Lia hopes, after spending a romantic week in Cancun for her friend’s wedding, she’ll come home with a wedding of her own on the horizon. But her matrimonial dream comes crashing down around her when she finds her boyfriend cheating on her with the next-door … next-door neighbor. Now, not only is Lia out seven years of her life with a cheating prick, she’s without a date to fill the seat for which her friend’s fiancé footed the bill.
Or is she?
The last person Lia expects to see while waiting for her flight is her childhood best friend. Though she barely recognizes Avery, all grown up and hotter than hell, he’s here promising her the best time of her life, like no time at all has passed.
What could go wrong?
This is a steamy, stand alone, adult romance with a happily ever after.

Lia and Avery knew each other when they were younger. After catching her boyfriend cheating she is going to spend time with her hot best friend. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is undeniable between them. The flow of the storyline kept me interested till the last word.

How I read it was: Most men are cheaters or players, don’t drunk dial someone you haven’t talk to in yearsss, don’t fall apart the weekend of your best friend’s wedding because she is already on the verge of being a bridezilla, Remember the little lies you tell, and most importantly enjoy Cancun with a rock hard body you can treat like a special toy.
You’ll devour this in one sitting. Sip a Pina Colada while you read.
After Lia catches her boyfriend of seven years cheating with the neighbor she breaks up with him and heads off to Cancun for the wedding of her best friend Haley. The night before she and Haley went out on the town where they talked about Lia best friend Avery and how she has not heard from him in eight years when he went across country for college and how she misses him. When she gets to the airport in walks Avery because she drunk called him about the extra ticket to Cancun and would he come and go with her. What will happen when they get to Cancun?
This is a sweet, easy read. Predictable, but it made me happy to read. Loveable characters with a friends-to-lovers theme. Some steamy sex scenes, and I personally don’t like when there is to much details, but this was “acceptable”. I’m not looking for love, but I would really love to have a friend like Avery in my life!

This book draws you in with it’s humor, heartbreak and friendship for Lia and Avery. Fantastic storyline of the one that got away, always hard to break from friends to more, the timing is never right or scared to push for that life changing moment. Such an emotional roller coaster reading this book, but so much fun on this journey of Lia and Avery to be reunited.

This was quick, sweet, and steamy. I finished it in one sitting 🙂
After finding her boyfriend of seven years in his boxers in a neighbor’s apartment a few days before they were supposed to go on an all expenses paid trip to Cancun for her friends wedding – Lia is obviously a bit upset. Who could she possibly get to go with her so last minute?
SURPRISE! Drunk Lia has a plan, and slightly hungover Lia is shocked to see her best friend from high school, who she hasn’t seen since, show up at her gate at the airport the next day. Thanks drunk Lia! Grown up Avery is ridiculously hot and promises her a week she’ll never forget. As I’m sure you can guess – romance ensues. 😉
I enjoyed the characters and the story – but I wanted more! More of their background in high school, more of what happened during their time apart, and more of them reconnecting and really letting that slow burn romance simmer.

I really enjoyed reading this story. Lia and Avery knew each other years ago. Then their lives took separate paths and didn’t meet again for eight years. After a night out, Lia was sad after breaking away from her boyfriend. So, She and best friend Haley went out on the town. Avery gets a call and invitation to go with her to her friend, Haley’s wedding. He shows up at airport. The best time ever begins from there. A very entertaining rest of the story. Must read.
