Their relationship changes again when Celia learns the devil takes care of his own. Edward Fasbender is my savior. From the ashes of who I once was, he is helping me to rise. He has a list of people who have wronged him. And now he’s adding names to that list. Names that I gave him. And we will have our revenge. Revenge is the third book in the Slay Quartet.
Edward and Celia continue to amaze me and their story just keeps getting better and better. These two were so addicting and Ms. Paige has done the impossible by making both characters redeemable. They were a force of nature together and as their story progressed, my heart and emotions were all over the place!!
In Revenge(Slay Quartet #3), Edward and Celia continue to navigate through turbulent times while on their quest to seek vengeance. And while doing so, they still managed to burn up the sheets with their dirty and filthy antics which were oh so arousing. Revenge was very intense and angsty as hell at times with an engaging storyline. Ms. Paige did an excellent job of building up the suspense and leading you to want more. And the ending was just….WOW! I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for Rising(Slay Quartet #4), the conclusion to Edward and Celia’s story.
Revenge meets fruition! Jaw dropping ending! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Edward & Celia have come to terms with who they are and how their marriage will be. Most of all love… so much love. Edward is working so hard towards seeking the revenge for his parents and for his wife. So may feelings are found but there is struggle through it all.
THE JAW DROPPING ENDING! WOW!
Five eye popping stars!
This series is killing me slowly, I am addicted to Edward and Celia’s story, never would’ve thought I would be looking forward to each book, but I need the last one like my next breath. If you haven’t read it, you need to start from book one, you don’t need to have read all other books from the author but certainly need to read all books in this series. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into them, sometimes just hug them, this is taking a new twist and turn and I can’t wait to see what comes next and how all the story will end. Bravo another phenomenal 5 star!
WOW Fanfreakintastic. This series just keeps on getting better and better. Edward, when this series started wanted to marry Celia for her father’s company because of revenge and then he intended to kill her. Now he is more in love with her than anything else. He will do anything to protect her and take down anyone who has done her wrong. Well I guess what they say is true there is a fine line between love and hate.
What an amazing story by Laurelin Paige. Two characters that we all hated in the beginning and now we feel the love. When we met Celia in the previous series she was hated so much but now we understand why she was that way and even love her and want her to be happy. Wanting revenge just as much as Edward does for her.
This story will have you glued to every word. Will Edward and Celia for that matter get the revenge they long for. Will Edward get the final revenge on A he feels that he deserves. So much more to this story that I cannot wait until the final book. Revenge will have you stuck to every word until the last and always wanting and craving more and excited to see how everything works out. Will Edward be able to give up some control to Celia and will Celia truly understand the things Edward does to protect the ones he loves.
WOW! WOW! WOW! If I could have given this book 10 Stars, I would have! I’ll describe it in one word, PERFECTION! This story is full of twists and turns. After the first two books, the reader was left with so many questions. Now in Revenge, the third book in the quartet, we are getting answers to all those questions. The action is non-stop as Edward and Celia’s relationship moves to the next level. The author has given the reader a brilliant psychological look into each of their minds, helping you to get a true sense of each characters actions and reactions–they are both so complex and fascinating. When I started Book 1, I didn’t like either of these characters, and now at the end of Book 3, I love them both. How did that happen? Laurelin Paige is a master storyteller who will mess with your mind and have your emotions all over the place as you turn page after page desperate to know what happens next. I can’t wait to read Rising, Book 4, to find out! Revenge is another MUST-READ from this amazingly talented author, don’t miss it!
This third book in the Slay Quartet is the continuing story of Edward and Celia. I’m blown away by the depth of this story, it’s intriguing plot twists, the heartbreaking past Celia fights to overcome, the overwhelming need for revenge that Edward seeks, it all leads to a emotionally charged, totally captivating, edge of your seat thrill with heart, heat and Revenge!
