Their relationship changes again when Celia learns the devil takes care of his own. Edward Fasbender is my savior. From the ashes of who I once was, he is helping me to rise. He has a list of people who have wronged him. And now he’s adding names to that list. Names that I gave him. And we will have our revenge. Revenge is the third book in the Slay Quartet.
This series is so freaking good! Just like ALL of Laurelin books, they suck you in and become part of you! I never expected to LOVE Celia story as much as do! Sometimes even villains need a HEA, even though for her it truly hasn’t been easy reaching that!
This story Is so intense. It keeps me on the edge. I can’t wait to see how their romance will end. But I know for certain once this whole series is complete I’m going to read it straight through to re-enjoy this story!
“Was this how the serpent had looked tempting Eve? Was this how he’d enticed her to eat his fruit? In moments like this, he owned me completely, and it was hard to fathom anything I wouldn’t do for my ruthless devil.”
Ooooh I love these two!! The love/hate relationship they have is delectable!! Oh, sure they’re in love now, and on the same side of the revenge coin. But under that, is this delightful push and pull that just draws you in.
Now, back in London, Celia is adjusting to be the lady of the house, having her day scheduled out for her by her controlling, deliciously hot husband, from her mani/pedi’s to the clothes she’ll wear. She loves it when he takes the helm of her life, but she’ll never be the submissive he had with his first wife. When his past comes knocking, will Edward finally realize everything Celia….isn’t?
On top of that, a plan is formed to enact revenge on the one that haunts her past. But will it work? It’s a long game, but one they’re determined to win. But will those plans have to wait? A bombshell is about to be dropped.
I am so in love with this series!!! Book 4 can’t come fast enough!!
Woah! What a web we have going on here! Deceit, schemes, and emotions ripped wide open! Laurelin Paige sure turned up the emotions in this one. We delve into Edward’s past and we see into exactly what Celia went through. It’s truly heart aching.
Edward and Celia are on a whole new page and it’s awesome watching them navigate their relationship. There’s a lot of love and a lot of hurt. There’s so much that happens in this story, revenge, vengeance, heart ache. Get ready to be taken on a whirlwind of an emotional journey. Can’t wait for the final book.
Do inner wounds heal if one partakes in revenge? Will you be able to move on? Will you be able to start afresh? Or would the wound fester and cause harm? These questions rake my brain while reading Revenge by Laurelin Paige. A very complex read that plunged me into a gritty and decadent romance. Laurelin Paige takes you down into a brilliant dark romance that sweeps you away. Revenge tantalized my inner dark soul with a hard hitting and explosive literary pleasure. Absolutely trilling. Utterly soul wrecking.
Revenge is the irresistible third book in the Slay series, written by the literary goddess, Laurelin Paige who intricately plunges you deeply into a fascinating dark and delicious romance. My emotions are all scattered. My feelings are all over the place. Revenge definitely played with my mind from the beginning to the end. Heart Swerving. Soul Plunging. Rapturous. Beguiling. Revenge is a hypnotizing and vicious tale of revenge and the absolute quest for vengeance. The suspense, explosive and intense. The romance, seductive and sinful. The story, sexy and stirring. Laurelin Paige delves you into psychological indulgence, festering, ripping and exploding every part of you.
I thank Laurelin Paige for writing Celia as a heroine. Everyone deserves love. Celia deserves buckets of it. Celia’s past still breaks my heart. I just want to hug her. Can you believe that I am now a fan of Celia? I am still wrapping my mind around it. That’s the beauty of Laurelin Paige’s writing. She makes you fall in love with her characters even when you felt hatred over them. Edward will do everything in his power for vengeance. In both Rivalry and Ruin, he was powerful, ruthless and cruel. In Revenge, he showed his protective and loving side with a hint of power that made me swoon.
I am so excited for Rising, the conclusion to Edward and Celia’s epic story.
ARC provided by author in exchange for an honest review.
Celia and Edward arriving back in London. When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.Laurelin Paige is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book
Revenge is book three in the series. I really liked this one. I think it might be my favorite so far. Edward and Celia’s chemistry in this was the best. I loved how much they were addicted to each other. I really loved both of them in this!! Looking forward to reading the final book!!
„I’ll take care of you. Trust me.”
Whoa, whoa, whoa! Laurelin sure knows how to slay! First she made me love Celia’s character, which was quite an accomplishment considering that I hated her for YEARS. Then she made me adore Edward, despite his cruelty and manipulative nature. And she still surprises me at every corner! Revenge, with its psychological and emotional aspects, is totally mindblowing! But that’s exactly the beauty of Laurelin’s storytelling- you have no idea what to expect and she never cease to amaze with her brilliant plot-twists.
I love how the author portraits Edward. He’s still the controlling and manipulative mofo, but we can clearly see that he’s a caring and protective man. His ways are controversial and sometimes harsh, but his mind-games have a purpose- to fix Celia and to make her stronger. There were moments when I wanted to shake him and stop him from making her hurt, but eventually I saw that what he does has an effect. And I swooned so hard when he showed the depths he’d go to protect and avenge her. His feelings were finally clear in this book and my heart almost exploded from witnessing the power of his love.
