Bestselling Author Lynn Austin Launches New Biblical SagaAfter years of watching his children and grandchildren wander from their faith, Iddo’s prayers are answered: King Cyrus is allowing God’s chosen people to return to Jerusalem. Jubilant, he joyfully prepares for their departure, only to learn that his family, grown comfortable in the pagan culture of Babylon, wants to remain. Zechariah, … remain.
Zechariah, Iddo’s oldest grandson, feels torn between his grandfather’s ancient beliefs and the comfort and success his father enjoys in Babylon. But he soon begins to hear the voice of God, encouraging him to return to the land given to his forefathers.
Bringing to life the biblical books of Ezra and Nehemiah, Return to Me tells the compelling story of Iddo and Zechariah, the women who love them, and the faithful followers who struggle to rebuild their lives in obedience to the God who beckons them home.

This is one of my favorite authors and this book was excellent! Very interesting since it was scripture based.
This book was more than just an interesting writing. I just returned from my very first trip to Israel, two weeks ago. Reading about the release of the Israeli people from the Babylonians and their return to Jerusalem to re-build the Temple of our MOST HIGH GOD, was informative and realistic, and extremely inspirational. It is overwhelming to read …
Beautiful story that brought the Bible to life. Had just begun a study on book of Nehemiah and this book added so much to the understanding as it was set in the time of Ezra before Nehemiah arrived in Jerusalem.
This book is a book I could not put down. And made the Bíblical account come alive. Highly recommend.
This book really made the Bible account come alive for me!
I usually don’t like to read fiction based on the bible because it tends to have a completely different story than the original, but I liked this one, because it was able to let me see what it was really like during that time in history, without twisting the story to fit a fictional character.
This fictionalized tale of the rebuilding of the Temple of God in Jerusalem starts in Babylon and follows closely the the Holy Bible’s Old Testament, specifically the Books of Haggai and Zechariah. This story tells of God’s love of His children. Though some words of these more modern words were occasionally used, the actual time period never …
Love it
Lynn Austin has a gift for making Bible times come to life. I would recommend any of her books.
Opened up the Book of Ezra in a “story-telling way”. Although it is fiction, the writer actually followed the Book of Ezra in her writing.
Great Read!!!!
Lynn brings alive the story of the Israelites return to Jerusalem from Babylon.
Everything by Lynn Austin is excellent.
I enjoyed reading this book because it kept me interested through the whole book. While reading it was as if I was transported into the story.
Love Lynn Austin. Excellent historical novel.
Excellent series. I was totally engrossed in the lives of the characters while learning so much about the time period they were written in. I fact checked the events with the Biblical accounts and found that this series gave me a better understanding of the events portrayed.
Focusing on the Biblical books of Ezra and Nehmiah, the author brings new insights into the struggles of a people who have been vanquished to Babylon for 70 years (as prophesied much earlier), are now allowed to return to the homeland of Jerusalem, hoping to rebuild the ravaged city and Temple of the Lord. Many of the people, however, have …
love every one of her books, wish there were more about old testament characters. Makes those books in the Bible so much easier to understand and get something out of them
