I didn’t know what to think of Cassie’s story. Cassie has been on the fringe of the other books, so I wasn’t sure how to feel. But I was blown away. A few things I found different about this book from the other Good Hope novels is this book is way more about Cassie and Krew. The town is almost always as important as the characters and while it was there it just wasn’t as up front.
This book was very character driven. You really get to know Cassie and her background. You get to know her family. I found that I could really understand Cassie so much better after this book. Krew was almost a none character in the other books and the few mentions I thought he would be a bit a of a meat head, but boy was I wrong. His character was so great and you learn just as much about his life as we do Cassie’s.
This story also goes a bit longer I feel then some of the others. We start near Halloween and end at Valentine’s day. Which for this situation was just what you needed. If you love Good Hope and the great people there, definitely pick up a copy of Reunited in Good Hope.

One of the best of the series
I could not put this one down. I fought a bit with the teen age sex, but had to forgive them as they forgave each other.
Love this series. Cassie had had such a rough time and is trying to get her life in order. Krew comes back to town and realizes Cassie’s oldest daughter Dakota is his. They have to work through issues and find there way through. Wonderful story!
I love returning to Good Hope and this was no exception. Cassie has made many mistakes in her life but she loves her children dearly. One mistake was when she was fifteen and loss her innocence to her secret crush, Krew. Krew is now a professional football and has returned to Good Hope , when he meets Cassie’s daughter, Dakota. Dakota resembles his sister. Soon the truth comes out that Krew has a daughter. Krew wants good for his daughter and Cassie’s three boys. Can they leave the pass behind and forgive to start a new life?
Love, love this little town. Loved Krew, such a big heart and just wants to provide for these kids. Cassie. is a hard worker and has done well for her kids. Loved the building relationship of Cassie and Krew. It was great to reconnect with previous characters. This part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I read through my kindle unlimited.
Reunited in Good Hope is Cassie Lohmeier’s story. Cassie has been a secondary character in several of the Good Hope novels and, to be honest, her character did not appeal to me. However, I adored her daughter Dakota and her three sons. Reunited in Good Hope was much more than a second chance romance; it’s a story about one woman’s struggle to regain her self- confidence and put her family first.
Cindy Kirk has created a heartfelt story for Cassie. Her journey from an unwed 15 -year high school student to a confident, caring mother has been honestly portrayed during the series. Cassie has made a lot of poor decisions which negatively affected her family. Cindy Kirk has taken a flawed, unlikeable character and redeemed her. I liked that Cassie wasn’t “fixed” in one novel. Cassie needed to like herself before she could believe that she could change.
Cindy Kirk’s characters bring this book to life. Ms. Kirk understands the give and take that takes place in relationships. The conversations between KT and Braxton, Cassie’s teenaged sons was fabulous-the author did a fabulous job portraying the teenage vibe. Dakota’s relationship with her mother is tenuous and their situation made this novel and excellent read. The author didn’t shy away from the cause and effect of their situation-it was presented through honest, sometimes heartbreaking conversations. I appreciated that Krew owned his behavior, too. He suspected he might have been Dakota’s father but chose college and a football career over his responsibilities.
Reunited in Good Hope took me by surprise—it’s a fabulous read. Cassie’s journey has all the feels; and it’s the perfect addition to the fabulous Good Hope series.
This book gives you such a different view of Cassie then the way she appeared in previous books. You begin to understand how Cassie ended up on the path she had taken.
I thought the way Krew stepped up, embraced, and supported everyone was great. They each accepted responsibility for their mistakes and worked to move forward.
I love being able to revisit Good Hope. A sweet, second chance romance that occurs in a small town full of family, friends, love, and loyalty. Everything and everyone is not perfect, but forgiveness is there in abundance.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy received from the publisher.
Cassie’s life has been on a downward spiral since the night she spent with Krew while his life has been amazing. Her relationships haven’t worked out & she’s a single mother. Now that she thinks she’s starting to get on track, Krew is back in town.
Krew has come back to his small hometown to recuperate. He thought things were going to be even better when he catches sight of Cassie. He didn’t realize how much he’d hurt her though & he couldn’t get her to give him the time of day. Until he figured out that her oldest child was his daughter.
This was a very entertaining read. Cassie was doing her best & was being there for her kids. Krew had an easy life & good luck had really came his way until this last incident. I liked the way the two of them came together to make sure the kids didn’t have issues or feel left out once it was discovered that Krew was the father. I really liked it when they began to become a family & realized that family is what you make it. It doesn’t have to be blood. This was a hard fought HEA but a deserving one.
