Their relationship changes again when Celia learns the devil takes care of his own. Edward Fasbender is my savior. From the ashes of who I once was, he is helping me to rise. He has a list of people who have wronged him. And now he’s adding names to that list. Names that I gave him. And we will have our revenge. Revenge is the third book in the Slay Quartet.
Twisted and ruthless, Revenge is the best of Edward yet!
Holy macaroni. Laurelin Paige has done the impossible yet again, she has made me fall for Edward and Celia, even though prior to this quartet I despised both of them. Their relationship is intense, their passion unnerving, and their revenge is ruthless yet warranted. I can’t stop wanting more from these two. I need to find out what happens next! This is not a standalone, but I recommend starting the first book now if you haven’t yet! Soooooo good. I need more!
Wow…What can I say? Edward and Celia’s story is unbelievable. Finally, the revenge that Edward searched his whole life for unfolds in the most dramatic way. Celia is learning to accept her new self and voicing what she truly desires. Edward had me hating him, then slowly liking him little by little, and now, I adore him and his love and commitment to Celia and his family. And can you say cliffhanger? What an ending. Biting my nails waiting for Rising.
This book had me in so many emotions, but I love each one of them. Edward and Celia are just perfect for each other in every way. As for Edward he gives me whiplash, it’s like dude what the crap. Celia gosh I like her, but I don’t lover, because of my girl Alayna. But any who, Celia is growing on me (just a little, lol). Gah this book had me on my toes. Now I cannot wait for the next book. Thank you Laurelin Paige for another amazing book.
This series keeps getting better! It takes a really great author to take a character despised by her readers and completely change that opinion. Laurelin has really done that. We learn so much more about Celia and her history that pieces start to come together. This book brings the angst and the heat. I really am growing to love Edward and Celia as a couple! Can’t wait for the last book in the series!
Revenge is a powerful thing and this book is filled with lots of revenge. Even though Celia and Edward finally find love it can come with complications.
Even though I think all Laurelin Paige’s readers are still reeling from how she was able to make us care for one of her most hated characters. We have learned from Celia that not everything is skin deep, she is one tough dragon lady! However, she is trying to embrace this new life and move on even though Edward seems determined to help her avenge the past. Although she draws the line at “A” will Edward figure out who he is and go after him too.
‘A man who desires revenge should dig two graves.’‘Neglect kills injuries, revenge increases them.’ There’s a reason why there are hundreds of quips about the futility of revenge, Edward.
It’s every man’s business to see justice done.
Well if Book #2 gave Celia her voice then Book #3 definitely is all about Edward. And it’s no coincidence that the title is Revenge. As Edward’s initial intent with Celia had been quite nefarious, his end game truly was always about enacting revenge on those he felt wronged his family. But the plans have changed and evolved and Edward & Celia are no longer enemies but lovers who are committed to seeking this just revenge. As they methodically work on their plan, Celia is working on being submissive to Edward as she craves giving him complete control yet she stumbles and fights him often about it because it brings up triggers from her past. The multi layers of Edward are given in detail from his past through the present. I’m even more intrigued by Edward. He can be unbelievably swoony, sexy & caring and then cold, heartless and malicious without missing a beat. But one thing is clear, the crazy way that Celia & Edward find their way to each other now continues to strengthen their connection, love, and incredible physical attraction. I cannot wait to see how this quartet will pull everything together. I know it will be explosive!!!
Ohhhh how I’ve grown to love Edward and Celia! This is book three of the Slay Quartet and I cannot get enough!! The roller coaster of emotions I felt while reading this book- WOW!
Laurelin knows how to keep readers on the edge of their seats and this is no exception. Anxiously awaiting the final book!!
Omg what an emotional journey Revenge is, this one is raw.
This takes you to a place you could never imagine, or ever want to imagine, this one is deep, it opens more wounds for both Celia and Edward.
Both still very much have their demons, learning to slay them or live with them is a problem.
Edward is as dominant as ever, but at the same time we are seeing a much gentler side of him, starting to have an understanding of him…. or so you think!
Is Celia coming to terms with her new role and acceptance of submitting
They bounce off one another throughout this one so well. Just when one thinks they have a handle on the other, BAM!
As we have come to expect with this series, we are left HANGING!!! Thanks Laurelin you’re killing me.
I never, ever, wanted Celia’s books, but omg how much I crave them now. Can’t wait for Rising.
So, this is listed as a quartet so it must be read in order and we won’t have the full story till the final book comes out.
Part 1 ended in a HUGE cliffhanger and although book 2 wasn’t as dramatic it still left us with so many unanswered questions. Now we have book 3 and things have taken a turn. Edward and Celia are finally on the same page or are they. Edward is in control and he knows he wants Celia to be a strong woman but at the same time he has his own view on things and wants her to conform to his devious plans.
I’m on the edge of my seat waiting to see how the story ends in book 4, Rising which is scheduled for May 12.

Wow! This is one complicated love story. Edward is so very Edward in this one. The very best kind of manipulator. He is merciless and powerful and I loved him! I said it in my last review – I cannot believe I am now a fan of Celia. Getting all her tragic history, seeing her for more than her past manipulations, I now have a soft spot for her.
