“When I can’t hear you and see you, I can’t want you––and I can’t want you anymore.”Sasha was the girl next door, and at fifteen I was sure she was my forever. She was my constant, and never let me down.Until she did.She broke me, yet I still found myself longing for her with a debilitating desperation. Then came Taylah. A crazy and chaotic hurricane of beauty and bad decisions, she breathed … hurricane of beauty and bad decisions, she breathed life back into me.
For her, my heart began to beat a new rhythm. She was whimsical, and I was level-headed. We were mismatched in the most perfect of ways.
Two women. One decision. Sasha was my first love, but could Taylah be my last?

This book! Marley Valentine has a way with words and this is by far her best. I could not put Revive down. A love triangle that will pull on your heart strings, and leave you turning the pages just to know what happens next, I highly recommend Revive.
If you’re looking for a read that takes you on an emotional ride and has witty banter and sexual tension, grab Revive. Marley’s way with words is unmatched.
The Redemption series just gets better with each book and Revive is testament to that. Hendrix is torn between the past and the present with a future uncertain. This angsty and emotional story will have you at times disliking his past, frustrated with him and encouraging his present to become the future. Your heart will be pulled in so many directions but it will be nothing less than crazy that brings the light, happiness and love to a man who has suffered for so long.

I was really interested to see where Hendrix’ story would take us and I was not wrong to expect a hell of a ride. Hendrix is quite a complex character, when you look at his past with both Sasha and Jagger, his loyalty to them both because of Dakota and his need to fix everyone.
Taylah is a loud character, but she still has this vulnerability about her. I actually quite liked her and understood where she was coming from in many of her chapters. I really disliked Sasha in this book, more than I thought I would, as she added a whole ‘nother crazy layer to this story.
Dakota shines bright once again in this, and all the family ties are still present if not complicated.
I won’t ruin how this little triangle turns out, but it was a great ride and I’ve already started the next book in the series. Definitely recommend!
My God. I think I loved Revive even more than Reclaim! Drix’s story is a hard one with a lot of heartache involved. Two women try to lay claim on his heart. He’s caught between his past and his present and doesn’t know what to do.
Hendrix is such an amazing character: loyal, caring, selfless, and honorable. I fell in love with him in Reclaim, but he solidified his hold on my heart on his journey to his own HEA. I absolutely recommend this book… this entire series, because it is one that you don’t want to miss!
Wow! This was so good. I thought I loved Jagger and Emerson’s book but Hendrix and Taylor are my absolute favorite! I can’t wait to read Sasha’s book next. I’m not a fan of Sasha at all. I feel she is manipulative. I love the way this book ended and can’t wait or the next.

This was a funny, sweet and steamy romance read. I enjoyed Taylah and Hendrix’s story. Sasha had some nerve wanting to lay claim to Drix when she noticed his attention and attraction was aimed towards Taylah. She had years to get to love him the way he deserved and I’m glad he chose Taylah because there was too much hurt, pain and regret between Drix and Sasha. This was a good read with a sweet ending and I’m looking forward to the next book in this series.
Love triangles! I know some people hate them, but I love them even though they make me feel all the feels. I always wind up with the person I want it to be in the end, but Marley takes you a journey that makes you question everything.
This was such a heart wrenching and heartbreaking read that you absolutely could not put down. You will go through so many emotions, but at the same time you’ll be glued to this book to the very end.
Who does he choose? The woman he’s loved forever and broke his heart over and over, or the new firecracker that has come in like a freight train? You’ll have to read to find that answer.
I’ve been waiting months for this book and it’s everything I wanted and more. I thought I knew where Hendrix’s story was heading when I met his character in Reclaim, but I was surprised the way it went. And it was much better than anything I could have imagined!!
Hendrix “Drix” Michaels is my new dream book boyfriend. He is selfless, caring, funny, and sexy. I think Marley may have ruined me for real life men with Drix.
But the choice he must make between Sasha and Taylah is not an easy one. How do you choose between the woman that’s held your heart since you were kids and the woman who pieces it back together.
Sasha is fierce and a fighter, and Taylah is a equally as fierce and a woman that knows what she wants and goes after it. I’ll be honest I went into this book #TeamSasha but after meeting Taylah, and seeing the force that she is, I became #TeamTaylah 100%. But in the end I think they all deserve happiness. And I am waiting with bated breath for the next book in this series.
I also have to add that the songs Taylah picks are some really great songs, especially Shake it out by Florence and the machine (which happens to be one of my favorites). This book definitely gave me all the feels and is in my top 10 must read books of 2018. #2018MustReadTop10
Oh how I loved this book!! We met Drix, Sasha and Taylah in Reclaim. I already had a soft spot for him and was crazy excited when I found out he was getting a book of his own.