I love Cindy’s book, there isn’t a book that has disappointed me yet, and I hope she never does. Although this book is about Cassie and Krew, it also pertains to the kids especially Dakota. We have all come to love this girl especially for the life Cassie gave her in some of the previous books. Not knowing the circumstances that are expressed in this book, I couldn’t understand how in this wonderful town someone like her exist and no one knock some sense into her.
As we know, Cassie has been featured in the previous Good Hope books, but she wanted a new start and knew that it wasn’t going to be easy. Although in the previous books she was more of the not so good mother and just bad overall; this book brings Cassie to a new light, she is a woman that must face her demons and mistakes every single day and promises her children that no men would ever come between them. In the past she alienated everyone in her family, but some like Lindsay never gave up on her. Krew on the other hand is the NFL heartthrob that came back to Good Hope to shake up Cassie’s world but ended up with more than he bargained.
Some truths come out that affect someone deeply, but with love, understanding, and forgiveness is right around the corner. There is a big secret that is confirmed in this book and although it affects someone, there is still the love of everyone that keeps them going. There is forgiveness and new beginnings. I can’t wait for the continuation of this and the next one affected in Good Hope. I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book and this review is my honest opinion and thoughts.
This book is another fabulous installment in the Good Hope series. Each book tells a heartwarming tale and this one included a lot of forgiveness of both self and of others.
The story was based on Cassie, who has been mentioned as one of Good Hope’s more troubled characters in the past. She has four children with multiple men and there’s been quite a few conversations about what kind of person Cassie is, considering her first child was conceived in her high school years. Through forgiveness and trust, Cassie is able to work through her adversity and find happiness for not only herself, but her children in an old friend from the past.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it, however, I would have read it anyway because reading a Good Hope book is like coming home.
There’s nothing more interesting than seeing someone story through their eyes to understand what they think and feel. I’ll admit that after reading the previous books and reading about Dakota in every book I thought what is wrong with her mom Casey. But after reading Casey’s story and learning what she went through in her life I’m glad she turn her life around by seeking help. This book is romantic, sweet and funny. I hope Dakota and the boys get they’re own story in the future. This is a great story and worth reading it. I really enjoy visiting Good Hope. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Cassie’s story as in previous books she wasn’t one to admire and her mother, Anita, was even worse. I was happy to see Cassie coming into her own, determined to get her life together for her and her daughter who wanted little to do with her. Her high school crush Krew, an NFL player, comes back to town as he recovers from an injury. Cassie is determined to stay away from him, but circumstances have them spending time together and the embers of what once was are rekindled. They both have things to regret, forgive and recover from and it was heartwarming to see them work through everything and have their HEA. Even Anita became more human. Recommended for those who like small twon romance and second chance stories.

I absolutely loved this book!! I’ve read the other books in the series and Cassie has such a bad reputation. It is so great to see her story come together. I was hooked from Chapter 1 and could not wait to see how it turned out for her. Even when faced with difficult decisions or confronted by her past, Cassie stands firm in the changes she wants in her life. She does not let anyone deter her from where she wants to be which was great! I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it.
What can I say, but I’m absolutely in love with this book I’m totally in emotional withdrawal, such an emotional roller coaster following Cassie’s journey. Her story has hit so close to home. Many times I had to pause to get my emotions in check.
Cassie has had a rough life, she’s a single mom of 4 children. Her 3 boys are still at home. She’s struggling to make the best for her kids and herself. She’s hit an all time low, and is working on herself to be better for her kids.
Krew was shocked when he saw Dakota. She reminded him of his sister at that age. With realization that he could be her father.
When it’s confirmed that he is her father, how will Dakota and Cassie take the news? With Krew coming into the picture how will this effect Cassie and Dakota’s already struggling relationship. Will Cassie and Krew be able to move forward, and how will her boys feel about Dakota’s dad in the picture.
I love how Cindy gets to have you feel so intensely about the characters. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

Wow. Where to begin. I have loved following this series and seeing the characters grow and change. I’ll admit Cassie wasn’t my favorite and I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about her story. She has always been a secondary character who has led a hard life riddled with mistakes and being from a small town, everyone knows everything about her business.
Cassie has four children by three different fathers and is estranged from her mother, Anita. Throughout the series, we have watched Cassie make mistakes and struggle to provide for her children.
Krew Slattery had a rough upbringing and worked hard to be successful in life. He left Good Hope to play in the NFL. He returns home after an injury and runs into Cassie. Krew was her first kiss and more. Upon his return, he meets Cassie’s children and notices Dakota resembles his sister, so he starts looking for answers to his questions.
This story hits on a lot of emotions and is about second chances and learning to trust.