I adore Celia. She accepts her needs and finally moves forward. But she’s still strong and challenging. She draws a line in her submission to Edward and I admire her for that. We can also see how she matured and let me tell you, I really love what she become.
Their passion is something out of this world and omg, I loved to read all about their intimate moments. This couple is pure fire!
This book was such an emotional rollercoaster that my head is still spinning. Laurelin unraveled some of the secrets that kept us in the suspense and I was devouring them like a starved man. I’m dying to get my hands on the final installment in this series. The ending of the Revenge made me gasp and I need to know how this would unfold!
Can a book be better than its predecessors? This series has proven that and with honours.
The third in a series of four and it is a masterpiece of psychological warfare, character evolution, depth of emotion, and a love that defies labels.Celia and Edward deserve a genre of their own.I felt absorbed like by a black hole of irresistible attraction and intensity. Now there is passion and true commitment in their tumultuous relationship, but the struggle and the challenges are far from settled.
This couple is teetering on the razor-sharp edge between revenge and self-preservation. Is it worth it to pursue resolution for injustices done to them, or the price will be too high for the soul? There’s an analogy about strength and the lengths we go to in order to fulfill revenge that was simply genius. And the battle of wills continue with extreme force when they deal with past traumas and present trust.
Celia is still facing her demons in more detailed, painful ways, which I think take now a resolute, productive tone. Yet Edward surprised me with his own issues. His psyche is delved into with excruciating clarity. So much thrill in this book, in these characters’ constant clash and provocative dialogues, in the tempest and fervor of their unorthodox romance. Spectacular.
think my admiration for Celia grew exponentially once again. She deals with her husband’s blind obsession with unyielding hope and resilience. So much drama and raw emotions between them, oh my! I feel as if I know them, their happiness being vital to me now.
One of the most harrowing situations about Celia’s past comes to a keenly graphic epiphany, with Edward very much a triggering motor behind it. It is hard to go through, and epic as it is, it only builds up to more peaks of secrets revealed for this couple. I believe the tests keep piling up for them and the next book will be unmissable.

4.5 Stars
Edward and Celia. Where do I start? And, at this point, I feel like saying anything about this book is pretty much a spoiler. If I talk about where they are now, in the story, it gives away parts of where they were.
If I talk about the past, it’s a spoiler for the other books.
So, what the heck do I say? I think it’s safe to mention how much I love Edward. He’s fabulous, and such a jerk, and you just love him.
Celia. Oh, Celia. Why do I like you now? I really didn’t want to. At all…but I do.
I will say that while it’s not necessary to have read the Fixed books that focus on Hudson and Alayna, this is the first of this quartet that I really felt you would have a much fuller experience with the story if you know the backstory of Hudson and Celia, and the things that they did and the way they met one another and interacted. It’s a big part of who Celia is now, and it’s kind of a part of this story.
This one ends with a cliffhanger, and it’s a good one. But, more from a “I am looking forward to seeing where that brings them” than a “oh my, this is a problem” standpoint. Yes, I know this doesn’t make sense. Explaining more would be a spoiler, and we avoid those.
So, I will say this book is a pleasure to read, I enjoyed it, and I am looking forward to the final in the series.
Whoa whoa whoa!!! Revenge was extraordinary! Celia and Edward are trying this new phase that both are not sure what they are in for. I tried my hardest to fight it. I was not sure I could let Celia into my book world because I love Hudson and Alayna But she did, she got her redemption in my eyes and then some. But in Revenge she had me crying for her soul. Edward was not far behind. I became to adore these two. But there are mountains of tainted past that is harden to trudge through.
The ending was astounding and I had a feeling it was going to happen that way. I want Celia and Edward to have their HEA. I just have a feeling we are going to go head on with a certain hot billionaire first before we can get there. I love this story with my heart and soul. It has me wanting more now!!
Laurelin Paige has ticked all the boxes with Revenge (Slay Quartet #3).
In this book we get a more detailed view of the delectable Edward Fasbender, his past and what makes him tick. Still a dominant in every way, we do get to see a slightly softer side of him with Celia, his sister and young Freddie.
Knowledge is power and with that power Edward vows to right the wrong doings to his wife in her past and will destroy anything and anyone involved. This is nothing new for Edward as we delve in more depth to this magnificent man’s past.
Celia Werner now Fasbender has changed in so many ways from who she was before Edward. Clearly a woman in love who will give her husband what he needs to seek the justice that she herself needs to move forward. But can revenge go to far?
There is still one secret that lays between them and one Celia has vowed never to reveal. Edward wants it all, his plan for all his revenge lies with the final piece that Celia will not let him have.
Laurelin Paige has the ability to keep you on the edge of your seat, craving more of the intricate web of intrigue and depth in the plots she delivers.
