From New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg comes the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series.I play to win, and I won’t let anything—or anyone—get in the way of what I want. The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I … willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.
But so am I.
Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?
I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.
Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.
I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

Reveal is the conclusion of Vaughn and Ryker’s story and a rollercoaster ride of emotions. It’s one finale you don’t want to miss out on!
Vaughn never thought she would have been betrayed the way she was but she needs to stay on top of things with a threat looming over her head and everything she holds dear. She tries to do whatever she can to keep everything under wraps and keep her head held high in all that she’s going through. But it’s not easy and when the threat comes even more near, she’ll have to make a choice that will change her life forever but it will come at a high price… Even though Ryker is still trying to piece everything together, it’s hard to keep Vaughn at harms length when the more he gets to know her, the more he falls deeper for her. But will he be able to keep her safe from harm?…
After the intensity and pace of Resist, I was more than ready to immerse myself in Reveal! And what a fantastic follow through it is! Delving further into the unmerciful character that is Carter Preston, I found myself increasingly anxious for Vaughn as she navigated her way through the quagmire that has become of her life and hopes. K Bromberg does not let go of the narrative at any point. It is written with such a wonderful confidence and assurance.
Ryker and Vaughn are changing, finding greater depths within themselves; how to use and hone their skills and experience; that they have the ability to love beyond their expectations. All this while the world around them is constantly shifting.
This book is an excellent read. I loved the intensity and the tension, the dual point of view, the twists I didn’t see coming and the beauty of the love that is built between Vaughn and Ryker.
Vaughan and Ryker’s story continues in this nail biting conclusion.
The ending of book one left me in shock and angry at Ryker. I was happy the author gave us his perspective of what happened. That doesn’t mean he is let off because his actions set off an unavoidable chain of events.
As with book one the chemistry between them is as intense as ever. I admired Vaughan even more her strength and determination is only rivaled by her stubbornness. Ryker had alot to prove to me and he won me over. I believed in his commitment to her and I was willing her to give up her secrets and let him in.
I really enjoyed both books. The author did an amazing job with both character and story development.
OMG…I had been waiting for book 2 in the Wicked Ways duet for what feels like years. LOL! IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT! K. Bromberg killed it with this Duet. She is at the top of her game with Reveal! I want to write this review in all shouty caps, because it is that good! Ryker and Vaughn had to work so hard for their happily ever after. Reveal kept my pulse pounding until the last page. The epilogue was epic!
This is the 2nd book of the Wicked Ways series and wow there was a lot going on. With the threat of the Senator, the stress of Vaughn’s business, of trying to get custody of her niece, her relationship with Ryker seems impossible. I loved watching the two fall for each other, protect each other and learn to rely on someone other than themselves. Great ending to this series.
Whew what a rollercoaster ride Ms Bromberg took us on in part two and it was so brilliantly done. At the end of book one we were shocked by what Ryker did to disrespect the woman he supposedly loved, at the beginning of book two we find out why he did what it did but boy did it backfire on him and it earned him a dangerous enemy.
Everything that Vaughn has always been afraid of is about to rain down on her in buckets and I thought that would be no way out for her. Though she has a hard time trusting Ryker she cannot deny the intense feelings that she has for him. Ryker begs for forgiveness and tries to redeem himself by going head to head with her enemy trying to stop him from bringing Vaughn down.
Vaughn is suddenly confronted by another but totally unexpected adversary and finds that Ryker is also threatened with ruin. Despite her world collapsing around her Vaughn proves how strong and shrewd she is. She will not lay down and die but uses all the ammunition at her disposal to bring down her biggest enemy, and when her dark past is in danger of being revealed, Ryker goes on his own personal crusade to save her life from ruin.
This story is so intense with so many things going on that you might wonder how it is going to end and will all the loose ends be tied up successfully. As always Ms Bromberg does not let her readers down. How it all plays out might surprise you, but you will cheer for Ryker and Vaughn as they get their HEA.
Whew, what a conclusion! There is a lot that happens in this one, it definitely ties everything up. Oh man, poor Vaughn just couldn’t catch a break it seems. And Ryker…his heart is in the right place but it was like he was messing up left and right. There were a couple of twist and turns, it was certainly entertaining and I really liked how it all turned out.
Reveal picks up right where Resist left off. Vaughn and Ryker are caught up in something so much bigger than either of them can see. Vaughn is fighting with all she has for Lucy. Ryker is realizing he will do anything for Vaughn. Will their secrets destroy them or can they trust each other enough to find their sunset?
K Bromberg takes us on an intense journey that includes everything from politics to stalkers. I couldn’t put Reveal down and stayed up way too late finishing. I absolutely loved Lucy she had me wanting her to have the best life. Vaughn and Ryker had me rooting for them one minute and wanting to slap them the next. The author has a way of pulling you into her stories and holding you right to the last page.
