feelings for each other? What does the future hold for Patrick and Brandon? Read this book to find out. The author does a wonderful job of making you feel what the character does. There are other characters that are introduced and I enjoyed their interactions with the main characters. This is a story that you will not be able to put down until the last page, I found myself reading far into the night. Find out if two people who don’t do relationships fall for each other. The book can be read as a standalone. I personally would read each book as the series is they are wonderful and amazing. I highly recommend reading the story.
REVIVE (Rewind Book 3) by Rowan Shaw is another great addition to this series! I really enjoyed the other two books, so I was looking forward to this one and it didn’t disappoint. I really felt invested in this story which is well written and Rowan does it beautifully. Revive is funny and beautiful and emotionally charged read and the world and characters are vivid and felt real.
If you love M/M then is definitely for you and if you are not take a chance.
I think this series gets better with every book. I never hesitate to pick up this author, I know I’m in for a ride when I do. This one is no different. This is a story of romance and professional boundaries. Brandon and Patrick are great characters that have strong chemistry. After a one night stand and the realization of a patient – therapist relationship will they cross the line? They made the story feel real and kept me turning pages to the end. I highly recommend this must read book.
As a follower of the series, I was so happy when I received this book as an ARC, that I promise I’ll try to make an unbiased honest review despite my excitement. The series is amazing and this book is not exception. Even if it can be read as a standalone all happens in the same timeline than the previous books so is more interesting if you’d read them before. This book featured the story of Patrick, a player, who doesn’t believe in relationships and is biased against bisexuals, and Brandon a divorced single father, who has a phobia for coming out as bisexual. They fell in love with each other, finding acceptance and finally a family, getting a wonderful HEA. Rowan Shaw is an expert in writing endearing, emotional characters with life-altering situations who have the strength to confront them, getting a second chance in happiness. Wonderful reading!!
Revive is the third book in the Rewind series by author Rowan Shaw. The previous books are not necessary to enjoy or understand this book. I didn’t read the others and I wasn’t lost; however, fans of the series might understand Patrick way better than I did. I felt the author’s disclaimer on their character was odd but perhaps necessary for the true fans, It is always hard to make a villain from a previous book likable and Patrick is no exception. I did like him to a point; however, I would say this story is not for me.
I am true romantic in every sense of the word. Patrick was conflicting not because of his sexual beliefs but his morality overall felt off for me. I can see his appeal to some readers. He is a very confident character, he does have a clear, and strong personality. His moral compass for me was off, and that made me not like him as well as I could have.
Brandon, he feels less developed. He is a single dad, adjusting to the fact he needs to come out as bisexual to his family and friends. He has a lot on his plate, and he lets Patrick lead him around in this story.
For me this did not feel like a love story. It is a good story, but nonetheless, just not one I loved nor would recommend to anyone who is a true romantic at heart like myself.
Three Red Stars
I’ve been waiting for Patrick’s book since I read Rewind and this doesn’t disappoint in the least. Patrick and Brandon are amazing together. I love their dynamic and Patrick is so whipped! All I could think while reading the book was, don’t hurt Patrick. (So Patrick might be my favourite )
While this book is dual POV, we get Patrick’s POV a tad more. Also this takes place in the same time frame as Rewind. I love this series but this book is my favourite. I loved the banter between Patrick, Enzo and Jean-François.
Wei, Brandon’s daughter, is another one of my favourite characters. (She kept reminding me of Wei Wuxian, probably because I’m addicted to The Untamed). I loved her.
Please do heed the warnings as this book deals with biphobia. I highly recommend this book. Happy reading!

REVIVE is the third book in the REWIND series by Rowan Shaw. It is a contemporary m/m romance between a client and his therapist , although they dont know this relationship applies to them when they first meet.
This story was interesting and entertaining and definitely had me feeling some emotions. I like the characters a lot. Patrick and Brandon are sexy together and very sweet. The story has some angst, especially surrounding biphobia and willingness to give relationships a chance and the choices you make for family and for love. The story also has humor, and had me smiling and laughing. The supporting characters are also interesting and add to the enjoyment of the story.