If you haven’t read the Slay series by @thereallaurelinpaige you are seriously missing something in your life, and his name is Edward Fasbender!! Revenge is the third book in the series, and so far my favorite! The emotional roller coaster Lauralin takes you on is a breathtaking, heart pounding, shred your soul to pieces one, and soooo worth it! I can’t wait for the fourth and final piece to the Celia & Edward puzzle to complete my reading experience. This is not just a book series it’s a chess game that is meticulously drawn out, and keeps you gasping for more! It’s a breath of fresh air in a world full of monotonous words… Read and live through these words you won’t be disappointed in the least!!
The third in the series, this picks up where Ruin ended. In this story, we learn some of Edward’s secrets and it helps us to understand him and his methods a bit better. His mind games with Celia are ever present as he continues to try to rewire incidents from her past. As the story unfolds, insecurities rear their ugly heads, justified or not, we’re not quite sure yet.
He’s confronted with truths he’s not prepared for, on a couple different fronts. I can’t wait for the conclusion to their story in Rising.
Revenge is best served cold…
… Or so the saying goes. But, in Edward and Celia’s story, cold is the last thing they are feeling. Edward had wanted revenge on those who have wronged him in the past, Celia had once been part of that revenge… against her father.
Now, Edward knows the truth, the whole horrible truth and his sights are set elsewhere, even more so when he unveils the twisted, rotting and ugly ties that haunt Celia’s past, and her nightmares.
They converge in one man. A man who is the vilest of them all. A grubby, depraved and dangerous man. A man who thinks he’s above the law.
Edward has a plan, it’s a long-playing one and during this time, we get to see them grow as a couple, in strength and compatibility. Their attraction and chemistry never waivers. Edward loves hard and completely. Celia loves to get lost inside his dominance.
It’s been said before and I’ll say it again.
Celia was an easy character to hate in the ‘Fixed’ series. But, here in her own ‘Slay’ series, she truly gets to shine. To be that person she was all along hidden in plain sight. There’s goodness inside her that Edward saw, that he was compelled by. He’s got his ‘bird’ now and he’s not letting her go.
Revenge is the grittiest, hardest, most luridly descriptive story so far in this Slay universe. There are bits in here that are difficult to read. Eye-opening moments-for me at least. But, that’s not to say the story isn’t good or well written, because it so is. There’s stuff in here that I cringe thinking of how Ms. Paige came about the information. It’s dark and brutal, but if you can push through it, you’ll have the most heart wrenching, love confirming, dare I say beautiful and poignant story. It will pull you so far out of your comfort zone, you’ll be dizzy for days.
Edward finally let loose some of his past but, it’s Celia’s that is front and center of this book. But, when the chips are down, Edward is the one who carries the day. He may be a devil in disguise at times, he may be hot, sexy as sin and have the sexual appetite of a Titan, but this man??
OH EM GEEEE!!!… this man!!
He brought me to my knees, and HE made me cry. Not only for what he did for Celia but how he became her crusader. In EVERY sense.
This is part three of a four-part series, if you haven’t read either Rivalry or Ruin then stop now. You must read them first or you will be totally lost, and missing out on two fabulous stories.
This one is going to stay with me for a long time to come. Revenge might be best served cold, but when it’s in the culprit’s face, up close and personal, it’s soooo much better. Just ask Edward Fasbender.
I am serious now.
One day I will have a heart attack.
And this will be Laurelin Paige fault.
„Slay: Revenge” is a third book in „Slay Quartet” series. I am waiting for every book written by this author and this won’t be a suprise, that I was waiting for ”Revenge” too.
Now, when I ended it I am still in shocked, because Laurelin Paige knows how to write a really good story.
As I write in my reviews from the first and second book in this series I was really sceptical about Celia. I didn’t like this heroine in „Fixed”. But in her and Edward story she recovered in my eyes.
„Slay: Revenge” is a story which happens in London. Ours heroes back from the Island and they must life with people in huge city. But not everything are so perfect. Celia must live with Edward’s sister Camilla and let’s not fool ourselves this woman is like a witch.
But this is not the end of suprises.
Both of them have come a long way to happiness. Now, they must do everything to end the past and start the future. This book is their end. End with previous life of course.
„Slay: Revenge” is a really good continuation Edward’s and Celia’s story. I am really curious about the final book and the end of their story, but now, when I ended the third book in this series I think that I don’t want to say goodbye. I really like these heroes and I have hope, that in May Laurelin Paige gives us everything with them and „Slay: Rising” with HEA.
The deeper this story gets the more and more I love Edward, Celia and their relationship. And loving Celia is something I NEVER thought I would say, but she is a survivor, a fighter and learning to overcome her traumas. She has grown so much from when she was first introduced in the Fixed series and even throughout the Slay series. Edward has even grown throughout. He is possessive and 100% alpha male, but there is also a sweet side and loving side to him that he shows several times to Celia.
Revenge completely sucked me in and like the title states this is all about Revenge. Revenge for Celia and for what she experienced with her past. Like Edward, it is easy to want to protect Celia, to shield her and to root for her. Their relationship continued to grow throughout this story.
Like any of Laurelin’s books this packs in the heat, the suspense, and plenty of drama.
I can’t wait to see where their story goes and how this series ends for Edward and Celia, but there is one thing I do know, it will not be an easy ride for either of them.
Revenge is a MUST READ, along with the previous books in the Slay series!
