Their relationship changes again when Celia learns the devil takes care of his own. Edward Fasbender is my savior. From the ashes of who I once was, he is helping me to rise. He has a list of people who have wronged him. And now he’s adding names to that list. Names that I gave him. And we will have our revenge. Revenge is the third book in the Slay Quartet.
What a thrill ride of a book! H*ll, the whole series is an incredible nail-biting adventure! Laurelin Paige is an absolute master when it comes to creating intense characters and edge of your seat suspense.
Truly, Edward and Celia should be characters a reader would love to hate, but their evolution through this series has won me over. I’m loving every interaction between the pair, and every thought and feeling their story evokes. Revenge is perfection. The reader gets to see deeper into Edward and Celia’s personal histories, and the events and actions that led them to their present day relationship. I enjoyed this book immensely, and cannot wait for Book 4.
For anyone who has yet to start the series, these are full-length books; fulfilling on their own, but definitely part of a larger tale. I’ll be sorry to see it all end.
Wow Edward Fasbender! You are one interesting man. Slay will will never be the same without Edward. The story was intense and I saw the different sides from Eddie.. Gosh, He fell inlove head over heel… His relationship with Celia were so intimate and addicting.. Slay, hellooooo the level of hotness..
I am very happy with the plot twist and turn.. It kept me engaging with the cat-mouse game.. The level of manipulation and Eddie’s transformation.. I love that Celia had kept Edward to be a better man..
As we head into book 3 of Celia & Edwards world things aren’t simmering down in the slightest.
Celia and Edwards attraction to each other is something there’s no denying they are and will be a power couple.
There’s more twists and turns in this one and as we learn some more about of the backgrounds, the building of the picture of revenge is becoming clearer.
so hard not to give anything away with this one so one click and come join us on this crazy journey you DO NOT want to miss out!!!!!!!
An intense and gripping story. Celia and Edward’s story continues to captivate you and keep you on the edge of your seat as their journey continues to unravel. The emotional roller coaster and intense feelings as their revenge continues. I absolutely love reading the passion and growth of the characters. Looking forward to reading more.
It still blows my mind…
To see Celia as submissive and vulnerable. Edward brings it out in her. And Edward…. so consumed with his revenge for his family. But he loves Celia in his own way.
This story keeps getting more interesting. I can’t wait for the final installment.

In Revenge, Edward is finally becoming a character that that you can like all the time. You might even find yourself loving him once you see the lengths that he will go to to seek revenge for those that he loves. Celia and Edward find themselves settling down into married life (once Celia has returned from her extended honeymoon). She finds that letting Edward make decisions for her life almost calming, but that is only if she agrees with them. She likes that he takes the time to plan her day, her wardrobe, etc. Edward finds that he likes it (a lot), in-fact when Celia disagrees with him, digs her heels in, and fights. He finally feels that he has found the perfect woman to compliment himself. Revenge also delves into Edward fighting to seek retribution and punishment for the men that dared to hurt his Celia when she was a young girl. Soon Edward’s need to seek revenge wreaks havoc on his life and both he and Celia must decide when enough is enough. Laurelin Paige
4.5 Stars!
Edward Fasbender is a wealthy, powerful man who’d built his own media empire. He was a ruthless, complicated man who thrived on control, and kept a list of who had wronged him and his family. He married a woman named Celia fueled by his need for vengeance. He tried to resist the pull between them, but no longer wanted to keep her at a distance. As they grew closer over time, he realized she was an important part of his life. He loved her sauciness, and it only added to his need to dominate her. He was finally able to admit he wanted her, and his feelings for her were genuine. He wanted her trust and loyalty, but he also wanted her to be strong, resilient, whole, and most of all his.
Celia Fasbender married her father’s business rival with plans to ruin him. She’d never planned to stay married, or have a real marriage. The man who manipulated her and played games, also made her feel free and at peace. He’d released an avalanche of emotions in her, revealing her true authentic self. He made her vulnerable and pushed her comfort levels and boundaries. She’d changed and grown because of a man who seemed to always know exactly what she needed. He challenged her to examine her psyche. He stirred new feelings in her, and she was seeing tenderness from who had once been a cold man. She craved his attention and his touch. The man she thought she would despise made her feel special. She felt claimed and treasured all at once. She belonged with him. She was devoted to her gorgeous, alpha husband, but would revenge consume them in the end?
Revenge: Slay Three by Laurelin Paige continues the story of a marriage of convenience that evolves into so much more. It’s an intense enemies to lovers romance full of passion, emotion, and retribution. I can’t wait for more of this complex, captivating couple.
