Return to Falcon Ridge is an emotional and sexy friends-to-enemies-to-lovers story by USA Today bestselling author D.L. Roan Jonah McLendon didn’t think twice when his girlfriend revealed her secret desire for a ménage with his best friend. There was only one problem. He didn’t expect to fall for Pryce, too. When his secret is exposed, he tells the biggest lie of his life and leaves Falcon Ridge … biggest lie of his life and leaves Falcon Ridge with his heart in pieces. Upon his reluctant return, the last thing he expects is his best friend’s engagement to the woman who’d betrayed them both, or the forbidden desires that roar back to life when he discovers why.

REVIEW: 5 STARS
“Only this time, instead of the awkward kid next door, he remembered the guy who’d become his best friend; the guy who’d tried to save him the day he’d almost died; the guy he’d fallen in love with.”
You know that feeling you get when you have eagerly awaited a story and you finally get it and you can’t put it down? You soak it up and you enjoy every minute of it? Yeah….that was this book. DL Roan nailed Jonah and Pryce’s story. Yet again, another layer into this family saga that I get to enjoy with a goofy grin on my face and a wide open heart. This has to be one of my favorite ongoing series out there, and this book did not disappoint.
The love in this story was sooo good. Seriously….. I have been looking forward to Pryce and Jonah’s story ever since we got a glimpse of them in The Hardest Goodbyes. This family has been one of the longest series that I have followed and will continue to do so as more stories come out. They are all standalones, but I would highly recommend starting from the beginning because each story is built upon by the next book. The first book, The Heart of Falcon Ridge, is perma FREE and you can get it HERE.
Pryce and Jonah had a LONG road to get to where they were, but I have to say that the fight was worth it in the end. With revelations, memories, and new and old emotions being discovered, this story really provided a deep read. The devotion that Pryce and Jonah had to their love for not only Chloe, but for each other as well, was profound. When you are willing to suffer just so your true loves don’t have to? My gosh….I just ached for them all. My heart really broke for Jonah and Pryce when they had to deal with the hatred and the anger that was dumped on them, causing them to pull away and separate. I just can’t imagine people being that mean. I don’t understand it. But, when the heart knows what the heart wants, there is no denying that truth. I am so glad that Jonah had his family there to not only kick his butt in gear, but to stand behind him and support him as much as they did. Seeing the entire family play a part in this book just proved how much this family takes care of everyone. I LOVE IT.
By the time it was all said and done, this book was dynamic, it was emotional, and it was HOT. Jonah and Chloe were hot. Pryce and Chloe were hot. Pryce and Jonah were hot. But Jonah, Pryce and Chloe were on fire!!
There was such a great mixture of emotions in this book. I found myself laughing at Grey, rolling my eyes at him and then wanting to hug him. I mean, if you know me, I always want to hug him, but we normally get the hard-headed, stubborn side of Grey. This time we got a little more when Jonah had some heart to heart talks with him. This story allows me to sorta peek in on the entire family and that is one of my favorite things to do. Getting a glimpse of the McLendon family as they have grown in each book makes me smile. It’s like going home in my book world for me. And yes…I’m going to say it: with Dani’s book to come soon, the wait shall begin again because I am ready for some more!! I loved the beginning look into her story in this one. I am SO excited!!
Take note: the lifestyle this family leads is not your typical lifestyle, but the way Roan tells it is perfect! She gives emotion where emotion is due, but she gives heat where heat is due. I have never read a poly family story, so I immediately fell in love with the different kind of storyline when I started to read it back in 2013 and with each book after it, I have just loved. Most of the storylines for this series have centered around the poly lifestyle, but Jonah and Pryce’s story actually felt like it centered around a menage style romance.
I love this family so much.

WOW!!! Just really WOW!!!!!!!
DL Roan’s fans having been clamoring for this book, with good reason! This is Jonah’s story and promised to be really intense. And I can assure those fans that it has lived up to all the hype! Not only does the story pick up where we left off with Jonah in The Hardest Goodbyes but we also get to find out what’s going on with the rest of the family. And believe me, there is plenty to catch up on. This book, OMG, I really wish I could give more than 5 stars. The heat level in this book well exceeds that in previous books but it is in no way gratuitous. The relationships are not only intense, they are very complex. And not just those between the main characters, but also those between the MCs and their families. And this author manages those relationships masterfully! Even with all the different characters there isn’t a feeling of the story being rushed. It flows smoothly and draws the reader in and at times has you either on the edge of your seat or laughing out loud. Oh, and throw in some tears!
All in all, a wonderful addition to the series. And now I anxiously await Dani’s story!!!!
Great series !
Book six in The McLendon Family Saga series. Can be read as stand-alone, but so much better when series is read in order. The McLendon’s are a poly family going back generations. The large family are secondary characters throughout the series. Told in multiple POV with HEA. Jonah, Pryce, and Chloe’s story starts with them in high school and is told both in the present and with scenes from their past. There is some steam, but mostly a story very well told about accepting yourself and wanting acceptance from your family. I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would, and I love this series!
great addition to the series
love her books
I love the book but I’m sorry I didn’t like the ending. I kept wondering what happen to Pryce’s money. Did he cash in his dead father old stock?