This one broke my heart more than once. I might have sent a few ranty PMs while reading… There’s history, there’s hurt and there’s hope. It’s the kind of story that breaks your heart while also making you hopeful that true love will win out.
Marley is the Queen of swoon worthy kisses in her books and this one gave me all the feels yet again. Drix is the perfect blend of dirty and delicious. And don’t even get me started on the chemistry – wowsa!!
“Fuck, Crazy. Stick me somewhere before I blow it like a teenager all over your fucking hands.”
While it’s a triangle I was very much on one team from the very beginning and even though not everyone gets their HEA I was thrilled with how their stories unfolded.

Hendrix Michaels has known Sasha since school and at the tender age of 15, he was so sure she was his one and only. The girl of his dreams with a future for them both. Drix would never have believed Sasha would let him down, but she did. However much she’d disillusioned him, Drix still wanted her. Then a little whirlwind came along called Taylah; beautiful, funny and enigmatic. She gave Drix new hope and made his heart beat faster. Regardless of being complete opposites, Taylah would have to compete with Sasha who Hendrix has held on a pedestal for so long.
We met Hendrix in Reclaim which was his brother Jagger’s story, and from the offset I could tell that Drix as I knew him, to be a man with a heart of gold. He helps others without caring for his own feelings and aspirations. Such a selfless and giving soul. These two women shake him right to the core. They are nothing like each other. Taylah is a feisty, hardworking sassy girl and she’s drawn to Drix from the moment she met him a couple of times in Reclaim. She’s very intrigued by him and aware that there’s some sort of history with Sasha, but she can’t help being a moth to a flame when it comes to Drix.
Sasha is a very complex character, full of insecurities and self-doubt. And although they have a long-standing bond since childhood, she’s her own worst enemy since she can’t seem to make up her mind whether she wants him or not. Now then, the banter and chemistry between Hendrix and Taylah is very intense, and I had no idea if it was just flirty fun or if there was a potential relationship, but it all depended on whether Drix could leave the past behind. Was Sasha really his forever? You will see!
I’d been anticipating Revive since we saw these characters in Reclaim and what Valentine was going to map out for them. Right from the beginning, I was gripped. We get flashes of the past as well as the present and points of view from Hendrix, Sasha and Taylah. It was welcome being able to read what each one of them was thinking and experiencing with their feelings and emotions. There are musical references and all I’ll say is chapter 14 had me in tears with the words and the song that matched with that part of the book. I had a lot of emotions throughout; tears, smiles and aww moments.
Ms. Valentine very cleverly penned a book that just kept me guessing all the way through. Dramatic scenes, very hot scenes. Oh boy, were they steamy! Hendrix is a very virile guy, *inserts laugh*. As I said before, there are musical references and a very complete playlist to accompany the reading experience. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Revive and the powerful impact it had on me. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. I’m definitely going to be re-reading this story as I can’t stop thinking about it and am unable to pick up my Kindle to read another book. Kudos to the author for giving us readers a very special treat. I just didn’t want the book to end. I could read about these characters forever.
I loved Drix and Taylahs story so much! Drix most certainly deserved his happily ever after, and I don’t think he could have had it with a better woman! Phenomenal writing and storyline!
What an emotional story! Drix has loved Sasha for as long as he can remember but something and someone always kept them apart. Enter Taylah, she is like a breath of fresh air. For a long time, I was not sure how this was going to turn out and I hurt with all parties involved. I have to say that I am more than satisfied with how the story ended. What a process though!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
Everyone deserves a happily ever after, and Hendrix is one man who especially deserves to find happiness. When his relationship with Sasha hits a crossroads, what is he to do? Taylah excites him in a way he wasn’t expecting, but is she the right one for him? This was a love story that we don’t expect to be perfect, and there are a few tears to shed, but it was amazing and tugged at my heartstrings!
Revive
***kinda spoiler-ish. I hate spoilers but I’m going to break one of my own rules because…Hendrix. Revive is a story about how new love can heal and eclipse old scars. Hendrix was battered and broken by an old “love” – his childhood friend, Sasha. Although loved by the boy she desperately wanted, Sasha couldn’t get past her own insecurities, and made herself into the person she feared she was. Despite her biggest shortcomings, and the many ways she hurt him, Hendrix somehow found it in his heart to still want to be with Sasha.
After a desperate attempt to distance himself from Sasha by traveling the world, Hendrix returns home and meets the bold and beautiful Tayla. Is his heart ready to let Sasha go? READ Revive and find out!
While I enjoyed Hendrix’s story immensely, I didn’t give 5 Stars because there were occasional areas of the plot where I found myself confused or missing something the characters referred to in conversation, and even after re-reading passages wasn’t any closer in discovering what it was. A few areas weren’t as cleanly written as the rest of the book was. Overall an enjoyable read.