Revenge is what Edward is after and revenge is what he is going to get.
A few more layers are peeled back and more revealed about the younger Edward’s life and that of his sister Camilla. I didn’t take to Camilla at first. She seemed cold and angry, with her own secrets to hide, but now after finding out more about her, I like her. Edward wants revenge on those that hurt his family and Celia but does Celia want the same thing? She’s changed so much because she’s in love. Really in love for the first time. No game playing. No pretense. Completely and utterly in love and I love that she is and love that Edward loves her back. It’s just magical! Celia and Camilla go along with Edward’s plan and revenge is indeed sweet. There is only one person remaining on his list the man who taught Celia the game and she refuses to reveal who the mysterious ‘A’ is. In an effort to get Celia to reveal all she leaves and goes to her parents. Edward can’t live without her and arrives to find that Celia has an even bigger revelation for him. Such an enjoyable read and to feel so much compassion for a woman who I never thought I would have anything good to say about shows us just how talented Laurelin Paige is. We wait for the conclusion which will bring everything to a head and maybe even a happy ever after for Edward and Celia.
Revenge was sweet for Celia and Edward! 4 stars
I loved that we learned more about Edward’s past in this book, because it informed his present. He needed revenge on people who wronged him in the past, so in the present he wants vengeance for those who wronged Celia. Celia was rebuilding herself in this book after her truths came out in the last book, yet she was still feisty and strong. Edward was just as ruthless and dominating as always, but his love, need and possessiveness of Celia was endearing. It was fascinating to read Celia and Edward navigate and build a real marriage with trust, loyalty, adoration, love and lust. I kept turning pages, because I wanted to see how their revenge and marriage would unfold. Revenge was sweet for Celia and Edward when it happens to the people who hurt them, but what happens when they have different opinions on who deserves their revenge? A cliffhanger is what happens, and I can’t wait for the 4th and final book!
*I received an advanced copy of this ebook for my honest review.*
“I felt more than penetrated. I felt conquered. I felt owned.” This teaser is exactly how I felt reading this book. Owned. Edward has conquered me. Between his past and the present, I’m enraptured by him. I’m just as caught up in the fiery revenge he needs, not only for himself but mainly for Celia. Spellbound by his love and protection. You’ll need to armor up your heart and get it ready for this book, especially at about 80% in, because you’ll likely lose it to him. Heck, you probably will anyway. But honestly, that’s not really such a bad thing. Definitely worth it. Laurelin isn’t afraid to take you places you normally wouldn’t want to see but she somehow makes it work. I’m kind of in awe of her talent. You’ll be left wanting more and thank goodness we will get it, but man I wish I could crawl in her head and see how this next chapter in their story continues! The end was just as torturous as I thought it’d be, too! Then again, she’s an evil genius. So I’m not at all surprised by that wicked ending. I’m not sure how I’ll wait for part 4. *Picks 5 of the brightest stars and throws them at Edward and Celia* (It still amazes me that I’ve come to care for her at all, let alone as much as I do)
The continuation of Edward and Celia’s story. The series must be read in order. Beautifully plotted and dark. I liked how Edward sets up his revenge that aligns with Celia’s past. Plenty of steam and conflict. Great book and I can’t wait for the end game!!
Laurelin definitely knows how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat! This book was everything and so much more! This is book 3 in the Slay Quartet Series. I wanted to hate Celia but, honestly the more I read the more I love her and Edward. I can’t wait for the next book!!
The title is sooo fitting for this installment!!
Book 3 is here and Celia and Edward are finally back and better than ever!!!
This story flowed seamlessly so that I was easily able to pick up and enjoy this interesting read.
So, in this installment Celia and Edward decide to try something different and make a plan. As they do, they fall into heartfelt marital bliss. Celia and Edward are the perfect antiheroes and their relationship takes some interesting turns that make them seem normal?
Buahaha…this is Celia and Edward and their interpretation of marital bliss is steamy, intense, and a little bit creepy.
In fact, only these 2 can make the best couple to plot REVENGE!
Both their characters continue to evolve and develop individually and as a couple so that I’m beginning to like them. They still have to iron out the finer points of how their going to plot said revenge and against whom!! Their banter is both humorous and seductive!
There’s an edgy softer side to them that had me rooting for them. Until Edward wants revenge on someone Celia opposes.
They are both master chess players…
Their individual style of coming together, and that ending set the stage for book 4!
4.5 stars!
Excellent read by Laurelin Paige. Edward and Celia a couple that you will hate to love. With the last book coming I can’t wait to read the development to the conclusion.
