I loved this book!! It’s the first one I’ve read by Mindy Obenhaus; however, it won’t be the last!!! I loved that Jude was so willing to step up and defend Kayla, whether she needed him to or not. I also loved that he was more than willing to be a father to her unborn child. He showed his love for her by the way he cared for her. Kayla had just changed so much she didn’t even know what she really wanted anymore. When she’d make a decision, she’d start second guessing every move and decision she’d just made. Jude helped her to regain her confidence, and helped her to see everyone didn’t see her, or would treat her, as her deceased husband had. Together, they helped her in-laws to change, too.
My Thoughts on Reunited in the Rockies:
This is a wonderful book in a great series. I’ve loved getting to know the Stephens family in the series and can’t wait for the next one to come out each time I finish one. In fact, I’m already ready for the next one!
This book focused on Jude Stephens. His three older brothers have found love and happily ever after. But what about him? Even his widowed father has a romance going on! Jude had the love of his life once and he’s still not over her.
And then. . . . she walks back into his life. But she’s pregnant and married if the ring is any indicator so he tells himself not to get close. Can he get his heart to listen? And why is she back? For a visit or to stay?
Kayla is widowed and pregnant. But she’s not grieving the loss of her husband, in fact, she’s relieved. And that makes her feel guilty. Now she’s back to the only town that ever felt like home from her nomadic childhood to be in her friend’s wedding. The only part she didn’t know about was that her friend is marrying the brother of her one true love. Talk about interesting!
Loved the book. The characters are great and I loved getting to hear more about characters from previous books. They all at least had some cameos with some playing larger roles.
Another favorite part is the historic buildings! I’m a historic building nut and just love all the old buildings that have been renovated back to their glory days. Now I want to go visit the places described in the book!
Definitely, one I recommend. Get a copy and read it! But I do recommend you read this as a series in the way it’s intended to be read. You won’t regret it. I don’t think you’ll be totally lost if you don’t, but there will be spots that make more sense if you read the whole series plus why not? They’re great so get them and read them!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
Kayla Bradshaw is not sure how she will find life as she comes back home after being gone so long. And then with everything that has happened to her. But she is determined to restore the old historic Colorado hotel her friend has hired her to do, in order to make a better life for she and her baby to be. But construction help from Jude Stephens will not be easy. But she has no option.
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet Romance between Jude and Kayla, though sometimes they were a bit humorous in their dealing with each other. Do they both need to be so stubborn? Author Mindy Obenhaus writes another fun and exciting book for her readers. Her characters were well crafted and developed so well throughout this story. I enjoyed the working on the old hotel, the details were interesting enough and the couple’s interaction made it even more fun and interesting. Jude realizes Kayla is not the person she was when she left, but he wants to find out more about her. Even though Kayla is a pregnant widow, she does not miss her abusive husband. There is a lot information she’s not ready to tell. But can she really trust a man again? This you will have to find out when you read this sweet read from this amazing author. A read you will not want to miss!

I always enjoy reading stories that allow people to have a second chance at love and Reunited in the Rockies is certainly one of the better ones that I have read. This is the fourth book in Mindy Obenhaus’s Rocky Mountain Heroes series and it allows the fourth Stephens brother, Jude, to have his chance to shine. Jude feels that he has been roped into helping his father with the family cattle business when all he really wants is to work with his hands. Jude is anxious to leave his job as a police officer in Ouray, Colorado and devote his time and talent to woodworking but telling his father is another story. And then, his life becomes even more complicated when Kayla, the young woman that he once loved, returns to Ouray after living in Denver. Kayla Bradshaw is now a widow expecting her first baby and she hopes to begin a new life running the town hotel. Is it possible for them create a new life together?
I found myself fully invested in their renewed relationship and their second chance at love. Kayla was so deserving of a man who would love and treasure her but she was afraid to trust again. ‘She’d fallen in love twice in her life and both times had ended in heartbreak….Things were no longer about her. She had a child to consider.’ (p. 169). Jude accepted that Kayla was no longer the girl he had once loved but he also knew that his feelings hadn’t died and his determination to defend her when her in-laws threatened her with legal action concerning their unborn grandchild made him definitely worthy of hero status! And then, an accident occurs that could change it all……
Reunited in the Rockies is filled with the strong chemistry between Kayla and Jude but this is a sweet, clean romance and Obenhaus has included a strong faith element woven into her storyline, even as she shows how alcohol and abuse can threaten any relationship. I will certainly recommend this Love Inspired novel to anyone who enjoys Christian romance.

With each new book Mindy Obenhaus writes, I want more and more to plan a vacation to Ouray, Colorado. It’s just too bad the Stephens family is fictions because I’d love to drop by Abundant Blessing Ranch or stay at the Granger House Inn. At least I can visit through the pages of the books.
Reunited in the Rockies is a second chance romance. Kayla and Jude were young when they fell in love. Assumptions and unfortunate happenstances caused them to go their separate ways. Now Kayla is back in Ouray, unsure of her future but a door opens for her to stay for a while.
Obenhaus gives readers a story of how much words can affect us, both negatively and positively. It’s also a wonderful example of how love is meant to build a person up. And of course, there’s plenty of family time with the Stephens, some building and remodeling, and sparks all over the pages whenever Jude and Kayla are together.
The good news is there is one unattached Stephens brother left. You bet I’ll be on the lookout for this final book in the Rocky Mountain Heroes series.

What a wonderful second chance love story! Reunited in the Rockies captured the highs and lows of the emotions experienced by Kayla and Jude as they attempted to help with the wedding of Kayla’s friend and Jude’s brother.
I enjoyed this story so much and really enjoyed these two main characters. Jude and Kayla truly loved each other in the past and both wished that things had not ended between them. The author did a great job of creating two characters who were so right for each other, yet had obstacles to overcome before they could have a happily ever after.
This story is book four in the series, however, if you haven’t read the other books in this series, you should still be able to read Reunited in the Rockies with no problem.

Pregnant widow Kayla Bradshaw returns to Colorado for the wedding of a friend, but coming back to Colorado means facing the man who broke her heart years ago over a misunderstanding.
Policeman Jude Stephens has never forgotten about Kayla, he has a passion for carpentry and has always been the one that his family could depend on. Lily enlists Kayla and Jude to restore a historic building in downtown Ouray.
Could this be their second chance at love?
Jude is a a responsible, dependable man, who has a gift for woodworking. He never stopped caring for Kayla, and is open to getting to know her again. He notices that she seems less sure of herself, and isn’t the confident woman that she used to be. He has a strong faith, and a good relationship with his brothers and father. He admires Kayla’s strengths and encourages her in her faith.
I loved reconnecting with the Stephens brothers and their father from the previous books, even though this is a standalone read, there were some details that I appreciated more having read the other books in the series. Kayla is a strong, creatie woman who has been through a lot, I admired her faith and strength. I loved how the story also follows Jude’s father as he moves forward with a relationship. A highly enjoyable read from beginning to end!