Holy… just when you thought it was safe to keep reading Kristy delivers another twist or turn! Vaughn has been through so much in her life, trying to make her niece’s life better while working multiple jobs to pay off debt and save up to be able to afford a new chapter in their lives. Ryker thinks he’s ruined everything and works as hard as he can to try to fix his mistakes, all while being taunted by the evil senator and frustrated by his inability to make it all go away. It seems impossible to reach that happily ever after. And oh boy does that ending throw you for a loop!
The depth of these characters draws you in and that cliffhanger from Resist left you anxiously waiting to see what happens next. Worth. The. Wait. If I thought Kristy had written the perfect book boyfriend before I was wrong because Ryker has stolen my heart. The way he handles everything tugs at you and makes you realize just how much he needs to take care of Vaughn and make her happy and secure, especially when her future and the chance at a life with her niece is always at stake.
We can’t forget to mention Lucy… Kristy did a fabulous job depicting a teen with Down Syndrome and the way families may need outside help for medical treatments and therapies. Shining a light on a cause has always been one of Kristy’s strengths and she did not fail with this one. Hopefully it will inspire others to look more closely at local organizations and how they can help or just encourage others to take an extra moment to smile and talk to someone they see with special needs.
I’m about to start a reread of Resist & Reveal because I can not get enough of these characters and this storyline. It was definitely one of my favorites and even though we all cringe at cliffhangers, this conclusion made it worth the wait. Did I mention Ryker is damn hot?!
When Resist ends, K Bromberg leaves you in a state of jaw-dropping shock. You try to turn the page to find out what happens next, but she won’t tell you, not until now, in Reveal.
Bromberg picks right where Resist concluded, so you find out how Vaughn reacts at Ryker’s betrayal. You also quickly learn why he did what he did. This, as it turns out, it only the beginning of the twisy ride Bromberg takes you on.
There were so many times when reading this that I wondered how Bromberg could give Vaughn and Ryker the happy ending they need and deserve. I worried. Between the senator, Vaughn’s quest to adopt her niece, and Vaughn’s childhood horrors, there are a plethora of demons for Vaughn and Ryker to defeat. Because this K Bromberg is the architect of their story, she also makes sure the situation gets darker before Vaughn and Ryker find the light.
Never fear: the sexy times remain delectable. I mean … Ryker, right?
In fact, Ryker is extraordinary in this book. His loyalty and devotion to Vaughn–even when they cause him to do things that hurt more than help–are the sort you want to see in him. He never wavers, even when he knows he’s making a mistake. He will do whatever it takes to make Vaughn happy and whole.
What makes this duet so good isn’t all the twists and turns and suspense. It’s the way Bromberg writes Ryker and Vaughn. It’s the way she delivers a couple who makes you almost desperate to know more about. It’s the way she makes your heart pound and your thighs squeeze.
Every time I read a K Bromberg book, I finish it wishing I didn’t have to say goodbye to her characters. I really, really did not want to leave Ryker and Vaughn. The good news is that I can always re-read the books to spend more time with them.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
This is book 2 in the Wicked Ways duet and it picks up where book 1 ended. So you have to read book 1 to know what is going on.
This series is filled with lies, deception, ruthless people, suspense, and intrigue that will have you not wanting to stop reading until the very end.
Vaughn/Vee has people coming at her from every side and from around every corner just to get a piece of her. She is trying to keep her life together and not lose the one this she wants and that is her niece Lucy. Ryker is trying to help her but she learns some things that make her think he is using her too.
Ryker Lockhart is the successful divorce lawyer that only represents men until this one woman changes his mind. Will she be the one that destroys his career? All he wants to do is protect Vaughn and help her but she is independent and wants to do it herself.
What happens when it all begins to crumble around them? Will Ryker be able to save her? Can Vaughn learn to trust him? Will she lose everything in the process?
This story had me all in from the first page in the first book and I couldn’t wait to see how it would end. It was the perfect story with the absolutely perfect ending. I loved almost everything about Vaughn and Ryker, there were a few things I wanted to slap them both upside the head for. But they got their acts together and pulled it out in the end. So, get you something to drink, a comfy chair and blanket and enjoy this book, it is well worth the read.
**Wicked Reads Review Team**
Reveal was a rollercoaster ride of suspense and intrigue. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Ryker and Vaughn’s story was filled with twists and turns, while delivering the heat and romance you expect from one of K. Bromberg’s books. Just when you thought you had it all figured out, there’s another twist that surprises you. I could not put it down.
4.5 “Because you matter.” “Because this matters.” Stars! What a ride! A fantastic conclusion to this duet. The angst, the push and pull, the deceit and secrets. You’ll be hooked from page one and can’t read fast enough to see how it all unfolds.
Reveal is a great read. The tension starts in Reveal right from the get-go. I was thrown right back into the thick of the angst. I felt wound up and on edge from the first chapter.
I enjoyed these characters and the fight they had against challenges that seemed insurmountable.
I love Vaughn and Ryker. They developed as individuals in book one and in book two they need to find if they can work as a couple. So much seems to stand in their way, most notably themselves!