This series gets better and better with each book. Revenge picks up where Ruin left off. Edward and Celia’s relationship remains explosive. Edward is exacting revenge on the people who has hurt her. Deep emotions are involved. I found this book more intense then the first two. The story is fast paced, always something going on. Revenge does end in a cliffhanger. Waiting patiently for Rising, the next book.

Slay Revenge is book three in the Slay Quartet. Edward wants revenge for all who have wronged Celia and turned her into the person she was before he came into her life. He’s developed a love for her that knows no bounds. He wants retribution for all who have wronged her, to give Celia peace and the life she deserves. But Celia has given him a name of someone she protects at all costs. Now she has to convince Edward to let that person go.
This story from Slay, Slay Ruin, and now Slay Revenge is perfection! Laurelin Paige has taken a character (Celia), a character who was hated, and turned her into a person we want to succeed and be happy. Can Edward let the one person who affected Celia’s life in so many ways be, or is he convinced she can’t become whole until all have paid the price.
This series is Amazing! Laurelin Paige gives you one of her best series with Slay.
This third installment in the Slay Series is everything I hoped it would be and more. We’ve learned so much about Celia in the first two books that I was literally CRAVING more from Edward. Laurelin Paige delivered immensely. Revenge is not just about planning and retribution, it’s an entire roller coaster ride of feeling that deep need to make one pay and what that can do to you as a person.
The emotional bond that was woven between Edward and Celia transcends beyond a mere marriage. As a reader I needed that connection to form on both sides and by the end of the book there is no doubt that these two will be able to tackle the world head on. Even though there are still many things to work out between multiple characters Laurelin leaves lose ends from another killer cliff hanger that do nothing but tether me to the next book. I can not wait to see what Rising brings for the Fasbenders.
ARC received for an honest review
I have terrible bookzheimer’s, and it has been a while since book 2 in this series, so me being me, I had no idea what I was diving into.
However, once I started reading, things started to fall into place in my brain and I slowly remembered things.
Now, it did take me about 20% to really get into this story, however once it did, I was all in.
Celia and Edward’s relationship has changed since the island, and for me I liked where things were going.
My thoughts on Edward have turned, and whereas before I was unsure of his motives, I know that I like where he is going with things.
Revenge is a good title for this installment of the series, and now I am impatiently awaiting the conclusion. Is it May yet?
Oh, Edward Fasbender. You have made me not like you, you’ve made me curious about you, you’ve made me suspicious, and you’ve made me absolutely swoon. I have waited for this moment–for you to seek and exact your revenge. Thank you, Laurelin Paige, for delivering perfection.
Edward loves Celia, and the way he chooses to show her how much he loves her is by convincing her she needs to sanction his retaliation against her uncle and the men who wronged her. Throughout the first two books of this quartet, Paige establishes who Edward and Celia are, rearranging and reframing any preconceived notions you have of them (particularly her). Now, we begin to enjoy the payoff. Edward’s ruthlessness, his focus on dominance, his need for control, and his love of Celia conspire to make him quite determined to bring his wife the relief he believes she needs.
Of course, Celia is no quivering neophyte. She knows what’s going on, and she is not going to give Edward what he wants without getting what she wants. I think watching Celia discover and show her strength when she needs it is one of my favorite parts of this book.
Laurelin Paige does a deeper dive into Edward’s psyche here. You get more of his voice, which Paige has made us NEED. I love how she takes us into his head, letting us see how he thinks. There are times in this book when Edward will make you worry, both for him and for Celia. Yet just when you start to wonder how he will get his revenge without hurting Celia (and himself), Laurelin Paige shows you that she has firm control of this story.
And then there is that CLIFFHANGER. I whooped with joy. Celia Werner, I may have loathed you in the Fixed series, but I am a HUGE fan of yours now.
This review will cover books 2-4. Everything kind of blended for me, and I couldn’t distinguish between these three books. AMAZING STORY, AND BEAUTIFUL ENDING!