Happy reading!
One of the most beautiful stories I’ve read.
Okay I have a few things to say first before I get into this review. First I have to say that this book took me two weeks to read because I had to keep putting it down because I hated one of the main characters so badly I wanted to jump through my kindle and kick her a$$. I have never really had such strong feelings like I did when I read this book but for some reason this character Sasha made me so pissed off I hated her. Every time Drix would find happiness this bit$% was there to wreck it and for that I hated her because she was a selfish a$$hole.
Drix has always loved Sasha. She is his life and breath and nothing will come between them. Until one day things go bad and Sasha ends things with Drix. He is heart broken and vows to stay away from women at all costs. Yes he will f$%^ them but he leaves them right away. Then Drix meets Taylah and his world changes. He feels something for her but he is still carrying around feelings for Sasha so he is not sure he can give Taylah what she needs.
Then that all changes one day when Taylah says to Drix let’s have a no strings attached friendship and see where it goes. They start to see each other and something happens to Drix that he thought would never happen to him and that is he is not thinking about Sasha while he is with Taylah. But Sasha sees this and she throws her own monkey wrench into the mix and has Drix all screwed up in the head again. Will Drix be able to move on from Sasha or will she always be there in his heart and in his soul?
This is such an emotional roller coaster of a ride that I was laughing one minute then crying the next. I loved this story and I loved loved the ending!
What a beautiful story! This story is about Hendrix, who’s been in love with his childhood friend, Sasha, for years. Now, he’s older and ready to move on with his life. He meets Taylah, but sometimes getting over your first love is the hardest thing. I loved this love triangle romance. I couldn’t wait to see which woman finally won his heart. Just so good!
PURE GOLD JUST LIKE HENDRIX’S HEART
This is a truly beautiful story of a gorgeous selfless soul that suffers through years of heartache for the sake of his loved ones.
There is a life quote that goes;
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.”
To me it screamed Revive, as this was the path that Hendrix Michaels needed to take to ensure his future happiness.
Revive is the sequel to Reclaim which was Jagger Michaels story. He was sent to prison for twelve years. Hendrix devoted his life to step in for his twin brother to help raise his daughter with Sasha. Sasha was the girl who stole Drix’s teenage heart, and continued to shatter into pieces waiting for her commitment to him. One she feels she is not worthy of, due to the mistakes she had made, even though she loves him.
Taylah comes into his life, a breath of fresh air, sunshine and light, full of fun, ready to proposition him for some hot no strings attached sex. Which I must say was damn scorching! Taylah turned out to be so much more; they really connected on so many levels. He fell hard for her –“Good.Bad.Happy.Sad. I let her take it. I let her hold it. I let her heal it.” But, they both knew that Sasha held the key or did she? It was time, at the reality of seeing Taylah and Drix together Sasha was ready to commit.
“There’s nothing to fault Hendrix Michaels for, except having a heart big enough to fit two women inside.”
This book has the perfect amount of everything. I loved stepping back in time to see the history of the teenage years and the connection of all the relationships. It was an emotional rollercoaster. The story was pure gold just like Hendrix heart!
“One woman on each side. One woman claiming her own part of him. One woman who’ll have him. One woman who won’t.”
Revive is an excellent love triangle romance. Hendrix “Drix” Michaels fell for Sasha when he was fifteen, but a life changing mistake pulled them away. After pining for her for many years, Taylah comes crashing into Drix’s life. She’s his opposite in many ways and yet the same in others. She’s a breath of fresh air, a break from all the pain. Taylah could be the one to help Drix to finally move on, but he can’t seem to let go of Sasha, especially when she’s willing to fight for a second chance with him. Drix finds himself in the middle of his first love and the woman that came to his life unexpected.
Sasha is a complex person. She made many mistakes due to her insecurities. At first she doesn’t come off a very likable person, but I was able to see all the hurt that’s underneath. It’s easy to understand her, because anyone can become a victim of their own insecurities. Sasha is lost and in need to feel loved and secure. She deserves happiness.
Taylah is outspoken without a filter and easygoing. The things that came out of her mouth had me either cracking up or left me speechless. I didn’t know what would come out next. Not only is she fun, but also she had an inspiring way to view life. It’s hard to not like Taylah. I loved her personality and the way she used music set the right mood or express how she was feeling. She’s great all around.
Marley Valentine is amazing when it comes to writing emotions that come off the pages. I felt a few different ones while reading this book. Told in three point of views, which I wanted to hear from all sides. It was also nice to not be sure who he would end up with. Revive is written in a beautiful way that had me believing that Drix ended with the right person. In the end it doesn’t matter which team the reader is on, because it’s about Drix getting his well deserved HEA.
