Retriever Ransom by Molly Fitz has Angie and Octo-Cat getting their first paid PI case. The new mayor hires Angie and the gang to find his missing dog. The poor canine was dognapped and Glendale’s new mayor wants him returned. Retriever Ransom is the 10th A Pet Whisperer PI book, but it can be read on its own. Each book has the necessary background information on Angie and how she came to talk to animals. Humor abounds as Angie, Octo-Cat and the others search for the missing pooch. I just love the characters in this series. I enjoy reading about their adventures. Octo-Cat continues to provide snark with his comments. Let us not forget Nan, Paisley and Pringle. There is a new animal who I hope we will see again in the future. I like how the author provides realistic mannerisms and thoughts for each animal. She really brings them to life. Retriever Ransom is a great pick me up book if you are feeling down or need a humorous diversion. I look forward to Angie and Octo-Cat’s next adventure.
These stories are so much fun. Almost everyone gets in on the action this time, Nan, Octo-cat, Pringles, Paisley and newcomer, Cujo. Not really counting, Marco, since he really wasn’t much help. No murder this time, but another kidnapping or is that, dognapping? I enjoyed this book and look forward to Octo-cat having to deal with kittens.
Angie and Octo-Cat has a client. The Mayors dog has been stolen, Pet Whisperer P.I. is on the case. This book made me sad. I like all the characters and animals. This book like all the rest are fast, fun and easy reads. On to the next book.
This is another fun read from Molly Fitz! This retriever needs some help for sure.. Entertaining, adorable and oh so clever! I voluntarily received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I loved this instalment to the Pi whisper series. The introduction of a new pet friend was just hilarious and of course the firm favourites played a big part to. The only thing I would say is the mystery wasn’t really there, Angie and Nan did do some investigating but with the lack of suspects it was obvious who kidnapped the dog. It is the actions of the animals that steal the show and the reason it still gets five stars from me, so it doesn’t matter. It also draws a conclusion to the previous book which I didn’t even realise was missing. On to the next book.
With the start of a new year it sees changes for Angie and her family. Nan and a drill sergeant called Cujo want to help Angie get fit by jogging, January is probably not the best time of year. Angie is a lot more excited about her first paying job as a private investigator. Octo-cat no so much. The new mayor’s Labrador has been dognapped and to get him back all he has to do is resign his position. Can Angie and the gang get him back in time?
I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review
Once again “poor” Angie faces troubles while trying to help someone, of course Octo-Cat knows something isn’t right. You gotta love Pringle, right? Well maybe not his antics, but still.
Add in Nan with her cute Paisley and all sorts of good and not so good can happen on any given day.
I love the Pet whisperer series.
Another good story! I just love all the animals.
This one is over the top good. There is the golden retriever & another new animal in this one who actually finds the retriever. But that puts Angie into danger & another problem to solve. The raccoon has a major role in this book which goes to his head, I think. I love this series SOOOOO much. I received an ARC. This is my happy, voluntary, honest review.
I enjoyed this fun, well-written book. The mayor hires Angie to find out who has dog-napped his Golden Retriever. Angie and Octo-Cat embark an another investigation and she goes above and beyond to bring it to a resolution. This was an entertaining book and I look forward to reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.
More fun and mayhem with Angie, Octo-cat, Nan and the rest of their mismatched family. Angie finally gets a paying case but it brings her in contact with a previous combatant things escalate and it looks like this case might be her last. Of course the animals save the day and Angie will be back.
This is book number ten in the Pet Whisperer P.I. series. I enjoyed returning to Blueberry Bay in Maine and meeting up again with Angie Russo and the talking animals.
I liked that this book was different from the other books in the series as no one died, although it was close. I also liked the twists and turns I did not see coming. It made the story very interesting and exciting. I also liked that characters from previous books wound up in this story, including Mr. Thompson from the law firm where Angie had worked. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I just love Angie and Octo-Cat and I am always ready to read their new adventure and to see who might be a new helper for them. The mayor is newly elected and someone isnt happy with that because they have kidnapped his pet golden retriever until he resigns his job. Will Angie and Octo save the day or will the mayor have to resign. Grab your copy today and be ready to enjoy another adventure from Octo Cat. This series is the best ever.
Can her First payed case turn a very dangerous one for Angie? New mayo Mark ask them to find his golden retriever. He just got a ransom note after just been elected. Paisley, Cujo, a new buddy dog, will sane Angie life while discovering the truth about Marco’s disappearing
I loved this book! In my humble opinion this is the best one yet. It is full of laughs
and adventure. You don’t want to miss this one! I received an ARC copy of this book
and was not required to write a review. All opinions expressed are my own.
A very cute novella. Angi can talk to animals and usually she teams up with her cat to solve whatever mystery they’ve stumbled into. This time she and her grandma, Nan, find themselves looking for a golden retriever with the help of a friends dog, Cujo. And Pringle the raccoon helps also.
I have been reading this series since the first book and they just keep getting better. In Retriever Ransom, Someone has kidnapped the mayor’s dog. This will be Angie’s first paying case. With laugh out loud moments and new talking animals, this plot takes a dastardly turn just when it looks like case solved. Pringle can be very annoying, but he really saves the day in this adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed Retriever Ransom.
Love Angie and Oct Cat’s banter and her grandma is hilarious!!! Finally their first paying case. Will Angie find the mayor’s missing dog? Is everything as it seems? She just seems to be in the right place at the wrong time.
This book is fabulous! I laughed so hard at the antics of Octo Cat and Pringle’s the raccoon. There is so much to love about this book. I always enjoy the mystery and danger but this story had me in stitches! I love how the escapades that Angie goes on always has her over the top grandmother and a crazy animal involved. This story had several animals joining in with the mystery and just made it so fun! Molly’s books will just keep you coming back for more.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.
“A dishonest client no doubt would make solving the case much more difficult. Still, I couldn’t allow Marco to duffer for his owner’s crimes whatever they were.”
9 cases already and they all paid…bupkus. Would the tenth be the charm? The newly elected mayor might be their first paying client, but why is there such an uproar? To some people maybe he was as good a choice. He’s single; he has a dog. So why did someone dog-nap Marco?
Dealing with more snow than a human should have to, Molly has all her animals around, including a couple of new ones as she, Octo-Cat, Paisley and Pringle traverse the area in a 2 shot mystery that puts everyone in danger, especially Angie if Octo-cat doesn’t get his demands met THIS time…
Molly Fitz must read minds because I was just wondering when the next book in the series would come out… and I devoured in in a few hours. These books…these characters are so wonderful you just can’t stop at one! Highly recommended. 5/5