There’s so much action going on in these three books. From Celia’s uncle to Edward’s ex-wife, Edward’s grown children finding their way in the world. When add in Hudson Pierce and his wife, Elena. this is one couple that needs some alone time.
Celia and Daniel are both broken, and I think that lends to their strong pull whether they’re fighting or getting along. Having been this rebel for years, she doesn’t realize how much she needs Edward’s command. Granted, his ways are seriously on the warped side, but I believe his intentions were kind of honorable once they got past their rough patch from the island. But things aren’t all sunshine and roses w/the Fassbender couple. Celia is still holding secrets, and so is Edward. Both quite stubborn in their ways, they learn how much they need each other.
Edward and Celia’s love is a hard-fought one, and as much as they disagree, they’ll come to each other’s defense in a heartbeat. They’ve both taught one another how to love the right way; the way that works for them.
I really enjoyed this series, and I hate I waited so long. Shane East and Elena Wolfe were amazing in their narration. These two have a gift of inhabiting the characters they narrate, and it lends to such a wonderful aural experience. I urge you to read the Fixed series so you can get and appreciate the full effect of Celia’s redemption.
This is the third book in a four part series. Now that he has “broken down” Celia, Edward takes her back to London. I ended up skimming through most of this book. I really didn’t like how sexist Edward was. When he picked out Celia’s clothes every day and basically told her that her only duty was to manage the household, I decided I was kind of over this series.
Laurelin Paige keeps hitting it out of the park. Slay:Revenge finally puts the spotlight on Edward Fasbender. Yes, he is every bit the devil we’ve been warned about. But he’s decided that he is resolutely, 100% Celia’s devil. He’s utterly broken her down, but he’s built her back into a masterpiece he is going to protect at all costs. But will his need for vengeance bind them irrevocably or blow them apart? Like the best roller coasters, you’ll still be holding your breath when you get to the end of Revenge – we’re at the top of the very last peak on this ride and the drop may kill us. Because we know who the last person on Edward’s List of Lessons to be taught. And it just may kill their hard won love and trust and crush Celia’s heart once and for all.
This story arc is sheer brilliance and this cliff hanger may kill me, LP. You’re the real devil here. Making us love Celia. The audacity of it all.
Brava!!!

Oh wow! My stomach is in knots. I’ve felt sick! I’ve felt enraged. I’ve felt disgusted but this book is so good.
Laurelin Paige has stirred so many emotions in me that I don’t know what to do with myself. I can’t make bread this time and take it out on the dough, I haven’t got any bread flour.
Book number 3 in the series is a tough read. I could not put it down though. Couldn’t look away. We’ve had a raging storm in the UK today, I feel like I’ve been tossed about by the wind. I’ve been in full hibernation mode powering through my book rather than venturing out into the wild.
LP keeps dropping small hints of events in Edward’s past but the crumbs are just enough to keep the secrets hidden. Just enough to keep the reader enticed and needing more. There’s some golden chapters about the younger Edward that fascinated me.
My love and admiration for Celia continues to grow. I want to get revenge on her behalf too. Edward is hell bent on fixing Celia and driving out her bad memories by replacing them. He loves her! He really, really loves her. But with that love, he becomes determined to have revenge even though some wrongs against her were of her own making and she’s already forgiven and moved on.
Celia has grown up! The little bird has new feathers.
Off to chop the living daylights out of some potatoes in my own revenge attack. I might even violently attack some school uniform with a burning hot implement.
Celia and Edward’s relationship has come a long way. Could this truly be the beginning of a happy marriage between them?
After spending a year on the island, she is now back in London. Assuming the responsibilities of running Edward’s home does not come without its problems. How can she assure Camilla she is not in competition? Making friends with Camilla is another challenge Celia must face and resolve right away. Afterall, Freddie and Camilla are important to Edward and he must have them in his life.