Yet again I am left gasping at the ending. Cliffhanger brilliance. I am more than ready for book four.
Revenge kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! This book is tense for sure. It puts more pieces of the puzzle in place for whatever the end game is between Edward and Celia. I can’t wait for the finale to see how everything comes together!!
Each book I read in this quartet turns out to be better than the last. I’ll admit I only began reading this series because I know of Celia from the Fixed series. After reading her in the Fixed series, I needed to know her story. What happened to her to make her the way she is. I really enjoyed the first two books in this quartet but THIS ONE is my turning point for Celia. This book is the one where Edward manages to pull things out of Celia about her past that shines light on what made her who she is today.
Considering Fixed was my first knowledge of Celia; that means that my reaction to her was to immediately not like her. Especially after some of the stunts she pulled. However, the more this quartet has gone on she’s somewhat wormed her way in. I don’t like who she was but I love the person that she could be and that’s the same person that we get small glimpses of throughout this book thanks to Edward. Edward …this one is a tough cookie to like. He’s so closed off and he hides so much of himself…even from those closest to him yet in Revenge we can see Celia break down some of those walls. My favorite parts of this book are the two of them together with no one else around and seeing both of them in their most vulnerable states. It seems only they can bring this out in each other but it doesn’t last long at all. Both so used to having their walls up for so long; aren’t used to leaving them down indefinitely…even for each other.
I felt like it started out slower than the other two in this quartet but it picked up so fast I was lost to Edward & Celia’s world before I realized it. There are lots of secrets and pasts revealed in this one and oh the sweet revenge!
I can’t wait to see what happens in Rising; especially considering the ending of Revenge. Laurelin knew exactly where to hit us to make us want to come back for the final book.
I don’t even know where to start with Revenge!!! Let’s just say it was everything and MORE!!!! Edward and Celia are adjusting to “normal” married life, while dealing with their past demons. This story had so much to it. It had drama and passion, humor, and pain. Celia’s dark history could definitely be a trigger, but it is written so well by Laurelin. That ending…Whew!!! I absolutely love this story and cannot wait for the next book
I could not put this book down! I loved the first two parts of this series, and the third book did not disappoint at all. I loved watching Edward and Celia’s relationship grow and deepen, while they both learned more about each other. Celia stood up to her husband, and discovered more about herself and began truly healing the deep wounds of her past. While Edward learned more about Celia and began helping her heal, even when she didn’t know she needed it. There were some big revelations, some surprising outcomes, and maybe some revenge. I can’t wait to read the last installment in this series!!!!
Wow, another amazing installment in this series.
In this book we see another shift between Edward and Celia as they grow together but not without their challenges. Trying to find their way together as a “really married” couple means negotiation and Laurelin Paige has given us two characters who each in their own unique ways are not great at compromise. Brilliant.
Along with these characters, who even when they are mad with each other, want each other fiercely, we get an intense plot. In other words this book has it all. Heat. Anxiety. A page turner.
Fantastic! What a fabulous, intricate, intense, nail biting addition to this incredible series! With each book the story grows, matures, becomes richer in ways which I hadn’t foreseen. I loved reading from the two points of view as it was so revealing! Laurelin succeeds in creating two distinct ‘voices’ for Edward and Celia which further enhanced the whole experience of reading this well structured, compelling book.
There are so many developments here that I am left feeling immensely pleased and eagerly anticipating the next installment! Excellent! A one click cert!
What a thrilling nail biting story as the swoon worthy Edward and Celia who is a force in itself is back home seeking somewhat of a normal life and plotting the ultimate revenge. I love we get to see deeper into their past and the why’s.
This was magnificent I can’t get enough everything is not as it seems and I’m waiting on pins and needles for Celia to explode as she finds her voice. I love it the story is exciting and can’t be put down. All the feels.
Omg, this series only gets better. The chemistry between Celia and Edward continues but revenge can be bittersweet double edged sword. Can their relationship survive the revengeful plot twists that only Laurelin Paige can build upon?
This has to be one of my favorite series EVER! The storyline, the twists, the chemistry, mixed with the growth of Edward and Celia will keep you turning the page for more. Even though I will hate to see the series end, I cannot wait for the release of Rising, the fourth and final book In the Slay Quartet. I received an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine and are not influenced by the author or her promotional team.
Revenge is the third book in the Slay quartet which makes it that much more difficult to review without spoiling it for anyone. What I will say is it’s an enjoyable read. It’s steamy and a bit disturbing, well one particular scene. Quite a lot is revealed and some questions are answered in this installment. Celia and Edward’s relationship has undergone some changes and will be interesting how that plays out in the next and final book. I’m looking forward to seeing how it all ends.

Edward and Celia are made for each other. He is exactly what she has needed in her life. He knows what she needs before she does. He’s a true alpha protector and will do everything in his power for her revenge. He even knows she needs revenge as well. However, Celia doesn’t want to be the person she was before and if she’s not careful, Edward will take her back to that place if she agrees to his plans.
Beautiful with the twist of what is happening in the real world today. A few pages are hard to read but life is not pretty. Laurelin Paige forces us to read the hard subjects and will change you forever. This quartet is mind blowing and emotional. And in usual Slay fashion, we are left at the edge of our seat to the very end.