Book 3 starts out with Edward and Celia coming home to London, where you get to actually see them returning as a married couple and not in the way that they had been, I loved where the story took me where you finally got to see them as normal people trying to find there way in this relationship . Can Edward focus on other things but Revenge has been on his mind since he was growing up? Could Celia go back down the road that she is trying hard not go down? The chemistry between the two is off the charts but i have said that all along. For me i can’t wait for the fourth and final book to come out to find out what is going to happen. i can’t wait to read it.
I couldn’t wait for this book to come out. I am so glad it did. This book is amazing. I love reading about Celia and Edwards relationship. I am falling more in love with the both of them. This was a nail biter. I didn’t know if there was something that was going to go down or be a happy ending. I love reading the younger Edward and the older Edward. Absolutely love it. I highly recommend this book/series. Kind of saw a glimpse at what Marion is like too. Another great read. Definitely won’t be disappointed. Can’t say much without giving too much away. I can’t wait for the next one.
I want to first say please don’t pick this book up without reading the first two in the series because this is a continuation of those stories.
Edward Fasbender and Celia Werner know how to play the game, they know how to manipulate people to get what they want and it’s not always pretty. Problem is when you play games you sometimes end up playing the person you don’t expect to….
This series has captivated me, I needed to know the background of Celia and Edward I needed to know why they play the games that often hurt people who get in their way and once again book 3 has given me another insight into Edward and Celia and in this book we see their relationship start to change.
We see their relationship and chemistry become more intense as they move into a Dom/sub situation and truth be told this is exactly what Celia and Edward need to show they can both be vulnerable and they are both capable of love with the right person. Will this mean this couple have found their HEA I’m sure there will be more twists and turns in the next book because this love has been anything but straight forward. An emotional roller coaster that kept me on the edge of my seat and what can I say about that massive cliffhanger apart from I can’t wait for the next instalment of the Slay Series.
Oh Laurelin Paige you are a master of the written word!!! Slay: Revenge is so freaking good!!! It is the continuing story of Edward and Celia, two characters that I didn’t have much love for. Didn’t, past tense. Now I absolutely love them them!!! With the way that this author has developed their story we see more and more what has shaped them into who they are. I loved watching their love for each other grow. Bring on book 4, I am dying to see how their story ends!!!
PHENOMENAL! I honestly am baffled at how this story snowballs into more layers of complication that is more delicious than the last book in this series!!! This story has completely gotten under my skin! These characters are layers upon layers of of intense convolution. It’s what we readers dream of in a story, and WOW has Laurelin Paige delivered 10-fold!
This installment lays out a bit more clarity in what Celia and Edward mean to one another. Although, nothing is ever obvious with these two, we begin to see intentions on what is perceived as, a clearer level. The uncertainty is, without a doubt, still there. These two haven’t shown all their cards yet. The web of secrets continues grow. Both of them harbor so much pain that they’ve carried with them for such a long time. It’s what continues to spur their story on, and offer up delectable tidbits of intrigue.
With the endless web of mystery and scheming, Revenge promises more of what we’ve grown to love about this series and these two characters. It’ll put you through the wringer and YOU WILL LOVE IT! I’m truly beside myself; and I’m caught between a place where I am so excited to read the next book and saddened by what will surely be an earthquake of an ending.
***It occurred to me part way through read Revenge that there may indeed be people who shouldn’t be reading this novel due to some of the traumatic issues that it confronts and if I neglected to say so in a prior review, please accept my apology and also do some research before you read (if you have some abuse triggers).
Boy oh boy did I have some thoughts when I was reading Revenge. I think I was instantly lulled into a sense of happiness that Celia and Edward seemed to be on the same page–they were getting along (as well as they can) and the relationship they were forging seemed to be working. As the novel progressed though, I became more and more proud of the person Celia was striving to become and more disenchanted with Edward. She seemed to be growing and trying and working on becoming who she needed and wanted to be and he seemed to be so caught up in his control and his plans and his ego that even when he showed how much he loved her, I wasn’t satisfied. I wanted him to take ten steps back and look at her, truly see who she was striving to be and who she needed him to be but nooooo. Nope. Not yet, though I see a glimmer of promise and willingness to perhaps try to take it down a notch or two. I suspect that he’s going to get worse before he gets better…especially because of how the novel ended…and I also suspect Celia may dig in her heels a little too, in the next book in this series.
All told, this novel was just as addictive to read as the other three in this series and I’m eager to see what happens next with this entire cast of characters.