As they get settled, Edward and Celia become more intimate when sharing their thoughts. What is still mind blowing is that Edward continues to pursue the annihilation of all who ever hurt Celia or his sister. How far would he go to seek revenge from the uncle that abused her?
You will not want to waste a moment to read this book. Edward’s true nature is widely exposed as Celia tries to make peace with her past.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
I loved this book. Highly recommend to everyone.
My Rating: ****1/2
Type: Series. Book 3
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Narration: Dual POV
Primary Characters: Celia & Edward
Revenge is the third book in the Slay series. Book starts exactly where book 2 has ended. Celia and Edward arrive back in London after the Island. Finally, they have moved together as a team and as real married couple with revenge still on their agenda. They have decided to work together to bring down the people who has wronged them.
As I had told in my earlier book reviews, Edward was everything what I hoped for, but in this book Celia is more. Initial half of the book, I almost resented Celia thinking she has lost her charm. However, she reinvigorated. I thought she lost all her fight, but she was a kickass. Edward and Celia are perfect for one another. He’s everything she wants and vice versa. The push and pull to get to the heart of who they are together was intriguing. Edward’s ruthlessness, his focus on dominance, his need for control, and his love for Celia along with his own agenda has made him quite determined to get revenge.
As story progresses that we see that it’s not just Celia’s past that needs to be confronted and put to rest, and when Edward’s past comes walking into his present, he’s forced to finally face all he’s fought to avoid, and finally settle all that’s been left unresolved. it was angst-filled, romantic and dramatic intense read.
Secondary characters were good. Liked Camilla, Genny and Hagen. I would love to know more about Hagan at some point. Climax was fast paced and thrilling. Edward literally stole the show in the end, yet Celia made more remarkable decisions.
I look forward to how Edward will deal with Celia’s ultimate bombshell. It will be up to each of them to decide how much they are willing to sacrifice to be happy. Let’s see how their journey goes in Raising. I cannot wait to see what’s there in the final instalment.

The third installment of Laurelin Paige’s Slay Series continues to keep me glued to my Kindle! The plot is so masterfully developed, characters evolve into someone that you will never forget! I love Edward and Celia, so unpredictable and cunning. Now that they are working together to seek their Revenge, the plot just keeps getting sweeter. Make sure you grab this series and delve into the Fasbender world of Revenge, Intrigue and Sizzling Chemistry!! Definite Must Read in my Opinion!
** spoiler alert ** In Book 3, the Damaged intensely, powerful, dominant, strong-willed sexy alpha Edward Fasbender, CEO of Accelecom, continues his quest to destroy everyone who was involved in the demise of his families empire. Though the path of his destruction part of his plan was to marry Celia Werner so he could take over Werner Media. Problem was along the way he never expected to fall for his damaged beautiful “bird”.
“You belong here, bird. You don’t have to do anything to belong because this is your home, and you are my wife, and you are mine. That’s all you have to be for now.” I f—ing love you so much that I can’t separate myself from you anymore Celia.”
While Edward was hoping to have Celia join him in the planning of the ultimate “REVENGE” on the person who was responsible for Celia’s traumatized childhood. It wasn’t until she learned that they were still conducting those meetings all the while she believed she was the only one that she agreed to join his quest.
The chemistry of these two characters astonish me the give and take between them. “You like me to fight you because it turns you on, or whatever, but you still expect to always win. I’m only supposed to think I have a chance at getting what I want. Eventually, I’m going to realize its’s futile.”
I keep falling for these two damaged characters. Celia desperately wants acceptance from his sister because she does love her brother and the one thing to complete them would be to have a child of their own only problem is Edward doesn’t want one or does he. He would do anything for his “bird” including murder. It is not until Edward leaves for the “final closure” of her childhood does she really begin to know the depths of what he would do for her. She leaves and returns to the states but when he comes after her does he get the unexpected.
What a cliffhanger! Can’t wait for Slay Quartet #4 -Rising