This novel follows the story of Cassie Lohmeier and Krew Slattery. Cassie, then a 15 year old freshman, had a one night stand with Krew, then a senior, and got pregnant with her oldest child, Dakota. Krew went off to college and NFL football glory, while Cassie was forced to change her life to raise a baby. Krew heard Cassie was pregnant, but never asked Cassie if the baby was his, preferring ignorance. Fast forward 20 years. Cassie has three more children, fathered by two other men who abandoned Cassie and the children. Cassie has struggled to raise her children, but is finally reaching a point where she has a chance to become financially better off. Krew returns to New Hope, sees Dakota who closely resembles his sister, and gets Dakota to consent to a DNA test. The test confirms Krew is her father. Cassie wants nothing to do with Krew, who wants to develop a relationship with his daughter and Cassie.
An excellent story of teenage failure, accepting responsibility, forgiveness, acceptance, redemption, and of course, romance.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the publisher and am voluntarily reviewing it. I so wanted for Cassie to get a chance to show Good Hope a new and improved version of herself. And that she did. This book delves into the struggles of a single mom that has made a lot of bad decisions spurring from one mistake as a teenager that resulted in the pregnancy of her first child, Dakota. The man Cassie pegged for the father denied his paternity and Cassie never tried to force the issue. This book takes a deep look at Cassie’s troubled past and the things she is trying to do to improve her life and the lives of her children. You really feel for her. This author definitely has a knack for making you get into the story in an very deep emotional way.
Oh, don’t let me fool you into thinking there is no romance. This book took on the sweeter side of romance because there were so many underlying topics that need to be resolved. I will say this Krew Slattery literally stalks back into Good Hope and slides his way into our hearts.
It seems like every book I read in this series is better than the ones before it but I think they are all equally good and you would definitely be doing yourself a favor by reading all the books in this series. You will love getting to know the characters.
Reunited in Good Hope is the eighth in the series but can also be read as a stand alone, however I truly recommend reading the previous books to get a better insight to the characters. This is a story of learning from mistakes, learning to forgive, and accepting forgiveness. Cassie has made many mistakes in her life but is finally learning to forgive herself and making amends to those that matter to her. She is trying to better her life and make a greater life for her kids. She lost her innocence at 15 to her secret crush and so began her downward spiral of making poor choices in relationships. The best part was the kids she gained from her choices. Krew Slattery grew up in Good Hope in a bad family, worked hard to get out and thought he would never return. On a rare visit home, Krew learns that he has a grown daughter with Cassie and so begins the building of a relationship not only with his daughter but also with the rest of her family. Krew blames himself for how Cassie’s life turned out. Together, they work on putting the past behind them and forging a new future. This was an amazing story with realistic characters and plot.
I received an arc from the publisher but all thoughts and feelings are my own.
Like coming home again…revisiting Good Hope (and yes, I have read every book in this series), is like returning to your favorite small town where everybody knows everyone. It’s comfortable to be able to walk into Muddy Boots for brunch after church, or grab a cuppa’ from Daily Grind, or pick up your favorite pastry from Ami’s bakery, Blooms Bake Shop, where you’ll be greeted by old friends and make new ones.
Reunited in Good Hope tells us Cassie’s story. Cassie, her four children, her sister, and mother have appeared in many of the books in the Good Hope series, but Cassie has remained the “bad girl” mystery to us…until now.
Kirk digs deep to show us the real Cassie. Not the one the town has determined her to be. And now she is reunited with her first love. We watch Cassie struggle and grow and finally get her much deserved confidence, success, and happily-ever-after. Her first love arrives back in town, a surprise to all, especially Cassie. Throughout the story as their lives intertwine, each begins to peel back the layers of the other, learning about traumas and successes that made each who they are today.
A sweet, heartwarming story of life’s ups and downs, with a lesson in persistence and forgiveness. And of course, a coming home happily-ever-after for a healed family, each character opening their hearts to acceptance and love.
I was given an advance copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
Cassie is a single Mother, with 4 kids. Krew is a former football player, sidelined due to a possible career ending injury. Krew is one of 2 men who could be the father of Cassie’s oldest child, daughter Dakota. A DNA test proves that Krew is. The other guy who could be the Dad, is around for a while, then Krew tells him off and he is not heard from again. Krew wants to help take care of Dakota’s college fund, since he never paid any support for her. Since he is the father, he wants to be a part of Cassie and her kids lives. Cassie lets him come around to help. They are a united front when they tell her family that Krew is the father of her daughter. He goes overboard on Christmas but Cassie knows he won’t take any gifts back. They spend time together, and hopefully we see a wedding in a future book !
Cassie is the sister of Lindsay from the previous book.
We get to catch up with the others from previous books also. Lots of pregnancies happening in Good Hope right now.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.