Vaughn is such a multi-layered character. I love stories that have a strong female lead and Vaughn is one tough cookie. She does show her vulnerable side, which made me feel for her and her situation even more.
I feel that perhaps this lack of build-up created a slightly stagnant flow in regard to the plot at the beginning of Reveal; I was waiting for something new to happen. I was excited that the plot livened up and twisted about during the second half though.
Reveal is book two of The Wicked Ways duet and must be read after book one, Resist. The end of this duet packs a punch and the story wraps up neatly. Although not my favourite K Bromberg novel, Reveal is still a worthwhile read.
Resist finished with an epic cliffhanger and I couldn’t wait to dive into reveal to find out what would happen next. The conclusion to Ryker and Vaughn’s tale is full of twists and turns, and it’s far from predictable.
This pair of characters are incredibly appealing, yet complex, flawed and fallible.
Reveal is an intense story of betrayal, secrets, lies, intrigue and romance.
The chemistry between this pair continues to ooze off the page, but it’s highly driven by angst and there is a great deal of push and pull between them as they deal with their insecurities and vulnerabilities.
Overall an intriguing and captivating story that I thoroughly enjoyed and I look forward to seeing what Ms Bromberg will release next!
I loved Ryker and Vaughn’s story. I thought this book was the perfect end for their story. I held my breath toward the end, and wondered how are we gonna rap this up. There were so many irons in the fire, my brain was on overload. I loved that Ryker sought out Lucy too. I felt their one on one conversation was eye opening, and she knew he loved her too.
This is book two in the wicked ways duet and all I can say is hold on to your seats!! Ryker Lockhart and Vaughn Sanders’s tumultuous relationship is back and we start right where book one’s explosive ending left off. Will Vaughn learn the truth and be able to defeat the senator? Can Ryker redeem himself after all that happened? “…we don’t trust. We love with conditions even when we think we aren’t.” Can this feisty Madam and always in control Lawyer find their way back to fix the wrongs between them and put everything right again? I don’t want to say too much for those who haven’t read book 1 (which you should) but know this is a riveting romantic suspense with twists, deception, beautiful steamy moments and so much more. I’m in love with Ryker and the connection he has with Vaughn. Total swoon worthy hero! Wonderfully written & Told in dual POV
***FYI: This is *book 2* in the Wicked Ways Duet. The first book, Resist, should be read first!***
After the cliffhanger ending to book 1, it was a long, long wait for book 2 but it so worth that torturous wait! I devoured this book in a little over 24 hours and I am NOT a fast reader.
I didn’t think there was a way Ryker
could redeem himself and honestly at the end of book one I didn’t think I would want him to.
By 3% in I was crying for these characters. Not a good look on someone sitting at work on her break in a public area. Thankfully no one noticed. It was a late night but I had to read until I was done because Ryker and Vaughn (and Lucy). I just had to know how this was going to end. This book had all the feels for me. All of them.
But it’s not just all the feels that roped me in, because as a fan of Bromberg, l already expect all the feels. This book is more than just all the feels. I dare say is one of her best stories (I feel like I am cheating on Rylee & Colton from Driven by saying this). This kind of surprised me considering when I started book 1 I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to get into the story because of Vaughn’s profession but please do not let that dissuade you from reading it!!
The layers of the plot in Reveal come together in this book. And I dare say Ryker and Vaughn are some of her most realistic characters ever. Needless to say THIS duet is why I am such a fan of Bromberg’s writing. I was pulled in and couldn’t stop reading until I was done even though I didn’t want the book to end.
I give this book all the stars. All of them. It’s hands down the best duet and best book I’ve read all year.
Reveal by K. Bromberg a five-star read that will reveal the whole story. This is part two in the Wicked Ways series and what a finally!! Vaughn and Ryker will just leave your head spinning, they will suck you in so hard. They are so human, as ‘to be human is to be beautifully flawed’, it just made them so much more in my eyes. I don’t know what to say as I don’t want to reveal anything that could spoil number one, this has been such a thrilling series to read. I don’t know what to put on paper, but the one thing I will say is that this one just built on the last and it surprised me so much.
4.5 wow
Thank you K. Bromberg for the journey through this story! Resist left us with a cliffhanger and there was so much I wasn’t sure how it would work out but rest assure this book works it out in ways you don’t see coming! We go into this book hating Ryker and thinking it’s the end for Ryker and Vaughn but Ryker is a pretty persistent guy. Ryker shows us that everything isn’t always as it seems. I loved the toughness of Vaughn. Vaughn really knew how to go with the punches. She was always ready for battle. She had goals in mind and things she was fighting for and wasn’t going to let anything or anyone get in her way. I loved the drama of the book, it added levels to the story. It was great seeing Ryker and Vaughn work through their issues with love, relationships, and trusting people. They were forced to make emotional choices. The journey was amazing.
An added bonus to the story is Lucy. I just loved her. She was such a bright spot and I loved her heart of gold.
The last thing you will think of this story is that it is predictable! Dive into the story, experience all the twist and turns, and finish with a smile on your face!
